  • Error While Linking Multiple C Object files in Delphi 2007

    - by Ramnish
Hello Everyone. I am new to delphi. I was trying to add C Object files in my Delphi project and link them directly since Delphi Supports C Object Linking. I got it working when i link a single Object file. But when i try to link multiple object files, i am getting error 'Unsatisfied forward or external declaration'. I have tried this in Delphi 2007 as well as XE.So what am i doing wrong here? Working Code: function a_function():Integer;cdecl; implementation {$Link 'a.obj'} function a_function():Integer;cdecl;external; end. Error Code: function a_function():Integer;cdecl; function b_function();Integer;cdecl; function c_function();Integer;cdecl; implementation {$LINK 'a.obj'} {$LINK 'b.obj'} {$LINK 'c.obj'} function a_function():Integer;cdecl;external; function b_function();Integer;cdecl;external; function c_function();Integer;cdecl;external; end.

  • [Haskell] Problem when mixing type classes and type families

    - by Giuseppe Maggiore
    Hi! This code compiles fine: {-# LANGUAGE MultiParamTypeClasses, FunctionalDependencies, FlexibleInstances, UndecidableInstances, FlexibleContexts, EmptyDataDecls, ScopedTypeVariables, TypeOperators, TypeSynonymInstances, TypeFamilies #-} class Sel a s b where type Res a s b :: * instance Sel a s b where type Res a s b = (s -> (b,s)) instance Sel a s (b->(c,a)) where type Res a s (b->(c,a)) = (b -> s -> (c,s)) but as soon as I add the R predicate ghc fails: {-# LANGUAGE MultiParamTypeClasses, FunctionalDependencies, FlexibleInstances, UndecidableInstances, FlexibleContexts, EmptyDataDecls, ScopedTypeVariables, TypeOperators, TypeSynonymInstances, TypeFamilies #-} class Sel a s b where type Res a s b :: * instance Sel a s b where type Res a s b = (s -> (b,s)) class R a where type Rec a :: * cons :: a -> Rec a elim :: Rec a -> a instance Sel a s (b->(c,Rec a)) where type Res a s (b->(c,Rec a)) = (b -> s -> (c,s)) complaining that: Illegal type synonym family application in instance: b -> (c, Rec a) In the instance declaration for `Sel a s (b -> (c, Rec a))' what does it mean and (most importantly) how do I fix it? Thanks

  • Authkit - deferring action for HTTP '401' response to client application

    - by jon
Form, Redirect and Forward all send an unauthenticated user to a Form on a login page specified within an Authkit middleware application. I'd like to allow a client application to request a service via XHR and then present a custom 'client side' form if a HTTP status code of 401 is returned, which would then post to Authkit for authentication until valid authentication/authorization occured. Specifically, 1) a jquery $.get request might request a resource. 2) if an Authkit cookie check confirmed previous authorization the content would be returned. 3) if not I would like Authkit to simply return the '401 response' (and not redirect to another page, or return a form template) where a client side exception handler would notify the user and present an authentication form. Can Authkit work like this?

  • Delphi Mock Wizard

    - by Todd
Let me preface this by saying I'm fairly new to Unit Testing, Mocks, Stubs, Etc... I've installed Delphi-Mock-Wizard. When I select a unit and "Generate Mock", a new unit is created but it's very basic and not anything what I understand Mocks to be. unit Unit1; (** WARNING - AUTO-GENERATED MOCK! Change this unit if you want to, but be aware that any changes you make will be lost if you regenerate the mock object (for instance, if the interface changes). My advice is to create a descendent class of your auto-generated mock - in a different unit - and override things there. That way you get to keep them. Also, the auto-generate code is not yet smart enough to generate stubs for inherited interfaces. In that case, change your mock declaration to inherit from a mock implementation that implements the missing interface. This, unfortunately, is a violation of the directive above. I'm working on it. You may also need to manually change the unit name, above. Another thing I am working on. **) interface uses PascalMock, TestInterfaces; type IThingy = interface; implementation end. Looking at the source there seems to be quite a bit commented out. I'm wondering, has anyone gotten this to work? My IDE is D2010. Thanks.

  • Subversion roadmap

    - by gbjbaanb
Recently there was a post to the subversion dev mailing list suggesting a vision and roadmap for the future of Subversion. As a result, I'm posting this to elicit some suggestions and contributions from the users of Subversion. Any comments are welcome, and I shall feedback a synopsis with a link to this question to the dev mailing list. On the post, several ideas were suggested as being "very nice to have" and are offered as the starting point of a future roadmap. These are: Obliterate Shelve/Checkpoint Repository-dictated Configuration Rename Tracking Improved Merging Improved Tree Conflict Handling Enterprise Authentication Mechanisms Forward History Searching Log Message Templates So given all the above, what features in subversion, or missing from subversion, do you think could be improved or added?

