  • RAID1: can't replace faulty spare (marked again as 'faulty spare' within seconds)

    - by user212475
I got a problem that I cannot solve: Our fileserver runs XUbuntu and 3 RAID1s. One has a problem since monday: it consists of sdb and sdc. sdb was marked as faulty by mdadm for unknown reasons. I used --remove to remove it from the RAID and then to add it by --add. All was fine, re-syncing started but never got above 0% and after a few seconds, sdb was again marked as 'faulty spare' (and therefore the RAID degraded, but clean). So I saved the first 512 byte of the old sdb to a file, bought a new HDD of same size (4TB), shut down the computer and replaced sdb physically, switched the computer back on and wrote the 512 byte back to the new drive to have the same partition info as the old drive (both are the same type, from same company). But the new drive shows the same behaviour as the old: I can add, re-syncing starts and after a few seconds its marked as 'faulty spare'. Here exactly what i did: mdadm --remove /dev/md/1 /dev/sdb maadm --detail /dev/md/1 gives me: /dev/md/1: Version : 1.2 Creation Time : Sat Jun 8 22:32:05 2013 Raid Level : raid1 Array Size : 3906887360 (3725.90 GiB 4000.65 GB) Used Dev Size : 3906887360 (3725.90 GiB 4000.65 GB) Raid Devices : 2 Total Devices : 1 Persistence : Superblock is persistent Update Time : Thu Nov 7 06:56:13 2013 State : clean, degraded Active Devices : 1 Working Devices : 1 Failed Devices : 0 Spare Devices : 0 Name : File-Server:1 (local to host File-Server) UUID : 44ed561f:b733e946:e69820f4:aba9b223 Events : 2424 Number Major Minor RaidDevice State 0 0 0 0 removed 1 8 32 1 active sync /dev/sdc mdadm --add /dev/md/1 /dev/sdb mdadm --detail /dev/md/1 gives me: Version : 1.2 Creation Time : Sat Jun 8 22:32:05 2013 Raid Level : raid1 Array Size : 3906887360 (3725.90 GiB 4000.65 GB) Used Dev Size : 3906887360 (3725.90 GiB 4000.65 GB) Raid Devices : 2 Total Devices : 2 Persistence : Superblock is persistent Update Time : Thu Nov 7 06:57:49 2013 State : clean, degraded, recovering Active Devices : 1 Working Devices : 1 Failed Devices : 1 Spare Devices : 0 Rebuild Status : 0% complete Name : File-Server:1 (local to host File-Server) UUID : 44ed561f:b733e946:e69820f4:aba9b223 Events : 2431 Number Major Minor RaidDevice State 2 8 16 0 faulty spare rebuilding /dev/sdb 1 8 32 1 active sync /dev/sdc and after a few seconds: /dev/md/1: Version : 1.2 Creation Time : Sat Jun 8 22:32:05 2013 Raid Level : raid1 Array Size : 3906887360 (3725.90 GiB 4000.65 GB) Used Dev Size : 3906887360 (3725.90 GiB 4000.65 GB) Raid Devices : 2 Total Devices : 2 Persistence : Superblock is persistent Update Time : Thu Nov 7 06:57:50 2013 State : clean, degraded Active Devices : 1 Working Devices : 1 Failed Devices : 1 Spare Devices : 0 Name : File-Server:1 (local to host File-Server) UUID : 44ed561f:b733e946:e69820f4:aba9b223 Events : 2436 Number Major Minor RaidDevice State 0 0 0 0 removed 1 8 32 1 active sync /dev/sdc 2 8 16 - faulty spare /dev/sdb same behaviour if I zero the superblock (mdadm --zero-superblock /dev/sdb) before adding sdb. Does anybody have any idea, what the problem is?

