• Pass value to an include file in php.

  Hi, How do you pass a parameter into an include file? I tried the following but it doesn't work. include "myfile.php?var=123"; and in myfile.php, I try to retrieve the parameter using $_GET["var"]. include "myfile.php?var=123"; will not work. PHP searches for a file with this exact name and does not parse the parameter for that I also did this: include "http://MyGreatSite.com/myfile.php?var=123";but it does not also work. Any hints? Thanks.

• Activate WPF command based on TextBox value

  This is MVVM application. I have form and related view model class. There is TextBox, Button and ListBox on form. Button is bound to DelegateCommand that has CanExecute function. Idea is that user enters some data in text box, presses button and data is appended to list box. I would like to enable command (and button) when user enters correct data in TextBox. Things look like this now: CanExecute() contains code that checks if data in property bound to text box is correct. Text box is bound to property in view model UpdateSourceTrigger is set to PropertyChanged and property in view model is updated after each key user presses. Problem is that CanExecute() does not fire when user enters data in text box. It doesn't fire even when text box lose focus. How could I make this work?

I want to select the FundingCancellationReason corrersponding to minimum date for each funding. I wrote a query as follows.   I have a model that would look something like: my_diet = Diet.new my_diet.food_type_1 = "beef" my_diet.food_type_1_percentage = 40 my_diet.food_type_2 = "carrots" my_diet.food_type_2_percentage = 50 my_diet.food_type_3 = "beans" my_diet.food_type_3_percentage = 5 my_diet.food_type_4 = "chicken" my_diet.food_type_4_percentage = 5 I need to find which food_type has the highest percentage. So far I've tried creating a hash out of the attibutes and percentages then sorting the hash (see below) but it feels like there must be a cleaner way to do it. food_type_percentages = { :food_type_1 => my_diet.foo_type_percentage_1_percentage.nil? ? 0 : my_dient.food_type_1_percentage, :food_type_2 => my_diet.foo_type_percentage_2_percentage.nil? ? 0 : my_dient.food_type_2_percentage, :food_type_3 => my_diet.foo_type_percentage_3_percentage.nil? ? 0 : my_dient.food_type_3_percentage, :food_type_4 => my_diet.foo_type_percentage_4_percentage.nil? ? 0 : my_dient.food_type_4_percentage } food_type_percentages.sort {|a,b| a[1]<=>b[1]}.last Any ideas?   Users writing an article have the option to write some tags, tags are written like this: tag1, tag2, tag3 So tags are stored like: $tags = "tag1, tag2, tag3"; I want to make sure, every tag has a minimum of 3 characters, so i need to validate the tags. I have tried this: $tagsstring = explode(",", $tags); $tagslength = array_map('strlen', $tagsstring); if (min($tagslength) < 3) { echo "Error... Each tag has to be at least 3 characters."; } It seems to work, sometimes... But of you write: tag1, df It wont give an error. Any suggestions?

  Question: What is a good datatype to keep in session for a large collection of keys and values to frequently reference and update? Application: Updating an old .NET web app with a million pages and grids to have all the grids maintain their sort. They currently access helper code to format themselves graphically on load and on sort. I figured I could add to that code to check for a key based on the page and grid id in a collection in session to see if it has a previous expression on load. and the on sort update/add its appropriate item in the collection.   I have an array that is many levels deep and I am wondering what is the best way to get one of the child element values that is deep in my array. I assume I need to use a recursive method, but what is the best way to do this? Or is there a faster way to do this? • Django: ordering numerical value with order_by

  I'm in a situation where I must output a quite large list of objects by a CharField used to store street addresses. My problem is, that obviously the data is ordered by ASCII codes since it's a Charfield, with the predictable results .. it sort the numbers like this; 1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 2, 20, 21.... Now the obvious step would be to change the Charfield the proper field type (IntegerField let's say), however it cannot work since some address might have apartments .. like "128A". I really don't know how I can order this properly ..
