  • JavaOne+Develop vs Oracle OpenWorld

    - by Rick Ramsey
http://cheapoair.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/san-francisco-napa-and-sonoma-a-first-visit/ This year, Oracle OpenWorld will be held Sep 19-23rd in San Francisco. Also this year, JavaOne+Develop will be held Sep 19-23d in San Francisco. How can that be? Simple. Oracle has acquired the city of San Francisco. OK, not all of it. But an awful lot of it. And it didn't actually acquire the city of San Francisco. It just sorta borrowed it. So, Oracle OpenWorld The world's most important developer conferences are creating the world's coolest neighborhood The Zone--San Francisco's Hotel Nikko, Hilton San Francisco, and Parc 55 hotels and the surrounding area--will be dedicated to developers during the week of JavaOne + Develop. Unparalleled education and practical hands-on sessions, engaging activities, exceptional entertainment, and food and drink in the Zone will be exclusively geared toward the developer community converging at JavaOne + Develop. Network, share information, and learn from leading experts in the Java, PL/SQL, rich internet application development, SOA communities, and more. Forget the business casual dress code and golf simulation: The Zone does things the developers' way. See for yourself, September 19 - 23, 2010. Participate in dozens of hands-on labs, including Oracle Database, Oracle Application Express, Oracle WebLogic Server, Java, SOA, .NET, Oracle JDeveloper, Eclipse, Oracle Solaris Studio, and application grid technologies The Develop 2010 call for papers is now closed. Review and selection is under way, and we expect to notify presenters by mid-May, 2010. If the submissions we've received are any indication, you can look forward to an outstanding developer conference this year in San Francisco. Thanks to all of you who contributed papers by the March 21 deadline.

  • Android: manifest targetSdkVersion change resulted in: icon not visible, widget no longer works, and

    - by Casey
I recently upgraded my Android app to support multiple resolutions. Previously, my Android.manifest file had a line: To support multiple density and resolution devices, I changed this to: <supports-screens android:smallScreens="false" android:normalScreens="true" android:largeScreens="true" android:anyDensity="true" /> <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="4" /> I then added a couple of new directories, like drawable-hdpi-v4 and drawable-long-hdpi-v4 that includes the high-res versions of the graphics. That's about it. Ever since releasing this update, there have been a decent number of users complaining about various problems: - the app icon doesn't appear (I did not create a high res version of the icon) - the home screen widget no longer works, even if they delete and re-add it (this code did not change with the update). I've had a user send me their error log, which shows: 03-19 20:59:41.617 W/ActivityManager( 1854): Unable to launch app com.alt12.babybump/10078 for broadcast Intent { action=android.appwidget.action.APPWIDGET_UPDATE flags=0x4 comp={com.alt12.babybump/com.alt12.babybump.WidgetGirl} (has extras) }: process is bad There is one questionable section in my existing widget code that may be relevant: @Override public void onReceive(Context context, Intent intent) { // v1.5 fix that doesn't call onDelete Action final String action = intent.getAction(); if (AppWidgetManager.ACTION_APPWIDGET_DELETED.equals(action)) { final int appWidgetId = intent.getExtras().getInt( AppWidgetManager.EXTRA_APPWIDGET_ID, AppWidgetManager.INVALID_APPWIDGET_ID); if (appWidgetId != AppWidgetManager.INVALID_APPWIDGET_ID) { this.onDeleted(context, new int[] { appWidgetId }); } } else { super.onReceive(context, intent); } } And perhaps most troublesome: the sqlite database is no longer accessible/writeable for some users so their data is no longer available. I did add the WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission to the manifest. This is only happening to certain users and it tends to be HTC Eris users. In that error log I see things such as: 03-19 16:00:56.173 E/FlurryAgent( 4791): java.io.FileNotFoundException: /data/data/com.alt12.babybump/files/.flurryagent.-2333f5cb 03-19 16:00:56.173 E/FlurryAgent( 4791): at org.apache.harmony.luni.platform.OSFileSystem.open(OSFileSystem.java:231) 03-19 16:01:09.393 E/Database( 4791): sqlite3_open_v2("/data/data/com.alt12.babybump/databases/uitematmamad.db", &handle, 6, NULL) failed 03-19 16:01:09.393 W/System.err( 4791): android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: unable to open database file It's as if the update has caused a new process and it can't access the old process's data, or something. Any help appreciated!