  • Cannot open /dev/rfcomm1 : Host is down

    - by srj0408
I am working on raspberry PI and on Bluetooth. I am using old raspberry pi kernel as the new one has got some bugs that were not resolved with respect to the bluez daemon. At present my kernel version is 3.6.11. I am using a USB bluetooth dongle and my sole purpose is to auto connect the bluetooth dongle when ever it is in range. For that i think i have to run a script in the backend on RPI that will keep on checking the existence of usb bluetooth dongle. I started from the very scratch. I installed bluez daemon using apt-get install bluetooth bluez utils blueman and then i used hciconfig which gives me that my bluetooth usb dongle is working fine. But when i did hcitool scan , it give me no device in range even though my Serial bluetooth Device was on. I wasn't able to find any device in vicinity. Also when i unplugged and plug the USB dongle again, i was able to scan the serial device , but when i repeat the process, i find the earlier condition of not finding any deice. I had find another useful link, but that need address of the bluetooth device that need to be connected. I want to automate this using hcitool scan, storing the output to the a file and then comparing it with already paired devices and their name. For that i need to figure out why hcitool scan is sometime working and sometime not. ? Can some one help me in figuring out why this is happening. Is there any problem on hardware side i.e Bluetooth dongle is buggy or i had some problem in bluez utils. Edit 1: While as of now, hcitool scan is giving me my remote device address but still i am getting the same issue of HOUST IS DOWN, '/dev/rfcomm1'. I am really not getting any idea of what to be done.

  • Software Raid 10 corrupted superblock after dual disk failure, how do I recover it?

    - by Shoshomiga
I have a software raid 10 with 6 x 2tb hard drives (raid 1 for /boot), ubuntu 10.04 is the os. I had a raid controller failure that put 2 drives out of sync, crashed the system and initially the os didnt boot up and went into initramfs instead, saying that drives were busy but I eventually managed to bring the raid up by stopping and assembling the drives. The os booted up and said that there were filesystem errors, I chose to ignore because it would remount the fs in read-only mode if there was a problem. Everything seemed to be working fine and the 2 drives started to rebuild, I was sure that it was a sata controller failure because I had dma errors in my log files. The os crashed soon after that with ext errors. Now its not bringing up the raid, it says that there is no superblock on /dev/sda2, even if I assemble manually with all the device names. I also did a memtest and changed the motherboard in addition to everything else. EDIT: This is my partition layout Disk /dev/sdb: 2000.4 GB, 2000398934016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 243201 cylinders, total 3907029168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 4096 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 4096 bytes / 4096 bytes Disk identifier: 0x0009c34a Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdb1 * 2048 511999 254976 83 Linux /dev/sdb2 512000 3904980991 1952234496 83 Linux /dev/sdb3 3904980992 3907028991 1024000 82 Linux swap / Solaris All 6 disks have the same layout, partition #1 is for raid 1 /boot, partition #2 is for raid 10 far plan, partition #3 is swap, but sda did not have swap enabled EDIT2: This is the output of mdadm --detail /dev/md1 Layout : near=1, far=2 Chunk Size : 64k UUID : a0feff55:2018f8ff:e368bf24:bd0fce41 Events : 0.3112126 Number Major Minor RaidDevice State 0 8 34 0 spare rebuilding /dev/sdc2 1 0 0 1 removed 2 8 18 2 active sync /dev/sdb2 3 8 50 3 active sync /dev/sdd2 4 0 0 4 removed 5 8 82 5 active sync /dev/sdf2 6 8 66 - spare /dev/sde2 EDIT3: I ran ddrescue and it has copied everything from sda except a single 4096 byte sector that I suspect is the raid superblock EDIT4: Here is some more info too long to fit here lshw: http://pastebin.com/2eKrh7nF mdadm --detail /dev/sd[abcdef]1 (raid1): http://pastebin.com/cgMQWerS mdadm --detail /dev/sd[abcdef]2 (raid10): http://pastebin.com/V5dtcGPF dumpe2fs of /dev/sda2 (from the ddrescue cloned drive): http://pastebin.com/sp0GYcJG I tried to recreate md1 based on this info with the command mdadm --create /dev/md1 -v --assume-clean --level=10 --raid-devices=6 --chunk=64K --layout=f2 /dev/sda2 missing /dev/sdc2 /dev/sdd2 missing /dev/sdf2 But I can't mount it, I also tried to recreate it based on my initial mdadm --detail /dev/md1 but it still doesn't mount It also warns me that /dev/sda2 is an ext2fs file system but I guess its because of ddrescue

  • Cross platform /dev/null in Python

    - by Tristan
I'm using the following code to hide stderr on Linux/OSX for a Python library I do not control that writes to stderr by default: f = open("/dev/null","w") zookeeper.set_log_stream(f) Is there an easy cross platform alternative to /dev/null? Ideally it would not consume memory since this is a long running process.

