    Hello All, I'm trying to familiarize myself with Facebook's new Graph API and so far I can fetch and write some data pretty easily. Something I'm struggling to find decent documentation on is uploading images to an album. According to http://developers.facebook.com/docs/api#publishing you need to supply the message argument. But I'm not quite sure how to construct it. Older resources I've read are: http://wiki.auzigog.com/Facebook_Photo_Uploads http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Photos.upload If someone has more information or could help me tackle uploading photos to an album using Facebook Graph API please reply!

  • Merging photo textures - (from calibrated cameras) - projected onto geometry

    I am looking for papers/algorithms for merging projected textures onto geometry. To be more specific, given a set of fully calibrated cameras/photographs and geometry, how can we define a metric for choosing which photograph should be used to texture a given patch of the geometry. I can think of a few attributes one may seek minimize including the angle between the surface normal and the camera, the distance of the camera from the surface, as well as minimizing some parameterization of sharpness. The question is how do these things get combined and are there well established existing solutions?

  • iphone photo maximum size

    Hi all i want to know there a limitation in size for an iphone to display an image? as the resolution of iphone is 320*480 px. i am developing an app which fetches photos from an URL and that URL contains some photos os size 600KB.So when i launch the app in simulator it behaves properly but in device the application crashes as soon as photos with higher resolution are displayed , and when lower resolution photos are displayed the app does not crash in the device.

  • How can I use Three20 to create a dynamic TTThumbsViewController that feeds from a website directory?

    Hello, I'm pretty new to the iPhone developing scene, and I am designing an app for a high school band program. Part of the app needs to be an image gallery that retrieves photos from a directory on the band's website and lists them in the thumbnail view. I can't figure out how to create a thumsview that isn't directly linked to specific pictures. I currently have this setup to work with a UIWebView that points to a PHP photo album designed to look like the iPhone Photo Album. This method works, but it is not ideal, and the navigation is obviously a bit less than what would be expected. Is Three20 the right tool for this job? If not, what should I be using? Thanks!

    I am creating an iPad application and in it I would like to let the user select an image from their photolibrary using the image picker, then I would like to put that image into a template,kinda like a picture on a card then I would like the user to be able to edit the text on the card then saving it into the saved photos album on the ipad. How would I go about doing this in code. I am new to iphone/ipad development but this isthe only thing so far I'm having problems with.     I have a problem with PhotobucketNet user login(I need user to login so I can upload a picture from HDD to his Photobucket account). Photobucket photobucket = new Photobucket("myapikey", "myapisecret"); photobucket.LaunchUserLogin(); // the problem happens here photobucket.RequestUserToken(); If I call RequestUserToken() it will happen immediately, so I'll get a crash cause user didn't logged in, and there is no event that's been raised after user logs in. Is there some variable(bool or something else) that I can check to see if user logged in - maybe to put it in a loop with timer? Also is their a way to know if user canceled logging in? I know that timer isn't a good solution, so if anyone has anything better as an idea, I'm open for any suggestions...

  • Using AWS S3 for photo storage

    I'm going to be using S3 to store user uploaded photos. Obviously, I wont be serving the image files to user agents without resizing them down. However, not one size would do, as some thumbnails will be smaller than other larger previews. So, I was thinking of making a standard set of dimensions scaling from the lowest 16x16 to some highest 1024x1024. Is this a good way to solve this problem? What if I need a new size later on? How would you solve this?

    Hello, I have been writing articles on the wordpress.com blog, now i am looking to move it to self-hosted wordpress blog but i wonder: 1) Should i move all my articles on the new blog or just put an article on my last blog that more articles will be posted on my new blog?* 2) If i move all articles on my new blog, i am not sure about how google will react to it because there are articles with good number of visitors, won't this be seo-un-friendly because i am not sure but google will re-create page reputation stuff, etc or those articles will have same popularity even if i move elsewhere?* 3) What are the implications and side-effects in moving from wordpress.com blog to self-hosted wordpress blog?* Thanks

  • Building a blog: what's standard?

    I'm generally pretty new at web stuff. I wanted to build a blog from scratch to get some practice. Few questions: Do most people add new entries of a blog by directly editing the html or is there a more dynamic way of doing this that is used more frequently? I'm assuming you can store the entries in some type of database and then display them via javascript or something similar? What are the most frequently used tools for what I'm describing?     I really like how Lifehacker.com (and Gawker.com) implements their comment system. I believe, but am not certain, they use Movable Type as the platform for their blog. What I like about their comment system is that it's a simple open text field and once you click "Share" it then asks you to register. Question: Anyone know how to accomplish this same functionality with either Wordpress or Movable Type?

  • Ruby CMS/blog: Mephisto vs. Radiant

    I'm looking for a blogging tool with some light CMS features in Ruby on Rails. I mainly want something simple, but configurable. I have no need for page snippets, etc. Just your basic main blog, very good (and easy) theme support, some nice sidebar stuff, a few static pages and MetaWeblog API support. I'm thinking of either using Mephisto or Radiant CMS (everything else seems half-baked or extremely lightweight at best): http://mephistoblog.com/ http://www.radiantcms.org/ Documentation for Mephisto seems very lacking and their site is a mess. I've also read some bad things about it's stability. Radiant seems more stable in comparison and has heaps of useful plug-ins. However, it isn't designed for blogging out of the box. That has to be added as almost an after thought. Creating a custom theme also seems more cumbersome with Radiant due to the sub-page/snippet feature. Which should I choose?
