• Creating a triple store query using SQL - how to find all triples that have a common predicate and o

- by Ankur
I have a database that acts like a triple store, except that it is just a simple MySQL database. I want to select all triples that have a common predicate and object. Info about RDF and triples I can't seem to work out the SQL. If I had just a single predicate and object to match I would do: select TRIPLE from TRIPLES where PREDICATE="predicateName" and OBJECT="objectName" But if I have a list (HashMap) of many pairs of (predicateName,objectName) I am not sure what I need to do. Please let me know if I need to provide more info, I am not sure that I have made this quite clear, but I am wary of providing too much info and confusing the issue.

• Delete backup files older than 7 days

- by rockbala
Using osql command, SSQL backup of a database is created. It is saved to Disk. Then renamed to match the date of the day backup was taken. All these files are saved in a single folder all the time. for example: Batch1.bat does the following 1) Created backup.bak 2) renamed to backup 12-13-2009.bak (this is done by the combination of % ~ - etc to get the date parameter) This is now automated to take backup everyday by Task scheduler in Windows. Can the batch file also be modified to delete backup files older than 7 days? if so, how ? If it is not possible via batch file, other than manually deleting the files are there any other alternatives to automate the deleting job ? Thanks in advance, Balaji S

• Symfony Rewrite rules on Zeus webserver

- by Ben
I would like to run a symfony project on a zeus webserver, however i cannot get the rewrite rules to work. Has anyone done this successfully The symfony .htaccess is as follows: Options +FollowSymLinks +ExecCGI <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On # uncomment the following line, if you are having trouble # getting no_script_name to work #RewriteBase / # we skip all files with .something #RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} \..+$ #RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !\.html$ #RewriteRule .* - [L] # we check if the .html version is here (caching) RewriteRule ^$ index.html [QSA] RewriteRule ^([^.]+)$ $1.html [QSA] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f # no, so we redirect to our front web controller RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php [QSA,L] </IfModule> From what I can tell the following should work on zeus: match URL into $ with (^(.*)$) if matched then set URL = index.php But it doesn't... I can only load the home page from / all other pages just 404. Thanks..

• MYOB Service Sales Import

- by sjw
I have developed an export file from our Job Management system that I want to be able to import into MYOB Accounting Plus v18.5. The file is generated without issue and I have included every single field to make it easy for upload (i.e. Match All matches every field) The problem I am having is no matter what I do, I cannot get the sales to import... Every time, no matter what I do or how I create the customer card comes back with: Error -190: Customer not found. Sale invoice not imported. I have tried matching using - co./Last Name, Card ID & Record ID and every time I get the same error. I have created a single customer with a simply Co./Last Name, Card ID & Record ID and still, when I try to import using these same fields exactly matched, I get the same error...

• ASP.NET 4.0 webforms routing

- by Ethan
I have an existing site that I'd like to convert to use routing, and after reading Scott Guthrie's post here, I built a working sample that works for most circumstances. However, since not all of the pages on the existing site match a particular pattern, I'll need to check against a database to determine which route (destination .aspx page) to use. For example, most pages are like this: http://www.mysite.com/people/person.html This is fine - I can easily route these to the view_person.aspx page because of the 'people' directory. But some pages are like this: http://www.mysite.com/category_page.html http://www.mysite.com/product_page.html This necessitates checking the database to see whether to route to the view_category.aspx page or the view_product.aspx page. And this is where I'm stuck. Do I create an IRouteHandler that checks the database and returns the route? Or is there a better way? The only code I've found that kind of fits is the answer to this question. Thanks in advance.