  • Adb shell commands to change settings or perform tasks on a phone

    - by Noah
How do I use adb to perform some automated tasks on my android phone? I need to find commands that I can issue from the command line (ideally, using a .bat file) that will be capable of more than simply opening an application or sending an input keyevent (button press). For instance, I want to toggle Airplane Mode on or off from the command line. Currently, the best I can do is launch the Wireless & network settings menu and then use input keyevents to click Airplane mode: adb shell am start -a android.settings.AIRPLANE_MODE_SETTINGS adb shell input keyevent 19 & adb shell input keyevent 23 There are quite a few drawbacks to this method, primarily that the screen has to be on and unlocked. Also, the tasks I want to do are much broader than this simple example. Other things I'd like to do if possible: 1.Play an mp3 and set it on repeat. Current solution: adb shell am start -n com.android.music/.MusicBrowserActivity adb shell input keyevent 84 adb shell input keyevent 56 & adb shell input keyevent 66 & adb shell input keyevent 67 & adb shell input keyevent 19 adb shell input keyevent 23 & adb shell input keyevent 21 adb shell input keyevent 19 & adb shell input keyevent 19 & adb shell input keyevent 19 & adb shell input keyevent 22 & adb shell input keyevent 22 & adb shell input keyevent 23 & adb shell input keyevent 23 2.Play a video. (current solution: open MediaGallery, send keyevents, similar to above) 3.Change the volume (current solution: send volume-up button keyevents) 4.Change the display timeout (current solution: open sound & display settings, send keyevents) As before, these all require the screen to be on and unlocked. The other major drawback to using keyevents is if the UI of the application is changed, the keyevents will no longer perform the correct function. If there is no easier way to do these sort of things, is there at least a way to turn the screen on (using adb) when it is off? Or to have keyevents still work when the screen is off? I'm not very familiar with java. That said, I've seen code like the following (source: http://yenliangl.blogspot.com/2009/12/toggle-airplane-mode.html) to change a setting on the phone: Settings.System.putInt(Settings.System.AIRPLANE_MODE_ON, 1 /* 1 or 0 */); How do I translate something like the above into an adb shell command? Is this possible, or the wrong way to think about it? I can provide more details if needed. Thanks!

  • How to implement a SIMPLE "You typed ACB, did you mean ABC?"

    - by marcgg
I know this is not a straight up question, so if you need me to provide more information about the scope of it, let me know. There are a bunch of questions that address almost the same issue (they are linked here), but never the exact same one with the same kind of scope and objective - at least as far as I know. Context: I have a MP3 file with ID3 tags for artist name and song title. I have two tables Artists and Songs The ID3 tags might be slightly off (e.g. Mikaell Jacksonne) I'm using ASP.NET + C# and a MSSQL database I need to synchronize the MP3s with the database. Meaning: The user launches a script The script browses through all the MP3s The script says "Is 'Mikaell Jacksonne' 'Michael Jackson' YES/NO" The user pick and we start over Examples of what the system could find: In the database... SONGS = {"This is a great song title", "This is a song title"} ARTISTS = {"Michael Jackson"} Outputs... "This is a grt song title" did you mean "This is a great song title" ? "This is song title" did you mean "This is a song title" ? "This si a song title" did you mean "This is a song title" ? "This si song a title" did you mean "This is a song title" ? "Jackson, Michael" did you mean "Michael Jackson" ? "JacksonMichael" did you mean "Michael Jackson" ? "Michael Jacksno" did you mean "Michael Jackson" ? etc. I read some documentation from this /how-do-you-implement-a-did-you-mean and this is not exactly what I need since I don't want to check an entire dictionary. I also can't really use a web service since it's depending a lot on what I already have in my database. If possible I'd also like to avoid dealing with distances and other complicated things. I could use the google api (or something similar) to do this, meaning that the script will try spell checking and test it with the database, but I feel there could be a better solution since my database might end up being really specific with weird songs and artists, making spell checking useless. I could also try something like what has been explained on this post, using Soundex for c#. Using a regular spell checker won't work because I won't be using words but names and 'titles'. So my question is: is there a relatively simple way of doing this, and if so, what is it? Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have searched on here and could not find something specific to my structure. Thanks alot.

