  I'm trying to make a search in Bugzilla which is used during our evaluation. The search basically lists how many defects were logged by each employee. Does anyone know how we can do this in Bugzilla? (The advanced search page has options for "Advanced Searching Using Boolean Charts: ". I think it could probably be using that? )

• How can I get Rails to interpret a text field as a datetime

  My database has a datetime field, and I want to be able to create new entries. Obviously the Rails datetime_select helper isn't the most user friendly thing to have in your form. I'd rather have a text field for the datetime (or one for the date, and one for the time) and interpret the inputs like PHP strtotime can. I might just be searching the wrong keywords. Surely this has been discussed in great depth somewhere. Thanks :0)

  I have been searching for an easy way to get the hostname of the machine where Symfony runs in Symfony (so that my app adapts when it is used on a host with a different ServerName), but I couldn't find one. I created a variable in app.yml and I fetch it, but I still wonder if there is no easier way to do this. How are you doing this? I'm using Symfony 1.2 and 1.4 on different projects.

I see my current options as: Using a class that someone else has written and tested Inheriting from BindingList, and implementing the IBindingListView interfaces Write a custom collection from scratch, implementing IBindingListView and IBindingList. I know the you can generate T-SQL easily enough, but can you consume it, manipulate the data structure and re-output a modified version of the SQL select?

• Enforce "spaces" or "tabs" only in python files ?

  In Python, is there a mean to enforce the use of spaces or tabs indentation with a per file basis ? Well, perhaps "enforce" is too strong, its more like "recommands". I keep getting files with mixed indentation and this is annoying... (to say the least) Python itself can tell when there is a problem, but I am searching something to do that at the editor level, like it exists for the charset.

  I'm using the fragment identifier to create a permalink for AJAX events in my web app similar to this guy. Something like: http://www.myapp.com/calendar#filter:year/2010/month/5 I've done quite a bit of searching but can't find a list of valid characters for the fragment idenitifer. The W3C spec doesn't offer anything. Do I need to encode the characters the same as the URL in has in general? There doesn't seem to be any good information on this anywhere.
