• Program for HID USB Scale

  Hi guys, I'm looking for a program that can read the weight on a USB scale, namely the Pelouze 10lb USB Portable Scale. I thought it would have a virtual COM port driver but instead, it uses HID drivers. I've been searching for a whole month for a program that can help me transfer the reading of the scale to Microsoft Excel. Can someone help me out or point me in the right direction? I am absolutely illiterate to programming. Much gratitude any help given.

  Hello guys! I hope there's someone who can help me suggest a suitable data model to be implemented using nosql database Apache Cassandra. More of than I need it to work under high loads and large amounts of data. Simplified I have 3 types of objects: Product Tag ProductTag Product: key - string key name - string .... - some other fields Tag: key - string key name - unique tag words ProductTag: product_key - foreign key referring to product tag_key - foreign key referring to tag rating - this is rating of tag for this product Each product may have 0 or many tags. Tag may be assigned to 1 or many products. Means relation between products and tags is many-to-many in terms of relational databases. Value of "rating" is updated "very" often. I need to be run the following queries Select objects by keys Select tags for product ordered by rating Select products by tag order by rating Update rating by product_key and tag_key The most important is to make these queries really fast on large amounts of data, considering that rating is constantly updated.

  Hi, I am writing a Jython script to sort a list of URLs. I have a list that looks like this: http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/folder3/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/folder3/|,1 The pipe and the comma separates the path from the amount of files that are under that path. • It is okay to migrate to Asp.NET 4.0 now?

  Okay today, as most of you noticed Framework 4.0 has been released. I've been working on a project which is being built on framework 3.5. Since I want to use dynamic keyword and most of the asp.net features like Tableless Menu Control, ClientIDMode and clean web.config etc. I am kinda urging to migrate the unfinished project to 4.0 but I am little hesitating about that.Some times I think it is way better to wait for SP1. So what do you think about it? You guys will migrate to unfinished projects or will still hang out with 3.5 for a while. Thanks.

  Hey guys quick question. I have this code that brings in data from a php script and it works fine in fire fox and mostly opera except one problem. In opera if I keep refreshing the page, once in a while the information will not appear at all. Is this possible to fix? • Virtual Mice in C#

  Hi guys, Is there anything that we could do for implementing VIRTUAL MICE? I mean, I want to have multiple mice within the whole OS, but they must be all VIRTUAL (I'm not talking about the applications that serve multiple mice driver for PS/2 or USB mice or Microsoft's MultiPoint Mouse SDK.) It is like creating two objects: Mouse mouse1, mouse2; and using them like: mouse1.mouse_event(...); mouse2.mouse_event(...); having a CURSOR on the screen is NOT IMPORTANT. I only need the action (MOUSE DOWN, MOVE, UP for each but separated) and the important thing is that these VIRTUAL MICE should work together, at the same time, click or down-move action with different coordinates(x,y).

• "Primary Filegroup is Full" in SQL Server 2008 Standard for no apparent reason

  Our database is currently at 64 Gb and one of our apps started to fail with the following error: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Could not allocate space for object 'cnv.LoggedUnpreparedSpos'.'PK_LoggedUnpreparedSpos' in database 'travelgateway' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full. Create disk space by deleting unneeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup. I double-checked everything: all files in a single filegroup are allowed to autogrow with a reasonable increments (100 Mb for a data file, 10% for a log file), more than 100 Gb of free space is available for the database, tempdb is set to autogrow as well with plenty of free HDD space on its drive. To resolve a problem, I added second file to the filegroup and the error has gone. But I feel uneasy about this whole situation. Where' the problem here, guys?

• D-Day Calendar has wrong dates when importing from google calendar?

  Hi I am using D-Day calendar and I am not sure but I got a weird problem. I basically have this for my code iCalendar iCal = iCalendar.LoadFromStream(file.InputStream); foreach (Event evt in iCal.Events) { DateTime start = evt.DTStart.Date; DateTime end = evt.DTEnd.Date; // loop through it and get values. } Yet when I import a calendar from google calendar the end date is messed up on some of the stuff I am importing. Like for instance I have this Title: should not show When: Sun, March 21(all day). Yet when I import it in. I says the start date is the 21st yet the end date is the 22nd when it should be the 21st. Not sure what is going on. I am not really sure what other info I can give you guys.

