  • How to add folder to assembly search path at runtime in .NET?

    My DLLs are loaded by a third-party application, which we can not customize. My assemblies have to be located in their own folder. I can not put them into GAC (my application has a requirement to be deployed using XCOPY). When the root DLL tries to load resource or type from another DLL (in the same folder), the loading fails (FileNotFound). Is it possible to add the folder where my DLLs are located to the assembly search path programmatically (from the root DLL)? I am not allowed to change the configuration files of the application.

  • Add widgets to custom WordPress sidebars on theme activation?

    I'm working on a WordPress 3.0 multi-site installation. Each new blog will use the same theme with slight modifications (a custom Thesis install, if it matters). I'm trying to automate the set-up process for each new blog as much as possible. To that end, I'd like to automatically add widgets to my custom sidebars and widget-enabled footers. It'd be even better if the widgets could have pre-set parameters/content, that I or the blog owner could then go into the Widgets panel and edit. I've searched high and low and haven't been able to figure out a way to make this work. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks so much!

  • How to add "loading" screen for UIWebView app each time new page is being loaded?

    I have an app that works with tabs and webview. I already have it setup to refresh the page assigned to a tab each time the item on tabbar is selected. My problem now is that it takes some time to load the page and it's impossible to say if the page being displayed is the old or refreshed one. What I want to do is add a "loading" screen (a simple image) which will be displayed until the refreshed page is loaded.     I have a PurchaseOrder model: public class PurchaseOrder { public string OrderNumber { get; set; } public string Customer { get; set; } public IList<LineItem> Lines { get; set; } } and a LineItem class: public class LineItem { public string PartNumber { get; set; } public int Quantity { get; set; } } What I want to do is on my view for the PurhcaseOrder Create action, I need a section for line items. The user should be able to add a new line, remove a line, then submit. One caveat is the PartNumber needs to be a dropdown list of valid parts. What can I do to accomplish what I'm looking for?

Please add a root view or layout to your document." and I noticed there is a new file generated called "activity_main.out.xml". What could I be doing wrong?

I want to enable Jira administrators to edit group memberships and have them syncronized inside Active Directory. This currently works but I needed to use a Domain Administrator service account in order to do this. The question is how can I do this without giving the entire Domain Administrator permission to the service account.

    I am developing an application that will be running behind the scenes in Windows and would like to put an icon in the system tray for troubleshooting purposes (simple way for users to tell if the app is running). There is no other UI for the application, and the icon does not need to have any functionality as of right now. All of the solutions I have found as of yet involve creating a form. I am wondering if there is a way to simply add a class to my current C# code that allows me to control the icon, rather than doing the whole 'make a form, set it to be invisible....' nonsense that seems to be the popular suggestion on the forums. Something along the lines of the way that UI control is done in say, Swing for Java. I would really appreciate any ideas! (Sorry if this is a n00b question...I haven't used C# before...)     I have a generated HTML file which has large blocks of text with span's sprinkled throughout it with generated class names: This <span class="21232">an example</span> of what <span class="332423"> I'm talking</span> about. There are span's with <span class="21232"> generated ID's </span>. Now, what I'm seeking to do, is if I hover over any of my spans, they will add a border to not only that span, but all other spans that share that same class. So, if I were to hover over the first span, it would wrap a border around "an example" and "generated ID's" because the first and third span share the same class name. I was pretty sure I couldn't do it in straight CSS. Is this possible using jQuery? If so, can anyone point me in the right direction for doing this as simply as possible?

    Theres a web page I'm making which content is very dynamic and so I'm building it from inside the backing bean. I would like to add a Java applet to the web page but I could not find the JSF component type to correspond to the <applet> tag. So My questions are - What is the JSF component type for an applet? How did you find it? (For similar future searches) Thanks! P.S - Just to be clear. An example: <h:PanelGroup> would be HtmlPanelGroup as a java object.

    i am retrieving different characters from a string by using thsi function and adding 5 to them to display the corresponding character for eg.   • How do I add jars needed to compile a maven project if they were never built with a pom?

    I'm just starting with maven, coming from years of working with Ant. I'm trying a basic task now, building a simple project that requires some libraries from a vendor. I have the jars in src\main\resources\VENDORNAME. When I run mvn compile it fails on compilation saying the libraries don't exist. I can't seem to add these as dependencies because I don't know their version number and as they are proprietary I can't find them in ibiblio or elsewhere. Without these Jars I can't compile my classes. Is there a way to use jars that didn't follow Maven's convention? I might not understand maven correctly, so any guidance is welcome. Much appreciated for any responses.

  • Formatting not retained in paste from Ditto (clipboard manager). Plain text pasted instead [Solved] Add supported types

    I'm trying to use Ditto on the Ditto documentation. If I were to copy the table of contents, then paste it (without Ditto) to the word processor, I get http://i.imgur.com/V1GU3.png, and the formatting is maintained. As as a result of the copy operation, the table of contents also goes into the Saved Items List (= History List = Lists the Clips saved from the Clipboard) in Ditto’s Main Window: I open a blank document to paste from Ditto instead of the default clipboard, and press either Ctrl-`, the default Ditto window activation Global Hot Key, or click the tray icon. From this point, I can do 3 things to close the Ditto window, and place the item on the clipboard (the default clipboard?). Select the item, and press Enter Put the cursor on the item, and double-click Select the item, and press Ctrl-c 1) and 2) send a right-click where the cursor is, after the Ditto window closes (presumably to have the paste option ready to access?): Ctrl-c just closes the Ditto window. Whichever method is used, the contents are pasted in what I believe is plain text: http://i.imgur.com/mQAZH.png How do I keep the formatting that the default clipboard keeps? Thanks.

  • In Outlook 2010, can you add "Categories" to the "New Email" Ribbon?

    I couldn't figure out how to do this in Outlook 2007, and I was hoping I could do it in Outlook 2010... I want the ability to quickly apply a category when composing a new email (typically a "Waiting For..." category) for things that need a response. It is possible to apply a category by clicking the "Options" ribbon, then the little arrow under the More Options section - but why can't I get the nice big "Categories" drop-down that's available in the "Tags" section of the main Outlook window. There are about a kabillion commands in the "Customize Ribbon" dialog box for the New Mail window, but I couldn't find anything about Categories. Should I just give up?

    Hi all, I've tried to figure out what Microsoft means by "Windows sockets" and it all seems very vague. Basically we have customers that sometimes try to set up workgroups with close to 10 Windows XP computers with drive and printer shares and we're worried that some of the non-Windows Ethernet devices on the network will cause issues with the inbound connection limit outlined here where only 10 inbound connections can be active at one time. For example, there is an Ethernet Caller ID device that broadcasts UDP packets to all computers, and a kitchen display system that likewise broadcasts UDP. They may also have incoming TCP packets for our custom online ordering module. Do these TCP/UDP connections count toward the inbound connection limit? I'm aware that Windows 7 has increased the limit to 20 but we might have future customers that will push that limit. Thanks in advance
