• EJB injection in Glassfish webapp

  I've got an app that is trying to use @EJB annotation to inject remote references to EJBs in my ejb.jar file. I'm getting inconsistent results. In one case, I have a listener in web.xml that gets called and apparently has the EJB injected correctly, since I can see it connecting to the EJB and calling methods on it. In another class (a struts2 action) I get NPE when it tries to access the EJB reference. As far as I can tell, they're identical calls, in Java classes that live in the same .war file. As a work around, I added code in the constructor to lookup the EJBs by their global JNDI names, and it works fine. I just can't figure out why one @EJB works and not another.

• Jquery interactive table - multiple instance problem

  Hello forgive me if i use the wrong terminology and the messiness of this code it is the first time I have used jquery. I am making an interactive table-product selector. Compatible systems run along the top and colour choices down the left. The table works by seeing if there is a cell is empty in a html table. If the cell is empty then that is a compatible system and a circle image is in that cell and it is selectable. When selected the product code is generated (by looking at the colour value and system name) and the relevant resource download pack can be downloaded. This works 'fine' when on its own on a page however when I have multiple instances of it on one page they interfere with each other. Only the first one works and clicking in the 2nd 3rd etc table updates the first one. I need these to function independant of each other. • CodeIgniter Validation in Library does not accept callback.

  Hey guys, my problem is the following: I am writing a login library. This library has a function _validation() and this uses the validation library to validate the data. With using normal validation methods it works just fine, but using a callback function just does not work. It is not called. I call it like this. $this->CI->form_validation->set_rules('user', 'Username', 'required|callback__check_user'); The functions name is _check_user and it uses the username _check_user($user). The function itself works fine and I can also call it in the class ($this-_check_user('username')) with a working result. I am guessing, there might be a problem because I am not workin in a controller so I have a CI instance $this-CI instead of just the original instance $this- Does anyone have a clue how to fix this? • Urgent help needed on How to update NSMutableDictionary. My code doesn't work.

  I've populated an array using. arrSettings = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:[self settingsPath]]; The file is a plist with the root as an array and then a dictionary with three three keys defined as number. I've also tried setting the keys to string. I display the values in the plist file on a view using. diaper = [[arrSettings objectAtIndex:0] objectForKey:@"Diaper Expenses"]; oil = [[arrSettings objectAtIndex:0] objectForKey:@"Oil Used"]; tree = [[arrSettings objectAtIndex:0] objectForKey:@"Wood Used"]; This code works fine, the values in the dictionary are assigned to the variables and they are displayed. The user can make changes and then press a save button. I use this code to extract the dictionary part of the array so I can update it. The assignment to editDictionary works. I've double checked the key names including case and that is correct. editDictionary = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; editDictionary = [arrSettings objectAtIndex:0]; NSNumber *myNumber = [NSNumber numberWithFloat:diaperAmount]; [editDictionary setValue:myNumber forKey:@"Diaper Expenses"]; myNumber = [NSNumber numberWithFloat:oilAmount]; [editDictionary setValue:myNumber forKey:@"Oil Used"]; myNumber = [NSNumber numberWithFloat:treeAmount]; [editDictionary setValue:myNumber forKey:@"Wood Used"]; In this example I've used a nsnumber. But I've also tried the xxxAmount field as part of SetValue instead of creating a NSNumber. Neither implementation works. Several strange things happen. Sometimes the first two setvalue statements work, but the last setvalue fails with a EXC_BAD_ACCESS failure. Other times the first setValue fails with the same error. I have no idea why the first two sometimes work. I'm at a loss of what to do next. I've tried several implentations and none of them work. Also, in the debugger how can I display the editDictionary elements. I can see editDictionary, but I don't know how to display the individual elements.

• Combing a symlink to an external folder with a Rewrite Rule?

  I've created a symlink in an account to an folder external to that user account (although with the same ownership). The symlink works but I'd like to combine it with a RewriteRule, and I'm having problems with that. For instance I create the symlink with: ln -s /home/target shortcut And I add the following RewriteRule to .htaccess: RewriteRule ^shortcut/([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+) shortcut/index.php?var=$1 This however fails. Yet if instead of being located in an external folder, the target folder is in the same folder as the shortcut address, then the RewriteRule will work. i.e. it works if the symlink is: ln -s ./target shortcut How might I get the RewriteRule working for the case where the target folder is an external folder?

• [Linux] domain socket "sendto" encounter "errno 111, connection refused"

  I am using domain socket to get values from another process, like A to get a value from B, It works well for months. But recently, A is failed during "sendto" message to B with "errno 111, connection refused" occasionally. I checked the B domain socket bind file, it is exists. I also do some tests in another machine, also works well. So, does anyone encounter this problem before? Can anyone have some clues what might be probably wrong in this scenario? Thanks very much.

