• need help connecting to bitbucket repository with sourceTree on windows 8

  I'm having trouble adding and cloning my repo on bitbucket to the sourceTree app, we're only starting with this now and we're a small company, so there's not much knowledge around this. now I've gone through The documentation on sourceTree for help, but I've noticed when I select my repo on bitbucket, it uses the repo url I select and appends a .git at the end. Then a notice message says This is not a valid source path / URL, but when I click Details... I get a dialogBox with nothing in it and an ok button. and when I'm done entering the details the 'Clone' button remains disabled. Is this Windows 8 or am I actually doing something wrong? Now I usually use ubuntu, but we just got these new ASUS ultrabooks at work and it's a pain to install any linux Distro on here. So I'm stuck with windows 8

• Can someone help me remove/fix ubuntu?

  I'm very new to ubuntu for starters. Whenever I turn my computer on, it opens to the GNU Grub terminal. It says it supports minimal Bash-Like line editing (I have no idea what this means). To work-around this, I used "exit -ubuntu", this then takes me to a separate page which I selected the Windows Boot Manager and click on the Windows 8.1 icon which makes my Windows 8 load normally. If I click on the other icon, being the ubuntu one, I get put back at the GNU Grub terminal and thats it. If someone could help me either remove ubuntu or repair it so that I can load it again, I would appreciate it. I had installed the most recent ubuntu version. Any other required information to assist I can provide. Thank you.

  I Have a samsung N150plus netbook That I have been using for a while now. I left it on and plugged to a wall outlet and went to bed. I dual boot ubuntu and win7. I tried to update the win7 to sp1 and I dozed off. I woke up and saw the machine has been booted to ubuntu and logged in as guest, which translate to mean one of my room mates have tried to use the machine and they all have denied using my machine. I tried to reboot to windows and then it appears to have no cpu, hard disk and cpu fan activity. only one led seems to come on when i plug it in. its only the led that indicate the machine is powered on powers steadily. I really cant afford to buy a new machine now and I need the machine to complete my last project in school for my last year. Help Please

  I am starting an eCommerce marketplace, I am new to eCommerce, but I am taking it up as a challenge. I will have multiple vendors on my site. and they will upload their products through csv.- for bulk upload however there will be certain popular products already listed in the database, they can add those to their listing(like amazon for 3rd party sellers). I have no idea how to assign product codes for every product, can you help me out? im taking about something like amazons asin number. or may be is it possible to let vendors assign their own numbers? how does that work?

Tech lead's responsibilities here would include thinking of/designing overall solution architecture, coding, refactoring, being the first to dive into the next big thing, reviewing others' code, sitting on customer meetings and answering endless questions from the rest of the team. Now I'm moving on to a branch-level position (in a branch of ~60 people), which entails pretty much the same, sans maybe the coding/refactoring part. Still kinda a tech lead, but the title "tech lead" is already being used and means something else - a group-level tech lead. Please help me come up with a good job title. I need something for my e-mail signature and, eventually, resume.

  Could you, pls, help me with my wireless card Atheros AR9285 on Ubuntu 10.12.. I've already went through all possible advices and still cannot start my wireless card. I have a laptop Toshiba Portege Z830 where Wifi've already worked under Windows 7. But after migration on Ubuntu 10.12. I'm not able get it work.   I'm using ubuntu 13.10 alongside w-7. I was tring to solve over heating problem. then by mistakely i install 2 packages from s/w center. when I boot up PC next time it is giving me error like that "system is running in low graphics.. " and I'mm not ablle to boot any more. when I checked newly install packages by command "cat /var/log/dpkg.log | grep "\install\"" then I found they are named as, ebtables:amd64 2.0.10.4-2ubuntu2 and ureadahead:amd64 0.100.0-16 I triend removing those packages by command "sudo ap-get remove ebtables:amd64" but it is giving error... so please buddy help me if u can ..

• Ethernet Wired Connection Help

  I have recently installed Ubuntu 12.10 onto my Dell Inspiron N5010 and Ive been all over many forums trying to figure out how I can get my ethernet cable to be recognized so I can set up a wired connection. My Network Card is the Realtek RT8139 and from what Ive gathered the ethernet port driver for it is installed. Whenever I run ifconfig in the terminal it says that eth1 is up and running but no matter how I edit the connection I cannot get it to work. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!

