• SSIS - Connection Management Within a Loop

  Hi I have the following SSIS package: The problem is that within the Foreach loop a connection is opened and closed for each iteration. On running SQL Profiler I see a series of: Audit Login RPC:Completed Audit Lout The duration for the login and the RPC that actually does the work is minimal. However, the duration for the logout is significant, running into several seconds each. This causes the JOB to run very slowly - taking many hours. I get the same problem when running either on a test server or stand-alone laptop. Could anyone please suggest how I may change the package to improve performance? Also, I have noticed that when running the package from Visual Studio, it looks as though it continues to run with the component blocks going amber then green but actually all the processing has been completed and SQL profiler has dropped silent?   I'm building an 'add new row' function for product variations, and I'm struggling with the regex required to match the form attribute keys. So, I'm basically cloning rows, then incrementing the keys, like this (coffeescript): newrow = oldrow.find('select, input, textarea').each -> this.name = this.name.replace(/\[(\d+)\]/, (str, p1) -> "[" + (parseInt(p1, 10) + 1) + "]" ) this.id = this.id.replace(/\_(\d+)\_/, (str, p1) -> "_" + (parseInt(p1, 10) + 1) + "_" ) .end() This correctly increments a field with a name of product[variations][1][name], turning it into product[variations][2][name] BUT Each variation can have multiple options (eg, color can be red, blue, green), so I need to be able turn this product[variations][1][options][2][name] into product[variations][1][options][3][name], leaving the variation key alone. What regex do I need to match only the last occurrence of a key (the options key)?

• Can't get node.js built on cygwin

  Following the instructions here: https://github.com/ry/node/wiki/Building-node.js-on-Cygwin-(Windows) I've tried installing on two machines, either of which I'd be happy to get up and running. WinXP On 'make', I get: Build failed: -> task failed <err #2>: {task: libv8.a SConstruct -> libv8.a} According to the instructions, this is caused by having $SHELL set to a Windows style path, but I've set it to /bin/bash and get the same error.   I'm learning about design patterns and because of that I've ended using a lot of interfaces. One of my "goals" is to program to an interface, not an implementation. What I've found is that I'm doing a lot of casting or object type conversion. What I'd like to know is if there is a difference between these two methods of conversion: public interface IMyInterface { void AMethod(); } public class MyClass : IMyInterface { public void AMethod() { //Do work } // other helper methods.... } public class Implementation { IMyInterface _MyObj; MyClass _myCls1; MyClass _myCls2; public Implementation() { _MyObj = new MyClass(); // What is the difference here: _myCls1 = (MyClass)_MyObj; _myCls2 = (_MyObj as MyClass); } } If there is a difference, is there a cost difference or how does this affect my program?   hi i have a simpel tkinter window. consists of a small window, a timer, and a button for set timer. dont want to go in details with the code... Now all the widgets in my windows eg. button, Label Ect. will have to change color. EG. i Have a global variabel wich i will set as color "red" fx... All the widgets BACKGROUND option is associated with the global variabel. Now on button press i will change the global variable to "green" so that the background of all widgets ect. will change color, but they DONT. i thought the .mainloop() sort of UPDATED the window. how can i have the widgets to change background color when my variable change WITHOUT restarting my application??? ty Xanthar

• [Android] GPS can't run inside TimerTask

  Hi, I am trying to write an android app that acquires a GPS signal at a fix time interval, for example every 1 minute. Since the requestLocationUpdate function does not exactly implement that, I tried to use task to accomplished it. public class getGPS extends TimerTask{ public void run(){ System.out.println("Running a GPS task"); locHandler = new locationUpdateHandler(); myManager.requestLocationUpdates(provider, 60000, 0, locHandler); } } public void LoadCoords(){ Timer timer = new Timer(); timer.scheduleAtFixedRate(new getGPS(), 0, 60000); } However, from what I've seen, requestLocationUpdates would run fine if I put it inside LoadCoords(), but would not run if I put it inside the TimerTask (ie no green icon on the task bar to show that GPS is looking for a fix). Can anyone please suggest an alternative approach or pseudo-code, or correct my mistake if there is one ? Thank you in advance.

