  • Getting percentage of "Count(*)" to the number of all items in "GROUP BY"

    - by celalo
    Let's say I need to have the ratio of "number of items available from certain category" to "the the number of all items". Please consider a MySQL table like this: /* mysql> select * from Item; +----+------------+----------+ | ID | Department | Category | +----+------------+----------+ | 1 | Popular | Rock | | 2 | Classical | Opera | | 3 | Popular | Jazz | | 4 | Classical | Dance | | 5 | Classical | General | | 6 | Classical | Vocal | | 7 | Popular | Blues | | 8 | Popular | Jazz | | 9 | Popular | Country | | 10 | Popular | New Age | | 11 | Popular | New Age | | 12 | Classical | General | | 13 | Classical | Dance | | 14 | Classical | Opera | | 15 | Popular | Blues | | 16 | Popular | Blues | +----+------------+----------+ 16 rows in set (0.03 sec) mysql> SELECT Category, COUNT(*) AS Total -> FROM Item -> WHERE Department='Popular' -> GROUP BY Category; +----------+-------+ | Category | Total | +----------+-------+ | Blues | 3 | | Country | 1 | | Jazz | 2 | | New Age | 2 | | Rock | 1 | +----------+-------+ 5 rows in set (0.02 sec) */ What I need is basically a result set resembles this one: /* +----------+-------+-----------------------------+ | Category | Total | percentage to the all items | (Note that number of all available items is "9") +----------+-------+-----------------------------+ | Blues | 3 | 33 | (3/9)*100 | Country | 1 | 11 | (1/9)*100 | Jazz | 2 | 22 | (2/9)*100 | New Age | 2 | 22 | (2/9)*100 | Rock | 1 | 11 | (1/9)*100 +----------+-------+-----------------------------+ 5 rows in set (0.02 sec) */ How can I achieve such a result set in a single query? Thanks in advance.

  • Core data relationship memory leak

    - by cfihelp
    I have a strange (to me) memory leak when accessing an entity in a relationship. Series and Tiles have an inverse relationship to each other. // set up the fetch request NSFetchRequest *fetchRequest = [[NSFetchRequest alloc] init]; NSEntityDescription *entity = [NSEntityDescription entityForName:@"Series" inManagedObjectContext:managedObjectContext]; [fetchRequest setEntity:entity]; // grab all of the series in the core data store NSError *error = nil; availableSeries = [[NSArray alloc] initWithArray:[managedObjectContext executeFetchRequest:fetchRequest error:&error]]; [fetchRequest release]; // grab one of the series Series *currentSeries = [availableSeries objectAtIndex:1]; // load all of the tiles attached to the series through the relationship NSArray *myTiles = [currentSeries.tile allObjects]; // 16 byte leak here! • How to migrate project from RCS to git? (SOLVED)

    - by Norman Ramsey
    I have a 20-year-old project that I would like to migrate from RCS to git, without losing the history. All web pages suggest that the One True Path is through CVS. But after an hour of Googling and trying different scripts, I have yet to find anything that successfully converts my RCS project tree to CVS. I'm hoping the good people at Stackoverflow will know what actually works, as opposed to what is claimed to work and doesn't. (I searched Stackoverflow using both the native SO search and a Google search, but if there's a helpful answer in the database, I missed it.) UPDATE: The rcs-fast-export tool at http://git.oblomov.eu/rcs-fast-export was repaired on 14 April 2009, and this version seems to work for me. This tool converts straight to git with no intermediate CVS. Thanks Giuseppe and Jakub!!! Things that did not work that I still remember: The rcs-to-cvs script that ships in the contrib directory of the CVS sources The rcs-fast-export tool at http://git.oblomov.eu/rcs-fast-export in versions before 13 April 2010 The rcs2cvs script found in a document called "CVS-RCS- HOW-TO Document for Linux"

