  • Base URL in ASP.net Master Pages with virtual Directories

    Hi All, I have an ASP.net master page. In this master, I have all my css and javascript files defined. I also have a few images and a few buttons and hyperlinks. All the urls are all declared as relative ie "/scripts/ian.js" Everything works fine if this site is the root website, but I need it to work in a virtual directory. My problem is when I place this website in a virtual directory under a root site, all my links are pointing to the root site. so my links point to www.root.com/scripts/ian.js but it should be pointing to www.root.com/virtualDir/scripts/ian.js I thought the Base Href tag in the header would help, but so far it does not seem to be helping in anyway. All the links are still pointing to the root website when i hover over them. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome. Thanks

  • What is "Virtual Size" in sysinternals process explorer

    Hi My application runs for few hours, There is no increase in any value ( vmsize, memory) of Task Manager. But after few hours i get out of memory errors. In sysinternals i see that "Virtual Size" is contineously increasing, and when it reach around 2 GB i start getting memory errors. So what kind of memory leak is that ? How can i demonstrate it with a code ? Is it possible to reproduce same thing with any piece of code where none of the memory value increase but only the Virtual Size in sysinternsl process explorer increase ? thanks for any suggestions

  • unable to connect to database on a networked drive

    Hi, I'm trying to connect to an access database from a php script using ODBC. When I put the db on my local c: drive create a system DSN i can connect no problem, but when it's on the networked drive I get the error: Warning: odbc_connect() [function.odbc-connect]: SQL error: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] '(unknown)' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides., SQL state S1009 in SQLConnect in C:\wamp\www\suppliers\furniture.php on line 3 Ok so I'm guessing it's permissions somewhere anyone know specifically what/where?     Hello, I have a very large DB used mostly for analytics. The performance overall is very sluggish. I just noticed that when running the query below, the amount of virtual memory used greatly exceeds the amount of physical memory available. Currently, physical memory is 10GB (10238k bytes) whereas the virtual memory returns significantly more - 8388607k bytes. That seems really wrong, but I'm at a bit of a loss on how to proceed.     Hi I've came across on this problem, I have a sever running apache and php. We have many virtual hosts but we've noticed that a potentially malicious user could use his web space to browse other user's files(via a simple php script) and even system files, this could happens due to the php permissions. A way to avoid it is to set the open_basedir var in php.ini, yhis is very simple in a single host system, but in case of virtual hosts there would be a basebir per each host. Ho can I set dis basedir per each user/host? is there a way to let apache hereditate php privileges of the php file that has been requested E.G. /home/X_USER/index.php has as owner X_USER, when apache read the file index.php it checks its path and owner, simply I'm looking for a system set php basedir variable to that path.     I am using Daemon tool to mount an ISO image on Windows XP machine.I do mount using Daemon command (daemon.exe -mount 0,). Above command will mount ISO image to device number. In my case I have 4 partition (C,D,E,F) and G for DVD/CD-RW. Now what happen, ISO gets mounted to drive letter 'H:' with name (as defined while creating ISO) say 'testmount' My queries:- 1) How can I get mount name of mounted ISO image (i.e. 'testmount'). Just another case; if there are already some mount points existing on machine and I created a new one using Daemon tool. Then If I can get latest one using script that will be great. 2) How to get drive letter where it did get mounted. If anyone know python script or command (or even Win command ) to get these info. do let me know. Thanks...

  • C# Exception when retrieving rows from a datagrid in virtual mode

    Hi all, I keep getting an exception (see below) when I retrieve a list of rows from a Virtual Mode datagrid, this only happens when I have more rows than I can display on screen and it doesn't happen every time. Is there anything I'm missing with regards to virtual mode? Update The image below shows the problem, the index is now outside the list range. The reason for this is say I have 10 items and I hide 5 as they are not needed and I want to run some code on the 5 that are visible, there are now 5 items but the index of some maybe between 5-9, how can I re-index? When I have run some code on the visible 5 I then show the hidden 5 so I don't want to disgard these, I'd need to reindex again when they are all visible. Many thanks.

  • Maven 2.1.0 not passing on system properties to Java virtual machine

    We use the command line to pass on system properties to the Java virtual machine when running our Hudson builds on a Linux box. It used to work quite well in 2.0.9 by since we upgraded to 2.1.0 it has stopped working altogether. The system properties just never make it to the Java virtual machine. I have created a small test project and indeed it does not work at all. I have attached it in case you want to give it a go. This should work just fine with Maven 2.0.9: mvn2.0.9 -Dsystem.test.property=test test But this will fail: mvn2.1 -Dsystem.test.property=test test The Java code simply does this assertTrue( System.getProperty("system.test.property") != null); , Apr 20, 2009; 12:44pm edward eric pedersson