• Losing DateTimeOffset precision when using C#

- by Darvis Lombardo
I have a SQL Server table with a CreatedDate field of type DateTimeOffset(2). A sample value which is in the table is 2010-03-01 15:18:58.57 -05:00 As an example, from within C# I retrieve this value like so: var cmd = new SqlCommand("SELECT CreatedDate FROM Entities WHERE EntityID = 2", cn); var da = new SqlDataAdapter(cmd); DataTable dt =new DataTable(); da.Fill(dt); And I look at the value: MessageBox.Show(dt.Rows[0][0].ToString()); The result is 2010-03-01 15:18:58 -05:00, which is missing the .57 that is stored in the database. If I look at dt.Rows[0][0] in the Watch window, I also do not see the .57, so it appears it has been truncated. Can someone shed some light on this? I need to use the date to match up with other records in the database and the .57 is needed. Thanks! Darvis

• PERL XPath Parser Help

- by cognvision
I want to pull in data using a XML::XPath parser from a XML DB file from the Worldbank site. The problem is that I'm not seeing any results in the output. I must be missing something in the code. Ideally, I would like to extract just the death rate statistics from each country XML DB (year and value). I'm using this as part of my input: http://data.worldbank.org/sites/default/files/countries/en/afghanistan_en.xml use strict; use LWP 5.64; use HTML::ContentExtractor; use XML::XPath; my $agent1 = LWP::UserAgent->new; my $extractor = HTML::ContentExtractor->new(); #Retrieve main Worldbank country site my $mainlink = "http://data.worldbank.org/country/"; my $page = $agent1->get("$mainlink"); my $fulltext = $page->decoded_content(); #Match to just all available countries in Worldbank my $country = ""; my @countryList; if (@countryList = $fulltext =~ m/(http://data\.worldbank\.org/country/.*?")/gi){ foreach $country(@countryList){ #Remove " at the end of link $country=~s/"//gi; print "
" . $country; #Retrieve each country profile's XML DB file my $page = $agent1->get("$country"); my $fulltext = $page->decoded_content(); my $XML_DB = ""; my @countryXMLDBList; if (@countryXMLDBList = $fulltext =~ m/(http://data\.worldbank\.org/sites/default/files/countries/en/.*?\.xml)/gi){ foreach $XML_DB(@countryXMLDBList){ my $page = $agent1->get("$XML_DB"); my $fulltext = $page->decoded_content(); #print $fulltext; #Use XML XPath parser to find elements related to death rate my $xp = XML::XPath->new($fulltext); #my $xp = XML::XPath->new("afghanistan_en.xml"); my $nodeSet = $xp->find("//*"); if (!$nodeSet->isa('XML::XPath::NodeSet') || $nodeSet->size() == 0) { #No match found print "
Match not found!"; exit; } else { foreach my $node ($nodeSet->get_nodelist){ print "
" . $node->find('country')->string_value; print "
" . $node->find('indicator')->string_value; print "
" . $node->find('year')->string_value; print "
" . $node->find('value')->string_value; exit; } } } #Build line graph based on death rate statistics and output some image file format } } } I am also looking into using the xpath expression "following-sibling", but not sure how to use it correctly. For example, I have the following set of XML data where I am only interested in pulling siblings directly after the indicator for just death rate data. <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="SP.DYN.CDRT.IN">Death rate, crude (per 1,000 people)</indicator> <year>2006</year> <value>20.3410000</value> </data> - <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="SP.DYN.CDRT.IN">Death rate, crude (per 1,000 people)</indicator> <year>2007</year> <value>19.9480000</value> </data> - <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="SP.DYN.CDRT.IN">Death rate, crude (per 1,000 people)</indicator> <year>2008</year> <value>19.5720000</value> </data> - <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="IC.EXP.DOCS">Documents to export (number)</indicator> <year>2005</year> <value>7.0000000</value> </data> - <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="IC.EXP.DOCS">Documents to export (number)</indicator> <year>2006</year> <value>12.0000000</value> </data> - <data> <country id="AFG">Afghanistan</country> <indicator id="IC.EXP.DOCS">Documents to export (number)</indicator> <year>2007</year> <value>12.0000000</value> </data> Any help would be much appreciated!!!