  Hi guys, I'm unhappy from GAE because - One can't have a global variable and the 'synchronize' keyword. Instead one have to catch a basically DB transcational exception and retry in a while loop - which will eat all my free CPU time and will start costing me money as I reach the google's qouata. Is it safe to use synchronize inside a doPost() in tomcat? (i guess that it's ok as long as all the servlets are running on on 1 VM?). If not in all tomcat configurations, how do I configure tomcat to make it safe? How can I convert a GAE app to my own tomcat server? - How to install DataNucleus Access Platform on tomcat? • Compile Problem with MySQL C API on MAC OS X 10.6

  Hi guys, i've a Problem with MySQL C API and Mac OS X 10.6. When i want to compile a SQL Client Program, it aborts with this Error Message ld: library not found for -lmysqlclient collect2: ld returned 1 exit status I compile with this command: g++ -I /usr/local/mysql/include/ -L /usr/local/mysql/lib/ -lmysqlclient main.cpp I've tried the Headers and Librarys in different locations - no effect I've downloaded the headers and the Library from an other Destination - Same effect as before Any Ideas what i am doing wrong? It works in all modern browsers apart from ie7, in which you can drag and drop, but when you drop, it completely ruins the content of the box you're dropping.   Hi guys, I'm trying to install feedzirra. When i install curb on my netbeans i get following errors. Building native extensions. This could take a while... ERROR: Error installing curb-0.7.6.gem: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension. "C:/Program Files/NetBeans 6.9 RC2/ruby/jruby-1.5.0/bin/jruby.bat.exe" extconf.rb '"C:/Program Files/NetBeans 6.9 RC2/ruby/jruby-1.5.0/bin/jruby.bat.exe"' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Gem files will remain installed in C:/Program Files/NetBeans 6.9 RC2/ruby/jruby-1.5.0/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/curb-0.7.6 for inspection. Results logged to C:/Program Files/NetBeans 6.9 RC2/ruby/jruby-1.5.0/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/curb-0.7.6/ext/gem_make.out Any ideas how I can get this to work? Or did you know very fast feed parser gem?

• Creating a Web Wrapper for COM and OCX

  Hi guys, Today we have a windows application that, using an OCX, creates a web page (visible by a WebBrowser control in a small .NET WinForm application) and communicates through COM to the main application/client. (not relevant but this is Pascal) I'm currently responsible to re create this application in a web environment so we can have the same functionality shared through Web as the user can see the same in a Web Browser. The Windows application has almost 4 years on it and I need to re create everything from scratch, and all the bugs/features find in the future in the Windows Application I have to re create them again in the Web... Ohh well, you can see where this will end. I was thinking... is there any way I can create a Wrapper, even using 3rd party commercial objects, to: Communicate with the COM Object Can expose the content of the OCX (this in my most confortable language, ASP.NET C#, but other are welcome) I was thinking out loud, can this be accomplish with a Java Applet? Any ideas or any point to the right road will be appreciated.

• setting source classpath in eclipse with stupid project structure

  What do you guys do, when you have huge project built with ant for instance, where the source folders are right bellow the root project folder, for building classpath from source files ? putting entire project as a source folder is nonsense. Putting separate folders as source folders can't be done if they are part of the package hierarchy and the only thing I could think of, is to copy the source folders into a separate folder and add it then as source folder which is weird but I don't know how else to do it. Having to duplicate sources just because of the eclipse way of making classpath and also because of somebody doing stupid project structure

  Hy guys, after a lot of problem with my hoster, i decided to disable connection pooling of my application. The problem was related to the number of concurrent connections : only five. So i decided to disable connection pooling: the result is that my web app don't crash. So i'm asking you: are there some "collateral" effect disabling connection pooling ? Is it so important ? I didn't noticed bad performance after disabling it. Thank you for your (i'm sure) precious advice!

  Hi guys, in my app i got a TTLauncher Object with some TTLauncherItems in it. Now i want to add some Items dynamically inside my App by pressing a button. Is there a simple way to do that or do i have to create my own methods? In the original facebook application there is already something like that implemented. (You can add your Friends to the Launcher) If not, what would be the best thing to do something like that? Store all "extra items" in a plist oder even in a database and query them, each time TTLauncher object is initialized? Thanks for help :)

  Hi Guys, I just installed Jython 2.5.1. I want to convert my Python file into Java class file and it is instructed on the website to use the jythonc command-line tool but I can't find it. Does anyone know where I could find it? Basically what i was trying to accomplish is to get my Python code running client-side in a browser and the best way seemed to be by creating an applet using Jython. I don't want to create a desktop application and using Silverlight/IronPython is out of the question. Any other ideas are welcomed. Cheers!
