  • Image upload - Return URL

    - by Qmal
Hello I build a script that does image uploading and resizing and it all works well, but how can I get the URL from image afterwards? I don't want my Image Source in HTML be like "../img/cat/1.png/" I want it to be like "http://MyIP/img/cat/1.png" I understand that I can just make a variable like $myHost = "http://blabla.com"; and add strip the ".." at the beginning but then it's not so good if I want to use it on other site because I need to replace this all the time. Maybe there is any other way?

  • Django CMS - not able to upload images through cmsplugin_filer_image

i have a problem with a local installation on django cms 2.3.3: i've installed it trough pip, in a separated virtualenv. next i followed the tutorial for settings.py configuration, i started the server. Hi, I have a website and my users can browse the website for general information. If user wants to post any data, they need to register in the website. At the time of registration (in registration form) they can upload their photo. Once registration process is completed they can even modify the previously uploaded photo. My users are facing problem while they uploading their photo at the time of registration. I have given write permission to uploading files folder. But it is giving "Access denied" error. There should be a provision to upload files with or without logging into application. How can we achieve this?

  • ajax upload cannot process JSON response or gives download popup

    - by Jorre
I'm using the AJAX plugin from Andris Valums: AJAX Upload ( http://valums.com/ajax-upload/ ) Copyright (c) Andris Valums It works great, except for the fact that I cannot send proper JSON as a response. I'm setting the headers to 'Content-Type', 'application/json' before sending the JSON-encoded response, and in the plugin I'm saying that I'm expecting JSON: responseType: "json", This gives me a download popup asking to download the JSON/REPONSE file. The strange thing is, when I don't ass the correct "Content-Type" to my response, it works. Of course I want to pass the correct response type, because all my jQuery 1.4 calls are depending on correct JSON. Does anyone else have had this same problem or is there anyone out there willing to try this out ? I'd love to use this plugin but only when I can return proper JSON with the correct content-type Thanks for all your help!

  • Large file upload into WSS v3

    - by Rubens Farias
I'd built an WSSv3 application which upload files in small chunks; when every data piece arrives, I temporarly keep it into a SQL 2005 image data type field for performance reasons**. Problem come when upload ends; I need to move data from my SQL Server to Sharepoint Document Library through WSSv3 object model. Right now, I can think two approaches: SPFileCollection.Add(string, (byte[])reader[0]); // OutOfMemoryException and SPFile file = folder.Files.Add("filename", new byte[]{ }); using(Stream stream = file.OpenBinaryStream()) { // ... init vars and stuff ... while ((bytes = reader.GetBytes(0, offset, buffer, 0, BUFFER_SIZE)) 0) { stream.Write(buffer, 0, (int)bytes); // Timeout issues } file.SaveBinary(stream); } Are there any other way to complete successfully this task? ** Performance reasons: if you tries to write every chunk directly at Sharepoint, you'll note a performance degradation as file grows up (100Mb).

  • Upload file via HTTP from VBA (WinHTTP)

    - by chiccodoro
Hi all, I'm trying to HTTP upload a binary file programmatically from within VBA. I intend to put an ASPX page on the server. I know there are lots of nice ways to do that (e.g. use web service instead of aspx), but my constraint is that it must run in VBA (in an excel file), and that I cannot install any additional components on the client. So I guess I'll use WinHTTP, and I've found several examples to post form data, but not to post a binary file. I probably need to base64 the file contents? If so, please let me know. If I can make WinHTTP do file encoding for me, please let me know. If there is a much better way to reach my goal (Upload file from within VBA, server needn't necessarily be ASPX, could be a ASP.NET-Web service as well), please let me know... Thx, chiccodoro

  • Upload Image with Django Model Form

    - by jmitchel3
I'm having difficulty uploading the following model with model form. I can upload fine in the admin but that's not all that useful for a project that limits admin access. #Models.py class Profile(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=128) user = models.ForeignKey(User) profile_pic = models.ImageField(upload_to='img/profile/%Y/%m/') #views.py def create_profile(request): try: profile = Profile.objects.get(user=request.user) except: pass form = CreateProfileForm(request.POST or None, instance=profile) if form.is_valid(): new = form.save(commit=False) new.user = request.user new.save() return render_to_response('profile.html', locals(), context_instance=RequestContext(request)) #Profile.html <form enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post">{% csrf_token %} <tr><td>{{ form.as_p }}</td></tr> <tr><td><button type="submit" class="btn">Submit</button></td></tr> </form> Note: All the other data in the form saves perfectly well, the photo does not upload at all. Thank you for your help!

