  In the Script documents that asp.net automatically generates how can I surround the whole generated scripts with try/catch statement to avoid 'Microsoft JScript Compilation error' My issue is: i got a DevExpress control (ASPxGridView) that added and set-up in run time, since i activated the grouping functionality in the grid I still get JS error says ';' expected whenever i use (click) on one of grouping/sorting abilities, I activated script Debugging for IE, in the JS code turns out that there is no missing ';' and once i click ignore for the error msg that VS generates every thing works fine, and surly end-user can't see this msg so i figured out if i try/catch the script that may help avoid this error. (Event handler of another class). Clicking on button generate exception Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute What to do?

  I have a project in ASP.NET MVC1 using VB.NET controlers and JqGrid. it works fine under MVC1. After migrating the project to ASP.NET MVC2, the grid is no longer populated. It seems that there is some new restrictions on returned Jsonresult in MVC2. How to solve this in VB.NET. Controler function populating the jqgrid is something like this : Function GetGridRecordset(ByVal qry As String) As JsonResult Dim result = New JsonResult() ... ... • HTML, CSS, Javascript - Problem with hiding/showing elements

  I'm using the Blueprint CSS grid for my HTML page. I have a table which I want to show/hide - linking it to a button, using jQuery. The problem is that everytime I click on the button to show/hide the table, everything on the page shifts slightly left-right. Is this a common problem? Does anyone know what could be causing this and what I could do to fix the other elements of the page such that they do not move? Edit: grammar.

  Hi, I need a little help with ClientDatasets in Delphi. What I want to achieve is a grid showing customers, where one of the columns shows the number of orders for each customer. I put a ClientDataset on a form and load Customers.xml from Delphi demo-data. Another ClienDataset is loaded with orders.xml. Relatively simple, I can define an aggregate on the orders CDS showing the total amount per customer (or the count). (See Cary Jensens article on this: http://edn.embarcadero.com/article/29272) The problem is getting this aggregate result from orders dataset into the customer dataset. It is kind of an reverse lookup, since there is a 1-n relationship between customers and orders, not an n-1 as normally in lookup scenarios. Any ideas ? Søren

I know that i can use the HTML HELPER (.labelfor(.. .inputTextFor(... ) ..but i don't like to write the html tags around the fields and labels ( ... ) I want that all the form in my application look similar and, if a change is needed i want to make it in one place ( ex in the "FormComponentFactory()" for example ) I created my own FormComponent but i find myself reinvent the wheel..

• Webwork actions, the lifecycle of variables declared in the action class.

  Hi all, I'm using the webwork framework (JIRA plugin development) and was wondering about the lifecycle of the variables in the action class. I have a few private variables in the action class that are set when during the doDefault() method. These are used in the input view to set up jqGrid columns and then when the user has entered some data they click submit which puts the grid data into a hidden input. The next thing that happens is the doValidation() method is called before the doExecute(), which displays the input view if there are any errors. The problem is that the variables set up in the doDefault() method are now null. Can anyone explain to me how the lifecycle of variables works in the webwork actions? Cheers

• Silverlight Scrollable Content Problem

  I am fairy new to Silverlight and I have a problem. I have a grid on a page that is resizable when the user resizes their browser window. In one of the grids columns I want to display dynamically added content that is scrollable, as there is more data than space available. I currently have a scrollViewer with a stack panel inside it, that i programmatically add a user control to and then several user controls to that control depending on the amount of content. My problem is this. The scrollViewer does not respect the available space and as such displays its content outside of the viewable area when there is more data than space. i.e. it does not uses it is not scrollable nature. Hopefully this is something simple that I have missed, but i am banging my head against the wall at the moment. Any help gratefully received.

(I'll update if I receive a response) I'm a bit lost on this one, I've tried messing around with geom_polygon but successive attempts seem worse than the previous. The image that I'm trying to recreate is this, the colours are unimportant, but the positions are: In addition to creating this, I also need to be able to label each element with text. At this point, I'm not expecting a solution (although that would be ideal) but pointers or similar examples would be immensely helpful. One option that I played with was hacking scale_shape and using 1,1 as coords. But was stuck with being able to add labels. The reason I'm doing this with ggplot, is because I'm generating scorecards on a company by company basis. This is only one plot in a 4 x 10 grid of other plots (using pushViewport) Note: The top tier of the pyramid could also be a rectangle of similar size.