  • Flex - Flash Builder Design View not showing embedded fonts correctly

    - by Crusader
    Tools: Air 2, Flex SDK 4.1, Flash Builder, Halo component set (NO Spark being used at all) Fonts work perfectly when running the appliction, but not in design view. This effectively makes design view WORTHLESS because it's impossible to properly position components or labels without knowing what the true size is (it changes depending on font...) ... CSS included in root component like so: <fx:Style source="style.css"/> CSS file: /* CSS file */ @namespace mx "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx"; global { font-family:Segoe; font-size:14; color:#FFFFFF; } mx|Application, mx|VBox, mx|HBox, mx|Canvas { font-family:Segoe; background-color:#660000; border-color:#222277; color:#FFFFFF; } mx|Button { font-family:Segoe; fill-colors:#660000, #660000, #660000, #660000; color:#FFFFFF; } .... Interestingly (or buggily?), when I try pasting the style tag into a subcomponent (lower than the top level container), I get a bunch of warnings in the subcomponent editor view stating that CSS type selectors are not supported in.. (all the components in the style sheet). Yet, they do work when the application is executed. Huh? This is how I'm embedding the fonts in the root level container: [Embed(source="/assets/segoepr.ttf", fontName="Segoe", mimeType="application/x-font-truetype", embedAsCFF='false')] public static const font:Class; [Embed(source="/assets/segoeprb.ttf", fontName="Segoe", mimeType="application/x-font-truetype", fontWeight="bold", embedAsCFF='false')] public static const font2:Class; So, is there a way to get embedded fonts to work in design view or what?

  • How do I intiailize the vector I have defined in my header file?

    - by FrankTheTank
    I have the following in my Puzzle.h class Puzzle { private: vector<int> puzzle; public: Puzzle() : puzzle (16) {} bool isSolved(); void shuffle(vector<int>& ); }; and then my Puzzle.cpp looks like: Puzzle::Puzzle() { // Initialize the puzzle (0,1,2,3,...,14,15) for(int i = 0; i <= puzzle.size(); i++) { puzzle[i] = i; } } // ... other methods Am I using the initiailizer list wrong in my header file?   • Matlab-Bisection-Newton-Secant , finding roots?

    - by i z
    Hello and thanks in advance for your possible help ! Here's my problem: I have 2 functions f1(x)=14.*x*exp(x-2)-12.*exp(x-2)-7.*x.^3+20.*x.^2-26.*x+12 f2(x)=54.*x.^6+45.*x.^5-102.*x.^4-69.*x.^3+35.*x.^2+16.*x-4 Make the graph for those 2, the first one in [0,3] and the 2nd one in [-2,2]. Find the 3 roots with accuracy of 6 decimal digits using a) bisection ,b) newton,c)secant.For each root find the number of iterations that have been made. For Newton-Raphson, find which roots have quadratic congruence and which don't. What is the main common thing that roots with no quadratic congruence (Newton's method)? Why ? Excuse me if i ask silly things, but i'm asked to do this with no Matlab courses and I'm trying to learn it myself. There are many issues i have with this exercise . Questions : 1.I only see 2 roots in the graph for the f1 function and 4-5 (?) roots for the function f2 and not 3 roots as the exercise says. Here's the 2 graphs : http://postimage.org/image/cltihi9kh/ http://postimage.org/image/gsn4sg97f/ Am i wrong ? Do both have only 3 roots in [0,3] and [-2,2] ? Concerning the Newton's method , how am i supposed to check out which roots have quadratic congruence and which not??? Accuracy means tolerance e=10^(-6), right ?

  • Member initialization while using delegated constructor

    - by Anton
    I've started trying out the C++11 standard and i found this question which describes how to call your ctor from another ctor in the same class to avoid having a init method or the like. Now i'm trying the same thing with code that looks like this: hpp: class Tokenizer { public: Tokenizer(); Tokenizer(std::stringstream *lines); virtual ~Tokenizer() {}; private: std::stringstream *lines; }; cpp: Tokenizer::Tokenizer() : expected('=') { } Tokenizer::Tokenizer(std::stringstream *lines) : Tokenizer(), lines(lines) { } But this is giving me the error: In constructor ‘config::Tokenizer::Tokenizer(std::stringstream*)’: /path/Tokenizer.cpp:14:20: error: mem-initializer for ‘config::Tokenizer::lines’ follows constructor delegation I've tried moving the Tokenizer() part first and last in the list but that didn't help. What's the reason behind this and how should i fix it? I've tried moving the lines(lines) to the body with this->lines = lines; instead and it works fine. But i would really like to be able to use the initializer list. Thanks in advance!

