    Hi there, I've used MSMQ on a windows 2003 server before and noticed I could monitor the public and private queues. Does anyone know if you can do this on windows 2008 server? If so, how do I access it because I've search and can't find a way to monitor this. At least not from a GUI interface like before.

VPN 1 PPTP IP : 192.168.2.0/24 DNS : 192.168.2.32; 192.168.2.34 (Windows 2003) Domain : old.com Forwarder : 192.168.2.1 (Gateway running DNS) DD-WRT VPN 2 OpenVPN using Routing -- I'm going to switch to bridging IP : 192.168.10.0/24 DNS : 192.168.10.10 (Windows 2008) Domain : xyz.dc Forwarder : 192.168.10.1 (Gateway running DNS) ClearOS When I'm connected I would like to resolve host names on both networks without fully qualifying them.

    I have two Windows Server 2003 machines sitting in a network. Server B has port 25 open and can relay emails to the local network's smtp server. Server A does not have port 25 open. How can I set it up to send emails through another port to the SMTP server? I am thinking if I can setup a local SMTP communication between my servers on a different port and let Server B send Server A's emails. Is that possible?

    I have a friend on the same network as me hosting a virtual machine using vmware server.The guest OS is Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003.He granted me administrative priveleges for the machine but when i try to add a user to that VM it says access denied. Moreover when i try to start the VM remotely using the command vmrun -T server -h https://computer-name.domain.com:8333/sdk -u domain/user -p passwd start "[standard] Win2k3Client1/Win2k3Client1.vmx" This shows unsufficient priveleges on host operating system but i am able to login with same username password on VMWare Web Access

  • Best Free Windows Imaging Software For Servers

    We are running two physical servers both Windows 2003, not virtualized. What is the best free (if any) windows software to take a full image backup of the entire drives? If possible, while the image is taking place, it should not bring the hosts to their knees with excess CPU or I/O usage. The servers have RAID mirroring, but after hearing a few horror stories about hacked systems, we need to have weekly full image backups, so we can simply revert to a pre-hacked image. Thanks.

    We have a hidden file with a space at the end of the file name. Usually, I take ownership of the file, then use a command line rename with the 8.3 (dir/x) file name. However, rename doesn't acknowledge hidden or system files. Any ideas on how to remove it? The original creator cannot access the file. The system is a Windows 2003 server with NTFS and SMB file sharing (normal windows file sharing).

I wanna have a diagram with the following table Apple 30 40 50 Pears 200 300 400 Bananas 10 20 30 The weird thing, when I try to draw a bar diagram the order of the bars change. So Excel draws me first the Bananas, the the pears and finally the apple bar... Is there anyway to tell Excel 2003 that it keeps the order? Thank you very much

When I join a PC to the new domain it creates a new profile. How can I migrate (or whats an easy way) the local profile to this new domain profile?     What are the pros and cons of spinning up an internal certificate authority (primarily Windows 2003 CA)? We have the need to encypt server-server traffic on a project that has 20+ certificates. We could buy certs from Verisign, but I was thinking that an internal CA might be a better long term solution.     I've got a Windows 2003 Active Directory infrastructure, and there are times (such as when terminating an employee) that I want instantaneous propagation across both of my AD servers. Currently, I make the change in both places, which I suspect is unhealthy, but it's the only way I know to make sure that the account is disabled to every machine. Is there a better way? Do I have to wait for the normal propagation time for convergence, or is there a way to "force" it?

    I have a .vmdk (VMWare hard disk) file that I cannot use as the lone disk in a new virtual machine. If I attach it to an existing virtual machine then it works fine. It has Windows Server 2003 on it. When I attempt to boot the new VM it attempts a network boot. EDIT: VMWare Workstation 6.5 I could not find a PXE option in the settings, and I did look in the VM config file for "PXE" but did not find one.