• Redirect www.example.com/apple to food.example.com/fruits/apple

- by Senthil
I want to redirect users from www.example.com/apple to http://food.example.com/fruits/apple Note: This is a hardcoded redirection. Even a mapping if you will. "apple" will not be substituted with anything else. Nothing in the two URLs will change except for the domain of course. So there is no need for a regular expression to match the "apple" or anything else. There is already dozens of RewriteCond and RewriteRule things in the .htaccess file. I do not want them to be affected. This redirection is independent of those. I have access to the .htaccess file at the root of www.example.com and the httpd.conf What code should I put in .htaccess in order to achieve this? Or should I change the httpd.conf?

• Migrate a Django project from MySQL to Oracle

- by pablo
Hi, I have a Django1.1 project that works with a legacy MySQL db. I'm trying to migrate this project to Oracle (xe and 11g). We have two options for the migration: - Use SQL developer to create a migration sql script. - Use Django fixtures. The schema created with the sql script from sql developer doesn't match the schema created from syncdb. For example, Django expects TIMESTAMP columns while sql developer creates DATE columns. Using syncdb with Django fixtures could be great but when trying to load the MySQL fixtures into Oracle, after using syncdb, I'm getting: IntegrityError: ORA-00001: unique constraint (USER.SYS_C004253) violated How can I find what part create the integrity error? Thanks

• Get domain name (not subdomain) in php

- by Cyclone
I have a URL which can be any of the following formats: http://example.com https://example.com http://example.com/foo http://example.com/foo/bar www.example.com example.com foo.example.com www.foo.example.com foo.bar.example.com http://foo.bar.example.com/foo/bar example.net/foo/bar Essentially, I need to be able to match any normal URL. How can I extract example.com (or .net, whatever the tld happens to be. I need this to work with any TLD.) from all of these via a single regex? This is in PHP. Thanks for the help!

• Is there a way to add an elmah rss feed to google reader?

- by Jason Irwin
Elmah has an rss feed and rss digest feature. My feeds are working just fine from within my brwoser. However I would like to add them to google reader as this is my feed reader of choice. The problem is that Elmah uses an AXD handler to server its information - therefore the path to the RSS feed is not a physical one. For example the RSS feed for my site is located at: http://www.mysite.com/errors/elmah.axd/rss This is not a file nor does the folder structure exist - it is all part of the beauty of Elmah. When I attempt to add this virtual path as a feed in google reader i get: Your search did not match any feeds Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Jason

• Is there an IDE that provides code completion for Python

- by Justin Walgran
I am quite fond of the Intellisense code completion baked into Microsoft Visual Studio. I find that I only type 2 to 4 characters of any given keyword which drasticaly speeds up my coding. Now that I have been spending time writing some Python code I find myself reaching for ctrl+space. Are there any IDEs that support code completion in Python? I do my python development on a Mac so an OS x tool would be preferable. It seems like the doc string property of Python methods is a perfect match for inline API discovery.

• how to compare/validate sql schema

- by Ron Harlev
I'm looking for a way to validate the SQL schema on a production DB after updating an application version. If the application does not match the DB schema version, there should be a way to warn the user and list the changes needed. Is there a tool or a framework (to use programatically) with built-in features to do that? Or is there some simple algorithm to run this comparison? Update: Red gate lists "from $395". Anything free? Or more foolproof than just keeping the version number?

• Multiple delimiters using Regex.Split in C#

- by Arthur Frankel
Let's say you need to split a string by various delimiters including newline (/r, /n) and a few other 'special' character strings. For example: This is a sample %%% text &&& that I would like to split %%% into an array. I would like the following in the resulting string array (contents via index) [0]This is a sample [1]text [2]that I would [3]like to split [4]into an array. I would like to use C# Regex.Split() function. What is the regex expression to match on all of my delimiters? Thanks in advance

• Regular Expression - capturing contents of

- by joey mueller
I'm trying to use a regular expression to capture the contents of all option values inside an HTML select element For example, in: one two three I'd like to capture one two and three into an array. My current code is var pages = responseDetails.responseText.match(/<select name="page" .+?>(?:\s*<option .+?>([^<]+))+\s*/); for (var c = 0; c<pages.length; c++) { alert(pages[c]); } But it only captures the last value, in this case, "three". How can I modify this to capture all of them? Thanks!