  • Font not showing bullet points

    - by Hanpan
    I have embedded my font using the embed meta tag, along which the entire range of Unicode characters... here is my CustomTextField class: [Embed(source='../assets/fonts/Arial.ttf',fontName='CustomFont',fontWeight='regular', unicodeRange='U+0020-U+0040,U+0041-U+005A,U+005B-U+0060,U+0061-U+007A,U+007B-U+007E,U+0080-U+00FF,U+0100-U+017F,U+0400-U+04FF,U+0370-U+03FF,U+1E00-U+1EFF', mimeType='application/x-font-truetype' )] public static var MY_FONT:Class; [Embed(source='../assets/fonts/Arial Bold.ttf',fontName='CustomFont',fontWeight='bold', unicodeRange='U+0020-U+0040,U+0041-U+005A,U+005B-U+0060,U+0061-U+007A,U+007B-U+007E,U+0080-U+00FF,U+0100-U+017F,U+0400-U+04FF,U+0370-U+03FF,U+1E00-U+1EFF', mimeType='application/x-font-truetype' )] public static var MY_FONT_BOLD:Class; public static const DEFAULT_FONT:String = "CustomFont"; public static const DEFAULT_TEXT_COLOUR:int = 0x000000; public static const DEFAULT_TEXT_SIZE:int = 14; private var _tf:TextFormat = new TextFormat(DEFAULT_FONT, DEFAULT_TEXT_SIZE, DEFAULT_TEXT_COLOUR); public function CustomTextField():void { Font.registerFont(CustomTextField.MY_FONT); Font.registerFont(CustomTextField.MY_FONT_BOLD); _tf.size = 16; antiAliasType = AntiAliasType.ADVANCED; sharpness = 0; defaultTextFormat = _tf; autoSize = TextFieldAutoSize.LEFT; embedFonts = true; } public override function set htmlText(value:String):void { super.htmlText = value; setTextFormat(_tf); } For some reason, using tags intends the text perfectly, but I am not seeing any bullet points. The font is just standard Arial, so it isn't a case of the font missing the bullet character. Does anyone have any idea as to why Flex is not showing the bullet point characters?

  • Can't place a breakpoint in asp.net master page file

    - by Tony_Henrich
    I have an MVC web application. I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error in line 16 below. It's a master page file. When I try to place a breakpoint in that line or anywhere in the file, I get a "this is not a valid location for a breakpoint" error. I have clicked on every line and I can't place a single breakpoint. I do have lines which have code only. How do I place a breakpoint in this file? Note: I can place breakpoints in code files. In some other aspx files, I can place a breakpoint in some code lines and some not. Does the inline code have to be in a special format to place a breakpoint? Using VS 2010 in Windows 7 64bit. Code: Line 14: <div id="<%= Model.PageWidth %>" class="<%= Model.PageTemplate %>"> Line 15: <div id="hd"> Line 16: <h1><a href="/"><%= Model.Workspace.Title %></a></h1> Line 17: <h2><%= Model.Workspace.Subtitle %></h2> Line 18: </div>

  • Rails - Logic for finding info from a :has_many :through needed!

    - by Jty.tan
    I have 3 relevant tables. User, Orders, and Viewables The idea is that each User has got many Orders, but at the same time, each User can View specific other Orders that belong to other Users. So Viewables has the attributes of user_id and order_id. Orders has a :has_many :Users, :through => :viewables Is it possible to do a find through an Order's view? So something like @viewable_orders = Orders.find(:all, :conditions = ["Viewable.user_id=?",1]) To get a list of Orders which are viewable by user_id=1. (This doesn't work, else I won't be asking. :( ) The idea being that I can do something like a sidebar where the current user (the logged-in one) can view a list of other people's orders that he can view. For example Three other Users who have some Orders that he can view should be eventually displayed like this: Jack (2) Basic Order (registry_id: 1) New Order (registry_id: 29) Amy (4) Short Order (registry_id: 12) Jill (5) Hardware Order (14) Pink Order (17) Software Order (76) (The number in brackets are the respective user_id or registry_id) So to find the list of all of the orders that the current user can find (assuming user_id of the current user is 1), would be found by doing @viewable_orders = Viewable.find(:all, :conditions => ["user_id=?", 1]) And that would give me the collection of the above 6 registries. Now, the easiest way to do this, is for me to just have a list of + Jill's Hardware Order + Jill's Pink Order + Amy's Short Order + etc But that gets ugly for long lists. Thanks!

  • Full text index requires dropping and recreating - why?

