Hello I've a xml file like: <starting> <start> <site>mushfiq.com</site> <site>mee.con</site> <site>ttttt.co</site> <site>jkjhkhjkh</site> <site>jhkhjkjhkhjkhjkjhkh</site> <site>dasdasdasdasdasdas</site> </start> </starting> Now I need to delete any ... and value will randomly be given from a textbox. Here is my code : XDocument doc = XDocument.Load(@"AddedSites.xml"); var deleteQuery = from r in doc.Descendants("start") where r.Element("site").Value == txt.Text.Trim() select r; foreach (var qry in deleteQuery) { qry.Element("site").Remove(); } doc.Save(@"AddedSites.xml"); If I put the value of first element in the textbox then it can delete it, but if I put any value of element except the first element's value it could not able to delete! I need I'll put any value of any element...as it can be 2nd element or 3rd or 4th and so on.... can anyone help me out? thanks in advanced!

  • Silverlight and Encryption, how to store/generate they key/iv pair?

    - by cmaduro
I have a Silverlight app that connects to a php webservice. I want to encrypt the communication between the webservice and the Silverlight client. I'm not relying on SSL. I'm encrypting/decrypting the POST string myself using AES 256bit Key and IV. The big questions then are: How do I generate a random unique key/iv pair in PHP. How do I share this key/iv pair between the web service and silverlight client in a secure way. It seems impossible without having some kind of hard coded key or iv on the client. Which would compromise security. This is a public website, there are no logins. Just the requirement of secure communication. I can hard code the seed for the key/iv (which is hashed with SHA256 with a time stamp salt and then assigned as the key or iv) in PHP source code, that's on the server so that is pretty safe. However on the client the seed for the key/iv pair would be visible, if it is hard coded. Further more using a time stamp as the basis for uniqueness/randomness is definitely not ok, since timestamps are predictable. It does however provide a common factor between the C# code and the PHP code. The only other option that I can think of would be to have a 3rd service involved that provides the key/iv to the Silverlight client, as well as the php webservice. This of course start the cycle anew, with the question of how to store the credentials for accessing the key/iv distribution service on the Silverlight client. Sounds like the solution is then asymmetric encryption, since sensitive data will be viewed only on the administrative back end of the website. Unfortunately Silverlight has no asymmetric encryption classes. The solution? Roll my own Diffie-Hellman key exchange! Plug that key into AES256!

  • Generating the query plan takes 5 minutes, the query itself runs in milliseconds. What's up?

    - by TheImirOfGroofunkistan
I have a fairly complex (or ugly depending on how you look at it) stored procedure running on SQL Server 2008. It bases a lot of the logic on a view that has a pk table and a fk table. The fk table is left joined to the pk table slightly more than 30 times (the fk table has a poor design - it uses name value pairs that I need to flatten out. Unfortunately, it's 3rd party and I cannot change it). Anyway, it had been running fine for weeks until I periodically noticed a run that would take 3-5 minutes. It turns out that this is the time it takes to generate the query plan. Once the query plan exists and is cached, the stored procedure itself runs very efficiently. Things run smoothly until there is a reason to regenerate and cache the query plan again. Has anyone seen this? Why does it take so long to generate the plan? Are there ways to make it come up with a plan faster?

  • Relation between [[Prototype]] and prototype in JavaScript

    - by Claudiu
From http://www.jibbering.com/faq/faq_notes/closures.html : Note: ECMAScript defines an internal [[prototype]] property of the internal Object type. This property is not directly accessible with scripts, but it is the chain of objects referred to with the internal [[prototype]] property that is used in property accessor resolution; the object's prototype chain. A public prototype property exists to allow the assignment, definition and manipulation of prototypes in association with the internal [[prototype]] property. The details of the relationship between to two are described in ECMA 262 (3rd edition) and are beyond the scope of this discussion. What are the details of the relationship between the two? I've browsed through ECMA 262 and all I've read there is stuff like: The constructor’s associated prototype can be referenced by the program expression constructor.prototype, Native ECMAScript objects have an internal property called [[Prototype]]. The value of this property is either null or an object and is used for implementing inheritance. Every built-in function and every built-in constructor has the Function prototype object, which is the initial value of the expression Function.prototype Every built-in prototype object has the Object prototype object, which is the initial value of the expression Object.prototype (15.3.2.1), as the value of its internal [[Prototype]] property, except the Object prototype object itself. From this all I gather is that the [[Prototype]] property is equivalent to the prototype property for pretty much any object. Am I mistaken?

