  • Margin animate problem with Monitor display settings

    I have an issue with an animation on a webpage. I have this div with text inside of it that I set the margin using css and when the page is loaded I use jquery to animate the div to a certain part of the page. The problem is it works with my concrete pixel settings, but if I change the properties of the monitor display settings in screen resolution(pixels), the div does not animate to the appropriate spot and it doesn't even start off at the appropriate spot from the css. Sample code: #div{ position:absolute; top:20px; left:50px } $("#div").animate({marginLeft: "250px"},2000); Is there a way to have the settings of the animation margin end at the approriate position no matter what the screen resolution is?

    I am still fairly new to C# and I am trying to decide the best way to structure a new program. Here is what I want to do and I would like feed back on my idea. Presentation Layer Business Layer (Separate Class Library) Data Layer (Separate Class Library) Model Layer (Separate Class Library) What I am struggling with is if it is ok to have the classes in the Data Layer and Business Layer inherit from the types I define in Model Layer. This way I can extended the types as needed in my Business Layer with any new properties I see fit. I might not use every property from the Model type in my Business Layer class but is that really a big deal? If this isn't clear enough I can try and put together an example.

  • MVC4 dynamically changing master layout page doesn't work on first load

    I have an MVC4 mobile project that I want to add a desktop (non mobile) page to for some users. I have added a new desktop master page and assigned my view to use it. The first time I navigate to the page it renders using jquerymobile which appears to somehow be cached from the previous screen. If I hit F5 to refresh the page it displays using the assigned desktop masterpage correctly. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Any insight appreciated

  • How to use Vendor Properties in Multiple Backgrounds?

    I want to use multiple backgrounds in css, which are currently supported by Firefox 3.61, Chrome/Safari, supposedly Opera10.5 (doesn't run on gnu/linux). It is working fine, however i would like to use linear-gradients as a background. it works ok for Firefox, doesn't work at all with Chrome, yet i can't figure out how to make it work for both at the same time. any clues? http://snook.ca/archives/html_and_css/multiple-bg-css-gradients came the closest to match what i need, but i couldn't get it to work with chrome yet.

  • How do I make this scroll layout work?

    I am currently trying to get my UI to have a Title Bar, a bottom Button bar, with a ScrollView in between. I can get bits and pieces of it to work, but once I get a different piece working, the old part goes back to not showing up. Here is a picture of my UI on the left, with what I want it to look like on the right...(sorry for the sloppiness, I edited it in MS Paint :P ) To sum it up, I want the Version and Type fields to be moved with room for the other TextViews in the XML file, and I want both buttons to appear on the bottom bar.   • i want to have some cross browser consistency on my fieldsets, do you know how can i do it?

    i have this problem with fieldsets... have a look at http://i.imgur.com/IRrXB.png is it possible to achieve what i want with css??? believe me, i tried! as you can see on the img, i just want the look of the legend to be consistent across browsers, i want it to use the width of the fieldset no more (like chrome and ie) no less (like firefox), dont worry about the rounded corners and other issues, thats taken care of. heres the the core i'm using.     In a project I have a folder src for all application source code and a different folder test for all junit test (both with a simular package hierarchy). Now I want that Ant can run all tests in in test folder, bot the problem is that now also files in the src folder with "Test" in the filename are included.     Hi all, When loading an executable then segments like the code, data, bss and so on need to be placed in memory. I am just wondering, if someone could tell me where on a standard x86 for example the libc library is placed. Is that at the top or bottom of memory.     Hello, I have two (Eclipse-) projects. Project A depends on project B, but the projects aren't nested i.e. project A is not a subproject of project B. Apache Ivy is responsible for the dependency management. When I run the compile task in Project A, is there any way to trigger the compile task (in project B) automatically (for example if the jar file of project B doesn't exist)?     Hi, I have a jasper report with 4 subreports in the detail band of the master report. If data is available for first subreport, it starts displaying from page 1 with the header of the subreport. When second subreport starts printing data, it prints only header in page 1 and the page breaks and in the page 2, it prints header again n data for that. I dont want the header of the second subreport to be printed in page1. It should start print in the page 2. How to solve this..? How could i page break...? its urgent.Please help.   • Question about migrating from ASP .NET User Controls to .NET 3.5 Master Page technology

    When migrating from an ASP .NET user control -based page with a header, footer, and menu to a Master Page using the same HTML mark-up, is it normal for CSS or javascript behaviors to change slightly? In particular, the submenu bar text now appears run together (which looks like a CSS symptom) and the graphics on the line above it appear to have an incorrect z-order. (The menu operation is javascript-based.) (I tried to paste images here but couldn't.) Also, the site is very large and we've not been given permission to redo the menu for the entire site. This is a forward-only migration. (Because I know that someone will ask.) Assuming that there are no changes in scope, what are the things that I should check? Thanks! Jim