• Python regular expressions assigning to named groups

- by None
When you use variables (is that the correct word?) in python regular expressions like this: "blah (?P\w+)" ("value" would be the variable), how could you make the variable's value be the text after "blah " to the end of the line or to a certain character not paying any attention to the actual content of the variable. For example, this is pseudo-code for what I want: >>> import re >>> p = re.compile("say (?P<value>continue_until_text_after_assignment_is_recognized) endsay") >>> m = p.match("say Hello hi yo endsay") >>> m.group('value') 'Hello hi yo' Note: The title is probably not understandable. That is because I didn't know how to say it. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

• Play 2.0 RESTful request post-processing

- by virtualeyes
In regard to this question I am curious how one can do post-request REST processing a la (crude): def postProcessor[T](content: T) = { request match { case Accepts.Json() => asJson(content) case Accepts.Xml() => asXml(content) case _ => content } } overriding onRouteRequest in Global config does not appear to provide access to body of the response, so it would seem that Action composition is the way to go to intercept the response and do post-processing task(s). Question: is this a good idea, or is it better to do content-type casting directly within a controller (or other class) method where the type to cast is known? Currently I'm doing this kind of thing everywhere: toJson( i18n("account not found") ) toJson( Map('orderNum-> orderNum) ) while I'd like the toJson/toXml conversion to happen based on accepts header post-request.

• Can I improve this regex check for valid domain names?

- by Josh
So, I have been working on this domain name regular expression. So far, it seems to pick up domain names with SLDs and TLDs (with the optional ccTLD), but there is duplication of the TLD listing. Can this be refactored any further? params[:domain_name].downcase.strip.match(/^[a-z0-9\-]{2,63} \.((a[cdefgilmnoqrstuwxz]|aero|arpa)|(b[abdefghijmnorstvwyz]|biz)| (c[acdfghiklmnorsuvxyz]|cat|com|coop)|d[ejkmoz]|(e[ceghrstu]|edu)|f[ijkmor]| (g[abdefghilmnpqrstuwy]|gov)|h[kmnrtu]|(i[delmnoqrst]|info|int)| (j[emop]|jobs)|k[eghimnprwyz]|l[abcikrstuvy]| (m[acdghklmnopqrstuvwxyz]|me|mil|mobi|museum)|(n[acefgilopruz]|name|net)|(om|org)| (p[aefghklmnrstwy]|pro)|qa|r[eouw]|s[abcdeghijklmnortvyz]| (t[cdfghjklmnoprtvwz]|travel)|u[agkmsyz]|v[aceginu]|w[fs]|y[etu]|z[amw]) (\.((a[cdefgilmnoqrstuwxz]|aero|arpa)|(b[abdefghijmnorstvwyz]|biz)| (c[acdfghiklmnorsuvxyz]|cat|com|coop)|d[ejkmoz]|(e[ceghrstu]|edu)|f[ijkmor]| (g[abdefghilmnpqrstuwy]|gov)|h[kmnrtu]|(i[delmnoqrst]|info|int)| (j[emop]|jobs)|k[eghimnprwyz]|l[abcikrstuvy]| m[acdghklmnopqrstuvwxyz]|mil|mobi|museum)| (n[acefgilopruz]|name|net)|(om|org)| (p[aefghklmnrstwy]|pro)|qa|r[eouw]|s[abcdeghijklmnortvyz]| (t[cdfghjklmnoprtvwz]|travel)|u[agkmsyz]|v[aceginu]|w[fs]|y[etu]|z[amw]))?$/)