  • How do I load new pages into my current jQuery colorbox?

    - by thinkswan
I'm having a bit of trouble loading pages into an already-existing colorbox. I have a colorbox opened by clicked a link that is bound by the following code: $("a.ajaxAddPage").colorbox({ onComplete: function(){ $('ul#addPage li a').click(function() { $.fn.colorbox({href: $(this).attr('href')}); return false; }); } }); The following HTML is loaded into that colorbox via AJAX:

Add Category

Add New Page

Add Another Page

Add New Page...

I'm trying to have each of those 3 links open in the current colorbox when they are clicked. With my onComplete binding above, this works for the first click, but the next click just opens like a normal page. If I add another onComplete to the $.fn.colorbox() call in the above code, then the 2nd click will also load in the same colorbox, but the 3rd will not. Is there a way to just bind all future clicks to open in the same colorbox? I don't know much about event binding yet. If you need clarification, please ask.

  • vb6 ADODB connection string to sql server 2008

    - by phill
    I recently migrated a database from sql server 2005 to 2008 on windows server 2008. Clients connect fine from their XP machines and so does the SQL Management Studio 2008. I have also tested a remote connection using LINQPad which worked fine. However on my VB6 app, the connection string seems to give me problems. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Dim strUserName As String Dim strPassword As String Dim sProc As String sProc = "Class_clsAdoFnx_Initialize" Me.DatabaseName = "db_app" 'Connect to SQL Server strUserName = "admin" strPassword = "mudslinger" Set cSQLConn = New ADODB.Connection '**Original connection String 'cSQLConn.CommandTimeout = 0 'cSQLConn.ConnectionString = " PROVIDER=SQLOLEDB" & _ ' ";SERVER=NET-BRAIN" & _ ' ";UID=" & strUserName & _ ' ";PWD=" & strPassword & _ ' ";DATABASE=" & Me.DatabaseName '***First attempt, no dice 'cSQLConn.ConnectionString = "Provider=sqloledb;" & _ ' "Data Source=NET-BRAIN;" & _ ' "Initial Catalog=DB_APP;" & _ ' "User Id=admin;" & _ ' "Password=mudslinger" 'cSQLConn.Open '***3rd attempt, no dice cSQLConn.Open "Provider=sqloledb;" & _ "Data Source=NET-BRAIN;" & _ "Initial Catalog=db_app;" & _ "User Id=admin;" & _ "Password=mudslinger", "admin", "mudslinger" thanks in advance.

  • IIRF redirect combine rules?

    - by Phill
I have 3 "rules". One to make sure URLs are lowercase another to include a slash at the end of directories, and a 3rd to force access to index.html pages to be thru the directory instead. The problem w/ how I have it is, sometimes this is causing multiple 301 redirects. I'd really like each rule to apply in turn and then if neccessary redirect once to the final url. For example a url might need to be converted to lowercase and have a slash added. Or may need to be lowecase and change from index.html to a directory. Any ideas how I can do this? Thanks very much. The rules are below: #LOWERCASE URLS For Directories, aspx, html files RedirectRule ^/(.*[A-Z].*(/|\.html|\.aspx))$ /#L$1#E [R=301] #ADD SLASH TO DIRECTORIES #--------------------------------------------- #Perm Redirect If: #Starts w/ Forward Slash #Match Any Characters Except (. or ?) 1 or more times #End w/ someting besides a dot, ?, or slash #If So, Perm Redirect captured piece W/ Slash At End and at front RedirectRule ^/([^.?]+[^.?/])$ /$1/ [I,R=301] #CHANGE INDEX.HTML REQUESTS TO DIRECTORY REQUESTS #--------------------------------------------- RedirectRule ^/(.*)/index\.html$ /$1/ [I,R=301]

  • What are the reasons to use dos batch programs in Windows?