  • Upload 1GB files using chunking in PHP

    - by rjha94
I have a web application that accepts file uploads of up to 4 MB. The server side script is PHP and web server is NGINX. Many users have requested to increase this limit drastically to allow upload of video etc. However there seems to be no easy solution for this problem with PHP. First, on the client side I am looking for something that would allow me to chunk files during transfer. SWFUpload does not seem to do that. I guess I can stream uploads using Java FX (http://blogs.sun.com/rakeshmenonp/entry/javafx_upload_file ) but I can not find any equivalent of request.getInputStream in PHP. Increasing browser client_post limits or php.ini upload or max_execution times is not really a solution for really large files (~ 1GB) because maybe the browser will time out and think of all those blobs stored in memory. is there any way to solve this problem using PHP on server side? I would appreciate your replies.

  • HTML Form Upload PDF with other form contents using PHP

    - by Sev
    I have a HTML form with fields such as name, address, notes, etc. I also have a field to upload a PDF. The uploaded PDF get's stored on the file system. How can I accomplish this if possibly the PDF files are larger than 2 MBs? Also, for some reason, the uploading of the PDF (< 2 MBs) works fine in Chrome, but not in IE. In IE, the upload doesn't even begin, but in Chrome, it completes fine. Form header looks like: method='post' ENCTYPE='multipart/formdata' edit: the ini setting didn't help The HTML <input type='text' name='user' /> <input type='file' name='userfile' /> The basic PHP ( I do some preg matching above, that I haven't included) $uploaddir = 'uploads/'; $uploadfile = $uploaddir . basename($_FILES['userfile']['name']); if (move_uploaded_file($_FILES['userfile']['tmp_name'], $uploadfile)) { echo "File is valid, and was successfully uploaded.\n"; } else { echo "File uploading failed.\n"; }

  • Png image processing in .NET.

    - by Oybek
I have the following task. Take a base image and overlay on it another one. The base image is 8b png as well as overlay. Here are the base (left) and overlay (right) images. Here is a result and how it must look. The picture in the left is a screenshot when one picture is on top of another (html and positioning) and the second is the result of programmatic merging. As you can see in the screenshot the borders of the text is darker. Also here are the sizes of the images Base image 14.9 KB Overlay image 6.87 KB Result image 34.8 KB The size of the resulting image is also huge Here is my code that I use to merge those pictures /*...*/ public Stream Concatinate(Stream baseStream, params Stream[] overlayStreams) { var @base = Image.FromStream(baseStream); var canvas = new Bitmap(@base.Width, @base.Height); using (var g = canvas.ToGraphics()) { g.DrawImage(@base, 0, 0); foreach (var item in overlayStreams) { using (var overlayImage = Image.FromStream(item)) { try { Overlay(@base, overlayImage, g); } catch { } } } } var ms = new MemoryStream(); canvas.Save(ms, ImageFormat.Png); canvas.Dispose(); @base.Dispose(); return ms; } /*...*/ /*Tograpics extension*/ public static Graphics ToGraphics(this Image image, CompositingQuality compositingQuality = CompositingQuality.HighQuality, SmoothingMode smoothingMode = SmoothingMode.HighQuality, InterpolationMode interpolationMode = InterpolationMode.HighQualityBicubic) { var g = Graphics.FromImage(image); g.CompositingQuality = compositingQuality; g.SmoothingMode = smoothingMode; g.InterpolationMode = interpolationMode; return g; } My questions are What should I do in order to merge images to achieve the result as in the screenshot? How can I lower the size of the result image? Is the System.Drawing a suitable tool for this or is there any better tool for working with png for .NET?