  • xen 4.1 host priodically dropping network packets of domU

    - by Dyutiman Chakraborty
I have xen 4.1 Host running on a ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server with ip 153.x.x.54. I have setup 2 VMs on it, namely, "dev.mydomain.com" and "web.mydomain.com" with ips 195.X.X.2 and 195.x.x.3 respectively. For network the VMs connect through xendbr0 (xen-bridge), and can accces the network properly. I can also login to the VMs with ssh with no issue. However when I ping any of the VMs, there is a high amount of periodic packet drop. If I the ping the xen host (dom0) there is no packet drop. Following is a output of "tcpdump | grep ICMP" on dOM0 while I was pinging one of the domU tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on eth0, link-type • Sometimes this script fails to update the iptables

    - by AlJo
    It does not happen often, but sometimes after running the below script, checking the iptables with service iptables status shows that they weren't updated and the script doesn't output any error. The iptables is structured as look-up tree (long repeated sections snipped): #!/bin/sh iptables -t nat -F iptables -t nat -X iptables -F iptables -X iptables -A INPUT -m state --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -s 93.225.0.0/16 -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -s 15.102.0.0/16 -j ACCEPT iptables -A INPUT -s 47.122.0.0/16 -j ACCEPT iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-0 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-1 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-2 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-3 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-4 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-5 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-6 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-7 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-8 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-9 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-10 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-11 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-12 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-13 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-14 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-15 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-16 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-17 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-18 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-19 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-20 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-21 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-22 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-23 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-24 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-25 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-26 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-27 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-28 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-29 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-30 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-31 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-32 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-33 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-34 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-35 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-36 iptables -N MY_CHAIN_L1-37 iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 1.54.96.0-5.133.179.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-0 iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 5.133.180.0-24.113.159.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-1 [snip] iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 195.13.45.0-198.11.255.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-29 iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 198.12.64.0-199.19.215.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-30 iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 199.21.96.0-200.31.3.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-31 iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 200.31.11.0-202.171.255.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-32 iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 203.130.134.192-206.212.255.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-33 iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 206.214.64.0-211.155.95.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-34 iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 212.19.128.0-216.176.191.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-35 iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 216.189.0.0-218.23.255.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-36 iptables -A INPUT -m iprange --src-range 218.30.96.0-223.255.231.255 -j MY_CHAIN_L1-37 iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-0 -s 1.54.96.0/20 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-0 -s 1.208.0.0/12 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-0 -s 1.224.0.0/11 -j DROP [snip] iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-0 -s 5.133.178.0/23 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-0 -j ACCEPT iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-1 -s 5.133.180.0/22 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-1 -s 5.135.0.0/16 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-1 -s 5.153.232.0/21 -j DROP [snip] iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-1 -s 24.113.128.0/19 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-1 -j ACCEPT . . . iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.13.45.0/24 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.20.224.0/19 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.31.216.0/26 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.58.245.0/24 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.60.164.0/23 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.60.240.0/22 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.62.10.0/23 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.110.30.0/23 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.154.0.0/16 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.190.13.0/24 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-29 -s 195.211.152.0/22 -j DROP iptables -A MY_CHAIN_L1-1 -j ACCEPT [snip more of same to end of script] Can anyone see why this script would silently fail to update the iptables sometimes? • Common business drivers that lead to creating and sustaining a project

Common business drivers that lead to creating and sustaining a project include and are not limited to: cost reduction, increased return on investment (ROI), reduced time to market, increased speed and efficiency, increased security, and increased interoperability. These drivers primarily focus on streamlining and reducing cost to make a company more profitable with less overhead. According to Answers.com cost reduction is defined as reducing costs to improve profitability, and may be implemented when a company is having financial problems or prevent problems. ROI is defined as the amount of value received relative to the amount of money invested according to PayperclickList.com.  With the ever increasing demands on businesses to compete in today’s market, companies are constantly striving to reduce the time it takes for a concept to become a product and be sold within the global marketplace. In business, some people say time is money, so if a project can reduce the time a business process takes it in fact saves the company which is always good for the bottom line. The Social Security Administration states that data security is the protection of data from accidental or intentional but unauthorized modification, destruction. Interoperability is the capability of a system or subsystem to interact with other systems or subsystems. In my personal opinion, these drivers would not really differ for a profit-based organization, compared to a non-profit organization. Both corporate entities strive to reduce cost, and strive to keep operation budgets low. However, the reasoning behind why they want to achieve this does contrast. Typically profit based organizations strive to increase revenue and market share so that the business can grow. Alternatively, not-for-profit businesses are more interested in increasing their reach within communities whether it is to increase annual donations or invest in the lives of others. Success or failure of a project can be determined by one or more of these drivers based on the scope of a project and the company’s priorities associated with each of the drivers. In addition, if a project attempts to incorporate multiple drivers and is only partially successful, then the project might still be considered to be a success due to how close the project was to meeting each of the priorities. Continuous evaluation of the project could lead to a decision to abort a project, because it is expected to fail before completion. Evaluations should be executed after the completion of every software development process stage. Pfleeger notes that software development process stages include: Requirements Analysis and Definition System Design Program Design Program Implementation Unit Testing Integration Testing System Delivery Maintenance Each evaluation at every state should consider all the business drivers included in the scope of a project for how close they are expected to meet expectations. In addition, minimum requirements of acceptance should also be included with the scope of the project and should be reevaluated as the project progresses to ensure that the project makes good economic sense to continue. If the project falls below these benchmarks then the project should be put on hold until it does make more sense or the project should be aborted because it does not meet the business driver requirements.   References Cost Reduction Program. • Explaining the difference between OData & RDF by way of analogy