    - by DVK
Question What would be a good (ideally, technical) reason to ever program some non-trivial task in dos batch language on a modern Windows system as opposed to downloading either PowerShell, or ActiveState Perl? To be more specific, I make the following two assumptions for the duration of this question: anyone technical enough to be able to write a medium-complexity batch script is technical enough to install either of the scripting interpreters. Neither of those two present enough of a learning curve for basic batch replacement tasks that said curve would outweigh the pain of doing any remotely-non-trivial task in batch. Notes "You need a batch program for autoexec.bat" is not a valid reason. Your autoexec.bat may consist of simply calling non-batch script. If you disagree with either of my 2 assumptions above, that's fine, and I may be wrong. But my question is specifically "assuming those 2 assumptions are correct, what would be the reason to still stick with batch?" If it makes it easier to suspend disbelief (in case you disagree with me), add in a 3rd assumption that the question is limited to people who already posess at least some modicum of PowerShell or Perl experience. To re-iterate - this is not meant to be a subjective question about how easy it is to learn PSh or ASPerl compared to doing advanced batch coding. That is a separate question that is too subjective to be bothered with in this post. Background: I used to do some fairly complicated batch programming back in the elder days, and remember batch as one of the worst possble programming languages I had encountered. The idea for this question came after seeing a bunch of batch questions on SO, and trying to grok the answer of one of them out of sheer curiosity and giving up in pain after a minute, exclaiming mentally "why would anyone go through this pain instead of doing that in 1 line of Perl?" :) My own plausible answer I assume there may be an an likely DOS-compatible system, which has DOS interpreter but has no compatible PowerShell or Perl... I'm not aware of one but not completely impossible.

  • Run WCF ServiceHost with multiple contracts

    - by Sam
Running a ServiceHost with a single contract is working fine like this: servicehost = new ServiceHost(typeof(MyService1)); servicehost.AddServiceEndpoint(typeof(IMyService1), new NetTcpBinding(), "net.tcp://127.0.0.1:800/MyApp/MyService1"); servicehost.Open(); Now I'd like to add a second (3rd, 4th, ...) contract. My first guess would be to just add more endpoints like this: servicehost = new ServiceHost(typeof(MyService1)); servicehost.AddServiceEndpoint(typeof(IMyService1), new NetTcpBinding(), "net.tcp://127.0.0.1:800/MyApp/MyService1"); servicehost.AddServiceEndpoint(typeof(IMyService2), new NetTcpBinding(), "net.tcp://127.0.0.1:800/MyApp/MyService2"); servicehost.Open(); But of course this does not work, since in the creation of ServiceHost I can either pass MyService1 as parameter or MyService2 - so I can add a lot of endpoints to my service, but all have to use the same contract, since I only can provide one implementation? I got the feeling I'm missing the point, here. Sure there must be some way to provide an implementation for every endpoint-contract I add, or not?

