• How to move iframe along the DOM without losing it's content?

  Is it possible? I have tried to move it, but iframe contents dissapear. Tried to get contents of iframe and place them in the new place but all handlers ofc dissapear. Tried to do the same, but with new jQuery 1.4.2 feature, that clones all events along with it. But it doesn't work :) So I have decided to ask here for help. How to move the damn iframe to another place in the document without losing it's contents? ^_^ Thanks Added: txtad_iframe = ad_container.find('iframe'); its_contents = txtad_iframe.contents(); its_body = its_contents.find("div:first").clone(true).insertAfter(cthis.find('#photos')); new_ad.append(its_body); Here i'm trying to copy contents to new ad container. But it doesn't work. Context banner doesn't react on click event. I have tried to move ad_container to container, but iframe body content dissapears.

• When using source control, what files should actually be commited?

  I am working on a small project, hosted on Google Code, using SVN for source control. This is my first time using source control, and I'm a bit confused about what I should actually be committing to the repository. My project is very simple: A Class Library project, written in C#. The actual code that I have written is a single file. My question is this: Should I be committing the entire project (including directories like Debug, Release, Properties, etc.) or just my main .cs file? Thanks, After fighting with Subversion for a while (note to self: do not reset repository), it looks like I finally have it working with the directories laid out properly.   I have created the DateTimePicker control. Now i want to add localization Support with this. I have followed the below steps. Created CustomControls.de-DE.resx inside the ResourceFolder. added some commonly used strings in that resx file changed the access modifier to Public added <SupportedCulture>de-DE;</SupportedCulture> in the csproj file. set System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture = new System.Globalization.CultureInfo("de-DE"); in sample.cs file before IntializeComponent(). my DateTimevalue was " 2 Day(s): 3 Hr (s): 5 Min(s) : 32 Sec (s) Getting only default language that is english. What i did wrong? Please help me anyone. Is anything i missed?

  Hi, We are doing the following in the Application_Start (Global.ascx.cs) for a WCF Service hosted by IIS 7.0 (integrated pipeline). var mapperConfigurations = AppDomain.CurrentDomain.GetAssemblies() .SelectMany(a => a.GetExportedTypes().Where(t => typeof (IMapperConfiguration).IsAssignableFrom(t) && t.IsClass)) .ToList(); The web-service has 8-10 assemblies in its bin folder and each of them have multiple implementations of IMapperConfiguration. After an IIS Reset, no mapper configurations are found (found this using debug.write). However, this behaviour is inconsistent and at other times all implementations of IMapperConfiguration are found. When exactly does IIS load assemblies and what is wrong with this code? Thanks

• Database migration

  We are migrating a client's own database schema to our own (both SQL-Server). Most of the mappings from their schema to ours have been indentified and rules been agreed on if the columns don't exactly align (default values etc.) Previously, depending on who was assigned the task, this has been done either with a mixture of sql scripts or one-off vb apps. I was thinking there must be a application (commercial or otherwise) where you can assign these mappings/rules and have it stream the data across. Surely the setting up and configuration of this tool would be less than the creation of ad-hoc scripts... Is there an app? Apart from the obvious 'be careful' any tips to mitigate the stress of a non-DBA porting one schema to another?

• Cure for puzzle piece programming habbits?

  Even though I went to a decent CS school, I was still taught with the mentality of programming with puzzle pieces. By puzzle pieces I mean, looking up code segments at each step of the development process and adding them together as needed. Eventually gathering all of the pieces and having a properly working program. So as an example, if in my program the next step is to tokenize a string, I go to google and search "how do I tokenize a string in language". All instead of critically thinking about its implementation. I personally don't think its a very good way to program and I always seem to forget everything that I have searched for. So how can I get out of this puzzle piece mode of programmer that I was taught.

  I know it's usually the other way around, but I have some extenuating requirements that must be met (read as "No one bothered to do the research and now I have to bail them out") I have a standard user control (ascx) that is to be imported into a SharePoint 2007 website. Due to a design constraint, a sharepoint web part that is also needed has to be nested inside of this user control. So in other words, the user control would have to look something like this: <%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="foo.ascx.cs" Inherits="foo" %> <div id="container"> ...snipped... <!-- SharePoint web part goes here --> ...snipped... </div> Any help would be appreciated. • How to create a web framework in C# without ASP?

  I've managed to get a C# asp page running under ubuntu/apache/mono, but I don't want to write my framework in these ASP pages, I want to use straight C# and then I'll use a templating language for my views. But I don't know where to begin? C# is a compiled language, so... how would I do this? Would I compile everything and then have apache hook into the (single) executable and pass in the the request URL? Could I request specific .cs pages and then have apache tell it to compile and then "display" it only if it's been updated? Can the "view" files be compiled individually to avoid having to recompile everything every time there's a change? Is there some "base" I can work from, or am I going to have to reinvent accessing GET and POST variables (by reading header info) and all sorts of other stuff we take for granted in languages like PHP?