  • JAX-WS client with AXIS server; namespace problem?

    - by Jarno
I'm having a problem related to JAX-WS and AXIS. JAX-WS (2.1.7) as a client, Axis (1.4.x) as server. Everything works OK, but the response can't be read to Java. Response: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <soapenv:Body> <ns1:myserviceResponse soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:ns1="http://my/service"> <ns1:myserviceReturn xsi:type="xsd:string">responsestring</ns1:myserviceReturn> </ns1:myserviceResponse> </soapenv:Body> </soapenv:Envelope> The problem is that if "ns1:"-namespace declaration is removed from myserviceReturn, JAX-WS is able to return else than null. Does anyone have a clue how to force JAX-WS to ignore namespaces, how to modify SOAP response manually to exclude "ns1", or other ideas for this kind of problem? Any help is appreciated!!!

  • When I mix JSTL 1.0 and JSTL 1.1 taglib declarations, it causes a ParseException on some of my serve

    - by sangfroid
Hello all, When I mix JSTL 1.0 and JSTL 1.1 taglib declarations, it causes a ParseException on some of my servers, but not all of them. Here is the block of code that's giving me trouble : <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core"%> <%@ taglib prefix="fn" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/functions"%> <c:set var="TEXTVARIABLE">|STRINGOFTEXT|</c:set> <c:set var="OTHERTEXTVARIABLE">${fn:contains(TEXTVARIABLE, '|STRINGOFTEXT|')}</c:set> And here is the exception : javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: com.caucho.jsp.JspLineParseException: /WEB-INF/jsp/online/system/modules/com.MYCOMPANY.marketing/templates/common/MY_JSP_PAGE.jsp:1: tag = 'out' / attribute = 'value': An error occurred while parsing custom action attribute "value" with value "${fn:contains(TEXTVARIABLE, '|STRINGOFTEXT|')}": org.apache.taglibs.standard.lang.jstl.parser.ParseException: EL functions are not supported. However, everything works fine if I change the URI for the core declaration to http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core So here's the really weird part : for some reason, mixing 1.0 and 1.1 taglib declarations only causes an exception on two of my servers -- my staging server and my production server. It causes no problems at all on my local machine or my development server. Why is this? What could possibly be causing this difference in behavior? The three servers are extremely similar in setup and configuration. The JSP page is being served up by OpenCMS, and I'm using the Caucho's Resin webserver. I understand that you don't know how my servers or CMS are set up, but really, what I'm looking for is ideas. Any ideas at all would help -- this problem has been driving me absolutely batty. Even if you don't know what could be causing the problem, if you have any suggestions at all for how I could approach the problem, that would be extremely helpful. I just don't understand what could cause this difference in behavior between my servers. For reference, here's the full stack trace : javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: com.caucho.jsp.JspLineParseException: /WEB-INF/jsp/online/system/modules/com.MYCOMPANY.marketing/templates/common/MY_JSP_PAGE.jsp:1: tag = 'out' / attribute = 'value': An error occurred while parsing custom action attribute "value" with • jQuery Address changed event

    - by Dustin
I'm trying my hand at jQuery Address http://www.asual.com/jquery/address/ On a click event I set $.address.value(mypath); This fires off the $.address.change() event. When I click a link I want the behavior to be slightly different than when this event is fired by clicking the back/forward button or with a bookmark or link. Is there a way to distinguish between the two events. I've looked at the event object passed to $.address.change() and they seem to be identical in both situations.

  • getting JSlider bar to move on mouse click event

    - by Aly
Hi, I have a JSlider which shows bet sizes (for a poker game) I am trying to achieve the effect that when a mouse click occurs the slider jumps forward by a bet amount (i.e. a big blind amount) rather than just incrementing by one. If the mouse click happens to the left of the bar i want it to decrement by a fixed amount else increment. I looked into attaching a mouse listener, but do not know how I can use the event to find out on what side of the bar the mouse was clicked. Any ideas?

  • How to change rowHeight of a TableViewCell depending on Stringlength

    - by Jens Koehler
    I have a table with different entries, each with different length. The height of each row should fit, so it can show the whole string. I use the following code: //... cellForRowAtIndexPath if (row == 0) { cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:@"affCell"]; //if (!cell) { cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectZero reuseIdentifier:@"affCell"]autorelease]; cell.accessoryType = UITableViewCellAccessoryNone; cell.selectionStyle = UITableViewCellSelectionStyleNone; cell.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight; affL = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectZero]; affL.textAlignment = UITextAlignmentLeft; affL.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight; [cell.contentView addSubview:affL]; //} //declaration label affL.text = [fDictionary objectForKey:@"aff"]; affL.numberOfLines = 0; [affL sizeToFit]; affL.frame = CGRectMake(15.0, 10.0, 220.0, affL.frame.size.height); CGFloat affLH = affL.frame.size.height; [tableView setRowHeight:affLH+30]; I also use //... heightForRowAtIndexPath return affL.frame.size.height; How can I fix this problem?