  • C# Process Exited event not firing from within webservice

    - by davidpizon
I am attempting to wrap a 3rd party command line application within a web service. If I run the following code from within a console application: Process process= new System.Diagnostics.Process(); process.StartInfo.FileName = "some_executable.exe"; // Do not spawn a window for this process process.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = true; process.StartInfo.ErrorDialog = false; // Redirect input, output, and error streams process.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false; process.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = true; process.StartInfo.RedirectStandardError = true; process.StartInfo.RedirectStandardInput = true; process.EnableRaisingEvents = true; process.ErrorDataReceived += (sendingProcess, eventArgs) => { // Make note of the error message if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(eventArgs.Data)) if (this.WarningMessageEvent != null) this.WarningMessageEvent(this, new MessageEventArgs(eventArgs.Data)); }; process.OutputDataReceived += (sendingProcess, eventArgs) => { // Make note of the message if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(eventArgs.Data)) if (this.DebugMessageEvent != null) this.DebugMessageEvent(this, new MessageEventArgs(eventArgs.Data)); }; process.Exited += (object sender, EventArgs e) => { // Make note of the exit event if (this.DebugMessageEvent != null) this.DebugMessageEvent(this, new MessageEventArgs("The command exited")); }; process.Start(); process.StandardInput.Close(); process.BeginOutputReadLine(); process.BeginErrorReadLine(); process.WaitForExit(); int exitCode = process.ExitCode; process.Close(); process.Dispose(); if (this.DebugMessageEvent != null) this.DebugMessageEvent(this, new MessageEventArgs("The command exited with code: " + exitCode)); All events, including the "process.Exited" event fires as expected. However, when this code is invoked from within a web service method, all events EXCEPT the "process.Exited" event fire. The execution appears to hang at the line: process.WaitForExit(); Would anyone be able to shed some light as to what I might be missing?

  • Auth problem on Facebook using Ruby/sinatra/frankie/facebooker

    - by user84584
Hello guys, I'm using sinatra/frankie/facebooker to prototype something simple to test the facebook api, i'm using mmangino-facebooker the more recent version from github and I cloned the most recent version of frankie. I'm using sinatra 0.9.6. My main code is as simple as possible: before do ensure_application_is_installed_by_facebook_user @user = session[:facebook_session].user @photos = session[:facebook_session].get_photos(nil,@user.uid,nil) end get "/" do erb :index end get "/:uid/:image" do |uid, image| @photo_selected = session[:facebook_session].get_photos([image.to_i],nil,nil) erb :selected end The index page just renders a link to the other one (identified by regex "/:uid/:image") however I always get an error when it's trying to render the one identified by regex "/:uid/:image" Facebooker::Session::MissingOrInvalidParameter: Invalid parameter /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/mmangino-facebooker-1.0.50/lib/facebooker/parser.rb:610:in `process' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/mmangino-facebooker-1.0.50/lib/facebooker/parser.rb:30:in `parse' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/mmangino-facebooker-1.0.50/lib/facebooker/service.rb:67:in `post' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/mmangino-facebooker-1.0.50/lib/facebooker/session.rb:600:in `post_without_logging' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/mmangino-facebooker-1.0.50/lib/facebooker/session.rb:611:in `post' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/mmangino-facebooker-1.0.50/lib/facebooker/logging.rb:20:in `log_fb_api' /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/benchmark.rb:308:in `realtime' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/mmangino-facebooker-1.0.50/lib/facebooker/logging.rb:20:in `log_fb_api' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/mmangino-facebooker-1.0.50/lib/facebooker/session.rb:610:in `post' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/mmangino-facebooker-1.0.50/lib/facebooker/session.rb:198:in `secure!' ./config/frankie/lib/frankie.rb:66:in `secure_with_token!' ./config/frankie/lib/frankie.rb:44:in `set_facebook_session' ./config/frankie/lib/frankie.rb:164:in `ensure_authenticated_to_facebook' ./config/frankie/lib/frankie.rb:169:in `ensure_application_is_installed_by_facebook_user' I've no idea why, it seems to be related with the auth token I guess.. • How to solve "catastrophic failure" with 32-bit COM component in SysWOW64\cscript or wscript

