  • Prevent image cropping when making sprites from gif

    Hey guys I've tried several tools (imagemagic, gif2png, Nconverter) to extract frames to make sprites from a .gif image that i have. I get the .pngs just fine, but they'r not the same size, some are 50x65 some 43x65 some 50x70, Which really screws any attempts at a descent animation. So is there a way to prevent this cropping or programmatically add extra transparent space to smaller ones and make them all the same size? Thanks.

  • IE image map remains clickable behind another div

    I have an Image Map of the United States. When you click on a state, the map fades out and a map of that state appears with an image map of the area codes in the state. In Firefox, Safari, and Chrome, the state map becomes clickable and the United States map becomes unclickable until you close the sate popover. However in Internet Explorer, the United States map remains clickable through the state popover, and I cannot click on any area codes. Obviously none of them is perfect but I was curious if someone came up with a better solution to this problem. Also is there any rails plugin to aid with that ? Thanks

    I have a submit button that changes when the user hovers his mouse over it. Right now the image is taking a while to load and you get a half second where there is white screen instead of the other button. Is there anyway to improve this using just CSS and HTML or do I need to do some JS work?

  • Jquery 3d image carousel - IE6 transparency

    I'm using the 3d image carousel available at http://www.professorcloud.com/mainsite/carousel.htm . It's great but I've hit a wall with regards to transparency support for IE6. As the images are being manipulated by java after they are loaded, it's quite a headache. All the mainstream png fixes fail in one way or another...either breaking the carousel or being broken by the animation of the carousel. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can get round this (without using PNG8, .gif etc).