  • How to execute a command from with in MSI?

    - by okhalid
Hi, I have a installation setup with works like this: /exec.exe /some-command This whole setup is located on a shared disk to which my target machine have access to. All i want is to create a small MSI wrapper that basically executes the above command. I don't need to any other fancy things? I looked up on the web; there are tools that create MSI for you but they generate huge amount of other things with them as well. My need is very simple and straight forward. It would be great if some could help me with this issue. Thanks, Omer

  • VS2010 method comment block pretty format.

    - by camelCase
I have just installed the lastest RC of VS2010, which for me represents a shift from VS2008. A new comment formatting feature that I was looking forward to appears to be missing. About 6 months ago I read a Scott Gu blog post that mentioned a new VS2010 feature that would format /// style method comment blocks into more readable formatted regions inline with other code. The Scott Gu blog did not provide a screen shot but I was expecting the VS2010 editor to remove the XML tags from the /// method comment block and render just the essential text comment. Was this feature pulled during the Beta, or is there an option switch urking somewhere?

  • Code Coverage and Unit Testing of Python Code

    - by bhadra
I have already visited Preferred Python unit-testing framework. I am not just looking at Python Unit Testing Framework, but also code coverage with respect to unit tests. So far I have only come across coverage.py. Is there any better option? An interesting option for me is to integrate cpython, unit testing of Python code and code coverage of Python code with Visual Studio 2008 through plugins (something similar to IronPython Studio). What can be done to achieve this? I look forward to suggestions.

  • Setting database-agnostic default column timestamp using Hibernate

    - by unsquared
I'm working on a java project full of Hibernate (3.3.1) mapping files that have the following sort of declaration for most domain objects. <property name="dateCreated" generated="insert"> <column name="date_created" default="getdate()" /> </property> The problem here is that getdate() is an MSSQL specific function, and when I'm using something like H2 to test subsections of the project, H2 screams that getdate() isn't a recognized function. It's own timestamping function is current_timestamp(). I'd like to be able to keep working with H2 for testing, and wanted to know whether there was a way of telling Hibernate "use this database's own mechanism for retrieving the current timestamp". With H2, I've come up with the following solution. CREATE ALIAS getdate AS $$ java.util.Date now() { return new java.util.Date(); } $$; CALL getdate(); It works, but is obviously H2 specific. I've tried extending H2Dialect and registering the function getdate(), but that doesn't seem to be invoked when Hibernate is creating tables. Is it possible to abstract the idea of a default timestamp away from the specific database engine?

  • Compiling x264 with mp4 support problem

    - by johnas
I'm trying to compile x264 with mp4 output support. I download the latest version from their git by typing git clone git://git.videolan.org/x264.git When I run ./configure it configures and I'm able to make it. But when i try to configure it with ./configure --enable-mp4-output and then try to make it, it returns a strange error, indicating that there is a compilation error. The error message looks like: ... Lots of similar errors ... output/mp4.c:297: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘gf_isom_add_sample’ output/mp4.c:297: error: ‘mp4_hnd_t’ has no member named ‘p_file’ output/mp4.c:297: error: ‘mp4_hnd_t’ has no member named ‘i_track’ output/mp4.c:297: error: ‘mp4_hnd_t’ has no member named ‘i_descidx’ output/mp4.c:297: error: ‘mp4_hnd_t’ has no member named ‘p_sample’ output/mp4.c:299: error: ‘mp4_hnd_t’ has no member named ‘p_sample’ output/mp4.c:300: error: ‘mp4_hnd_t’ has no member named ‘i_numframe’ I've tried different releases. I've installed gpac, ffmpeg, and tried numerous tips from the net. But still can't get it to work. The reason I want it with mp4 output is because I want to use ffmpeg to create mp4 files encoded with x264. I'm running Ubuntu Server 9.10 32 bits.

  • UnauthorizedAccessException cannot resolve Directory.GetFiles failure

    - by Ric Coles
Hi all, Directory.GetFiles method fails on the first encounter with a folder it has no access rights to. The method throws an UnauthorizedAccessException (which can be caught) but by the time this is done, the method has already failed/terminated. The code I am using is listed below: try { // looks in stated directory and returns the path of all files found getFiles = Directory.GetFiles(@directoryToSearch, filetype, SearchOption.AllDirectories); } catch (UnauthorizedAccessException) { } As far as I am aware, there is no way to check beforehand whether a certain folder has access rights defined. In my example, I'm searching on a disk across a network and when I come across a root access only folder, my program fails. I have searched for a few days now for any sort of resolve, but this problem doesn't seem to be very prevalent on here or Google. I look forward to any suggestions you may have, Regards

  • Best Java 'framework' for LOW-END 3D Graphics?