    - by Amjid Qureshi
    Hi all, So I've got a web app running on .net 3.5 connected to a SQL 2005 box. We do scheduled releases every 2 weeks. About 14 tables out of 250 are full text indexed. After not every release, but a few too many, the indexes crap out. They seem to have data in there, but when we try to search them from the front end or SQL enterprise we get timeouts/hangs. We have a script that disables the indexes, drops them, deletes the catalog and then re creates the indexes. This fixes the problem 99 times out of 100. and the one other time, we run the script again and it all works We have tried just rebuilding the fulltext index but that doesn't fix the issue. My question is why do we have to do this ? what can we do to sort the index out? Here is a bit of the script, IF EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sys.fulltext_indexes fti WHERE fti.object_id = OBJECT_ID(N'[dbo].[Address]')) ALTER FULLTEXT INDEX ON [dbo].[Address] DISABLE GO IF EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sys.fulltext_indexes fti WHERE fti.object_id = OBJECT_ID(N'[dbo].[Address]')) DROP FULLTEXT INDEX ON [dbo].[Address] GO IF EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sysfulltextcatalogs ftc WHERE ftc.name = N'DbName.FullTextCatalog') DROP FULLTEXT CATALOG [DbName.FullTextCatalog] GO -- may need this line if we get an error BACKUP LOG SMS2 WITH TRUNCATE_ONLY CREATE FULLTEXT CATALOG [DbName.FullTextCatalog] ON FILEGROUP [FullTextCatalogs] IN PATH N'F:\Data' AS DEFAULT AUTHORIZATION [dbo] CREATE FULLTEXT INDEX ON [Address](CommonPlace LANGUAGE 'ENGLISH') KEY INDEX PK_Address ON [DbName.FullTextCatalog] WITH CHANGE_TRACKING AUTO go

  • Excel VBA: Passing a collection from a class to a module issue

    - by Martin
    Hello, I have been trying to return a collection from a property within a class to a routine in a normal module. The issue I am experiencing is that the collection is getting populated correctly within the property in the class (FetchAll) but when I pass the collection back to the module (Test) all the entries are populated with the last item in the list. This is the Test sub-routine in the standard module: Sub Test() Dim QueryType As New QueryType Dim Item Dim QueryTypes As Collection Set QueryTypes = QueryType.FetchAll For Each Item In QueryTypes Debug.Print Item.QueryTypeID, _ Left(Item.Description, 4) Next Item End Sub This is the FetchAll property in the QueryType class: Public Property Get FetchAll() As Collection Dim RS As Variant Dim Row As Long Dim QTypeList As Collection Set QTypeList = New Collection RS = .Run ' populates RS with a record set from a database (as an array), ' some code removed ' goes through the array and sets up objects for each entry For Row = LBound(RS, 2) To UBound(RS, 2) Dim QType As New QueryType With QType .QueryTypeID = RS(0, Row) .Description = RS(1, Row) .Priority = RS(2, Row) .QueryGroupID = RS(3, Row) .ActiveIND = RS(4, Row) End With ' adds new QType to collection QTypeList.Add Item:=QType, Key:=CStr(RS(0, Row)) Debug.Print QTypeList.Item(QTypeList.Count).QueryTypeID, _ Left(QTypeList.Item(QTypeList.Count).Description, 4) Next Row Set FetchAll = QTypeList End Property This is the output I get from the debug in FetchAll: 1 Numb 2 PBM 3 BPM 4 Bran 5 Claw 6 FA C 7 HNW 8 HNW 9 IFA 10 Manu 11 New 12 Non 13 Numb 14 Repo 15 Sell 16 Sms 17 SMS 18 SWPM This is the output I get from the debug in Test: 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM 18 SWPM Anyone got any ideas? • Beginner python - stuck in a loop

    - by Jeremy
    I have two begininer programs, both using the 'while' function, one works correctly, and the other gets me stuck in a loop. The first program is this; num=54 bob = True print('The guess a number Game!') while bob == True: guess = int(input('What is your guess? ')) if guess==num: print('wow! You're awesome! but don't worry, you still suck game over However, I also have this program, which doesn't work; #define vars a = int(input('Please insert a number: ')) b = int(input('Please insert a second number: ')) #try a function def func_tim(a,b): bob = True while bob == True: if a == b: print('nice and equal') bob = False elif b > a: print('b is picking on a!') else: print('a is picking on b!') #call a function func_tim(a,b) Which outputs; Please insert a number: 12 Please insert a second number: 14 b is picking on a! b is picking on a! b is picking on a! ...(repeat in a loop).... Can someone please let me know why these programs are different? Thank you!

