• Changing the content of a website completely, and SEO

  I have a blog running since like 10 months, which have 300 organic unique visitors daily, and now I will establish an eCommerce website on that domain. That means, I will delete all the content related to the blog. And publish new pages related to eCommerce using a different script. Content of the blog and the topic of eCommerce are also quite different. How should i do this change in terms of SEO? What should I expect in terms of Search Rankings, organic hit?

• Getting "System program problem detected" pops up regularly after dist-upgrade

  This started to happen immediately after I had rebooted the first time after doing a system upgrade to 12.04 from 11.10. It first starts with a dialogue that says "System program problem detected". Then when I try to hit 'report problem' not much happens. I am led through a dialogue that always ends up the problem cannot be solved. I am running a MacBook1,1 I am aware this is not a lot of information, however I'm not sure which information I need to publish and how should I obtain it to debug this problem. Here's a screenshot!

I had a really efficient way to do it in AS2, but it was really hacky, and I am guessing there are more efficient ways that do not rely on possibly unreliable hacks.   I use C++ to create windows games and now I want to step into another other OS like Android or iOS. I'm totally familiar with C++ so I tried to create app for iOS using objective C it was working awesome. However, I also want to publish games for Android but not by using Java. I don't want to create a single game 5-6 times for other platforms. Is their any way that if I create game for Windows then it will work in Android and iOS ? Or should I use Action Script 3.0? If I use action script 3.0, will it require Flash player to run the game in Windows, Android, iOS?

There is no sign of this in any of the code or project, the files on the server also have a change date when i last did the publish at 11 yesterday, so all the files on there look fine. I am using ASP.net and Umbraco 4.7.2 Does anyone have any ideas? thanks

  I'm creating a project on codeplex that uses Amazon Web Services and the AWS SDK for .NET Which licenses can I use? The SDK is released under Apache 2.0 license, so I assume my project can or should use the same. If I add another open source library released under a different license, do I need to find a license that is 'compatible' with both ie. one that has the same requirements for derivative works? My requirement is for a license that allows me to publish a derivative work from the AWS .NET SDK.   Once application is maximized (say "Cheese") how can I restore its size back to the original? Is it possible to drag-and-drop from one application to another application in Unity? If so, how can I do that? Suppose I have a Rhythmbox open and I would like to drag a picture from a Desktop location (actually where is it?) to Rhythmbox album art section in the lower left corner? Unity was poorly designed, IMHO.

  I was recently introduced to microsoft's tool that analyzes managed code assemblies called FxCop. It points out possible design, localization, performance, and security improvements against a pre defined set of rules (and also accepts custom rules). At first I was unsure how to go about using it as it seems to be aimed at software developers (.exe and .dll) . Its easy to get around this with the following steps: 1)Create a new folder (i.e C:\Code Analysis) 2)Publish your web application into the new folder 3)Open FxCop and add all the dll files from the newly created bin folder  to be scrutinized. It was not possible due to a changed dynamic loader location (https://wiki.linaro.org/OfficeofCTO/HardFloat/LinkerPathCallApr2012) I succeeded by creating the following symbolic link /lib/ld-linux.so.3 - /lib/ld-linuxarmhf.so.3 Is there a way to install a portability package instead? • Can casper use a squashfs in the initrd?

  I've built a very large initrd containing a full squashfs from a desktop image, and used it to boot a machine over PXE. Unfortunately, casper cannot seem to locate the squashfs, since it's not present on any of the block devices it scans. Is there some way I can force it to check the initrd, or point to a filesystem location there in the bootfrom parameter? I've tried using bootfrom=/ with the casper directory in the root of the initrd, and that didn't seem to work.

  I've become fairly competent as a programmer, but I would not say I am a master. I work independently, most as a hobby, although I have done some freelance PHP work. I tend to find myself dabbling in a lot of things: Java Android SDK, Arduino, game scripting, Lua, etc. I've reached the point where I want to start a real software project, but cannot think of a small enough project that allows me enough practice, while still being able to publish a decent piece of software in a reasonable amount of time, and build up a portfolio. More specifically, I was looking at Ubuntu development, in Python, using the Quickly toolset, which includes the PyGTK libraries. So the question is, what is the best way to come up with a small project that is still useful, as a starting point to a software development career?

• Photos - do I really need to look for the author and ask his permission when posting them on my site?

  When I find a photo somewhere on the internet, without any explicit information of whether I can re-publish it on my own website, without any hint of who is the owner/author of that photo, can I still do it? I'm puzzled here cause I've seen like millions of websites, often very big, that repost photos, most probably found via google and it's VERY unlikely they bothered to look for and contact the author of that photos. Is every one of that sites likely to be sued at any moment? What about the case of forums and content provided by users - there is virtually no way of prevention here.

A guy from Microsoft said that I need to find someone under whom I'd publish those apps. Where would I find somebody who'd be willing to register there and basically act as my publisher? I'm risking that he'd take my app earnings and disappear if it's not an honest person. What would the "publisher" risk by signing his name under my apps? Or are any of you willing to do it?