  Let's see if someone can help me with two mini-bugs I have: Sometimes, when I close the laptop and later open it, the touchpad stops working properly. Most times it only acts fuzzy a few seconds and then starts working fine, but other times it stops working completely (I can't move the mouse arrow, althougt clicking buttons work fine) until I restart. Whenever I turn on the computer, some keys excange with others (" becomes @, ? becomes _, ¿ becomes +, etc), and I have to go to Keyboard input and add and delete some language (I use Afgan because it's the first) Thanks.

• Help with Dial Up

  I am trying to set up a computer for my friend that has dial up. The problem is nothing I try can detect the modem. GnomePPP can't find it and I can't figure Kppp out. I've been looking all over the net on my ethernet trying to find an answer but I keep getting routed back here. I have also tried using scanModem and it finds something like Conexant Systems, Inc. HCF 56k Data/Fax/Voice Modem but the rest of it is really confusing. I've also tried this but I'm not very terminal savvy and it didn't work. It seems like I have to compile a driver but I don't know which one or how to do it. I have also tried multiple modems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks EDIT: scanModem thinks the modem is disabled on startup. EDIT: I reinstalled Ubuntu but the problem persists.

• Help comparing Cocos2d and Unity3d for this project [closed]

  I will not go into details, but I would like to hear your opinions about this: Essentially, my project will be a 2d game, with lots of complex levels, where some might be simple and others might be a bit more deep, with physics, etc. We want to implement our very own online structure: logging in, leaderboards, achievements, friends etc with our own servers. This means no OpenFeint nor GameCenter at all. We expect this game to be very large in both graphics and audio. We wish to use in-app purchases. Now, we considered two options. Cocos2d and Unity3d. We need help deciding using the factors I mentioned before (networking, good performance even for a large game in terms of graphics and audio like this, in-app purchases, etc) which option would fit better this? Technically, both options can create 2d games. I'd like to hear your opinion.

• Keep trying to install always throws error help!

  So I was installing 12.10 on my Asus g74sx laptop... Did everything the tutorial told me to do yet I keep getting an error saying that there was an error of input/output.. That I should check the hard drive and see if it needs replacement. I tried with 2 DVDs and did format twice my usb to fat 32 and mounted the image file for 12.10... No idea what is going on. Please help! Mmm I cannot add an image... I'll comment with the link to the error!

  I have a PHP Form with two different fieldsets and about 4 labels within each. The form mailer is one i found on a tutorial but I'm not sure how to set in all the variables. Should all the 'label for' names also be the name of the variable? And is it easy to format with font-size etc.. once its been sent to an email for easy reading? $course_title = $_POST['course_title']; $course_date = $_POST['course_date']; $course_code = $_POST['course_code']; $course_fee = $_POST['course_fee']; Say i have - Personal Details labels with - first_name, address, postcode, dob. • HELP: I Broke Ubuntu By Uninstalling Compiz

  I'm still getting used to Linux, having come from Windows. I was receiving an error that "compiz" had crashed a few times so I figured I'd uninstall it. sudo apt-get remove compiz sudo apt-get install compiz I logged out then back in, after that, the GUI was totally gone and I have no idea how to get it back or what I need to do to restore the GUI to what it was before I killed poor Compiz. GUI was pretty much unmodified after a fresh install of 14.04 How can I fix it? I'm not even sure how to get to a terminal or anything. The login screen looks normal, but after logging in, it's a totally bare desktop with my backround and a few icons. No Dash, toolbar, etc. Hot Keys don't seem to work either (Super = Dash doesn't work, etc); although I did accidently open "Disk" UI. Not sure how. Please Help! Right now I'm working off my W7 dualboot.

  this is the second time im asking this question because someone had to close my question for a reason which i still dont understand. this is the original question Why is my files,machine,help tab missing in ubuntu 11.10? I am creating a spreadsheet to calculate Adword formulas and I am stuck in how to calculate the Monthly Net Income for each keyword. I have created a formula which calculates it but can't figure out how to limit the Monthly Budget.   This script uses a cookie.txt in the same folder chmoded to 777... The problem i am facing is i hav many accounts to login... Say if i hav 5 accounts...i created cookie1.txt,cookie2.txt an so on.. then the script worked..with the post data But i want this to be always logged in and post data.. Can anyone tell me how to do this?????   I followed a friend's advice and am using Ubuntu, and was enjoying it. I began to get system errors, tried to fix to no avail. It won't let me download anything to Ubuntu, saying unauthorized or untrusted software, or something. NOW MY CD DRIVE doesn't work! So I can't boot dban or anything via cd. Finally I bought a usb stick but it won't boot dban or anything. I'm about to just smash this with a hammer. Help me start over.
