Now database is growing very fast and server is dying.. now I want to enable the Remote BLOB Storage with Dynamic CRM 4.0. for that I tried to install RBS for testing but everywhere is configure with Sharepoint 2010 not with Dynamic Crm. Does anybody know how to install and configure with Dyanmic CRM 4.0? Does RBS with Standard Edition of SQL Server 2008?   • Why does Amazon release private keys instead of public keys?

    My brain is wrapped around the axle on public and private keys. When you create a cloud server (instance) on Amazon's EC2 service and then want to connect to it via SSH, Amazon requires you to download private a key to make the connection. Doesn't the idea behind public/private key suggest that Amazon should be require you to download a public one? Further, if I set up an SFTP server for a customer to use, should I be installing their key on the server or giving them a key from the server? In either case, should it be a public or private key?

  • Hybrid Exchange Online setup with on premise public folders, certificate issues?

    We have a Hybrid Exchange setup with Exchange Online (v15 tenant) and Exchange 2010 on premise. The hybrid configuration for the most part is working, what I am having an issue with is getting public folders to work for cloud users. I followed the official documentation here (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn249373(v=exchg.150).aspx) and it kind of works. When I am accessing Outlook on a public wifi I am able to bring up the cloud mailboxes and on premise public folders show up in Outlook. When I am accessing email via Outlook as a cloud user on the same LAN as the on premise exchange, the cloud user makes the outlook.com connection for live/ad/archive mailbox but fails to create a proxy connection for the on premise public folders. The error I get is a certificate mismatch, it seems that when a user on the LAN accesses Outlook/Exchange it is using a different certificate vs. when Outlook is launched on a WiFi network. When I look at the Outlook connection information, I see the connection to outlook.com for ad/live/archive mailbox but no entry for public folder connection. Our on premise Exchange is 2010 SP3 with latest CUs. The client is a domain joined laptop with Windows 7 and Office 2010 SP2, latest windows updates applied. Our infrastructure has a working ADFS 3 and DirSync setup for Office 365. My question then is, what do I need to do to make sure that the Cloud user launching Outlook on the LAN uses the proper certificate (the wildcard 3rd party cert.. vs. the self signed certificate which it looks like it may be using during the connection attempt).

  • How to sync (or at least view) public / team / shared calendar to Blackberry using BES?

    Trying to allow 3 people to view and ideally sync (create/edit) common (team) calendar events via Blackberry and hosted Exchange 2007 BES. My understanding is that BES does not support anything other than a users primary calendar to be synced wirelessly. From what I've researched the only supported workflow is for user to create event in public calendar on Outlook and then invites team members individually as optional attendees so event displays in their calendar (and on their Blackberry). I've seen some 3rd party utilities that claim to support syncing of public folders/calendars: Add2Outlook: http://www.diditbetter.com/add2outlook.aspx WICKSoft: http://www.wicksoft.com/contacts_calendars.htm (needs to be installed on local Exchange server) I've also been told I can sync public/other calendars using Desktop Manager, but I need to avoid any tethered sync with this environment. Am I missing an easier workflow here? There must be tens of thousands of BES users that require the ability to/view share a public, shared or team calendar on their Blackberry. How can I solve this?

  • Server Intermittently Inaccessible Externally (but Accessible Internally Continuously)

    I have a CRM on a server on a network. We have a static IP and another server outward facing. We use port-forwarding to map to the CRM, so that when you go to the IP or the FQDN, you get to the CRM: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx crm.example.com Internally, we can access the CRM by going to crm or crm.example.com Lately, I've been noticing that accessing the server from outside the network times out or gives 503, bad gateway. During that time, I can also SSH (different port, so this works) into the outward facing computer and access the server just fine. I have a robot monitoring the site and indeed via HTTP monitoring the site is going down periodically. I looked through the Apache server access and error logs and nothing stuck out at me so I'm a bit confused as to what could be going on. I also searched the access logs for 503 and found nothing. When I run tracert from outside the network, it appears the packets basically make it through the wider area servers (Comcast city and county servers) and end up dropping at the CRM server's front step. I'm tempted to replace the server because it is older and underpowered but it would be nice to know what is going on. Any ideas what to do next?

    I'm just learning about public key cryptography and I want to make a public key certificate for my web server so that I can use https. My server is hosted on some random free webhost that is practically impossible for anything...and so my question is this: Is there any harm in making my private key, public key, and public key certificate on my computer using openssl and then transferring it to the server? Thanks in advance. Also if there's anything else I'm missing, any help would be appreciated.

    I'm using microsoft dynamics crm 4 I inserted the following line to restrict a customer lookup to contacts only (no accounts): crmForm.all.customerid.setAttribute("lookuptypes", "2"); It does restrict the lookup to contacts only, but there is a strange bug: When i select any customer, the icon next to him becomes the account icon, not the contact icon (folder instead of card) Any solutions to this ?

    I'm setting up a proper dev environment for my client (dev/qa/stage/prod). I'd like to find a way to export reports so we can cleanly move from one environment to the next. Custom RDL type reports are easy (just import the RDL in the next environment), but the reports that are built inside CRM don't appear to export anywhere. Am I missing something? Is this another feature that was missed? Apperciate the help.

    I've been reading some papers from the early 90s about a US Department of Defense software reuse initiative called the Defense Software Reuse System (DSRS). The most recent mention of it I could find was in a paper from 2000 - A Survey of Software Reuse Repositories Defense Software Repository System (DSRS) The DSRS is an automated repository for storing and retrieving Reusable Software Assets (RSAs) [14]. The DSRS software now manages inventories of reusable assets at seven software reuse support centers (SRSCs). The DSRS serves as a central collection point for quality RSAs, and facilitates software reuse by offering developers the opportunity to match their requirements with existing software products. DSRS accounts are available for Government employees and contractor personnel currently supporting Government projects... ...The DoD software community is trying to change its software engineering model from its current software cycle to a process-driven, domain-specific, architecture-based, repository-assisted way of constructing software [15]. In this changing environment, the DSRS has the highest potential to become the DoD standard reuse repository because it is the only existing deployed, operational repository with multiple interoperable locations across DoD. Seven DSRS locations support nearly 1,000 users and list nearly 9,000 reusable assets. The DISA DSRS alone lists 3,880 reusable assets and has 400 user accounts... The far-term strategy of the DSRS is to support a virtual repository. These interconnected repositories will provide the ability to locate and share reusable components across domains and among the services. An effective and evolving DSRS is a central requirement to the success of the DoD software reuse initiative. Evolving DoD repository requirements demand that DISA continue to have an operational DSRS site to support testing in an actual repository operation and to support DoD users.
