  • Is there a fix for Windows 8 Release Preview freezing intermittently on Macbook Air

    I've successfully installed Windows 8 x64 Release Preview on a 2010 Macbook Air (4GB/256GB). I was also able to install the Apple Boot Camp tools without incident, but the computer will intermittently freeze up completely (need a forced shutdown) for no apparent reason. As such, there is no logging information to help me troubleshoot this any further. I have no other software installed at this point; only the latest updates from Microsoft. Any ideas?

    I am trying to make a script to backup each of my plesk hosts to individual files, I am having two problems: I would like to remove the folder structure from archive, the tar is 3 folders deep I am getting this error: tar: Removing leading `/' from member names I need my archive to ignore folders named "catch" because I don't need them in my archive.   • Fix mail that has been put in deferred folder

    So we have a little more than usual deferred mail on our Postfix server, so I started to look through the messages to make sure we weren't hacked and sending out spam. Everything is fine and it turns out that a bot had filled out our Request Info form multiple times with bad info. However, I did find one that was a legitimate request for more information about our company and I noticed that it isn't sending because they fat-fingered the address with gmal.com. Is there a way I can correct that and have Postfix send it out? This is on a CentOS server.

  • How to fix a Corrupted USB

    My USB stick has suddenly stopped working. It's a Busbi 4GB. My USB used to be G:/ but as soon as I plugged it in, I used to get a pop up box showing that it was plugged in. Now, when I plug this in, it shows as I:/ and no pop up box appears. It shows in my computer as I:/ and when I click to open it says I:/ is not accessible the disk structure is corrupted and unreadable. I have tried to change the file name back to G:/ but nothing happened (this was under disk management). On disk management, it shows Volume as I:/ Layout simple Type Basic File system RAW status Healthy (Active,Primary partition) Capacity 3.42GB. I've tried right clicking properties then the tab tools and click error checking (this option will check the volume for errors). When I click "check now" it comes up with the disk check could not be performed because Windows cannot access the disk.

  • gnat programming studio auto fix issues

    hi, I'm using GNAT Programming Studio to update some ada files. I have a style check, which for these old files produces literally thousands of warnings. Helpfully GPS has a little auto fix 'wrench' icon in the locations view, that's great but I don't want to go through and click the wrench ten thousand times. Is there a way to have it correct these errors automatically without me having to click each wrench? They are all right so I want to be changed automatically. I saw some documentation saying you could do it: http://www.adacore.com/wp-content/files/auto_update/gps-docs/Code-Fixing.html But I don't get the auto fix option when I right click. Maybe you need the pro version? I've tried everything I can think of. This would save hours of work, so it's really appreciated if someone could help on this. Thanks!

    So I am using this to fix PNG transparency on background images in IE6 ul li a { background-image: url('/NewSite/Content/Images/Sprite.png'); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: 0 -48px; background-image: none; filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src=/NewSite/Content/Images/Sprite.png, sizingMethod='crop'); } This works great, however I have run into a problem when trying to implement this with a sprite. The fix ignores the positioning and renders as if the position was top right. Is there a way to force background position or a better way to do this. I would prefer to not use JavaScript or change to gifs. Any help is appreciated!

  • Quicklfix related question(FIX::Application)

    I am trying to use FIX::Application along with SessionSettings. The Fix server I am trying to connect to does not see any incoming connection. From my side I see a Logon Message being formulated in toAdmin() callback(which I print out and add certain fields to. The Question is 1. Do I need to call some form of sendTarget in toAdmin?(I tried that but get a Session not found error) 2. Is there anyway I can increase logging(start logging whats going on under the hood). Thanks

  • GPS on emulator doesn't get the geo fix - Android

    Hi I'm developing an application for the android OS, I'm just starting, but I can't get the GPS on the emulator to work. I've read on the internet that you need to send a geo fix to the emulator in order to enable the gps locationProvider.     There is a common practice in TDD to write a test before fix to avoid regression and simplify fixing. I just wonder what if the test and fix will be written by different people, total spent time will be almost the same but as now three people will think about possible failures (+tester) we increase probability that fix will cover all possible failure scenarios. Does this practice make sense or it will just waste additional time needed for one more person to familiarize with bug?

    I am trying to match a string to a regex pattern, but have some problems. My string could have 3 forms: [dbo].[Start] dbo.Start Start This is my regex: "^((\[)?dbo(\])?)?(\.)?(\[)?Start(\])?$" All 3 forms returns success but there are some more options such as: [dboStart or dbo[Start I know that this is because it is optional, but how could I make dependencies when making optional, so that if one optional has value then the second optional must have a value too.     I want my Makefile to be as simple as possible and still function. This is what it looks like. load: load.cpp g++ load.cpp -g -o load list: list.cpp g++ list.cpp -g -o list It worked fine when there was only one entry. But when I added the second entry, it doesn't check to see if it's updated and needs to be recompiled, unless I specifically supply the name. How do I fix this?

    hi, I have an executable built in windows(exe).I want to pass that exe to an out file built by Cygwin(DOS version). It is going well upto half the way. After that it is showing the following error,which is related to Cygwin dll files(ACL check) . Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x6108829e in cygwin1!aclcheck () from /usr/bin/cygwin1.dll (gdb) Can anybody fix this..? Regards, Renjith G
