• JQuery dirtyForm not working on text boxes in ajaxToolkit:TabPanel

  I'm a newb to jQ so please forgive my ignorance. I'm using Asa Wilson's plugin jquery.dirtyform.js to prompt a user of unsaved changes before they nav away from a page (ASP.Net C# 3.5). It basically loops through all controls and appends a class and handler to each input. Controls w/i an ajaxToolkit:TabPanel are ignored, unfortunately. I'd appreciate if anyone knows of this type of error and how to resolve it short of manually manipulating each control (as I have this logic in the master page). Thank you.

• How to get SpecFlow working with xUnit.net as the test runner

  I'm trying to use xUnit.net as the test runner for SpecFlow. The SpecFlow 1.2 binaries from the official download area don't contain an xUnit.net provider but the master branch on GitHub has one, so I build SpecFlow.Core.dll from that. I'm using xUnit.net 1.5. However, when I change the unitTestProvider name in the app.config in my spec project, I get a null reference custom tool error and the generated .feature.cs file is the single line: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Has anyone succeeded in getting SpecFlow to work with xUnit.net? If so, how?

• UISplitViewController, animating views

  Hello, I'm trying to animate my detail view controller to transition with a page curl (up/down). I'm trying to achieve a similar effect as the Notes application on the iPad, this transition was also reproduced by CulturedCode in their Things application for iPad. My problem is that the animation is clipped to the bounds of the Detail View Controller, it doesn't animate into the Master View Controller, therefore limiting the effect. I see that Apple and CulturedCode managed to make this happen, but I'm stumped. I've tried the following solutions: self.splitViewController.view.clipToBounds = False; self.view.clipToBounds = False; self.tableView.clipToBounds = False; The only other solution I can think of is discarding the UISplitViewController altogether and creating my own VC programmatically that will mimic the UISVC behavior so that both of the views (former separate view controllers) will share the same Super View.   I'm developing a line drawing game, similar to Flight Control, Harbor Master, and others in the appstore, using Cocos2D. For this game, I need a CCSprite to follow a line that the user has drawn. I'm storing a sequence of CGPoint structs in an NSArray, based on the points I get in the touchesBegin and touchesMoved messages. I now have the problem of how to make my sprite follow them. I have a tick method, that is called at the framerate speed. In that tick method, based on the speed and current position of the sprite, I need to calculate its next position. Is there any standard way to achieve this? My current approach is calculate the line between the last "reference point" and the next one, and calculate the next point in that line. The problem I have is when the sprite "turns" (moves from one segment of the line to another). Any hint will be greatly appreciated.

• How to get --detect-branches to work with git-p4?

  My p4 repository has a structure similar to: //depot/project/branch1 //depot/project/branch2 //depot/project/branch3 ... etc However, when I use git-p4 to clone "project", all 3 branches are not considered as branches and all get cloned into the single master branch. This is how I'm invoking git-p4: git-p4 clone --detect-branches //depot/project I was expecting git-p4 to create a git database for "project" with three branches, and the root of the project would be mapped to the portion of the path after the branch name (for example: if //depot/project/branch1 has a subdirectory called "lib" (//depot/project/branch1/lib) then my local file system should be something like /git_project/lib with 3 git branches). Is what I'm expecting wrong? Am I invoking git-p4 incorrectly?

• How can I export images from MS SQL Server to a file on disk?

  I have a User table that has all of their avatars saved in an image field. I'd like to just take that out of the database and store it as a regular file on disk. I looked around and saw some code for textcopy, but that doesn't seem to be on my machine for some reason. Here is the code I wrote up anyway. Anyone know a way to get this done?   I am developing a website in MVC 2.0. I want to change the View folder location in my website. I wanted to keep the views folder inside other folders, When I try to do so i am getting following errors The view 'Index' or its master was not found. The following locations were searched: ~/Views/Search/Index.aspx ~/Views/Search/Index.ascx ~/Views/Shared/Index.aspx ~/Views/Shared/Index.ascx Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. My Views folder will be in ~/XYZ/ABC/Views instead of ~/Views. Please solve my problem. Will I get any problems If I change the default Views folder location.   Hi all, I am developing a tab-based iPad application in which corresponding to each tab, I have to show an UISplitViewController . I have done this by adding two navigation controllers to my tabBarController and assigning a subclass of UISplitViewController as RootViewController of both navigationController. And also I have to show both viewControllers(Master and Detail) in both modes(Potrait and Landscape). For this I have constructed a subclass of UISplitViewController in which i am overriding willAnimateRotationToInterfaceOrientation method and setting the frame of both ViewControllers as demonstrated in this link. However i am not able to set both viewControllers correctly.If my app starts in Landscape mode everything displays fine but if i open it in Potrait mode then the orientation of both ViewControllers changes. Sometimes the MasterView occupies the entire screen or sometimes both ViewControllers appear leaving a black line between them and the navigationBar. I have been banging my head over this problem since two days without any success. kindly help..