    - by kcrumley
I'm trying to run a VBScript script that uses a 7-year-old 3rd-party 32-bit COM component on Windows Server 2008 R2, with the command-line 32-bit script host, SysWOW64\cscript.exe. When I call CreateObject on the class, it appears to be successful, but the very first time I try to use a property or method (I've tried several different ones) on the object, it gives me the "catastrophic failure". I have identical results with SysWOW64\wscript.exe, except, of course, that my error message comes in a msgbox instead of the command-line window. I think this has to do specifically with the 64-bit scripting hosts because of the following: The equivalent Classic ASP script, calling the same component and using 95% of the same code, works correctly on the same server, with IIS configured to support 32-bit COM. The same VBScript works correctly on a 32-bit Windows XP machine and a 32-bit Windows Server 2003 machine. The component fails in exactly the same way on my 64-bit Windows 7 machine. My Google searches for solutions to this problem have mostly turned up a lot of different problems that were solved by putting the COM component into a toolbar in Visual Studio. Obviously, that solution doesn't apply here. My questions are: Is there a core problem that is always behind a "catastrophic failure" from a Windows scripting host calling a COM component? Is there a place in a configuration snap-in, or in the registry, where I need to make a change similar to the change I had to make to the IIS Application pool to "Enable 32-bit Applications"? Is there a general place in the Server 2008 R2 Event Viewer that I should be looking, to see if there are any more details on the failure, in case it turns out to be specific to this component? Thanks in advance.

  • Can I tell Castle Windsor to create a component in a separate AppDomain?

    - by Michael L Perry
    I've created a multi-threaded service that uses Castle Windsor to create components to run on separate threads. I Resolve an component by name with parameters for each thread. I'm running into concurrency problems with a 3rd party library used by the components. I suspect that isolating those components in separate AppDomains will resolve the problem. Is there a way to have Resolve create the component using a different AppDomain? private ActivityThread NewActivityThread(ActivityInstance activityInstance) { // Set up the creation arguments. System.Collections.IDictionary arguments = new Dictionary<string, string>(); activityInstance.Parameters.ForEach(p => arguments.Add(p.Name, p.Value)); // Get the activity handler from the container. IActivity activity = Program.Container.Resolve<IActivity>(activityInstance.Name, arguments); // Create a thread for the activity. ActivityThread thread = new ActivityThread(activity, activityInstance, _nextActivityID++); return thread; } public ActivityThread(IActivity activity, ActivityInstance instance, int id) { _activity = activity; _instance = instance; _id = id; } public void Start() { if (_thread == null) { // Create a new thread to run this activity. _thread = new Thread(delegate() { _activity.Run(); }); _thread.Name = _activity.ToString(); _thread.SetApartmentState(ApartmentState.STA); _thread.Start(); } }

  • how to use a regex to search backwards effectively?

    - by Asaf
hi, i'm searching forward in an array of strings with a regex, like this: for (int j = line; j < lines.length; j++) { if (lines[j] == null || lines[j].isEmpty()) { continue; } matcher = pattern.matcher(lines[j]); if (matcher.find(offset)) { offset = matcher.end(); line = j; System.out.println("found \""+matcher.group()+"\" at line "+line+" ["+matcher.start()+","+offset+"]"); return true; } offset = 0; } return false; note that in my implementation above i save the line and offset for continuous searches. anyway, now i want to search backwards from that [line, offset]. my question: is there a way to search backwards with a regex efficiently? if not, what could be an alternative? 10x, asaf :-) clarification: by backwards i mean finding the previous match. for example, say that i'm searching for "dana" in "dana nama? dana kama! lama dana kama?" and got to the 2nd match. if i do matcher.find() again, i'll search forward and get the 3rd match. but i want to seach backwards and get to the 1st match. the code above should then output something like: found "dana" at line 0 [0,3] // fwd found "dana" at line 0 [11,14] // fwd found "dana" at line 0 [0,3] // bwd