  Hi, I have a variable, $var, that contains a string of characters, this is a dynamic variable that contains the values from inputs. $var could be 'abc', or $var could be 'blu', I want to match the string inside variable against an array, and return all the matches. $array = array("blue", "red", "green"); What is the correct syntax for writing the code in php, my rough code is below $match = preg_grep($var, $array); (incorrect syntax of course) I tried to put quotes and escape slashes, but so far no luck.   My app is playing a pretty complex animation. It's like a flipbook. What I do is: I have a huge loop with selectors, and after every delayed call the next one is called. Now someone calls the user and the device suddenly shows up this fat green status bar and maybe some big pick-up-the-phone-call overlay. Or: The alarm clock rings, and a big alert sheet appears in front of just about everything. It would be great to just pause the whole animation in case of ANY interruption. Probably I've also missed like 5 more possible interruptions. How are you doing that? How do you get notified for all interruptions and then call one single -stopEverything method?

• NSBezierPath with transparent fill

  I've got a NSBezierPath that needs to have a semi-transparent fill. When I fill it with a solid color, I get the expected result. However, when filled with a semi-transparent color I get a path with a rounded stroke but an odd, rectangular fill. It looks like: Instead of filling the entire area, I get a filled rectangle inside the stoke with a small, unfilled boarder.   My Flickr gallery looks good in all browsers except IE 7. What else do I need to put in my CSS code for it to not look so lopsided in IE 7.   I have recently started working with microarray datasets and am trying to get my hands on R. I wish to make some plots out of my result data, but however I am stuck at the following. I have the following data (myData), cpg samp1 samp2 samp3 cpg1 0.43 0.32 0.21 cpg2 0.43 0.22 1.00 cpg3 0.11 0.99 0.78 cpg4 0.65 0.32 0.12 cpg5 0.11 0.43 0.89 And I wish to obtain a density plot for this, I did the following, plot (density(MyData$samp1), col="red") lines (density(MyData$samp2), col="green") lines (density(MyData$samp3), col="blue") But doing this does not give me correct plots, because not all sample curves fit within the plot limits. I did try looking for answers, but honestly i am still not able to work this out. Can you help me know how do i set my scale for the above? Or what additional should I do to the above code, so that all the curves are in range?? I have got many samples, so i need a something that could also automatically assign a different colour curve for each of my sample, after scaling it right. Thanks in advance..

• HTML tag closes when inside a condition

Here is the following code : each user in users - if (user.valid == 1) tr(style="color:green;") - else tr(style="color:red;") td = user.mail td = user.lastIp td = user.token td = user.valid My problem is that the tds are created only in the else case. if the if (user.valid == 1) is true, then it creates an empty tr. Is there a way I can create my tr with this condition, and then only fill them ? Thanks :)

• Navigation Dropdown Text Color doesn't work in FF and IE

  Hello, I was able to get the navigation dropdown to show the letters in a different color from the background (white in this case) in Chrome browser. But when I view the same page in IE or FF, the whole background is just all green. Here is an example of such a page: http://www.comehike.com/hikes/hikes_and_groups.php And here is the CSS code that makes the color show up white in Chrome navigation li li a {color:#white; text-decoration:none;} To see the difference, just mouse over the top right where it says "community" or "hikes" Thanks, Alex

• How to detect a Socket disconnection?

  I've implemented a task using the async Sockets pattern in Silverlight 3. I started with Michael Schwarz's implementation and built on top of that. So basically, my Silverlight app establishes a persistent socket connection to a device and then data flows both ways as necessary between the device and the Silverlight app. One thing I am struggling with is how to detect disconnection. I could think of 2 approaches: Keep-Alive. I know this can be done at the Sockets level, but I am not sure how to do this in an async model. How would the Socket class let me know there has been a disconnection. Manual keep alive. Basically, I am having the Silverlight app send a dummy packet every 20 seconds or so. If it fails, I'd assume disconnection. However, incredibly, SocketAsyncEventArgs.SocketError always reports success, even if I simply unplug the device that the Silverlight app is connected to. I am not sure whether this is a bug or what or perhaps I need to upgrade to SL4. Any ideas, direction or implementation would be appreciated.

• Hidden links are still clickable on the Android browser

  I've got a contextual menu that appears when a button is clicked. This menu has some links and after some seconds is hidden again. The problem is that after the menu has disappeared the links are still there. They are not shown but are clickable and the green border appears. And after some seconds they disappear. I've tryied many ways of hiding the menu: display: none, visibility: hidden, width: 0, height: 0, jquery hide, jquery fadeout... but none worked. Also hidding the links. Does anyone have a idea about what's happening? With the rest of the browsers it works without problem Thanks