    - by jamiet
A couple of months back I wrote a blog post entitled Microsoft, OData and RDF where I gave a high level view of the OData protocol and how it compares to RDF. I talked about linked data, triples and such like which may have been somewhat useful however jargon-heavy. Earlier today Dr Michael Hausenblas (blog | twitter) offered an analogy which I think is probably more useful and with Michael's permission I'm re-posting it here:Imagine a Web (a Web of Documents, if you wish), which is not based on HTML and hyperlinks, but on MS Word documents. The documents are all available on the Internet, so you can download them and consume the content. But after you’re done with a certain document that talks about a book, how do you learn more about it? For example, reviews about the book or where you can purchase it? Maybe the original document mentions that there is some more related information on another server. So you’d need to go there and look for the related bit of information yourself. You see? That’s what the Web is great at – you just click on a hyperlink and it takes you to the document (or section) you’re interested in. All the legwork is taken care of for you through HTML, URIs and HTTP.Hm, right, but how is this related to OData? Well, OData feels a bit like the above mentioned scenario, just concerning data. Of course you – well actually rather a software program I guess – can consume it (a single source), but that’s it.from Oh – it is data on the Web by Michael Hausenblas I believe that OData has loads of use cases but its important to understand its limitations as well and I think Michael has done a good job of explaining those limitations.@Jamiet   Share this post: email it! | bookmark it! | digg it! | reddit! | kick it! | live it!

  • Game works on netbeans but not outside netbeans in jar file?

    - by Michael Haywood
I am creating a basic game of 'Pong'. I have finished the game apart from a few glitches I need to remove. The game runs perfectly in netbeans but if I create a jar file errors come up causing it to not work. I am quite new to java but I believe it is something to do with my code looking for the images but the images have not been loaded up yet. Here is the error. How can I get this to work outside of netbeans in a jar file? • How to make Ubuntu recognize an unknown external display (so I can adjust its resolution)?

