    Given an XML structure like this: <garage> <car>Firebird</car> <car>Altima</car> <car>Prius</car> </garage> I want to "move" the Prius node "one level up" so it appears above the Altima node. Here's the final structure I want: <garage> <car>Firebird</car> <car>Prius</car> <car>Altima</car> </garage> So given the C# code: XmlNode priusNode = GetReferenceToPriusNode() What's the best way to cause the priusNode to "move up" one place in the garage's child list?

    Hi, I'm trying to evaluate an xpath varable I'm building dynamically based on the position of the node. I can create the xpath string in a variable but when I select the value of this just get the string and not the node set I need. I use the following to create the xpath <xsl:variable name="xpathstring" select="normalize-space(concat(&quot;//anAttribute[@key='pos&quot;,position(),&quot;']&quot;))"/> and try to output the value with the following. <xsl:value-of select="$xpathstring"/> If I execute the xpath in my debugger I get the nodeset but in my xml output only get the xpath string which looks like this //anAttribute[@key='pos1'] I had a look at exslt dyn:evaluate which seems to enable this but this seems to be only supported by certain processors and doesn't provide a standalone implementation or at least as far as I could see (currently using the standard .net 2.0 xslt whihc is only xslt 1.0 as far as I recall) Is there anyway to handle this without changing processor?     We have an HTML 5.0 web application that we ported to Android. It's our intention to run this in a Native Wrapper. Our application uses the ApplicationCache to run offline. This works find when running under the browser. While being hosted in a WebView within a native application, after the last file is downloaded and stored in the ApplicationCache from the manifest the application is terminated and does a core dump. This appears to be a documented bug. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=7939 Has anyone doing anything similar found a work around for this issue?

    Hello I have multiple .sitemap xml defined with different providers. For one xml file, I want to change the url (append Customerid in the url) by taking the existing url in xml file. I want this to be changed when the page is loaded the first time. For eg one of my node is And I want to make it as I have read many articles online talking about changing node in memory but cant make it work. Any help would be appreciated. Not working with breadcrumbs or sitemapPath control.

    Hello, I've read the MSDN article about the layouts pass, that states: When a node is added or removed from the logical tree, property invalidations are raised on the node's parent and all its children. As a result, a top-down construction pattern should always be followed to avoid the cost of unnecessary invalidations on nodes that have already been validated. Now lets assume I do this. Won't the users see the control tree populate itself and the layout change several times during the control creation process? I want the whole control tree to just appear completely full. Thanks!

For example I have an Employee table with following fields: Name (varhcar) | Address (XML) The Address field is having values like <Address> <Street></Street> <City></City> </Address> I have some n number of rows already in the table. Now I want to insert a new node - Country to all the rows in tha table. With default: <Country>IND</Country>. How can I write the query for this. I want all the existing data to be as it is with adding the country node to all the Address column XML.

  • How to normalize SVG path data (cross browser)?

    I have tried to find a way to implement cross browser path normalizer. There IS a native way which is described here and functional example is here, but it works only in newest Opera (but not in IE, FF, Safari, Chrome). The native way uses pathElm.normalizedPathSegList and it converts all relative coordinates to absolute ones and represents all path segment types as a following subset of types: M,L,C,z. I have found only one javascript code and jsfiddled functional example of it, but it works only in IE and FF. Chrome gives "Uncaught Error: INDEX_SIZE_ERR: DOM Exception 1". How this could be fixed to work also in Opera, Safari and Chrome or is there any other way for normalizing SVG paths?

  • alias not working on sql server 2008 r2

    I have several servers with SQL Server 2008 R2 instances on them, and alias doesn't work on any of them. Clients connect to these servers using TCP/IP without any problem, telnet works on IP/Port I use for my alias, the firewall exceptions are created, basically everything works fine, except when I create an alias, I can not connect through it to my server using either TCP/IP or named pipes (local or one of other servers). I've installed latest cumulative updates, which updates native client too (which I think is the source of problem) and I still have the problem. The stranger part is, if I create an alias on a server with sql server 2005 (native client 9), I can connect to my 2008 r2 instances. Any suggestions?

After K steps, output the number of objects of the top five nodes which has the most objects. Some Constrains: |V|<10^5, |E|<2*10^5, K<10^7, Ci<1000 My current idea is: represent the transformation in each step with a matrix. This problem is converted to the calculation of the power of matrix. But this solution is much too slow considering |V| can be 10^5. Is there any faster way to do it?

    I ran a C++ program in Xcode, and encountered a warning of "Control may reach end of non-void function". But in Xcode, the result was wrong. By the way, I got the correct answer and no warning in Visual Studio.

    I can't find it on any of the online dictionaries I know: dict.org, word reference, urban dictionary, oxford paravia, garzanti. To my ears of a non-native speaker, it sounds horrible. Actually it sounds like a word made-up by another non-native speaker that wanted to say something, didn't know how, and just hacked in a word of his language. The only place I've read it other then user-created-content is the android documentation, so this might or might not be related. Do you happen to know where did it start to be used, why by did it spread so much, what does it really mean?

  • Dealing with video (DVDs, .avi .mkv) in Java

    After looking around for a decent library for playing videos in Java, I've come unstuck. Everyone around is screaming not to use JMF because it's outdated, old and requires the user to install it, other alternatives such as VLCJ seem good if they work but are still relatively unstable and rely on hefty amounts of native code, and as for dealing with DVDs, I haven't found a single option available! Weighing up my options at the moment, it seems like realistically it's either JMF (despite its disadvantages) or waiting until JavaFX 2.0 comes out and then using that. VLCJ just seems too unstable which isn't really something I can live with. Are there any sensible options other than the ones I've listed above, and what would you go for? I'm not against native code per-se, but it has to be reliable and work on Windows, Mac and Linux.
