• asp.net regex to find anchor tags and replace their url

  Hi -i'm trying to find all the anchor tags and appending the href value with a variable. for example <a href="/page.aspx">link</a> will become <a href="/page.aspx?id=2"> <A hRef='http://www.google.com'><img src='pic.jpg'></a> will become <A hRef='http://www.google.com?id=2'><img src='pic.jpg'></a> I'm able to match all the anchor tags and href values using regex, then i manually replace the values using string.replace, however i dont think its the efficient way to do this. Is there a solution where i can use something like regex.replace(html,newurlvalue)

• Parallel Task In C#.net

  I have C#.net application. I wanted to run my application In Thread. But because of third party dll it dont allow to use application in multiThread. There is one object in thrid party dll ,which only allow to create instance at one time only. When i manually run application exe instnace multiple time & process my data it process successfully..(might because of each exe run with its application domain) Same thing i require to implement from C# code. for that i have created dll which can accessible by Type.GetTypeFromProgID()..but multiple dll instnace creating same problem. Is there any way i could achive manual parallelism through code to process same exe code in multiple application domain?

• Inverse relationship of two variables

  this one is maybe pretty stupid.. Or I am just exhausted or something, but I just cant seem to solve it.. Problem : two variables X and Y, value of Y is dependent on value of X. X can have values ranging from some value to some value (lets say from 0 to 250) and y can have different values (lets say from 0.1 to 1.0 or something..) - but it is inverse relatonship (what I mean is: if value of X is e.g. 250, then value of Y would be 0.1 and when X decreases up to 0, value of Y raises up to 1.0.. So how should I do it? lets say I have function: -- double computeValue (double X) { /computation/ return Y; } Also, is there some easy way to somehow make the scaling of the function not so linear? - For example when X raises, Y decreases slower at first but then more rapidly in the end.. (rly dont know how to say it but I hope you guys got it) Thanks in advance for this stupid question :/

• EntityFramework WCF issue

  Right now i'm doing some tests involving entityFramework and WCF. As I understand, the EntityObjects generated are DataContracts and so, they can be serialized to the client. In my example I have a "Country" entity wich has 1 "Currency" as a property, when I get a Country and try to send it to the client, it throws an exception saying the data cant be written. But, the thing is, if I Get a Currency (which has a collection of Countries) and dont load its countries, it does work. The client gets all the entities. So, as a summary: - I have an entity with another entity as a property and cant be serialized. - I have another entity with an empty list of properties and it is successfully serialized. Any ideas on how to make it work?

• How do I make PyScripter work? Says it cant find python26.dll

  I installed PyScript to try it out but it just wont start. It only gives me the error: "Error126: Could not open Dll "python26.dll" followed by: "Python could not be properly initialized. We must quit." I think this may have something to do with the PYTHONPATH but since I'm a newbie and dont know what it is or exactly what to put in the PYTHONPATH, after some googling, I ask here. Also, when I tried to install wxPython it was impossible becouse the PYTHONPATH could not be found.(Just a side note) I have installed ActivePython 2.6 and the PATH is set so I can access python in cmd.

  I have a function that needs to perfom two operations, one which finishes fast and one which takes a long time to run. I want to be able to delegate the long running operation to a thread and I dont care when the thread finishes, but the threads needs to complete. I implemented this as shown below , but, my secondoperation never gets done as the function exits after the start() call. It only needs to be called once. arrayoftextboxes.each(function(i){foo(arrayoftextboxes[i]);}); I tried arrayoftextboxes.load(function(){foo(this)}); and arrayoftextboxes.bind(function(){foo(this)}); but the functions dont seem to be called.

  Hi all. I have a rectangle in .NET in which I draw an ellipse. I know the width, height and center point of that rectangle. Ofcourse the cetner point of the rectangle is also the center point of the ellipse. I know how to calculate a point on a circle, however I have no clue about an ellipse. I have those parameters and an angle, i need the point on the ellipse, can someone post the formula? I saw somewhere you need to calculate 2 points in which 2 raduises will go, the sum of the radiuses will be fixed and they will change in size accordingly. I dont know how to do that, I only have the rectange height, width and center point and ofcourse the angle I wish to find the point at. thanks for any help Shlomi

• c++ Using const in a copy constructor?

  I have never written copy constructor, so in order to avoid pain i wanted to know if what i have coded is legit. It compiles but i am not sure that it works as a copy constructor should. Also do i have to use const in the copy constructor or i can simply drop it. • can't click on input element behind div element

  On my site: http://alsite.com.br/solalev/ I have some elements on the bottom of page that I can't click through. Above the elements is a div called push.. I use this div to make the footer always stay on the bottom of my page even when the content is smaller... (I dont know if I do this right.. but it has worked).. So.. on Chrome and Firefox I can't click.. but on IE this works.... I use this: .push{ pointer-events: none; } but nothing happens...