  • How do I mount a "DiskSecure Multiboot" partition?

    - by ????
For a hard drive that has 4 or 5 partitions, I was able to mount one of them using Ubuntu LiveCD: sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt but is there a way to mount to the other partitions? • Can't add Fedora 14 to grub.

    - by Dananjaya
Today I installed Fedora 14 in a different partition in the same hard drive as Ubuntu. At the Fedora 14 installation, I chose not to install Boot-loader in the MBR, and instead chose to install it in the Fedora partition itself, which is according to my HD layout /sda3. After the Fedora 14 installation I booted in to Ubuntu and ran sudo update-grub but 'grub.cfg' fails to add Fedora 14 in to the OS list. Here is the output of boot-info script. there! After trying to upgrade from Ubuntu 10.04 to 11, the upgrading process stopped when running and then I got an "out of disk, grub rescue" message when booting. After running Boot Repair, I got this results. Now I get "Missing Operating System" whent trying to boot. Bellow I show some results from some commands I gather from help foruns, but I still reached no solution. Could you please help me? Any enlightment will be very helpful! • How to rebuild fstab automatically

    - by yvoyer
I accidentally removed all the entries from the fstab files while doing a backup (Yeah, I know ;)). I would like to know if there is a way to rebuild it with the current mount options, since I did not restart the server since the deletion. If there is no such program, could anybody help me rebuild it. • Hide icons encrypted file system partitions in Nautilus

    - by Eddy Pronk
I've installed Ubuntu 10.04 from the alternate CD. It has an encrypted root and swap partition. The root partition is visible in Nautilus as 'File Syste' icon. There is another icon "216 GB Filesystem". If I click it says: Unable to mount 216 GB Filesystem. /dev/mapper/sda5_crypt is mounted. Then there is another icon "6.1 GB Swap Space". • Unable to mount an LVM Hard-drive after upgrade

    - by Bruce Staples
I imagine this is a basic gotcha ... but I can't see it. I have a system with 2(physical) harddrives. The boot system (/dev/sda) was running 10.04 & the second drive (/dev/sdb) was just a mounted filesystem. I did a clean load of Ubuntu 12.04 overwriting /dev/sda (not an upgrade) & now cannot mount the second drive. so I do not know what to enter it into the fstab ... I had expected to use: /dev/sdb /tera ext4 defaults 0 2 But even manual mounting fails (I also have tried various "-t" options on the off chance!) sudo mount -t ext4 /dev/sdb1 /tera mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so Output from disk queries indicate that it is a Linux LVM & a healthy disk still. sudo lshw -C disk *-disk:0 description: ATA Disk product: WDC WD5000AACS-0 vendor: Western Digital physical id: 0 bus info: scsi@2:0.0.0 logical name: /dev/sda version: 01.0 serial: WD-WCASU1401098 size: 465GiB (500GB) capabilities: partitioned partitioned:dos configuration: ansiversion=5 signature=00015a55 *-disk:1 description: ATA Disk product: WDC WD10EADS-00L vendor: Western Digital physical id: 1 bus info: scsi@3:0.0.0 logical name: /dev/sdb version: 01.0 serial: WD-WCAU47836304 size: 931GiB (1TB) capabilities: partitioned partitioned:dos configuration: ansiversion=5 sudo fdisk -l Disk /dev/sda: 500.1 GB, 500106780160 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 60801 cylinders, total 976771055 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x00015a55 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 * 2048 972580863 486289408 83 Linux /dev/sda2 972582910 976769023 2093057 5 Extended /dev/sda5 972582912 976769023 2093056 82 Linux swap / Solaris Disk /dev/sdb: 1000.2 GB, 1000204886016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 121601 cylinders, total 1953525168 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk identifier: 0x00000000 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sdb1 1 1953525167 976762583+ 8e Linux LVM LVM doesn't appear to be an option for mount or fstab. ... and here's a Smart data Screenshot from Disk Utility.

