  • Ajax get throws a syntax error when ip is given instead of localhost

    Hi , i am working on cakephp. I have developed an application where i have used localhost in all ajax post and get.. like var ht = $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "http://localhost/FormBuilder/index.php/forms/getInvitees/<?php echo $emailid;?>", async: false }).responseText; var myObject = eval('(' + ht + ')'); this thing works only when i put localhost . But when i change that to my Ip like http://111.11.11.11/FormBuilder/index.php/forms/getInvitees/", then i am getting a syntax error () in the line var myObject = eval('(' + ht + ')'); WHy it happens ?? Please give valuable suggestions in solving this.. Thank you

    Hello, I want to hide and show some form in my page. For each form theres a link, and i want that, when i click on this link, it hide and show the nearest form of the link. My code looks like this : $$('.flagLink').each(function(s){ $(s).observe('click', function(event) { // here i want to hide and show the nearest form }); }); I've tried this : $$('.flagLink').each(function(s){ $(s).observe('click', function(event) { $(s).next('form').toggle(); }); }); It works but, i would like to be more precise like : $$('.flagLink').each(function(s){ $(s).observe('click', function(event) { $(s).next('.flagForm').toggle(); }); }); but the .flagForm selector doesnt work.

  • How to replace an object in an NSMutableArray at a given index with a new object

    Hi guys. I have an NSMutableArray object(retained, synthesized as all) that is initiated just fine and I can easily add objects to it using the 'addObject:' method. But if I want to replace an object at a certain index with a new one in that NSMutableArray, it doesn't work.   • Add event to all elements except the given with jQuery

    Hey everyone I created a date picker that uses ajax to populate an element with an id of calendarContainer. When the user clicks on a button to bring the calendar up, I want the user to be able to click anywhere else on the screen besides the calendar and have it hide. The calendarContainer is at the root of the dom and I have tried everything I can think of to get this working. I have gotten the calendar to go away when it is not clicked on. However, when I click on the calendar it is also going away. I only want the calendar to go away when it is not clicked on.     I have a situation for which I am looking for a more elegant solution. Consider the below cases "BKP","bkp","book-to-price" (will represent) BOOK-TO-PRICE "aop","aspect oriented program" (will represent) ASPECT-ORIENTED-PROGRAM i.e. if the user enter BKP or bkp or book-to-price , the program should treat that as BOOK-TO-PRICE. The same holds good for the second example(ASPECT-ORIENTED-PROGRAM). I have the below solution: Solution: if (str == "BKP" || str == "bkp" || str == "book-to-price" ) return "BOOK-TO-PRICE". But I think that there can be many other better solutions . Could you people please give some suggestion.(with an example will be better) I am using C#3.0 and dotnet framework 3.5

    Hello stackoverflow, I'm currently in Python land. This is what I need to do. I have already looked into the itertools library but it seems to only do permutations. I want to take an input list, like ['yahoo', 'wikipedia', 'freebase'] and generate every unique combination of one item with zero or more other items... ['yahoo', 'wikipedia', 'freebase'] ['yahoo', 'wikipedia'] ['yahoo', 'freebase'] ['wikipedia', 'freebase'] ['yahoo'] ['freebase'] ['wikipedia'] A few notes. Order does not matter and I am trying to design the method to take a list of any size. Also, is there a name for this kind of combination? Thanks for your help!

    I fount this answer, but wanted to expand on the question and couldn't find any solutions here on stack or through searching google. Substring domainname from URL SQL Basically the link above solves my problem with a simple URL like parsing "www.google.com" with the result of google. What I am looking for to expand on that is the solution from the link above doesn't help with url's like 'www.maps.google.com' that just returns maps. WHat I would like is to have it return 'google' from the url 'www.maps.google.com' or return 'example' from 'www.test.example.com'. If anyone has a solution to this, I would greatly appreciate it. Update: To be more specific I will also need parsing on second level domains etc. 'www.maps.google.com.au' to return 'google' Here is my Sql function. I now am trying to tackle the search function. And I've noticed that sometimes I see put 102 times with any take's between them. Why does it happen?   • Detecting support for a given JavaScript event?

    I'm interested in using the JavaScript hashchange event to monitor changes in the URL's fragment identifier. I'm aware of Really Simple History and the jQuery plugins for this. However, I've reached the conclusion that in my particular project it's not really worth the added overhead of another JS file. What I would like to do instead is take the "progressive enhancement" route. That is, I want to test whether the hashchange event is supported by the visitor's browser, and write my code to use it if it's available, as an enhancement rather than a core feature. IE 8, Firefox 3.6, and Chrome 4.1.249 support it, and that accounts for about 20% of my site's traffic. So, uh ... is there some way to test whether a browser supports a particular event? Thanks.

    I have an Nx5 array containing N vectors of form 'id', 'x', 'y', 'z' and 'energy'. I need to remove duplicate points (i.e. where x, y, z all match) within a tolerance of say 0.1. Ideally I could create a function where I pass in the array, columns that need to match and a tolerance on the match. Following this thread on Scipy-user, I can remove duplicates based on a full array using record arrays, but I need to just match part of an array. Moreover this will not match within a certain tolerance. I could laboriously iterate through with a for loop in Python but is there a better Numponic way?

  • Determining where to animate the map given a list of GeoPoints

    My android application loads some markers on an overlay onto a MapView. The markers are placed based on a dynamic list of GeoPoints. I want to move the map center and zoom into the area with most items. Naively, I can calculate the superposition of all the points, but I would like to remove the points that are very far from the mass of points from the calculation. Is there a known way to calculate this ? (e.g. probability, statistics .. ?)
