• Debugging Post Request with Chrome Dev Tools

  I am trying to use Chrome Dev for debugging the following Angular post request : $http.post("http://picjboss.puma.lan:8880/fluxpousse/api/flow/createOrUpdateHeader", flowHeader) After running the statement with right-click / evaluate, I can see the post in the network panel with a pending state. How can I get the result or "commit" the request and leave easily this "pending" state from the dev console ? I am not yet very familiar with JS callbacks, some code is expected. Thanks.   Hi, I wonder is anyone can look at this code and tell me why calling the removeSelectedChild works when called from the same document, but returns the following error when called from the child document/component. This was the only way I could display it in a way that will be quick for you to compile and easy to focus on the real issue without background noise. • How do I restart mysql and where is my.cnf file

  I am using snow leopard mac. I installed mysql on my machine using instructions mentioned here. Everything works great. However I have two questions. 1) Where is my.cnf file? I searched the whole file system and result is empty. Is it possible that there is no my.cnf and mysql works with default values. If yes then probably I should create my.inf at /etc/mysql. Is that right? 2) How do I restar server. I know it gets started when I restart my machine. • What file format can I use to output a formatted text file straight from a program without having the markup be too complicated?

  Premise: I am parsing a file that is quite nearly XML, but not quite. From this file I would like to extract data and output in a file that a user could open up in some program and read. To make the data reasonable, I would almost certainly need to format the text. In case it matters, I will probably be using Java to write the program. Problem: I cannot find a file format that supports formatting without having terribly complex rules and encoding problems. Attempts: I looked into a basic .txt extension first, but it does not have enough formatting advantage. I then tried a .rtf extension, but the rules for outputting text seem to be terribly complicated. It was then suggested that I used XML, but I do not understand how this file would be viewed. This appears to be probably the best solution, but I don't understand much about it. Perhaps somebody could shed some light here. In Other Words: Could somebody suggest and easy to use file format and/or shed some light on how to use XML for text formatting and viewing?

The values for Name and Address are set correctly. However the value of set gets lost(since it is @XMLTransient it gets ignored) Is there any way of ensuring that it is still set in the object which has been unmarshalled? Some other annotation which I can use?

  Hi, i have a strange (?) error in my android application. I have defined some arrays in values/arrays.xml the following way: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <resources> <array name="perimeter"> <item>10 miles</item> <item>20 miles</item> <item>30 miles</item> </array> <array name="regvalues"> <item>1</item> <item>2</item> <item>3</item> </array> </resources> Now I want to use them in a ListPreference for a PreferenceActivity (defined by an xml file). So i set android:entries="@array/perimeter" android:entryValues="@array/regvalues" for this ListPreference. When I try to use this on my device the app crashes. (NullPointer in Dialog.close()) If I try to use the regvalues-items as Entries for the ListPreference i get a NullPointer in ArrayAdapter.createViewFromResource(int, View, ViewGroup, int) line: 355 So there seems to be sth wrong with the regvalues array. But what ?!? Eclipse shows me no errors at compile time. So everything in the xml-file and java-code is written correctly and there are no typos. Where is the problem?!?

• Play Video From Raw Folder

  Evening, I've just started programming with android and made a few programs and everything so I'm still kind of a novice but im trying to understand it all. So here's my problem, I'm trying to play a video, the thing is, I got it working when I Stream it from an URL with VideoView over the internet or when i place in on my sdcard. What I want to do now is play a video I've got in my res/raw folder, but it only plays audio and I don't understand why, it doesn't give any error in my logcat as far as I can see, also couldn't really find a solution with google since most of the answers are about VideoView and just put the video on your SDCard. Now someone told me I had to use setDisplay (SurfaceHolder) and I've also tried that but I still only get the audio. I hope somebody can help me to find a solution to this problem.   My app uses a StringBuilder to assemble paragraphs of text which are then displayed in a TextView within a ScrollView. For example, to display 50 paragraphs totalling about 50KB of text takes over 5 seconds just to execute those three lines of code. Can anyone suggest how I can speed this up, please?

• Downloading a webpage in C# example

  I am trying to understand some example code on this web page: (http://www.csharp-station.com/HowTo/HttpWebFetch.aspx) that downloads a file from the internet. The piece of code quoted below goes through a loop getting chunks of data and saving them to a string until all the data has been downloaded. As I understand it, "count" contains the size of the downloaded chunk and the loop runs until count is 0 (an empty chunk of data is downloaded). My question is, isn't it possible that count could be 0 without the file being completely downloaded? Say if the network connection is interrupted, the stream may not have any data to read on a pass of the loop and count should be 0, ending the download prematurely. Or does ResStream.Read stop the program until it gets data?   I want to sort a 'free-form' XML file through multiple attributes (first by T and then by L). • TouchXML to read in twitter feed for iphone app

  Hello there, So I've managed to get the feed from twitter and am attempting to parse it... I only require the following fields from the feed: name, description, time_zone and created_at I am successfully pulling out name and description.. however time_zone and created_at always are nil... If that callback method once again calls BeginReceive in my mind it would be very similar to recursion. How is that this does not cause a stackoverflow exception. • In Varnish, how can I read the Set-Cookie response header?

  I am trying to detect if my application has set a cookie that holds an "alert message" for the user on the next page, where the Javascript displays it if detected. In my vcl_fetch(), I need to detect if the specific cookie value "alert_message" appears anywhere in the Set-Cookie header (presumably in the VCL variable beresp.http.Set-Cookie). If detected, then I do not want to cache that next page (since Varnish strips the Set-Cookie header by default, which would obliterate the alert message before it makes it back to the browser). So here is my simple test: if(beresp.http.Set-Cookie ~ "alert_message") { set req.http.no_cache = 1; } Strangely, it fails to evaluate to true. So I throw the variable into the Server header to see what it looks like: set beresp.http.Server = " MyApp Varnish implementation - test reading set-cookie: "+beresp.http.Set-Cookie; But for some reason this only displays the FIRST Set-Cookie line in the response headers.