• algorithm to combine data for linear fit?

  I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this, but you guys have been helpful with plenty of my CS homework in the past so I figure I'll give it a shot. I'm looking for an algorithm to blindly combine several dependent variables into an index that produces the best linear fit with an external variable. Basically, it would combine the dependent variables using different mathematical operators, include or not include each one, etc. until an index is developed that best correlates with my external variable. Has anyone seen/heard of something like this before? Even if you could point me in the right direction or to the right place to ask, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

  For my latest CS homework, I am required to create a class called Movie which holds title, director, year, rating, actors etc. Then, I am required to read a file which contains a list of this info and store it in a vector of pointers to Movies. I am not sure what the last line means. Does it mean, I read the file, create multiple Movie objects. Then make a vector of pointers where each element (pointer) points to one of those Movie objects? Do I just make two vectors - one of pointers and one of Movies and make a one-to-one mapping of the two vectors?

  I have created a VBScript which pulls the service tag, username, and computer name from a computer. What I need to do now is compile this information in a text document. How it's set up is as follows: We have an Active Directory Server, with a folder for login scripts. I have created a batch file to run this .vbs script, and the script works well so far. What I now need is for a file on the AD server, called "logging.txt", to be populated with the information that is created with the .vbs script.   Say you have an ASP.NET MVC project and are using a service layer, such as in this contact manager tutorial on the asp.net site: http://www.asp.net/mvc/tutorials/iteration-4-make-the-application-loosely-coupled-cs If you have viewmodels for your views, is the service layer the appropriate place to provide each viewmodel? For instance, in the service layer code sample there is a method public IEnumerable<Contact> ListContacts() { return _repository.ListContacts(); } If instead you wanted a IEnumerable, should it go in the service layer, or is there somewhere else that is the "correct" place? Perhaps more appropriately, if you have a separate viewmodel for each view associated with ContactController, should ContactManagerService have a separate method to return each viewmodel? If the service layer is not the proper place, where should viewmodel objects be initialized for use by the controller?

• Do I have partial view/code behind in Flask?

In .NET I have MasterPage, UserControl, PartialView each has its own code behind. e.g. I can save the check login functions in Login.ascx.cs and render the Login.ascx wherever I'd like to. If logged in, it shows the welcome message, else shows the login form. But in Flask I only found {% include 'login.html' %} which include the static html file. How can I implement this design in Flask?

What I want is for B to only be able to call foo() on other Bs, and for C to only be able to call foo() on other Cs. But I want this to be out of the hands of the programmer who's extending my A class - that is, I want a way to ensure this functionality within As code alone. What can I do? • SharePoint Returning a 401.1 for a Specific User/Computer

  We have a SharePoint Services 3.0 site set up supporting about 300 users right now. This report is isolated and has never been duplicated. We have one AD user who cannot log into the SharePoint site with his account from his machine and is subsequently returned a 401.1 error. If any other user tries to log on with their account from his machine, it works okay. If he moves to another machine and logs on, it works okay. The only solution to this point has been to install FireFox on the machine. When he authenticates with FF, everything is okay. Remedies tried so far: Cleared cookies/cache Turned off/on Integrated Windows Authentication in IE Downgraded IE 8 to IE 6 Removed site from Intranet Sites zone Renamed the machine Disjoined/Rejoined Domain

  I want to know why some ad codes or embed codes don't directly give you iframe code to embed on your site instead they give a javascript code which links to another javascript file on their server. The file on their server calls the iframe which serves the content. Why is this done and what are the benefits of this method. Example: this is the code issued by amazon: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/s/ads.js"></script> Which opens another javascript file that calls the iframe.

  Hi All, I am setting up a Continuous Integration server. I have one issue that doesn't seem to be mentioned in the tutorials. I have a ASP.net Web Application that I need to compile and them publish. My Problem is that I seem to be able to compile the app but when I attempt to use a buildPublisher this copies every thing including .svn files & folders and ms CS files. I am using an MSBuild task to compile my source. I tried setting my MSBuild Output Directory to directory but this didn't seem to have any effect. What am I not understanding? Thanks

• How to set ItemsSource?

  This dialog makes no sense to me And I'm having trouble finding good tutorials on it. Most of the examples aren't detailed enough, or do stuff via code, but I'd like to take advantage of the IDE as much as possible. Whats the difference between ItemsSource and DataContext? I'd like to bind it to just a List for starters. I don't need SQL or databases or anything fancy. Where would I declare my list? In MainWindow.xaml.cs? How do I get it to appear in that dialog?