    - by WagnerAA
    I have a Dell laptop with an external monitor attached (a Samsumg SyncMaster 931c). My laptop display was recognized, and I can adjust its optimum resolution. My external display is still unknown, thus I'm stuck at a lower resolution (1024x768): I tried the "Detect Displays" button, but it didn't work, nothing happens. I recently upgraded from Ubuntu 12.04 to 12.10. Things were working before. I don't know if I can actually change this configuration, or if this is a bug. I searched for an answer here and also in Launchpad's website, but found none. I even tried to install Nvidia drivers, and just messed things up. It seems I wasn't even using nvidia before, as I guessed by looking at my additional drivers configuration: My laptop has an Intel chipset, I guess: $ dpkg --get-selections | grep -i -e nvidia -e intel intel-gpu-tools install libdrm-intel1:amd64 install libdrm-intel1:i386 install nvidia-common install xserver-xorg-video-intel install I don't have an xorg.conf file (I think this is nvidia related, am I right?): $ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf cat: /etc/X11/xorg.conf: No such file or directory $ ls -l /etc/X11/ total 76 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Out 19 23:41 app-defaults drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Abr 25 2012 cursors -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 18 Abr 25 2012 default-display-manager drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 Abr 25 2012 fonts -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 17394 Dez 3 2009 rgb.txt lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Mai 1 03:33 X -> /usr/bin/Xorg drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Out 19 23:41 xinit drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 23 2012 xkb -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Out 24 08:55 xorg.conf.nvidia-xconfig-original -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 709 Abr 1 2010 Xreset drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Out 19 10:08 Xreset.d drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Out 19 10:08 Xresources -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 3730 Jan 20 2012 Xsession drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Out 20 00:11 Xsession.d -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 265 Jul 1 2008 Xsession.options -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 13 Ago 15 06:43 XvMCConfig -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 601 Abr 25 2012 Xwrapper.config Here is some information I gathered by looking at other related posts: $ sudo lshw -C display; lsb_release -a; uname -a *-display:0 description: VGA compatible controller product: Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller vendor: Intel Corporation physical id: 2 bus info: pci@0000:00:02.0 version: 07 width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: msi pm vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom configuration: driver=i915 latency=0 resources: irq:48 memory:f6800000-f6bfffff memory:d0000000-dfffffff ioport:1800(size=8) *-display:1 UNCLAIMED description: Display controller product: Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller vendor: Intel Corporation physical id: 2.1 bus info: pci@0000:00:02.1 version: 07 width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pm bus_master cap_list configuration: latency=0 resources: memory:f6100000-f61fffff LSB Version: core-2.0-amd64:core-2.0-noarch:core-3.0-amd64:core-3.0-noarch:core-3.1-amd64:core-3.1-noarch:core-3.2-amd64:core-3.2-noarch:core-4.0-amd64:core-4.0-noarch:cxx-3.0-amd64:cxx-3.0-noarch:cxx-3.1-amd64:cxx-3.1-noarch:cxx-3.2-amd64:cxx-3.2-noarch:cxx-4.0-amd64:cxx-4.0-noarch:desktop-3.1-amd64:desktop-3.1-noarch:desktop-3.2-amd64:desktop-3.2-noarch:desktop-4.0-amd64:desktop-4.0-noarch:graphics-2.0-amd64:graphics-2.0-noarch:graphics-3.0-amd64:graphics-3.0-noarch:graphics-3.1-amd64:graphics-3.1-noarch:graphics-3.2-amd64:graphics-3.2-noarch:graphics-4.0-amd64:graphics-4.0-noarch:printing-3.2-amd64:printing-3.2-noarch:printing-4.0-amd64:printing-4.0-noarch:qt4-3.1-amd64:qt4-3.1-noarch Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 12.10 Release: 12.10 Codename: quantal Linux Batcave 3.5.0-17-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 9 19:31:23 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ xrandr -q Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 2304 x 800, maximum 32767 x 32767 LVDS1 connected 1280x800+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 286mm x 1790mm 1280x800 59.9*+ 1024x768 60.0 800x600 60.3 56.2 640x480 59.9 VGA1 connected 1024x768+1280+32 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 0mm x 0mm 1024x768 60.0* 800x600 60.3 56.2 848x480 60.0 640x480 59.9 DP1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) If there's anything else I can do, any other information I can post here, to help me configure this external display, please let me know.   • /phpTest/zologize/axa.php? Another botnet?