  • Used mountmanager now Ubuntu hangs on boot

    - by fpghost
I was using MountManager in Ubuntu 12.04 to set user permissions in mounting hard drives. I set each partititon to be mountable by everyone instead of admin only. • Reading Serial Data From C (OSX /dev/tty)

    - by Jud Stephenson
I am trying to read data from a bluetooth barcode scanner (KDC300) using C. Here is the code I have so far, and the program successfully establishes a bluetooth connection to the scanner, but when a barcode is scanned, no input is displayed on the screen (Eventually more will be done with the data, but we have to get it working first, right). Here is the program: #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include <string.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <fcntl.h> #include <errno.h> #include <termios.h> #include <sys/ioctl.h> int main (int argc, const char * argv[]) { // define vars int STOP = 0; //char buf[255]; if(argv[1]) { int fd = open("/dev/tty.KDC1", O_RDONLY); if(fd == -1) { printf("%s", strcat("Unable to open /dev/tty.", argv[1])); } int res; while(STOP == 0) { while((res = read(fd,buf,255)) == 0); { if(res > 0) { buf[res]=0; printf("%s:%d\n", buf, res); if(buf[sizeof(buf)]=='\n') break; } } } } return 0; } If anyone has any ideas, I am at a loss on this so far. If it is any help, I can run screen /dev/tty.KDC1 and any barcodes scanned on the scanner appear in the terminal, I just can't do anything with the data. Jud

  • Why is my /dev/random so slow when using dd?

    - by Mikey
I am trying to semi-securely erase a bunch of hard drives. The following is working at 20-50Mb/s dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda But dd if=/dev/random of=/dev/sda seems not to work. Also when I type dd if=/dev/random of=stdout It only gives me a few bytes regardless of what I pass it for bs= and count= Am I using /dev/random wrong? What other info should I look for to move this troubleshooting forward? Is there some other way to do this with a script or something like makeMyLifeEasy | dd if=stdin of=/dev/sda Or something like that...

  • Dual booting on separate hard drives

    - by tornadorider
I have windows XP professional installed on 1 hard drive and Ubuntu 10.10 on my second hard drive. On start up the computer completely skips the grub menu and boots straight into 10.10. I have tried running os-prober with the windows hard drive mounted and then updating grub but it didnt work. Any ideas? I have changed the boot order so that the HDD with xp on it is first however the computer still booted into linux. I tried running grub-install /dev/sda and got this /usr/sbin/grub-setup: warn: Sector 32 is already in use by FlexNet; avoiding it. This software may cause boot or other problems in future. Please ask its authors not to store data in the boot track.. /usr/sbin/grub-setup: warn: Sector 33 is already in use by FlexNet; avoiding it. This software may cause boot or other problems in future. • How to build glibc 2.11.2 on RHEL5?