• Removing Divider Line from UISplitViewController

  Guys, I know a similar question exists but the thread seems to be inactive, and I really would like this question to be answered. It's been annoying me for a few days now. I'm wondering how to remove the divider line between the Master and Detail view in the UISplitViewController. I know its possible to remove/hide/cover it up because I see some apps in the store without that line. I have tried setting backgroundColor to clearColour on my views but to no avail.   Hi Rails'ers, I encountered some problem while trying to translate my model's names and attributes in a Rails 2.3.5 app. I have the following model: class BillingPlan < ActiveRecord::Base validates_presence_of :billing_option_id belongs_to :order belongs_to :user belongs_to :billing_option end When validation fails, my models attributes are translated correctly, but the modelname itself is not.   I have a local branch foo that started life as a branch off of master. Then I pushed it to my remote, and it's now happily living life with its siblings in remotes/origin I want pull to automatically pull from remotes/origin/foo, and I want status -sb to show me how many changes I am ahead of remotes/origin/foo. I thought the way to do this was git config branch.foo.merge 'refs/heads/foo' However, after doing that, I get this message: ? git status -sb ## foo ? git pull Your configuration specifies to merge with the ref 'foo' from the remote, but no such ref was fetched. What am I doing wrong?

• Where do you store the private key for your code signing certificate?

  I recently acquired a code signing certificate for my employer, but I am not the InstallShield developer who will sign the binaries before distribution. I know I can export the certificate along with its private key, but where do I store it so the InstallShield developer can install it on his machine? Should I remove it from my machine once I give it to the person doing the signing? Where do I store the master copy? Obviously, source control is not the best place, unless I lock down that directory in SVN.

I want to use ScriptManager.RegisterPostBackControl(button). I have a ScriptManager on a master page. I don't know how to access the ScriptManager in userControl2 to register the button in the Page_Load event. So, How can I do this?

• Need to merge multiple pdf's into a single PDF with Table Of Contents sections

  Will have 50-100 single PDF's that we'll be generating with a php script. PDF's are generally grouped into groups of 10-20. Each group needs to have it's own Table of Contents or Index, and then there also needs to be a Master Table of Contents or Index at the beginning. Or if that is too difficult we could get away with a single Table of Contents at the beginning. What's the best way to go about this? Will we need to create the Table of Contents and then export that to PDF and append it to the beginning and mash the rest of the files after that? Or is there a better solution? And what's the best tool for us to merge the pdf's? Will be running on a Linux server.

A handful fails with the "Exception occured when calling into BIL connector for import from non master data source" message in the crawl log, though The ULS logs reveal the following information: Exception Profile Import: Exception occured when importing user: '[redacted]\[redacted]'. Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.PropertyInvalidValueException: Invalid Property Value: Could not find SID corresponding to input account name I have confirmed that the user has a sharepoint profile matching the username is a valid domain user exists in AD Can anyone help med troubleshoot this?

• Clean stop of Python bottle webserver when started from subprocess

  Hello all, I would like to embed the great Bottle web framework into a small application (1st target is Windows OS). This app starts the bottle webserver thanks to the subprocess module. import subprocess p = subprocess.Popen('python websrv.py') The bottle app is quite simple @route("/") def index(): return template('index') run(reloader=True) It starts the default webserver into a Windows console. All seems Ok except the fact that I must press Ctrl-C to close the bottle webserver. I would like that the master app terminates the webserver when it shutdowns. I can't find a way to do that (p.terminate() doesn't work in this case unfortunately) Any idea? Thanks in advance

  I cloned a project from github over to my desktop. I used to work on it form my laptop. However, on laptop heroku does not seem to work for this app eventhough i have it installed. First problem: heroku open >No app specified. >Run this command from app folder or set it adding --app <app name> I did not have to specify the --app on my laptop. Because I guess I did command heroku create initially on the lapop. Second Probelm: git push heroku master gives errors fatal: 'heroku' does not appear to be a git repository fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly and heroku list says !   My original idea about apply-imports was that if there are two templates which matches the same node, then using apply-imports in a template with higher priority runs the template with the lower priority. But I recently find out that it's important how are imports organized. Two cases interests me particularly. Will apply imports work on a template which is imported in imported file (nested import)? How about a "sibling import" (master file imports two files with templates matching the same nodes) It seems to me that this is not clearly described in specification. Could someone provide authoritative guidelines? EDIT: I can try those cases on my own, but there is always a danger that it will be implementation specific behavior.

Now i want to use the ASP.net theme feature and put different CSS (for different colors) in the theme folder and in Global.asax i want check the user theme and render appropriate link element with the css. But my problem is, i am not able to access the Page element for adding the link in the page. • Routing with command controller and sub controllers without using areas

  How can I create a routing structure for a project management application where there are discrete controllers for all the relevant pieces such as TaskController, DocumentController etc and an Over arching controller. I would essentially like a structure like: http://server/Project/123/Task http://server/Project/123/Document I am using mvc1 so I have no access to areas etc. The project section will have a separate master page for project controllers such as task, document etc with a dfferent menu navigaton. • Databinding int32 to MaskedEditExtender enabled TextBox

  I have a master/detail scheme for editing an asp:GridView using an asp:DetailsView. One of my fields is for a phone number of type int64 (always 10 digits). I would like this field to always be displayed as (###)###-####. My issue is the first digit in the phone number is always truncated for my edit item field which I used a MaskedEditExtender to achieve the formatting. Here is my EditItemTemplate for the details view: <cc1:MaskedEditExtender TargetControlID="edtPROJ_Leader_Phone" Mask="(999)999-9999" runat="server" ClearMaskOnLostFocus="false" ClipboardEnabled="true" MaskType="Number" /> <asp:TextBox ID="edtPROJ_Leader_Phone" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("PROJ_Leader_Phone") %>' ></asp:TextBox> When my details view is displayed for editing, the text box displays(_23)456-7890 for the integer 1234567890. Also worth noting that if the property MaskType="Number" is removed, the textbox shows: (234)567-890_. I would of course have the textbox show (123)-546-67890 after binding.
