  • Why doesn't MongoDb store my slashes in this string?

    Can anyone tell me why this command doesn't work from the MongoDB shell client: db.coll.update({'live':true},{$set:{'mask':"\D\D\D\D\D\D\D\D"}},false,true) but db.coll.findOne({'id':'someId'}) returns the mask field as: "mask" : "DDDDDDDD", Where are the slashes going? I've tried "double escaping" with \\D and that inserts both slashes: "mask" : "\\D\\D\\D\\D\\D\\D\\D\\D", MongoDB shell version: 2.0.6, MongoDB version: 2.0.5, OSX Lion Thanks

From what I've read the Redirect Host response has something to do with the fact that the two hosts are in the same network and there being a shorter route (or so I understood). They are in fact in the same physical network, but why would there be a better route if they are not on the same subnet (they can't see each other)? What am I missing?     Using the Guava library, I have the following situation: SetMultimap<ImmutableFoo, Set<Foo>> setMM = HashMultimap.create(); Set<Foo> mask = Sets.newHashSet(); // ... some iteration construct { setMM.put(ImmutableFoo1, Sets.difference(SomeSetFoo1,mask)); setMM.put(ImmutableFoo1, Sets.difference(SomeSetFoo2,mask)); mask.add(someFoo); } that is, the same iteration to create the setMM is also used to create the mask - this can of course result in changes to hashCode()s and create duplicates within the SetMultimap backing. Ideally, I'd like the duplicates to drop without me having to make it happen, and avoid repeating the iteration to separately construct the multimap and mask. Any easy libraries/Set implementations to make that happen? Alternatively, can you identify a better way to drop the duplicates than: for (ImmutableFoo f : setMM.keySet()) setMM.putAll(f,setMM.removeAll(f)); revisiting the elements is probably not a performance problem, since I could combine a separate filter operation that needs to visit all the elements anyway.

  • Increase samba space on open suse 12.1

    I know linux basics but not an expert. IT guy left the job here and there is some time before new hire. So sorry if question is very basic. We have local testing server based on Open SUSE 12.1, which also act as shared drive between dev/mgmt team here and using Samba for that. Now we are running out of space on samba, even though server's 2*1TB harddisk is nearly 90% free. My question is, what is limiting Samba and how can I increase its limit? We need around at least 500 GB as shared drive but currently its just 25 GB. I don't need step by step answer, just a link to any helpful article would be sufficient. I do not have (or want) the X Window System installed. I want to change my console screen resolution (not inside X) to 1024x600.     We have a sonicwall tz series FW with two internet service providers connected. One of the providers has a wireless service which works a bit like an ethernet switch in that we have an ip with a /24 subnet and the gateway is .1. All other clients on the same subnet (say 195.222.99.0) have the same .1 gateway - this is important, read on. Some of our clients are also on the same subnet. Our config: X0 : Lan X1 : 89.90.91.92 X2 : 195.222.99.252/24 (GW 195.222.99.1) X1 and X2 are not connected, other than both being connected to the public Internet. Client config: X1 : 195.222.99.123/24 (GW 195.222.99.1) What fails, what works: Traffic 195.222.99.123 (client) <- 89.90.91.92 (X1) : Spoof alert Traffic 195.222.99.123 (client) <- 195.222.99.252 (X1) : OK - no spoof alert I have several clients with IPs in the 195.222.99.0 range and all provoke identical alerts. This is the alert I see on the FW: Alert Intrusion Prevention IP spoof dropped 195.222.99.252, 21475, X1 89.90.91.92, 80, X1 MAC address: 00:12:ef:41:75:88 Anti-spoofing is switched off on my FW (network-mac-ip-anti-spoofing - config for each interface) for all ports I can provoke the alerts by telneting to a port on X1 from the clients. You can't argue with the logic - this is suspicious traffic. X1 is receiving traffic with a source IP which corresponds to X2s subnet. Anyone know how can I tell the FW that packets with a src subnet of 195.222.99.0 can legitimately appear on X1? I know whats going wrong, I've seen the same thing before, but with higher end FWs you can avoid this with a few extra rules. I can't see how to do this here. And before you ask why we're using this service provider - they give us 3ms (yep 3ms, thats not an error) delay between routers.