    - by M132
    Starring at the log made me think, what is /phpTest/zologize/axa.php and why are bots looking for it? Previously, I had lots of /HNAP1/ requests. Requesting /HNAP1/ from IPs from log revealed, that all of them were sent by Linksys routers. 3 months later, these requests turned out to be generated by a router worm called TheMoon. But requesting /phpTest/zologize/axa.php from these servers returns a 404 error. How these servers got infected, and how can I protect mine from this? 124.11.224.69 - - [02/Feb/2014:00:37:16 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "-" 140.113.238.121 - - [21/Feb/2014:01:24:32 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "-" 77.121.132.79 - - [22/Feb/2014:00:03:56 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "-" 142.4.201.210 - - [24/Feb/2014:21:54:33 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "-" 212.83.168.39 - - [24/Feb/2014:23:16:00 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 168 "-" "-" 87.117.229.210 - - [26/Feb/2014:06:34:58 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 78.100.82.99 - - [26/Feb/2014:08:25:48 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 198.50.205.219 - - [26/Feb/2014:09:59:11 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 210.60.142.107 - - [27/Feb/2014:00:12:12 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 101.109.4.73 - - [27/Feb/2014:08:50:46 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 61.91.128.158 - - [27/Feb/2014:08:59:15 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 201.188.41.175 - - [27/Feb/2014:11:25:42 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 220.133.137.2 - - [27/Feb/2014:12:12:46 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 203.156.104.88 - - [28/Feb/2014:18:11:49 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 61.19.52.58 - - [28/Feb/2014:22:02:56 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 84.2.92.40 - - [28/Feb/2014:23:04:17 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 404 162 "-" "-" 58.64.205.11 - - [01/Mar/2014:06:08:33 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 21 "-" "-" 113.61.200.151 - - [01/Mar/2014:18:25:25 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 21 "-" "-" 178.33.219.12 - - [03/Mar/2014:14:41:48 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 21 "-" "-" 74.63.220.132 - - [04/Mar/2014:01:16:44 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 21 "-" "-" 187.141.230.106 - - [04/Mar/2014:15:39:26 +0100] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 21 "-" "-" 103.22.181.146 - - [09/May/2014:17:16:56 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 502 166 "-" "-" 176.31.200.14 - - [10/May/2014:19:52:24 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 68 "-" "-" 124.120.92.70 - - [12/May/2014:16:19:40 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 68 "-" "-" 219.85.198.142 - - [15/May/2014:19:21:22 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 80.84.53.226 - - [23/May/2014:08:58:25 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 87.213.11.165 - - [25/May/2014:06:20:27 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 122.116.220.106 - - [25/May/2014:07:10:21 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 58.8.128.30 - - [29/May/2014:02:43:49 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 142.4.197.135 - - [29/May/2014:11:36:45 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 178.32.243.65 - - [30/May/2014:01:59:53 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 58.8.164.221 - - [30/May/2014:14:04:16 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 140.127.182.15 - - [01/Jun/2014:14:45:40 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 218.166.43.21 - - [01/Jun/2014:16:07:52 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 178.32.188.140 - - [01/Jun/2014:19:11:46 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 94.23.211.173 - - [05/Jun/2014:00:52:52 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 120.117.105.201 - - [05/Jun/2014:04:39:39 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 187.172.27.146 - - [05/Jun/2014:10:20:22 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-" 203.195.219.91 - - [05/Jun/2014:10:53:42 +0200] "GET /phpTest/zologize/axa.php HTTP/1.1" 200 37 "-" "-"

  • Selenium RC throws sessionsid should not be null exception with assertTextPresent, phpunit 3.4 bug o

    - by user342775
I am looking to migrate my selenium RC tests to using PHPUnit 3.4.12 from PHPUnit 3.3.2 The selenium test will fail with an exception of the following when I use assertTextPresent() PHPUnit_Framework_Exception: Response from Selenium RC server for getLocation(). ERROR Server Exception: sessionId should not be null; has this session been started yet?. For example: public function testSending($browser) { ... $browser->click("send"); $browser->waitForPageToLoad("30000"); $browser->assertTextPresent("text"); } Below is the selenium RC log (running on Windows): 15:40:19.676 INFO - Command request: isTextPresent[text, ] on session 153d03a123c42098711994f43c2db34 15:40:19.691 INFO - Got result: OK,false on session 153d023a123c42098711994f43cdb34 15:40:19.879 INFO - Command request: testComplete[, ] on session 153d023a123c4298711994f43c2db34 15:40:19.879 INFO - Killing Firefox... 15:40:20.269 INFO - Got result: OK on session 153d023a123c42098711994f43c2db34 15:40:20.472 INFO - Command request: getLocation[, ] on session null 15:40:20.472 ERROR - Exception running 'getLocation 'command on session null java.lang.NullPointerException: sessionId should not be null; has this session been started yet? As you can see, the test should have completed as indicated by the "Killing Firefox" bit, but it instead continued to do something else and triggered the getLocation[, ] command which caused the exception. I have tried the same test with PHPUnit 3.3.2 which did not produce this problem - the test would happily end without the getLocation(). Any ideas? thanks

  • failed to connect to any given host:port - RoR Error?