  • Slow PDF upload for Confluence

    - by JPJedi
We run a site that we host that uses the Atlassian Confluence. The site works great and is being used now. But there is one thing. It seems like when pdf and gifs are uploaded the upload speed will be slower. But the smaller files will upload fine. Has anyone else having an issue with uploading pdf's into confluence? I am trying to use fiddler to track the speed but am not having luck with that. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

  • Indexing community images for google image search

    - by Vittorio Vittori
Hi, I'm trying to understand how can I do to let my site be reachable from google image search spiders. I like how last.fm solution, and I thought to use a technique like his staff do to let google find artists images on their pages. When I'm looking for an artist and I search it on google image search, as often as not I find an image from last.fm artists page, I make an example: If I search the band Pure Reason Revolution It brings me here, the artist's image page http://www.last.fm/music/Pure+Reason+Revolution/+images/4284073 Now if I take a look to the image file, i can see it's named: http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/500/4284073/Pure+Reason+Revolution+4.jpg so if I try to undertand how the service works I can try to say: http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/ the server who serve the images 500/ the selected size for the image 4284073/ the image id for database Pure+Reason+Revolution+4.jpg the image name I thought it's difficult to think the real filename for the image is Pure+Reason+Revolution+4.jpg for image overwrite problems when an user upload it, in fact if I digit: http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/500/4284073.jpg I probably find the real image location and filename With this tecnique the image is highly reachable from search engines and easily archived. My question is, does exist some guide or tutorial to approach on this kind of tecniques, or something similar?

  • Automatic upload of 10KB file to web service?

    - by Joseph Turian
I am writing an application, similar to Seti@Home, that allows users to run processing on their home machine, and then upload the result to the central server. However, the final result is maybe a 10K binary file. (Processing to achieve this output is several hours.) What is the simplest reliable automatic method to upload this file to the central server? What do I need to do server-side to prevent blocking? Perhaps having the client send mail is simple and reliable? NB the client program is currently written in Python, if that matters.

  • image transistion

    - by Jeff Main
Hi all. I've gotten stuck again. I've got an image (album cover) that I'll be changing in code behind, and wish to basicaly do the following. When a new album cover image is determine and aquired, I want the current image in the image control to fade out, get updated with the new cover, and then fade back in. I'm not seeing very many good examples on how to accomplish this in code behind. The following was my latest failed attempt... if (currentTrack != previousTrack) { BitmapImage image = new BitmapImage(); image.BeginInit(); image.CacheOption = BitmapCacheOption.OnLoad; image.CreateOptions = BitmapCreateOptions.IgnoreImageCache; image.UriSource = new Uri(Address, UriKind.Absolute); image.EndInit(); Storyboard MyStoryboard = new Storyboard(); DoubleAnimation FadeOut = new DoubleAnimation(); FadeOut.From = 1.0; FadeOut.To = 0.0; FadeOut.Duration = new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(.5)); MyStoryboard.Children.Add(FadeOut); Storyboard.SetTargetName(FadeOut, CoverArt.Name); Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(FadeOut, new PropertyPath(Rectangle.OpacityProperty)); CoverArt.Source = image; DoubleAnimation Fadein = new DoubleAnimation(); Fadein. From = 0.0; Fadein. To = 1.0; Fadein.Duration = new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(.5)); MyStoryboard.Children.Add(Fadein); Storyboard.SetTargetName(Fadein, CoverArt.Name); Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(Fadein, new PropertyPath(Rectangle.OpacityProperty)); MyStoryboard.Begin(this); } I'd prefer to do this in code behind simply because that is where I'm aquiring the image. Otherwise, I'm not sure how I'd trigger it. An example would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

  • Upload Image to Facebook Objective-C

    - by boopyman
I'm currently trying to upload an image from my Mac application to Facebook. To do this, I'd like for the user to simply input his username and password, and to click a button. The only issue is, Facebook doesn't actually have an API for the Mac, it only has one for iOS. This shouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that to login, you must use a web view, something I'm not to keen on doing, since I'd like the interface to be two simple text fields. I've also looked into PHFacebook, a class I found online, but it also seems to utilize an NSWebView. I'm wondering if there's a security issue when you use text fields; indeed, it's slightly strange no available API offers this function ! So, to conclude, is it possible, or is there an API, that lets you upload an image and lets you provide the user's credentials through simple NSStrings?