    Hi all, I have a linux box running Linux server ubuntu 10.10. I have installed Samba on this linux box and want to share files with my laptops which run Windows Vista home and Windows 7 home. I have been struggling with the setup for almost a month but couldn't get it right. If I try to access share folder from Windows Vista, I get message "Windows cannot access \\server_ip_address". Error code: 0x80070035. The network path was not found. If I access from Windows 7, then after entering password to login I can see the list of share folders on Linux box. But if I click on a share folder, I get the same error message as above.   • CentOS 6.2 Bridge Setup for KVM

    I'm trying to set up bridged networking with KVM on CentOS 6.2 to no avail. There are plenty of docs and tutorials about it, but they all seem to conflict or don't provide info specific enough to my situation. I just don't get it. I access the host via public IP "xxx.xxx.128.58". All other available IPs (/29) should be bridged and made available to the only KVM guest (running a public facing LAMP stack) that will be setup on this machine. The amazingly unhelpful NOC people assigned the extra IPs to eth1. Is this correct? Should br0 bridge to eth0 or eth1? How do I set this up?     Hello, This is my situation: Router A: IP 192.168.1.1 Mask 192.168.1.0/24 - Connected to the internet. Server: - Interface eth0: inet addr:10.1.1.125 Mask:255.255.255.0 (connected to router B) - Interface ra0: inet addr:192.168.1.125 Mask:255.255.255.0 (connected to router A) Router B: IP 10.1.1.254 Mask 10.1.1.0/24 - Connected to Server's eth0 Computer: connected to Router B via WiFi connection. I configured a static route on Router B that use as default gateway 192.168.1.125 and i can ping that ip from computer. The problem is: how i can connect to the internet ? In other words, traffic coming from Server eth0 should use ra0 as gateway. Any suggestion ? Thank you

    I have server (Debian Squeeze) with 1 ethernet card and 2 public static IPs (188.120.245.4 and 188.120.244.5). What I want: Setup virtual box (Ubuntu) with access via static IP (188.120.244.5). What I was trying: config.vm.forward_port - good idea: setup interface "eth1:1" with 188.120.244.5 on host-machine, and add to Vagrant file "config.vm.forward_port = hmm..?" config.vm.network :hostonly, "188.120.244.5" - not working. Was created new interface on host-machine with ip "188.120.244.1". Of course 188.120.244.1 IP isn't mine and I can't access my server via this IP. config.vm.network :bridged - I'm confused how this works :) What I have now: Not working configuration.   • Routing to a Terminal Services Cluster

    I am trying to connect to a Load Balanced Windows 2008 R2 cluster using Remote Desktop Services. I have no trouble connecting to the the Servers' IP addresses (.253.16 and .253.17) or the Cluster address (.253.20) from inside the subnet (.253). The trouble is when I try to connect from the other subnet(.251). I can remote to the other non-clustered servers (.253.12 and .253.15) inside the .253 subnet from the .251 without an issue. I receive a ping reply from the cluster and other servers when I am on the .251 subnet. But when I try to connect via remote desktop it times out but only to any of the IPs on the cluster (.20,.17,.16).   • Microsoft Windows DHCP: Steering IPv4 clients into specific scopes based on MAC

    We have visitors on our campus who bring their own laptops and devices and use our wireless and wired networks. When we receive a copyright infringement notice (typically BitTorrenting), we are required to quarantine that MAC address so that it no longer has Internet access. No matter what website it tries to visit, it is sent to a web page explaining to the user that the device has been quarantined. We have thus far implemented this in ISC DHCP on Linux. We have multiple VLANs with one or more public-IP subnets and one RFC1918 quarantine subnet each. All clients are leased IPs in the public-IP subnet(s) unless you're in a list of known bad MACs. Then, you are sent to the quarantine subnet so that your traffic is unroutable on the Internet (you are isolated by subnet only, not by VLAN). We would like to move to Windows DHCP in light of the IPAM role but I cannot figure out how to replicate this in Windows DHCP 2012 (Assign DHCP IPs for specific MAC prefixes on Windows Server 2008 R2 suggests it was not possible in 2008 R2), even while using policies. So here's what I'd like: The administrator/help desk provides and maintains a list of MAC addresses that are to be quarantined. The DHCP server places those MACs into the quarantine subnet on the respective VLAN, no matter which VLAN the client is in. I don't think reservations would work: We currently have about 300 registered bad MACs and about 12 VLANs. I don't want to make 300 x 12 reservations nor have to add 12 reservations per new MAC address. Not to mention all of the quarantine subnets are /24s. We do not have NPS/NAC. You do not have to register your MAC address get network access. We use Cisco routers/switches. Thanks.