  • Java Swing NullPointerException when drawing

    - by juFo
    I'm using a custom JLayeredPane. I have several Shapes which needed to be drawn on different layers in the JLayeredPane. To test this I create a JPanel and ask its graphics. Then I draw a test rectangle on that JPanel (preparing the graphics) and in my paintComponent method from the JLayeredPane I finally draw everything. But this fails (NullPointerException). public class MyCustomPanel extends JLayeredPane { // test JPanel testpane; Graphics g2; // test // constructor public MyCustomPanel() { testpane = new JPanel(); this.add(testpane, new Integer(14)); g2 = testpane.getGraphics(); } @Override public void paintComponent(Graphics g) { super.paintComponent(g); g2.drawRect(10, 10, 300, 300); } } // run: //Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NullPointerException // at view.MyCustomPanel.paintComponent(MyCustomPanel.java:65) Why can't I draw on such a JPanel from within my JLayeredPane? I can draw directly on my JLayeredPane from within my paintComponent method but that's on the default Panel from the JLayeredPane. I need to create and draw on several layers which are added in my JLayeredPane. What am I doing wrong? :s

  • How to quickly generate a new string hash after concatenating 2 strings

    - by philcolbourn
    If my math is right, I can quickly generate a new hash value for the concatenation of two strings if I already have the individual hash values for each string. But only if the hash function is of the form: hash(n) = k * hash(n-1) + c(n), and h(0) = 0. In this case, hash( concat(s1,s2) ) = k**length(s2) * hash(s1) + hash(s2) eg. h1 = makeHash32_SDBM( "abcdef", 6 ); h2 = makeHash32_SDBM( "ghijklmn", 8 ); h12 = makeHash32_SDBM( "abcdefghijklmn", 14 ); hx = mod32_powI( 65599, 8 ) * h1 + h2; h1 = 2534611139 h2 = 2107082500 h12 = 1695963591 hx = 1695963591 Note that h12 = hx so this demonstrates the idea. Now, for the SDBM hash k=65599. Whereas the DJB hash has k=33 (or perhaps 31?) and h(0) = 5381 so to make it work you can set h(0) = 0 instead. But a modification on the DJB hash uses xor instead of + to add each character. http://www.cse.yorku.ca/~oz/hash.html Is there another technique to quickly calculate the hash value of concatenated strings if the hash function uses xor instead of +?

  • New CATransform3DMakeRotation deletes old transformation?!

    - by david
    I added a CATransform3DMakeRotation to a layer. When I add another one it deletes the old one? The first one: [UIView beginAnimations:@"rotaty" context:nil]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:0.5]; [UIView setAnimationDelegate:self]; CGAffineTransform transform = CGAffineTransformMakeRotation(-3.14); kuvert.transform = CGAffineTransformRotate(transform, DegreesToRadians(134)); kuvert.center = CGPointMake(kuvert.center.x-70, kuvert.center.y+100); [UIView commitAnimations]; and the second one: CABasicAnimation *topAnim = [CABasicAnimation animationWithKeyPath:@"transform"]; topAnim.duration=1; topAnim.repeatCount=0; topAnim.fromValue = [NSValue valueWithCATransform3D:CATransform3DMakeRotation(0.0, 0, 0, 0)]; float f = DegreesToRadians(180); // -M_PI/1; topAnim.toValue=[NSValue valueWithCATransform3D:CATransform3DMakeRotation(f, 0,1, 0)]; topAnim.delegate = self; topAnim.removedOnCompletion = NO; topAnim.fillMode = kCAFillModeBoth; [topAnim setValue:@"flippy" forKey:@"AnimationName"]; [[KuvertLasche layer] addAnimation:topAnim forKey:@"flippy"]; The second one resets the view and applies itself after that. How do I fix this??

  • Why is iPdb not displaying STOUT after my input?