  Hey guys, I am trying to create a grid like system with div's with content floated left. The problem is that the height of each div is not static since the content is different in each one. Since the height is different.. things get outta whack if one is taller then another in one row. Is there some sort of css way or js (prefer javascript) way to get around this.   Hi all, I am quite new to WPF/XAML and I am currently facing a problem. I have a solution with two projects in it, the first project is a Custom Control Library with a custom Window form control inside. The second project is a WPF application using my custom window form. All work fine except for the form Icon. In the WPF application project I set my window icon property to "/ProjectTwoNameSpace;component/Resources/Images/Film.ico", and in the WPF custom control I try to show that image that way : <Image Grid.Column="0" Margin="3" Width="27" Height="27"> <Image.Source> <BitmapImage UriSource="{Binding Path=Icon}" /> </Image.Source> </Image> But it doesn't work, I get a error at runtime saying that the property UriSource or StreamSource must be set for my tag. Anyone can help me ? I think it's jsut a WPF newbie problem ^^

Comments = _Model.GetComments(id), }) ....... ..... return Json(jsonData, JsonRequestBehavior.AllowGet); } _Model.GetComments(id) will return a ClientComments Object which has a few properties say CommentID, FirstName, MiddleName etc., which will be bound to each row in the grid Now in my jqgrid I need to build a tool tip based on Comments column properties and for that I need to use the properties of my Comments in JQGrid for each row. May I know How I can manipulate Comment's properties for each row? Any help would be appreciated. I tried in my javascript that for each row rowObject.Comments.FirstName and it did not work.

  Hi I have a List which returns an array of "Question". My question is how can I bind this to a grid view? When I try to call Question.Ordinal I get that it does not exist in the data source. I am using the following code: GridView1.DataSource = myList.GetQ(); GrdiView1.DataBind(); myList.GetQ() returns a List which is an array of "Question". When I set the column DataField to "!" I get the object Question. My question is how can I get the objects property? I tried "!.Ordinal" does not work. I was reading this post for reference, here, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

• TileMap in Sprite kit tile size issue

  I am loading a TMX tile map into sprite kit using JSTileMap and the issue I am having is that if I use a tileSet.png the tiles appear too big when displayed. If I use a [email protected] the tiles appear the correct size but my tmx map does not show correctly instead all I see is the tileSet in a grid. I have tried renaming the [email protected] to tileSet.png but once again the tiles appear too big. Can I use a [email protected] with JSTileMap? The tiles in both png files are 128x128 Any help is appreciated.

  Hello everybody, I'm encountering a huge problem, I have tried everything I could, but I didn't find any solution. I have a listBox, with a DataTemplate. I want to use the events MouseLeftButtonDown and MouseLeftButtonUp to check the item selected is the same the user clicked on. The problem is the event MouseLeftButtonUp is recognized but not the event MouseLeftButtonDown. I got this work, this will uncheck all checkbox for me. $('span.chkIncRows input').attr('checked', false); This works for me, if I want to uncheck row #2 checkbox from the repeater, without passing row number. $('span.chkIncRows input')[2].checked =false; I don't know the syntax to uncheck the checkbox, if i want to pass in the row number into checkbox.   I have a user control that allows items to be added to it by exposing a Grid's Children property. Any control I add shows up fine but when I try to bind a property on the added item to a control in the main window nothing happens (example): <TextBox Name="txtTest" Text="Success!" /> <mycontrols:CustomUserControl.ExposedGridChildren> <TextBox Text="{Binding ElementName=txtTest, Path=Text, FallbackValue=fail}"/> </mycontrols:CustomUserControl.ExposedGridChildren> This example always results in the TextBox's text showing "fail". Here is how I'm exposing the children in the user control: public UIElementCollection ExposedGridChildren { get { return grdContainer.Children; } } Any thoughts? Is it a scope issue? • Sharing Jinja2 templates between Pylons and Django applications

  I'm writing a couple of Jinja2 templates that basically implement some common grid layouts. I'd like to be able to share this 'library' of templates between a Pylons app and Django app. I've hit a minor stumbling block in that Django's template context is accessible from the "top-level" of the template, whereas Pylons wraps your context inside the thread local c (or tmpl_context) variable. Here are some analogous examples that demonstrate this. Django from django.shortcuts import render_to_response ctx = {} ctx['name'] = 'John' return render_to_response('hello.html', ctx) hello.html: Hello {{ name }} Pylons from pylons import tmpl_context as c from myapp.lib.base import render c.name = 'John' return render('hello.html') hello.html: Hello {{ c.name }} What I'm trying to do is make it so that hello.html is the same across both frameworks. One way I see to do it is by wrapping the Django render_to_response and do something like this: ctx['c'] = ctx But that just doesn't feel right. Anybody see other alternatives to this? Thanks