  • SQL Server transaction log backups,

    - by krimerd
Hi there, I have a question regarding the transaction log backups in sql server 2008. I am currently taking full backups once a week (Sunday) and transaction log backups daily. I put full backup in folder1 on Sunday and then on Monday I also put the 1st transaction log backup in the same folder. On tuesday, before I take the 2nd transaction log backup I move the first transaction log backup from folder1 an put it into folder2 and then I take the 2nd transaction log backup and put it in the folder1. Same thing on Wed, Thurs and so on. Basicaly in folder1 I always have the latest full backup and the latest transaction log backup while the other transaction log backups are in folder2. My questions is, when sql server is about to take, lets say 4th (Thursday) transaction log backup, does it look for the previous transac log backups (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) so that this new backup will only include the transactions from the last backup or it has some other way of knowing whether there are other transac log backups. Basically, I am asking this because all my transaction log backups seem to be about the same size and I thought that their size will depend on the amount of transactions since the last transaction log backup. Can anyone please explain if my assumptions are right? Thanks...

  • How to read Unicode characters from command-line arguments in Python on Windows

    - by Craig McQueen
I want my Python script to be able to read Unicode command line arguments in Windows. But it appears that sys.argv is a string encoded in some local encoding, rather than Unicode. How can I read the command line in full Unicode? Example code: argv.py import sys first_arg = sys.argv[1] print first_arg print type(first_arg) print first_arg.encode("hex") print open(first_arg) On my PC set up for Japanese code page, I get: C:\temp>argv.py "PC·??????08.09.24.doc" PC·??????08.09.24.doc <type 'str'> 50438145835c83748367905c90bf8f9130382e30392e32342e646f63 <open file 'PC·??????08.09.24.doc', mode 'r' at 0x00917D90> That's Shift-JIS encoded I believe, and it "works" for that filename. But it breaks for filenames with characters that aren't in the Shift-JIS character set—the final "open" call fails: C:\temp>argv.py Jörgen.txt Jorgen.txt <type 'str'> 4a6f7267656e2e747874 Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\temp\argv.py", line 7, in <module> print open(first_arg) IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'Jorgen.txt' Note—I'm talking about Python 2.x, not Python 3.0. I've found that Python 3.0 gives sys.argv as proper Unicode. But it's a bit early yet to transition to Python 3.0 (due to lack of 3rd party library support). Update: A few answers have said I should decode according to whatever the sys.argv is encoded in. The problem with that is that it's not full Unicode, so some characters are not representable. Here's the use case that gives me grief: I have enabled drag-and-drop of files onto .py files in Windows Explorer. I have file names with all sorts of characters, including some not in the system default code page. My Python script doesn't get the right Unicode filenames passed to it via sys.argv in all cases, when the characters aren't representable in the current code page encoding. There is certainly some Windows API to read the command line with full Unicode (and Python 3.0 does it). I assume the Python 2.x interpreter is not using it.

  • Some questions about slugs in ASP.NET MVC content system

    - by mare
In my application I'm currently using forms which allow to enter Title and Slug fields. Now I've been struggling with the slugs thing for a while because I can never decide once and for all how to handle them. 1) Make Title and Slug indenpendent Should I allow users to enter both Title and Slug separetely? This is what I had first. I also had an option that if user did not enter the Slug it was derived from the Title. If both were enter, the Slug field took precedence. 2) Derive Slug from Title, when content is inserted that's it for the Slug, no more changes Then, I switched to only Title field and derive Slug from title. While doing it I found out that now I have to change all the forms that allowed user to enter a slug. This way of doing it also prevents users to change Slugs - they can change the Title but it has no effect on the Slug. You can think of it like Slug is uniqued ID. 3) Now I'm thinking again of allowing users to change slug Though I don't think it is all that useful. How many times does the content that someone already added, spent time on writing it, even require a change of either Title or slug? I don't think it is that many times. The biggest problem with the 3rd option is that If I use Slugs as IDs, I need to update the reference all over the place when Slug changes. Or maintain a table that would contain somekind of Slug history. What are you thoughts on these, I hope, valid questions?

  • What are best practices for collecting, maintaining and ensuring accuracy of a huge data set?