    I was just curious, is it possible to have direct network transfers in c#, without local caching. e.g. I have response stream which represents GoogleDrive file and request stream to upload file to another GoogleDrive account. At that momment I can download file to local pc and next upload it to the google drive.   • Portable way to determining of printer is physical or virtual

    I need direct-to-printer functionality for my website, with the ability to distinguish a physical printer from a virtual printer (file). Coupons.com has this functionality via a native binary which must be installed by the user. I'd prefer to avoid that. SmartSource.com does it via Java applet: Does anybody know how this is done? I dug through that Java APIs a bit, and don't see anything that would let you determine physical vs virtual, except looking at the name (that seems prone to misidentification). It would be nice to be able to do it in Java, because I already know how to write Java applets. Failing that, is there a way to do this in Flash or Silverlight? Thanks in advance.   • VSS keep resetting working folder a the root of the C: drive

    I have noticed several times (that is it does not happens all the time, but occurs regulary) that VSS has forgoten my working folder settings and re-set it to be a root of the C: drive. It is very annoying to find out that some of the files you have checked out and been working on are not in the same folder where you expect them to be (and it also pollutes the drive with a C:\SubProject1, C:\SubProject2 folders instead of keeping them all inside of C:\Work). Any recomendation to prevent VSS from doing this again and again. And yes, please, don't recomment switching to SVN, CVS, TFS etc - there are the rules I can't change.

    Hi, I have a CMS application that manages multiple websites, today whenever i change the codebehind of one of these websites - i have to rebuild the dll for all websites, deploy it - this disconnects all current sessions and is really bad. The iis is configured to listen to all domain requests, if the request is to one of the websites' domain , the application rewrites it, or example, if someone requests for http://www.example.com, and example.com is configured in the application to be website 12, it is rewritten to http://www.example.com/websites/12/default.aspx. This is done for all websites. We want to seperate the dlls of the websites from each other, and from the main CMS, we have a virtual directory to each websites, but when trying to rewrite to it, we discover that IIS support this (we get an "Could not load type '_12._Default'". error). How can we perform this rewrite so it does rewrite to virtual directories, or if anyone has any other solution for the initial dll seperation problem. Thanks in advance

    I've tested NoSQL databases like CouchDB, MongoDB and Cassandra and observed tendence to absorbing very large amount of drive space relative to inserted key-value pairs. When comparing CouchDB and MySQL schemaless databases CouchDB is consuming much more drive space than MySQL. I know about that key-value DBs by default are versioning and have long uuid and need key optimalisation - the comparison was between about 15 mln rows in MySQL and 1-5 mln documents listed NoSQL DB's. My question is : Is there any NoSQL with good compaction / compression of data? So that I can have NoSQL database with a size closer to 5GB than 50GB?

  • Using virtual fields in Doctrine_Query

    Is there a way to insert logic based on virtual fields into a Doctrine_Query? I have defined a virtual field in my model, "getStatus()" which I would ultimately like to utilize in a Where clause in my Doctrine_Query. ... ->AndWhere('x.status = ?',$status); "status", however, is not a column in the table it is instead computed by business logic in the model. Filtering the Collection after executing the query works in some situations, but not when a Doctrine_Pager is thrown in the mix, as it computes it's offsets and such before you have access to the Collection. Am I best off ditching Doctrine_Pager and rebuilding that functionality after modifying the Doctrine_Collection?

    I have this function that gets the fileData as a byte array and a file path. The error I am getting is when it tries to set the fileInfo in the code bewlo. And the error message is 'E:/WEBS/webapp/default/images/mains/myimage.jpg' is a physical path, but a virtual path was expected. Also, what it is triggering this to happen is the following call properties.ResizeImage(imageName, Configurations.ConfigSettings.MaxImageSize, Server.MapPath(Configurations.EnvironmentConfig.LargeImagePath));

  • Pure virtual destructor in interface

    Hello all. Here is my problem. I'm making C++ dll, which extensively relies on instance object exports. So i return my actual instances as a pointers to interface through some exported factory method. Interfaces i use are purely virtual, to avoid linking problame. So i need a pure virtual destructor too, and i implemented one (with empty body, as i googled it). All compiles perfectly well, except... I can't see, if the actual destructors are called or not - because when i added some std::cout << "hello destructor"; i never get to see it. I have some explicit "delete obj", that's not the problem. Am i missing something? Is there another way to delete my object through interface?

  • Java file delete on NFS drive

    Hey guys. I am trying to delete a file on a NFS drive. I have had other problems manipulating files on remote drives such as moving a file - however i got around it by not using the conventional method i.e renameFile but instead properly using input and output streams. However using the File.delete() returns false , and I have heard suggestions on using the apache commons io FileUtils class - however it just throws an IO exception. Does anybody have any suggestions on a way to delete a file on a network mounted drive using java? Thanks
