    I am just starting to learn about the code contracts library that comes standard with VS2010. One thing I am running into right away is what some of the contract clauses really mean. For example, how are these two statements different? Contract.Requires(!mycollection.Any(a => a.ID == newID)); Contract.Requires(!Contract.Exists(mycollection, a => a.ID == newID)); In other words, what does Contract.Exists do in practical purposes, either for a developer using my function, or for the static code analysis system?

    I have a class like this class someclass{ public function somemethod(){} } Now I have an array: $somearray['someclass'] = new someclass(); $somearray['somemethod'] = 'somemethod'; How can I fire them, I tried the following: $somearray['someclass']->$somearray['somemethod'](); usign this I get the following error: Fatal error: Method name must be a string in ......................     Hi. Code not working because of async query and variable scope problem. I can't understand how to solve this. Change to $.ajax method with async:false - not an option.   • global variables doesn't change value in Javascript

    My project is composed by 2 html pages: 1)index.html, wich contains the login and the registration form. 2)user_logged.html, wich contains all the features of a logged user. Now, what I want to do is a control if the user is really logged, to avoid the case where a user paste a url in the browser and can see the pages of another user. hours as now, if a user paste this url in the browser: www.user_loggato.html?user=x#profile is as if logged in as user x and this is not nice. My html pages both use js files that contains scripts. I decided to create a global variable called logged inizialized to false and change the variable to true when the login is succesfull. The problem is that the variable, remains false. here is the code: var logged=false; (write in the file a.js) while in the file b.js I have: function login() { //if succesfull logged=true; window.location.href = "user_loggato.html?user="+ JSON.parse(str).username + #profilo"; Now with some alerts I found that my variable logged is always false. Why? if I have not explained well or if there is not some information in order to respond to my question let me know.

How do I transform those into a opaque pixel p? Does the alpha channel go in the high byte or the low byte? I googled up the documentation but it only states that: Each pixel is stored on 4 bytes. Each channel (RGB and alpha for translucency) is stored with 8 bits of precision (256 possible values.) This configuration is very flexible and offers the best quality.   • Perl: Value of response code in HTTP::Request

    Hi all, So, I am writing a code to get a document from the internet. The document size is around 200 KB. This is the code: !/usr/local/bin/perl -w use strict; use LWP::UserAgent; my $ua = LWP::UserAgent->new; my $url = "SOME URL"; my $req = HTTP::Request->new(GET => $url); my $res = $ua->request($req); if($res->is_success){ print $res->content ."\n"; } else{ print "Error: " . $res->status_line; } Now, the only problem is I can't mention what the URL is. However, the output is: "Error: 500 read timeout". When I checked the link externally, the data is being downloaded in under 5 seconds. I even changed the timeout to 1000s, but it still didn't work. How should I go about finding more information related to the response. The size of the file (around 200KB) is also not too great to warrant a read timeout. The server is also not a busy one, didn't give a problem whenever I checked the link on the browser. Thanks.