• SQL Server indexed view matching of views with joins not working

- by usr
Does anyone have experience of when SQL Servr 2008 R2 is able to automatically match indexed view (also known as materialized views) that contain joins to a query? for example the view select dbo.Orders.Date, dbo.OrderDetails.ProductID from dbo.OrderDetails join dbo.Orders on dbo.OrderDetails.OrderID = dbo.Orders.ID cannot be automatically matched to the same exact query. When I select directly from this view ith (noexpand) I actually get a much faster query plan that does a scan on the clustered index of the indexed view. Can I get SQL Server to do this matching automatically? I have quite a few queries and views... I am on enterprise edition of SQL Server 2008 R2.

• .htaccess redirect umlaut domain

- by Christian Engel
I am trying to redirect requests from a umlaut domain to another domain. My following code works with ANY other domain, but not umlaut: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?frankfurter-flöhe\.de/$ [NC] RewriteRule ^ http://kinderkultur-frankfurt.de/frankfurter-floehe-theaterprogramm.html [R=301,L] </IfModule> However, when I call the umlaut domain and copy it from google chromes address bar after that, I get this: http://xn--frankfurter-flhe-zwb.de/ Altough, if I use that obfruscated domain in my htaccess instead of the "real" umlaut domain, it doesn't work either. Does anybody have an idea how to match that domain?

• Consing lists with user-defined type in Haskell

I have this type I defined myself: data Item = Book String String String Int -- Title, Author, Year, Qty | Movie String String String Int -- Title, Director, Year, Qty | CD String String String Int deriving Show -- Title, Artist, Year, Qty I've created an empty list all_Items = [] With the following function I am trying to insert a new book of type Item (Book) into the all_Items addBook all_Items = do putStrLn "Enter the title of the book" tit <- getLine putStrLn "Enter the author of the book" aut <- getLine putStrLn "Enter the year this book was published" yr <- getLine putStrLn "Enter quantity of copies for this item in the inventory" qty <- getLine Book tit aut yr (read qty::Int):all_Items return(all_Items) I however am receiving this error: Couldn't match expected type `IO a0' with actual type `[a1]' The error points to the line where I am using the consing operator to add the new book to the list. I can gather that it is a type error but I can't figure out what it is that I am doing wrong and how to fix it. Thanks in Advance!

• Strange JavaScript Regular Expression Behavior

- by Kiwi
I'm getting different behavior from a regular expression in JavaScript depending on whether or not I declare it using literal syntax. Using a extremely simple test HTML file:

The regular expression declared with literal syntax (/\d/) works correctly, while the other (new RegExp('\d')) does not. Why on earth is this happening? I'm using Google Chrome 5.0.375.70 on Windows Vista Home Premium, if that's at all helpful.

• JavaScript lazy regex for matching HTML tags

- by Grnbeagle
Hi, I'm having a problem writing a regular expression for matching HTML tags. I found a similar entry here, but this didn't quite work in my case. Here's my test string:
here's some text that may include whitespace

and some more here
And here's my regex based on the aforementioned entry: <div[^>]*class="myclass">[^~]*?
Note that I need to match the first instance of
with class of "myclass." The content may have carriage returns. These
tags won't be nested. Here's a rubular page for testing: http://rubular.com/r/vlfcikKMXk

• The case of the sneaky backslash - Regex

- by Shane Cusson
I'm missing something very obvious here, but I just cant see it. I've got: string input = @"999\abc.txt"; string pattern = @"\\(.*)"; string output = Regex.Match(input,pattern).ToString(); Console.WriteLine(output); My result is: \abc.txt I don't want the slash and cant figure out why it's sneaking into the output. I tried flipping the pattern, and the slash winds up in the output again: string pattern = @"^(.*)"; and get: 999\ Strange. The result is fine in Osherove's Regulator. Any thoughts? Thanks.