    - by Sam Hursey
Hi all I'm very new to Ruby on Rails so please go easy! I've uploaded the whole application to the server (Dreamhost) and gone through the steps. But when I try to run it I get the following error: failed to connect to any given host:port (Mongo::ConnectionFailure) I have installed the Mongo gem; but maybe I haven't got it configured correctly? I know you can't use localhost for describing where a Dreamhost mysql database is; might it be something like that? These are the first five lines of the backtrace if that helps?: /home/user/.gem/ruby/1.8/gems/mongo-0.19.1/lib/../lib/mongo/connection.rb 440 in `connect_to_master' 1 /home/user/.gem/ruby/1.8/gems/mongo-0.19.1/lib/../lib/mongo/connection.rb 131 in `initialize' 2 /home/user/.gem/ruby/1.8/gems/magent-0.3/lib/magent.rb 19 in `new' 3 /home/user/.gem/ruby/1.8/gems/magent-0.3/lib/magent.rb 19 in `connection' 4 /home/user/.gem/ruby/1.8/gems/magent-0.3/lib/magent.rb 27 in `database=' 5 /home/user/.gem/ruby/1.8/gems/magent-0.3/lib/magent.rb 35 Any help much appreciated and apologies for my n00bishness! • Create a HTML table from nested maps (and vectors)

    - by Kenny164
I'm trying to create a table (a work schedule) I have coded previously using python, I think it would be a nice introduction to the Clojure language for me. I have very little experience in Clojure (or lisp in that matter) and I've done my rounds in google and a good bit of trial and error but can't seem to get my head around this style of coding. Here is my sample data (will be coming from an sqlite database in the future): (def smpl2 (ref {"Salaried" [{"John Doe" ["12:00-20:00" nil nil nil "11:00-19:00"]} {"Mary Jane" [nil "12:00-20:00" nil nil nil "11:00-19:00"]}] "Shift Manager" [{"Peter Simpson" ["12:00-20:00" nil nil nil "11:00-19:00"]} {"Joe Jones" [nil "12:00-20:00" nil nil nil "11:00-19:00"]}] "Other" [{"Super Man" ["07:00-16:00" "07:00-16:00" "07:00-16:00" "07:00-16:00" "07:00-16:00"]}]})) I was trying to step through this originally using for then moving onto doseq and finally domap (which seems more successful) and dumping the contents into a html table (my original python program outputed this from a sqlite database into an excel spreadsheet using COM). Here is my attempt (the create-table fn): (defn html-doc [title & body] (html (doctype "xhtml/transitional") [:html [:head [:title title]] [:body body]])) (defn create-table [] [:h1 "Schedule"] [:hr] [:table (:style "border: 0; width: 90%") [:th "Name"][:th "Mon"][:th "Tue"][:th "Wed"] [:th "Thur"][:th "Fri"][:th "Sat"][:th "Sun"] [:tr (domap [ct @smpl2] [:tr [:td (key ct)] (domap [cl (val ct)] (domap [c cl] [:tr [:td (key c)]]))]) ]]) (defroutes tstr (GET "/" ((html-doc "Sample" create-table))) (ANY "*" 404)) That outputs the table with the sections (salaried, manager, etc) and the names in the sections, I just feel like I'm abusing the domap by nesting it too many times as I'll probably need to add more domaps just to get the shift times in their proper columns and the code is getting a 'dirty' feel to it. I apologize in advance if I'm not including enough information, I don't normally ask for help on coding, also this is my 1st SO question :). If you know any better approaches to do this or even tips or tricks I should know as a newbie, they are definitely welcome. Thanks.

  • AuthorizationExecuteWithPrivileges and osascript failing

    - by cygnl7
I'm attempting to execute an uninstaller (written in AppleScript) through AuthorizationExecuteWithPrivileges. I'm setting up my rights after creating an empty auth ref like so: char *tool = "/usr/bin/osascript"; AuthorizationItem items = {kAuthorizationRightExecute, strlen(tool), tool, 0}; AuthorizationRights rights = {sizeof(items)/sizeof(AuthorizationItem), &items}; AuthorizationFlags flags = kAuthorizationFlagDefaults | kAuthorizationFlagExtendRights | kAuthorizationFlagPreAuthorize | kAuthorizationFlagInteractionAllowed; status = AuthorizationCopyRights(authorizationRef, &rights, NULL, flags, NULL); Later I call: status = AuthorizationExecuteWithPrivileges(authorizationRef, tool, kAuthorizationFlagDefaults, (char *const *)args, NULL); On Snow Leopard this works fine, but on Leopard I get the following in syslog.log: Apr 19 15:30:09 hostname /usr/bin/osascript[39226]: OpenScripting.framework - 'gdut' event blocked in process with mixed credentials (issetugid=0 uid=501 euid=0 gid=20 egid=20) Apr 19 15:30:12: --- last message repeated 1 time --- ...