For reasons beyond our understanding, the first call to the database server fails with the following error: An error has occurred during report processing. Cannot open database "TryParkingIt2" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'EXTRANET\OurServerNameHere$'. Run the report again, it works. Huh? Update Click the button the first time, it fails. Click the button again, it works. The account being impersonated is a domain account.

  Hello to all. I need to implement parent page redirection from iframe. I know that it is impossible to do in different domains due to browsers security. However I found that links have target attribute and tried to use it in the following way: <a href="http://google.com" target="_top" id="testParentRedirect">someLink</a> It works fine if I click this link manually, but I couldn't find cross-browser solution to simulate it using javascript. document.getElementById('testParentRedirect').click(); This works fine in IE, however Firefox and Safary don't know click function :). I tried to work with jquery, but for some reason they don't simulate click event for links. (see following post) I couldn't find any appropriate solution on stackoverflow. Maybe someone could help me in it. I will appreciate it. :)

• Can run Javascript but not jQuery?

  I'm running into a strange problem - I tried running a basic function in JS and jQuery, and while the former worked, the latter didn't. JS - okay alert('Works'); jQuery - not okay $(document).ready({ alert('Works'); }); Here's some facts: My references to the jQuery library are correct (And pretty sure my Internet connection is steady :) I'm using a CDN - CloudFlare to be exact, but I've switched development mode on and Rocket Loader off - so all the code I've uploaded to the server is WYSIWYG (CloudFlare adds some stuff in the tags if you leave Rocket Loader on. I tried running the alert code in the head section, and elsewhere in the body tags, to no avail. What could have possibly gone wrong? • WCF - call same service from client and server side

  I have a simple WCF service that I call server side from code behind via a service reference. It's used for validation and works and was automatically setup by Visual Studio and is using SOAP I think because the binding is wsHttpBinding. I want to use the same WCF service, but call it client side from jQuery using ajax(). I'm trying to implement it by way of these instructions. But if I make the changes to get the client side call working, I have to add the decoration below which I think will break what works on the server side and also change the system.serviceModel section in web.config. [WebInvoke(Method = "POST", BodyStyle = WebMessageBodyStyle.Wrapped, ResponseFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json, RequestFormat= WebMessageFormat.Json) ] How do I have a WCF service that can be called both from the server-side and client side (jQuery/ajax)?

• Creating controls in ASP with dynamic IDs

  Hi, I'm creating a chat widget that will be dropped into CommunityServer. The widget works great, but I just discovered that if I drop two of these widgets onto the same page, only one of them works! And I'm quite certain the reason is because the chat window is defined in ASP, and now there are two instances of the chat window, with the same ID, on the same page. I am doing this with straight ASP & Javascript (not by choice), so my chat window is defined as: <telerik:RadListBox ID="rlbMessages" runat="server" > (don't mind that it's a telerik control). So I was hoping I could do something like this: <telerik:RadListBox ID="<%= 'rlbMessages' + chatRoomID %>" runat="server" > But from what I've gathered, apparently you can't assign ID's this way? What is the alternative?

• How to set the value of a wx.combobox by posting an event

  The code below demonstrates the problem I am running into. I am creating a wx.ComboBox and trying to mimic it's functionality for testing purposes by posting a wxEVT_COMMAND_COMBOBOX_SELECTED event... this event strangely works fine for wx.Choice, but it doesn't do anything to the ComboBox. There doesn't appear to be a different event that I can post to the combobox, but maybe I'm missing something. • No such directory when committing files using CVS from Eclipse

  Hi all I am using Eclipse solely as a CVS client. Mostly it works very good, but once in a while, when I am right-clicking a file to commit it (a file that it itself says is changed and ready for commit), it tells me "cvs [server aborted]: no such directory `...' But the directory DOES exist?! If I navigate to the folder using tortoise CVS and right click for commit, it works fine? (this is the way I finally have to get those files committed) Has anyone experienced this as well, and more importantly - has anyone solved it? :) I am running Vista on the client PC and the CVS server is a Windows Server 2003 (please dont tell me to just switch to Linux - that is not much help). I'm using gcc/g++, so adding the -MP option when generating dependencies works great for me, until I get to the link stage with my .a file... • Why is iphone Simulator not rendering HTML5 page correctly?

  hello all, I have a page I am developing in .net using HTML5 intended for a WebView in an iphone App. The page looks just fine in Safari. When I load it in the iphone Simulator it is rendering as plain text, no styles or js loading. I thought it might be an issue with .net, but seeing as it works in Safari i am stumped. When I use the XHTML doctype it works just fine in the Simulator. Any ideas why this is occurring and what the fix may be? Thanks!

• JsonStore.insert() causes exception in extjs

  I have an EditorGridPanel with toolbar button to add new records. Everything works fine except one scenario. When I try to insert a record which already exists in database, server sends back: {"success":false,"message":"already exists","data":{}} but grid creates a new row marked with red triangle. If after that I try to insert a new record (even if it doesn't exist in database), everything works fine on the server side, but i get an 'uncaught exception' in firebug. It says: 'uncaught exception: Ext.data.DataReader: #realize was called with invalid remote-data. Please see the docs for DataReader#realize and review your DataReader configuration.' why is that?