  Hi, I have a .htaccess redirect for "non www" like this: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L] it is working. But, i have also some subdomains other than www. If I call for example http://shop.example.com it redirects me to: http://www.shop.example.com I dont want to write the subdomains into the .htaccess file, it should work automatically, just ignore anything else than www and '' like this: if subdomain =='' -> redirect to www.HTTP_HOST.... elseif subdomain !='' && subdomain !='www' -> do nothing. thanks!

  I am using coredata framework. In my NSManagedObjectModel i am using three entities that are Class, Student and Score where class and student have one-to-many & inverse relationship and Student and Score have also inverse but one-one relationship. Score entity has all optional attributes and having default '0' decimalVaue, which is not assigned at the time new Student is added. But later i want to assign them score individually and also to particular attribute not all of score attributes in a go. I am able to create and add Students to particular Class but dont have any idea how to call particular student and assign them score. For example I want to assign Score'attribute "dribbling" [there are many attributes like "tackling"] a decimal value to Student "David" of Class "Soccer" ,how i can do that? • Showing same dfp ads in a single page web application

  I have a single page web application which contains dfp ads. I have two dfp adunits that Iam firing and they are placed in between the content which is a list of articles for a particular category. When I click on another category,it just loads articles for different category(doesnt change the url in address bar) and triggers the same ads. So this is like triggering the ads on the same page. The ads dont show up the second time and this is because you cant use the same adunits on the same page. Since I cannot use the refresh function provided by dfp since my DOM is reconstructed everytime, is there any way I can do this?.

• How to prevent maven to resolve dependencies in local repository

  Is there a way to tell maven (when doing mvn package, mvn site or ...) not to resolve the dependencies from the local repository? Background of this question: Sometimes I get into problems, when previously cached dependencies (e.g. SomeProject-0.7-ALPHA) are no longer available in the remote repository. In my local build everything still works fine as the dependency has been cached before. As soon as I share my pom with others, they may get into trouble, as they dont have a cached version of that dependency and the dependency can no longer be resolved from the remote repository. I have function from django.shortcuts import render_to_response def home(request): return render_to_response('home.html',{'test':'test'}) and i have simple template such as: <html> <body> my test == {{test}} </body> </html> When i open my site in browser, i have "my test == ". settings.py is default. I dont use something custom. What the problem? Server is apache with wsgi module.

• Get unique artist names from MPMediaQuery

  I am using MPMediaQuery to get all artists from library. Its returning unique names I guess but the problem is I have artists in my library like "Alice In Chains" and "Alice In Chains ". The second "Alice In Chains" has some white spaces at the end, so it returns both. I dont want that. Heres the code... • ARC, worth it or not?

  When I moved to Objective C (iOS) from C++ (and little Java) I had hard time understanding memory management in iOS. But now all this seems natural and I know retain, autorelease, copy and release stuff. After reading about ARC, I am wondering is there more benefits of using ARC or it is just that you dont have to worry about memory management. Before moving to ARC I wanted to know how worth is moving to ARC. XCode has "Convert to Objective C ARC" menu. Is the conversion is that simple (nothing to worry about)? Does it help me in reducing my apps memory foot-print, memory leaks etc (somehow ?) Does it has much testing impact on my apps ? What are non-obvious advantages? Any Disadvantage os moving to it?

• What database is a good progression from MS Access for Coldfusion?

  All my (home) CF learning has so far been done using Access as a database, and as far as the DB goes I "get it". There's no database server, and no need to log on to the database or anything, and setting up table relationships is easy and visual. Oh and its essentially free to deploy. However, I'm now working on an application that's likely to be used across several businesses and probably up to 50 concurrent users. I've heard that Access really isn't up to multi user use or production use on an app. What would you recommend as more suitable, preferably easy to grasp, with minimal tweeking needed for my SQL (I used a tool to convert to MySQL and it certainly handles concatenation differently, I dont want to have to do too much debugging), visual interface available, scalable, backupable, and whatever else I need that I don't yet know I need!

  hi, i have seen all the upload progress bar plugins , widgets, etc. they all suck. their either too bulky with too much useless code or they dont work. what i want to know is where can i read up on how to display an easy upload progress indicator. most browsers have a status progress bar on them below but it isnt very professional to use just that when dealing with clients. how does the browser do it? i want to know the internals of how the browser work with indication a status of something uploading and maybe i can make something using php & jquery. thanks
