• Is this XML file correct for RSS feeding?

  Hi guys I am generating a XML-RSS type file from PHP. The output for example is like this <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?> <rss version="2.0"> <channel> <title>Mi web mola</title> <link>http://www.dominio.com/blog.php</link> <language>es-ES</language> <description>Mallas y eso</description> <generator>Autor</generator> <item> <title>Articulo de prueba</title> <link>http://www.midominio.com/2342</link> <pubDate>14/06/2010</pubDate> <description><![CDATA[Descripcion de prueba bla bla bla]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[Contenido prueba]]></content:encoded> </item> </channel> </rss> ... and all I can see in the Firefox preview is the title and the description of the blog, not the items, but in the source it appears correctly, so I've thought it must be a parse error or something like that..   Hi, my code attempts to grab data from the RSS feed of a website. It grabs the nodes fine, but when attempting to grab the data from a node with a colon, it crashes and gives the error "Namespace Manager or XsltContext needed. This query has a prefix, variable, or user-defined function."   Hi everyone, I'm stuck with a stupid problem of encoding. My problem is that all my accentuated characters are displayed as weird iso characters. • My C# UploadFile method successfully uploads a file, but then my UI hangs...

The only problem is: my Windows Form "freezes". I can't close it using the Close button. I have to end execution from within the IDE (Visual C# 2010 Express edition). • UIAlertView Will not show

  I have a program that is requesting a JSON string. I have created a class that contains the connect method below. When the root view is coming up, it does a request to this class and method to load up some data for the root view. When I test the error code (by changing the URL host to 127.0.0.1), I expect the Alert to show. Behavior is that the root view just goes black, and the app aborts with no alert. No errors in debug mode on the console, either. Any thoughts as to this behavior? I've been looking around for hints to this for hours to no avail. Thanks in advance for your help. During validation against this schema, ambiguity would be created for those two particles. I using the Eclipse to validate my schema, so what can I do?

• (Android) Seems like my JSON query is getting double encode

  Hi, I am getting some weird errors with my Android App. It appears that this code is double encoding the JSON string. What should be sent is ?{"email":"[email protected]","password":"asdf"} or ?%7B%22email%22:%22..... what the server is seeing is %257B%2522email%2522:%2522 .... which means the server sees %7B%22email%22:%22 ..... This confuses the server. Any ideas why this is happening? So far no Problem, but I didn't found a way to access one of it's functions, the best thing would be if I could access the main function in the mxml part of the swf. • odd behavior with C# ftp client class

  I found an ftp client class in c# over a year ago and have been using it in a process that uploads files on a nightly basis. A few days ago we started having a problem where it would time out. I'm not well versed in this so I'm not sure why it's doing this. When the program starts uploading a file it checks to see if it's logged in and if not, it calls the login method. In that method is this block of code. if (this.resultCode != 230) { this.sendCommand("PASS " + password); if (!(this.resultCode == 230 || this.resultCode == 202)) { this.cleanup(); throw new FtpException(this.result.Substring(4)); } } On the line that says this.sendCommand("PASS"... it goes into this code. private void sendCommand(String command) { if (this.verboseDebugging) Debug.WriteLine(command, "FtpClient"); Byte[] cmdBytes = Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes((command + "\r\n").ToCharArray()); clientSocket.Send(cmdBytes, cmdBytes.Length, 0); this.readResponse(); } If I let the program run, it times out. However if I step through it into the sendCommand method it executes fine. Does anyone know why it would work fine when I step through it? Nothing on our end has changed and I've been told nothing on the client's end has changed so I'm stumped. Thanks.

• Creating android app Database with big amount of data

  Hi all, The database of my application need to be filled with a lot of data, so during onCreate(), it's not only some create table sql instructions, there is a lot of inserts. The solution I chose is to store all this instructions in a sql file located in res/raw and which is loaded with Resources.openRawResource(id). It works well but I face to encoding issue, I have some accentuated caharacters in the sql file which appears bad in my application.   I've build a encoder based on the sample of QUALCOMM, which captures the video and compresses it into h264 file. I am using Android 4.2.2. Now I want to add a mp4 muxer into this encoder(actually, just video will be fine, I don't need audio). I want to use FFMpeg. But after I read the example, I found out that the muxer was using the encoder of FFMpeg. I don't know how to use the muxer part for another encoder. I've read this post, but I don't understand how the code provide video stream to the muxer. I think that mainly because I don't understand these code: AVCodecContext * strmCodec = oFmtCtx->streams[0]->codec; // Fill the required properties for codec context. // *from the documentation: // *The user sets codec information, the muxer writes it to the output. // *Mandatory fields as specified in AVCodecContext // *documentation must be set even if this AVCodecContext is // *not actually used for encoding. my_tune_codec(strmCodec); Can anyone give me a hint?   Hello, Details of the app are: ASP.NET project, local web server, hosted in IIS locally, using latest FireFox, uses forms authentication. I'm getting a logon user name/pwd box when trying to access my local web server. Using the net panel in firebug, I see the issue is with an animated GIF, showing up as 401 unauthorized. Let's assume all needed teachers and students are well defined. What is the XPath query that returns the teachers' NAMES, that have at least one student that took more than 10 lessons with them? I can't seem to understand what I'm doing wrong, and want to know how to correct this?

  I'm trying my Spinner to display "Select City" before the Spinner has itself been clicked by the user. How can I do this?