    - by BryanWheelock
    I can't figure out why ipdb is not displaying stout properly. I'm trying to debug why a test is failing and so I attempt to use ipdb debugger. For some reason my Input seems to be accepted, but the STOUT is not displayed until I (c)ontinue. Is this something broken in ipdb? It makes it very difficult to debug a program. Below is an example ipdb session, notice how I attempt to display the values of the attributes with: user.is_authenticated() user_profile.reputation user.is_superuser The results are not displayed until 'begin captured stdout ' In [13]: !python manage.py test Creating test database... < SNIP remove loading tables nosetests ...E.. /Users/Bryan/work/APP/forum/auth.py(93)can_retag_questions() 92 import ipdb; ipdb.set_trace() ---> 93 return user.is_authenticated() and ( 94 RETAG_OTHER_QUESTIONS <= user_profile.reputation < EDIT_OTHER_POSTS or user.is_authenticated() user_profile.reputation user.is_superuser c F /Users/Bryan/work/APP/forum/auth.py(93)can_retag_questions() 92 import ipdb; ipdb.set_trace() ---> 93 return user.is_authenticated() and ( 94 RETAG_OTHER_QUESTIONS <= user_profile.reputation < EDIT_OTHER_POSTS or c .....EE...... I see my test progress .... , and then nothing and not responsive to keyboard input. Is this a problem with readline?

  • Backwards compatibility when using Core Data

    Could anybody shed some light as to why is my app crashing with the following error on iPhone OS 2.2.1 dyld: Symbol not found: _OBJC_CLASS_$_NSPredicate Referenced from: /var/mobile/Applications/456F243F-468A-4969-9BB7-A4DF993AE89C/AppName.app/AppName Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/Foundation.framework/Foundation I have weak linked CoreData.framework, and have the Base SDK set to 3.0 and Deployment Target set to SDK 2.2 The app already uses other 3.0 features when available and I did not have any problems with those. But apparently the backward-compatibility methods used for other features do not work with Core Data. The app crashes before app delegate's applicationDidFinishLaunching gets called. • Comparing two date ranges within the same table

    - by Danny Herran
    I have a table with sales per store as follows: SQL> select * from sales; ID ID_STORE DATE TOTAL ---------- -------- ---------- -------------------------------------------------- 1 1 2010-01-01 500.00 2 1 2010-01-02 185.00 3 1 2010-01-03 135.00 4 1 2009-01-01 165.00 5 1 2009-01-02 175.00 6 5 2010-01-01 130.00 7 5 2010-01-02 135.00 8 5 2010-01-03 130.00 9 6 2010-01-01 100.00 10 6 2010-01-02 12.00 11 6 2010-01-03 85.00 12 6 2009-01-01 135.00 13 6 2009-01-02 400.00 14 6 2009-01-07 21.00 15 6 2009-01-08 45.00 16 8 2009-01-09 123.00 17 8 2009-01-10 581.00 17 rows selected. What I need to do is to compare two date ranges within that table. Lets say I need to know the differences in sales between 01 Jan 2009 to 10 Jan 2009 AGAINST 01 Jan 2010 to 10 Jan 2010. I'd like to build a query that returns something like this: ID_STORE_A DATE_A TOTAL_A ID_STORE_B DATE_B TOTAL_B ---------- ---------- --------- ---------- ---------- ------------------- 1 2010-01-01 500.00 1 2009-01-01 165.00 1 2010-01-02 185.00 1 2009-01-02 175.00 1 2010-01-03 135.00 1 NULL NULL 5 2010-01-01 130.00 5 NULL NULL 5 2010-01-02 135.00 5 NULL NULL 5 2010-01-03 130.00 5 NULL NULL 6 2010-01-01 100.00 6 2009-01-01 135.00 6 2010-01-02 12.00 6 2009-01-02 400.00 6 2010-01-03 85.00 6 NULL NULL 6 NULL NULL 6 2009-01-07 21.00 6 NULL NULL 6 2009-01-08 45.00 6 NULL NULL 8 2009-01-09 123.00 6 NULL NULL 8 2009-01-10 581.00 So, even if there are no sales in one range or another, it should just fill the empty space with NULL. So far, I've come up with this quick query, but I the "dates" from sales to sales2 sometimes are different in each row: SELECT sales.*, sales2.* FROM sales LEFT JOIN sales AS sales2 ON (sales.id_store=sales2.id_store) WHERE sales.date >= '2010-01-01' AND sales.date <= '2010-01-10' AND sales2.date >= '2009-01-01' AND sales2.date <= '2009-01-10' ORDER BY sales.id_store ASC, sales.date ASC, sales2.date ASC What am I missing?