    Using gcc-4.4.4 or 4.5.0, I'm unable to make glibc-2.11.2 on RHEL 5.5: .././scripts/mkinstalldirs /dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/sunrpc/rpcsvc CPP='gcc -B/home/klaw/share/rhel5/ -E -x c-header' /dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/elf/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 --library-path /dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build:/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/math:/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/elf:/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/dlfcn:/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/nss:/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/nis:/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/rt:/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/resolv:/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/crypt:/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/nptl /dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/sunrpc/rpcgen -Y ../scripts -c rpcsvc/bootparam_prot.x -o /dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/sunrpc/xbootparam_prot.T Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dynamic-link.h: 209: elf_get_dynamic_info: Assertion `info[15] == ((void *)0)' failed! make[2]: *** [/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2-build/sunrpc/xnlm_prot.stmp] Error 127 make[2]: Leaving directory `/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2/sunrpc' make[1]: *** [sunrpc/others] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/dev/shm/glibc-2.11.2' make: *** [all] Error 2 The error comes from the ld.so made by glibc: $ elf/ld.so Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dynamic-link.h: 209: elf_get_dynamic_info: Assertion `info[15] == ((void *)0)' failed! $ I got similar error with glibc-2.11.1 (only the line number of dynamic-link.h is different).     Hi guys, I have a 1.5 Mbit/s link that i want to share with 150 users. My setup is the following: Linux box with 3 NICs eth0 - public ip eth1 - subnet A - 50 users (static ips) eth2 - subnet B - 100 users (via dhcp) I am using squid as a transparent proxy on port 3128. dhcp server using ports 67 and 68. I was creating, but I think packets are not going to the right queues #!/bin/bash DEV=eth0 RATE_MAIN=2048kbit CEIL_MAIN=2048kbit BURST=1b CBURST=1b RATE_DEFAULT=1024kbit CEIL_DEFAULT=$CEIL_MAIN PRIO_DEFAULT=3 RATE_P2P=1024Kbit CEIL_P2P=$CEIL_MAIN PRIO_P2P=4 RATE_IND=32kbit CEIL_IND=$CEIL_DEFAULT tc qdisc del dev $DEV root tc qdisc add dev $DEV root handle 1: htb default 30 tc class add dev $DEV parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate $RATE_MAIN ceil $CEIL_MAIN tc class add dev $DEV parent 1:1 classid 1:10 htb rate $RATE_DEFAULT ceil $CEIL_MAIN burst $BURST cburst $CBURST prio $PRIO_WEB ## some other sub class for p2p other traffic tc class add dev $DEV parent 1:1 classid 1:20 htb rate $RATE_P2P ceil $CEIL_P2P burst $BURST cburst $CBURST prio $PRIO_P2P $IPS_NET1=50 $IPS_NET2=100 let $IPS=$IPS_NET1+$IPS_NET2 for ((i=1; i<= $IPS; i++)) do let CLASSID=($i+100) let HANDLE=($i+100) tc class add dev $DEV parent 1:10 classid 1:$CLASSID htb rate $RATE_IND ceil $CEIL_IND tc qdisc add dev $DEV parent 1:$CLASSID handle $HANDLE: sfq perturb 10 done ## Generate IP addresses ## IP_ADDRESSES="" # Subnet A BASE_IP=10.10.10. for ((i=2; i<=$IPS_NET1+1; i++)) do TEMP="$BASE_IP$i" IP=ADDRESSES="$IP_ADDRESSES $TEMP" done # Subnet B BASE_IP=192.168.0. for ((i=2; i<=$IPS_NET2+1; i++)) do TEMP="$BASE_IP$i" IP_ADDRESSES="$IP_ADDRESSES $TEMP" done ## FILTERS ## j=1 U32="tc filter add dev $DEV protocol ip parent 1:0 prio $PRIO_DEFAULT u32" for NET in $IP_ADDRESSES; do let CLASSID=($j+100) $U32_DEFAULT match ip src $NET/32 flowid 1:$CLASSID $U32_DEFAULT match ip dst $NET/32 flowid 1:$CLASSID let j=j+1 done Can you guys help me figure out what's wrong with it? basically I want my classes to be 1:1 (1.5 Mbit ) 1:10 (1024 Kbit) 1:20 (1024 Kbit) (200 ips each with 32 kbit)

  • How can i use the `eject` command on a computer i have SSH'd into?