    - by Kyle West
I am posing this question looking for practical advice on how to design a system. Sites like amazon.com and pandora have and maintain huge data sets to run their core business. For example, amazon (and every other major e-commerce site) has millions of products for sale, images of those products, pricing, specifications, etc. etc. etc. Ignoring the data coming in from 3rd party sellers and the user generated content all that "stuff" had to come from somewhere and is maintained by someone. It's also incredibly detailed and accurate. How? How do they do it? Is there just an army of data-entry clerks or have they devised systems to handle the grunt work? My company is in a similar situation. We maintain a huge (10-of-millions of records) catalog of automotive parts and the cars they fit. We've been at it for a while now and have come up with a number of programs and processes to keep our catalog growing and accurate; however, it seems like to grow the catalog to x items we need to grow the team to y. I need to figure some ways to increase the efficiency of the data team and hopefully I can learn from the work of others. Any suggestions are appreciated, more though would be links to content I could spend some serious time reading. THANKS! Kyle

  • MIPS return address in main

    - by Alexander
I am confused why in the code below I need to decrement the stack pointer and store the return address again. If I don't do that... then PCSpim keeps on looping.. Why is that? ######################################################################################################################## ### main ######################################################################################################################## .text .globl main main: addi $sp, $sp, -4 # Make space on stack sw $ra, 0($sp) # Save return address # Start test 1 ############################################################ la $a0, asize1 # 1st parameter: address of asize1[0] la $a1, frame1 # 2nd parameter: address of frame1[0] la $a2, window1 # 3rd parameter: address of window1[0] jal vbsme # call function # Printing $v0 add $a0, $v0, $zero # Load $v0 for printing li $v0, 1 # Load the system call numbers syscall # Print newline. la $a0, newline # Load value for printing li $v0, 4 # Load the system call numbers syscall # Printing $v1 add $a0, $v1, $zero # Load $v1 for printing li $v0, 1 # Load the system call numbers syscall # Print newline. la $a0, newline # Load value for printing li $v0, 4 # Load the system call numbers syscall # Print newline. la $a0, newline # Load value for printing li $v0, 4 # Load the system call numbers syscall ############################################################ # End of test 1 lw $ra, 0($sp) # Restore return address addi $sp, $sp, 4 # Restore stack pointer jr $ra # Return ######################################################################################################################## ### vbsme ######################################################################################################################## #.text .globl vbsme vbsme: addi $sp, $sp, -4 # create space on the stack pointer sw $ra, 0($sp) # save return address exit: add $v1, $t5, $zero # (v1) x coordinate of the block in the frame with the minimum SAD add $v0, $t4, $zero # (v0) y coordinate of the block in the frame with the minimum SAD lw $ra, 0($sp) # restore return address addi $sp, $sp, 4 # restore stack pointer jr $ra # return If I delete: addi $sp, $sp, -4 # create space on the stack pointer sw $ra, 0($sp) # save return address and lw $ra, 0($sp) # restore return address addi $sp, $sp, 4 # restore stack pointer on vbsme: PCSpim keeps on running... Why??? I shouldn't have to increment/decrement the stack pointer on vbsme and then do the jr again right? The jal in main is supposed to handle that

  • Creating a horizontal fluid layout in css that works like a table

    - by ivordesign
Basically what i am after is a fluid solution in css, that is similar to the table layout below. The principal behind this layout is 3x3 grid where by a user can add content into the first fluid area and it will expand the complete width of the page. But if that user decides that he wants content in the 2nd and 3rd area, all 3 td's fill up 33% of the width. Effectively what i am asking is how do i create a css based layout that can do the same as the table layout?

