When the user clicks the board, we get the click coordinates, find the color of the pixel at the same coordinates in our second image, and that color is directly translatable to a game area, since each area is painted in its own color.   • Sudoers file allow sudo on specific file for active directory group

    I have active directory sign in working on an Ubuntu 12.04 box. When the user signs in, I have a script that runs that needs sudo permission (since it modifies the samba config file). How would I specify this in my sudoer's file? I've tried: %DOMAIN\\AD+Programmers ALL=NOPASSWD: /usr/local/bin/createSambaShare.php I've found various resources on the internet stating that this is how it would be done, but I'm not sure that I have the first part right. What are they using as the DOMAIN? The workgroup or the realm? I use Samba + winbind for active directory integration.   • I overwrote a large file with a blank one on a linux server. Can I recover the existing file?

    I came back to my machine, tried saving a file over ssh onto my linux server (CentOS). It failed. I wasn't interested in keeping any changes I had made so I closed my editor and reopened the file (over ssh). The save attempt wiped the file. I have made loads of changes to it since I last uploaded to revision control. Seeing as it has just wiped the file I assume the data is still there. It's just a text file (php), is there any way of recovering it?

  • I just deleted my backup file! How do I save it?

    I just accidentally deleted a backup file that I need to restore my system. It's an Acronis True Image TIB file. It was stored at H:\My backups and the name of the file was File_backup_2012-10-18.tib. I did a quick scan with Recuva 1.43.623 and it found the file using the recovery wizard, but it was unable to recover it. The "state" of the file is "unrecoverable". So the resulting file is 0 byte. I am trying to do a deep scan with Recuva right now but it takes a lot of time. If it should fail, what other recovery option do I have? Is there any other good file recovery software that's free to use for home users? I do have a second copy of the whole system partition, but I needed this file backup copy because it is more up to date. That's the file, right there! But why is Recuva unable to recover it?

I want to detect whether foo.com is visited without directly looking at $('1').getComputedStyle (or in Internet Explorer, currentStyle), or any other direct method on that element. The purpose of this is to get around a potential browser restriction that would prevent direct inspection of the style of visited links. For instance, maybe you can put a sub-element in the <a> tag, or check the styling of the text directly; etc. Any method that does not directly or indierctly rely on $('1').anything is acceptable. Doing something clever with the child or parent is probably necessary. Note that for the purposes of this point only, the scenario is that the browser will lie to JavaScript about all properties of the <a> element (but not others), and that it will only render color: in :visited. Therefore, methods that rely on e.g. text size or background-image will not meet this requirement. I want to improve the speed of my current scraping methods. The majority of time (at least with the jQuery method in Firefox) is spent on document.body.appendChild(batch), so finding a way to improve that call would probably most effective. The methods I am currently using can be seen at http://github.com/saizai/cssfingerprint/blob/master/public/javascripts/history_scrape.js To summarize for tl;dr, they are: set color or display on :visited per above, and check each one directly w/ getComputedStyle put the ID of the link (plus a space) inside the <a> tag, and using jQuery's :visible selector, extract only the visible text (= the visited link IDs) FWIW, I'm a white hat, and I'm doing this in consultation with the EFF and some other fairly well known security researchers. If you contribute a new method or speedup, you'll get thanked at http://cssfingerprint.com/about (if you want to be :-P), and potentially in a future published paper. ETA: The bounty will be rewarded only for suggestions that can, on Firefox, avoid the hypothetical restriction described in point 1 above, or perform at least 10% faster, on any browser for which I have sufficient current data, than my best performing methods listed in the graph at http://cssfingerprint.com/about In case more than one suggestion fits either criterion, the one that does best wins.

  • css, unordered list not displaying icon in right place...

    I'm really frustrated with this one. A few weeks ago I got it working in both firefox and ie just fine. Went back today to do some testing and found a problem with the display in firefox and I've been searching the code but can't find anything. I could use a few tips from anyone willing, I'm sure I'm looking at the wrong things. I upgraded my firefox version but I imagine my code is broke, not firefox. I'm assuming the problem is somewhere in my css file, but I'm not sure. Here's what I've confirmed so far. There don't seem to be conflicts in other css files with < ul 's or < li 's that may be overriding settings. The other confirmation is that This works fine in Internet Explorer...therefore I must be an idiot, because its usually been the other way around (working in FF, but failing in IE).     Hello, I need to read a whole file into memory and place it in a C++ std::string. If I were to read it into a char, the answer would be very simple: std::ifstream t; int lenght; t.open("file.txt", "r"); // open input file t.seekg(0, std::ios::end); // go to the end length = t.tellg(); // report location (this is the lenght) t.seekg(0, std::ios::beg); // go back to the beginning buffer = new char[length]; // allocate memory for a buffer of appropriate dimension t.read(buffer, length); // read the whole file into the buffer t.close(); // close file handle // ... do stuff with buffer here ... Now, I want to do the exact same thing, but using a std::string instead of a char.     Hi: I am trying to read from a file using fgets and sscanf. In my file, I have characters on each line of the while which I wish to put into a vector. When I run my program, I get a seg fault. It happens when I do the sscanf. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

    Hi, On many occasions I have dealt with passing batch files arguments with spaces, quotes, percents, and slashes and all sorts of combinations of them. Usually I managed to figure out how to accomplish what I want, but this time I am stuck. I have tried a couple of hundred combinations now and my head is starting to hurt. I’ve reduced the problem quite nicely. It’s a simple requirement: pass a double-quoted space from one batch file to another. That is, one batch file should pass some string X to another so that the the second one echos " ". I just can’t figure out what X should be. Here is a minimal batch file that demonstrates and attempt that does not work. (This BAT file takes the place of both by calling itself.) ::Goal is to print: ::" " ::That is, to pass a quoted space from a BAT file to a BAT file if not (%1)==() goto recurse %0 "" "" :recurse echo %1 pause It does not work. I’ve tried using "\" \"", """ """, """" """", "\"" "\"", ""\" \""", "^" ^"", ^"" "^", and so on. Either they print double double-quotes, lose everything after the space, or something else (that is wrong). Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Upload file using jquery dialog not working

    i want to upload file using jquery dialog. I have created a partial view and showing that partial view in the dialog. The problem is, when I directly browse the partial view and upload a file, it works perfect. BUT when I put the partial view inside a jquery dialog, it submits the form, but don't submits the file. So i have null value. I really dont understand what is the difference here!!     So im working on learning how to do file I/O, but the book I'm using is terrible at teaching how to receive input from a file. Below is is their example of how to receive input from a file, but it doesn't work. I have copied it word for word, and it should loop through a list of names until it reaches the end of the file( or so they say in the book), but it doesn't.