    - by CodeJustin.com
I've made my share of 2D games on various platforms but I have never developed a 3D game. I want to make a small "mmorpg". I already made my server in python and it works just fine with my flash 2D game but I decided I want to step it up and try out 3D. I want to make a 3D game for the web browser and I think Java might be a good choice for this. So basically I'm just looking for a straight forward and well documents 'framework' to make LOW-END 3D games. Keep in mind that I will be targeting peoples with very low-end PC's (plus my 3d modeling skills aren't great so I wouldn't mind hiding it somewhat, haha)

  • What is a good Visio Enterprise Architect replacement?

    - by MattValerio
I've been using Visio 2002/2003 Enterprise Architect to do my database schema design visually and then forward-generate the DDL to create the database. I wanted to switch to Visio 2007, but while it does have database diagramming support, it doesn't have the ability to generate DDL. Bummer. I am really disappointed because it seems like Microsoft has completely abandoned this feature. You can't do it in Visual Studio (that I've found). You can sorta do it with SQL Server Management Studio if you insert database diagrams into your database, but any edits to the schema immediately take effect. Has anyone found a good program to do this? I'm hoping to find one that is free and can generate DDL/SQL for SQL Server.

(says that unique_ptr's copy constructor is deleted) I tried replacing move with forward. Not sure if I did it right, but it didn't work for me.

  • ShSetFolderPath works on win7, doesn't on XP

    - by pipboy3k
Hey. I'm trying to use ShSetFolderPath function in C#. I work on Win7, I've managed to use ShSetKnownFolderPath and it works fine. Since this function is unavaible in WinXP, i tried to invoke ShSetFolderPath. Because i'm not familiar with invoking, I've done some searching and found something on some French forum. I don't speak French, but this declaration makes sense (as written in Remarks of function documentation in MSDN library): [DllImport( "Shell32.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Unicode, EntryPoint = "#232" ) ] private static extern int SHSetFolderPath( int csidl, IntPtr hToken, uint flags, string path ); I call it like that: private static int CSIDL_DESKTOP = 0x0000; public static void SetDesktopPath(string path) { int ret; ret = SHSetFolderPath(CSIDL_DESKTOP, IntPtr.Zero, 0, path); if (ret != 0) { Console.WriteLine(ret); Console.WriteLine(Marshal.GetExceptionForHR(ret)); } } It works in Win7, but in XP function returns -2147024809, which means "Value does not fall within the expected range". My guess is, it's something wrong with Dll importing. Any idea?

  • Plugin Framework - can there be too many addin assemblies?

    - by spooner
Hi, The product I'm working on needs to be built in such a way that we have a quote engine driven by a pluggable framework. We are currently thinking of using MAF, so we can leverage separation of the host and addin interfaces for versioning. However, I'm concerned that we'd have lots of assemblies, it's likely that we'd have one for each quote engine addin - of which there could be 100 going forward, we also need to support multiple versions, so there could be lots of assemblies in total. The quote engine also uses WF to drive it, which means each AppDomain for each addin will need a workflow runtime associated with it. This seems quite heavyweight, however we can unload unfrequently used addins. Does this seem like a good design? We've also looked at a single AppDomain solution using an IOC container to load addin types, but I'm concerned that we won't be able to unload any of the assemblies, given their quantity.

  • Custom iterator for a class based on two sets

    - by Dan Hook
I have a class that contains two sets. They both contain the same key type but have different compare operations. I would like to provide an iterator for the class that iterates through the elements of both sets. I want to start with one set, then when I increment an iterator pointing to the last element of the first set, I want to go to the first element of the second set. How do I do this? I would like to preserve the bidirectional iterator semantics of std::set, but if it turns out that implementing a forward iterator is much easier, so be it. I'm willing to use the Boost Iterator library if that would help.

  • How do you use Linq2Sql in your applications ?

    - by this. __curious_geek
I'm recently migrating to Linq2Sql and all my future projects would be done in Linq2Sql. Having said that, I researched a lot on how to properly plug-in Linq2Sql in application design. what to put at what layer ? Should I use DTOs over Linq2Sql entities ? I did not find any rock-solid material that really talked about one single thing and everyone had their own opinions and I found all of them justified right from their arguments. I'm looking forward to your ideas on how to integrate/use Linq2Sql in projects. My priority is maintenance[it should be maintenable and when multiple people work on same project] and scalabilty [it should have scope of evolution]. Thanks.