fluid area here

fluid area here

fluid area here

fluid area here

fluid area here

fluid area here

fluid area here

fluid area here

fluid area here

  • SimpleModal load external HTML page in dialog

    - by Bart
Is it possible to load an external HTML file into a variable and then use this variable to load the SimpleModal dialog? Something like this: $(document).ready(function($) { var externalPage $.get("Renderer.htm"); $('#basic-modal .basic').click(function(e) { $(externalPage).modal(); return false; }); }); An alternative solution (that works) is loading the external HTML file in a hidden div and then use this to load the dialog. $(document).ready(function($) { $('#simplemodal-content').hide(); // or hide in css $('#simplemodal-content').load("Renderer.htm"); $('#basic-modal .basic').click(function(e) { $('#simplemodal-content').modal(); return false; }); }); However if I take this approach the css defined for the external page can interfere with my local page and thus change the layout, which is not desired. If there's a 3rd solution that's better than these approaches, please share. PS: sadly it also has to work perfectly in IE6.

  • Selector and Iterating Through a Table Within a Div

    - by GregH
I have been working on this and cannot get this iterator to work. I have the following HTML and am trying to iterate through all rows (except the first row) and extract the values in cells (td) 2 and 3 :

$1.00

UserID1

Single

$6.99

UserID2

Multiple

... .....(snip) I tried the following iterator to iterate through all except the first row of the table that is a child of "div#statsID" and get the values of the 2nd and 3rd cells (in the example, the first extracted cells would have values of "UserID1" and "Single"), but it doesn't work. $('div#statsId > table tr:not(:nth-child(1))').each(function(i, ele) { var secondCol = $('td:nth-child(2)', ele).innerHTML var thirdCol= $('td:nth-child(3)', ele).text() ..... }); Any suggestions on how to specify and iterate through the rows (except the first) of a table that is a child of a div would be appreciated.

  • Search SharePoint ULS Logs with Windows

    - by djeeg
Hi, I have a standard/new Windows 2008 R2 install with SharePoint 2010 and am looking for a SharePoint expectation that occurred sometime during the last week. So I open windows explorer, then go to the logs directory (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS). In the toolbar I can enter some search text (exception) or i can Ctrl-F which puts my cursor in the same search box. First it searches the filenames, comes back with no results, and then i click File Contents. And it comes back with still no results. Now I think, maybe there are no errors, so i search for something that I know is in the log (w3wp), still no results. In previous versions of windows, i could usually fix this by making *.log files read as text. But apparently (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725753(WS.10).aspx) *.log files should already be read as text. Any idea how to make the search, really search log files. I would prefer a solution that did not involve installing any 3rd party software (eg like ULSViewer), but registry/powershell settings are okay.

  • Strange xml/html accent issue

    - by Ayrad
I have an XML file that contains a message with html tags in it. The XML file is read by a java class that mails it to people. When the mail is received, the accents do not show. For example é doesn't show. I have tried é in the xml but it gives an error in eclipse saying that the entity has not been declared. I also tried simply inserting é but that shows nothing in the final output. The 3rd thing I tried was using é but that broke the parser since it didn't output anything after it. However I noticed something weird. When i put something like this in the xml and added UTF-16 encoding <message>text bla bla blaa é< it did ouput the é at the end like this bla bla blaa blaa é. EDIT <message>text bla bla blaa éé< outputs ?é or just one é The file looks something like this: <?xml version="1.0"? encoding="UTF-16"> <message> <b>hello é </b> </message> </xml> What gives?

  • How to separate ear classloader and system classloader in JBoss 6?

    - by dskiles
I'm trying to upgrade from JBoss 4.2.1 to JBoss 6. In JBoss 4.2.1, we are manually deploying our application as an exploded war and everything works beautifully. I'm running into problems because the application that I am trying to deploy uses versions of 3rd party libraries that are older than the ones that JBoss 6 now includes by default. The result of this is that I'm getting classloader conflicts all over the place and the application won't even start. At present, I have tried using the JBoss Classloading Documentation as well as the scanty bits of documentation for jboss-classloading.xml and haven't had any success. Has anyone out there managed to do this successfully? If you have, how did you do it? I've included a stack trace below in case it offers any useful information.