• Access 2007: Dynamic SQL to be run when opening a report

  I'm trying to have some SQL execute when I open a report. This works fine when I try to match on a column that's an integer with an integer, but when I try to match on a "text" column, it keeps popping up a dialog asking for what you want to filter on. Here's a somple query: select person_phone_numbers.person_id from person_phone_numbers where phone_number = '444-444-4444' This is actually a sub-query I'm trying to use, but this is where the problem is. If I change it to this it works fine: select person_phone_numbers.person_id from person_phone_numbers where phone_id = 2 I put this in the OnOpen event and I'm assigning it to Me.RecordSource if that makes a difference. My goal here is to have a form accept query parameter(s) and have it open a report with the results. Any thoughts on why it wants to ask for a parameter vs. just running the query the way I have it?

• jQuery action being called when selector isn't met?

  I've been working on a prototype for a client's web site and I've run into a rather significant snag. You can view the prototype here. As you can see, the way it works is you can scroll a set of slides horizontally and, by clicking one, open a stack containing yet more slides. If you then click again on an image in that stack it opens up a lightbox. Clicking on another stack or the close button will close that stack (and open another, as case may be). That all works great. However you get some weird behavior if you do the following: Click to open any stack. Click to open an image's light box (this works best if you click on the image that's level with the main list). Close the light box and the stack either by clicking the close button or clicking on another stack. Click back to the first stack. Instead of reopening the stack, you get the lightbox. This confuses me as the light box should only ever be called if there is a class on the containing UL and that class is removed when the lightbox is closed. I've checked and double-checked this, it's definitely missing. • strange wpf errors on xp machine

  I created an application that has two windows. the second one is opened by .showDialog() command from the first window. on Windows 7 everything works fine but when running on XP the first window works fine but when trying to open the second window the application crash. exception message: Provide value on 'System.Windows.Baml2006.TypeConverterMarkupExtension' threw an exception. and now for the weird part: when changing the application and making the second window run first it opens without a problem. when removing the icon from the second window (it's the same file for both windows) it also runs fine. any ideas on how to solve this?

• I'm having a problem redeploying an applications using Drools and Tomcat 6

  I have a spring application that uses JBoss Drools 5. It works fine except for when I attempt to redeploy (i.e. hot deploy) the application after I make a change during development. It appears that tomcat keeps a lock on 2 drools jar files, drools-compiler-5.0.1.jar and drools-core-5.0.1.jar. Since they can't be deleted the new war file does not get deployed. If my application does not make any Drools logic calls, then the hot deploy works. Does anyone have any ideas?

• RMO on Windows 7 - The Specified module could not be found

  My machine: Windows XP (x86), VS2008, .net 3.5, sql server 2005, WinForms - App works fine. Production Machines: Windows 7 (x64), SQl Server 2005 Express - App Starts but throws exception Visual Studio Targeting x86 on setup project and RMO project. Visual Studio gives me a a couple warnings but I can still build: Unable to find dependency 'MICROSOFT.SQLSERVER.MANAGEMENT.SQLPARSER' (Signature='89845DCD8080CC91' Version='10.0.0.0') of assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo.dll' Unable to find dependency 'MICROSOFT.SQLSERVER.MANAGEMENT.SQLPARSER' (Signature='89845DCD8080CC91' Version='10.0.0.0') of assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.SmoMetadataProvider.dll' This is a simple RMO (Replication Management Objects) app that initiates a pull subscription in SQL Server 2005 and displays status. Works fine on my machine, but fails on the production machine. I'm using a setup project to install the app on the production machine, but I think I'm missing a dependency somewhere, but I can't figure it out. On the production machine the app starts fine, but when I try to synch the subscription i get: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: The Specified module could not be found. (Exception from HResult: 0x8007007E)

• "import as" leads to unresolved import error, "from .. import" does not

  I'm trying to write some plugins for the irc bot supybot with eclipse/pydev. Pydev gives me errors about unresolved imports on supybot-modules/packages (e. g. import supybot.utils as utils), but works ok on e. g. "from supybot.commands import *". So I guess I set up dydev correctly, as it finds the wanted modules. The problem must be in pydev/eclipse, as the bot works correct and in eric5 I get also no errors about that. Removing the interpreter and setting it up didn't help. Any other ideas on how to fix this? System: Arch Linux, Eclipse Juno, PyDev 2.7.1, wanted (and set up) python interpreter is 2.7, supybot is installed in site-packages for Python 2.7. Edit: Just noticed: PyDev doesn't mark the "from ... import *" as error, but if I use functions imported from there I get an error on that function.
