  • web applications tend to have a admin panel?

    i wonder if large web applications like twitter and facebook have admin panels to handle CRUD for users, posts, images, themes and so on just like in CMS like drupal? so programmers have to code the front for the regular users AND back for the administrators? if i develop an web application is it recommended that i also code the admin part? or is it unnecessary since i can handle all directly in mysql and by editing php scripts directly? share your thoughts! thanks

    Hi! I develop an eclipse plugin and I added an eclipse progress view to it. There is an stop button on the progress view and I want to create some kind of listener to handle the events of the chancel button, but I don't know how I can do it. I know the monitor has an isChancel() method, but I have to create come kind of listener to listen when user clicks the stop button, while the plugin works. Please give me some advice.     Hello, i need to build the same source tree twice, 1 - with normal cflags to build the project binary 2 - with cflags plus -fPIC to build a static library that would be some sort of SDK to develop project dynamic modules. Using only one Makefile, what is the best approach to accomplish this? It would be nice to do some sort of : all: $(OBJECTS) lib_rule: $(OBJECTS) CFLAGS += -fPIC .cpp.o: $(CC) -c $< -o $@ $(CFLAGS) But obviously it can't be done. Thanks

    I'm trying to develop an app using Django 1.1 on Webfaction. I'd like to get the IP address of the incoming request, but when I use request.META['REMOTE_ADDR'] it returns 127.0.0.1. There seems to be a number of different ways of getting the address, such as using HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR or plugging in some middleware called SetRemoteAddrFromForwardedFor. Just wondering what the best approach was?