    - by will
So if i do eject on my machine, it works exactly as expected, however, if i ssh into the machine next to me, and do the same thing, it does not work... my computer: eject: using default device `cdrom' eject: device name is `cdrom' eject: expanded name is `/dev/cdrom' eject: `/dev/cdrom' is a link to `/dev/sr0' eject: `/dev/sr0' is not mounted eject: `/dev/sr0' is not a mount point eject: checking if device "/dev/sr0" has a removable or hotpluggable flag eject: `/dev/sr0' is not a multipartition device eject: trying to eject `/dev/sr0' using CD-ROM eject command eject: CD-ROM eject command succeeded other computer: eject: using default device `cdrom' eject: device name is `cdrom' eject: expanded name is `/dev/cdrom' eject: `/dev/cdrom' is a link to `/dev/sr0' eject: `/dev/sr0' is not mounted eject: `/dev/sr0' is not a mount point eject: checking if device "/dev/sr0" has a removable or hotpluggable flag eject: `/dev/sr0' is not a multipartition device eject: unable to open `/dev/sr0' if i look in the /dev/ dir, then i find cdrom which is a symlink to sr0 - as mentioned by the verbose outputs of eject -v. On my machine, if i try and look at it, if the drive is open, it will close it, and then give this: $ less sr0 sr0 is not a regular file (use -f to see it) so $ less -f sr0 sr0: No medium found but if i do it on the other computer, $ less -f sr0 sr0: Permission denied so i look at the files more, and get this on both machines: $ ls -la sr0 brw-rw----+ 1 root cdrom 11, 0 Nov 12 10:13 sr0 Does anyone know a way around this? I do not have root access.

  • ipv6 with KVM on debian

I have trouble setting up IPV6 on my Proxmox (KVM) server: My ISP sent me this information(xxx=placeholder): IPs: 2a01:XXX:XXX:301:: /64 Gateway: 2a01:XXX:XXX:300::1 /59 This is the interface setup on the host server: auto vmbr1 iface vmbr1 inet static address 178.XX.XX.4 broadcast 178.XX.XX.63 netmask 255.255.255.192 pointopoint 178.XX.XX.1 gateway 178.XX.XX.1 bridge_ports eth0 bridge_stp off bridge_fd 0 iface vmbr1 inet6 static address 2a01:XXX:XXX:301::2 netmask 64 up ip -6 route add 2a01:XXX:XXX:300::1 dev vmbr1 down ip -6 route del 2a01:XXX:XXX:300::1 dev vmbr1 up ip -6 route add default via 2a01:XXX:XXX:300::1 dev vmbr1 down ip -6 route del default via 2a01:XXX:XXX:300::1 dev vmbr1 On the guest: auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 178.xx.xx.47 netmask 255.255.255.255 broadcast 178.xx.xx.63 gateway 178.xx.xx.1 pointopoint 178.xx.xx.1 iface eth0 inet6 static pre-up modprobe ipv6 address 2a01:XXX:XXX:301::2:2 netmask 64 up ip -6 route add 2a01:XXX:XXX:300::1 dev eth0 down ip -6 route del 2a01:XXX:XXX:300::1 dev eth0 up ip -6 route add default via 2a01:XXX:XXX:300::1 dev eth0 down ip -6 route del default via 2a01:XXX:XXX:300::1 dev eth0 Ipv4 works on both host and guest but Ipv6 only works "sometimes". • Java Google App Engine inconsistent data lose after restarting dev server

    - by user259349
Hello everyone, I am using Java GAE. So far, i'm just scafolding my data objects and i'm seeing an interesting issue. The records that i am playing around with are getting updated properly as long as my dev server is running up. The second that the my dev server gets restarted, i lose all of my changes. That would be not alarming if i lost all of my records, but, there was a point of time where my data persisted through the server restart. I'm worried that i would lose production data if i launched without fixing this potential bugs? ANy idea on wher ei should look?

  • Interacting with system commands using a web dev language

    - by Jamie
Hi all, First of all, sorry for the vague title. Let me explain. At work we're currently using SunGrid I've been assigned a project to create a web interface wrapper for interacting with the engine. i.e. displaying users jobs, submitting jobs via a nice GUI etc. (most of the sgrid commands output xml which is nice) My question for you chaps is the following: What web dev language would you use to interact with the system? i.e. use the language to do a system call and evaluate the response. I'm not after an argument on which language is best, I just would like to know which language is specifically good for interacting with the system and is also good for web dev.

  • iPhone expired dev certs - public/private key pair issue

    - by KevinDTimm
My dev 'license' expired last week, and with it my dev certs. I re-upped my license, but my keys are still expired. I tried to create a new signing certificate via keychain, etc. but it seems my private key is not enough, it needs my public key to do so. I understand that the public key is stored in the provisioning certificate. The question is, can I retrieve the public key from there? (And if so, how?)
