• How to prevent the "other user" from appearing on the logon screen of a server?

  When I want to log into a server console (Server 2008 R2), I click Ctrl+Alt+Del and get "Other User" that I need to click before I get the log in box to add my credentials. This wouldnt be so bad, but I want to use this server as a Citrix server and so far every user that tries to connect has to click other user before they can add thier own credentials.. Has anyone got any ideas on ewhat I can do to get this to go straight to the username and password without the extra click?

• Video player with note-taking features?

  Does anyone if is any player which supports to take notes while I play a movie or something? I can use notepad, but I have to use mouse or alt-tab extensively in order to switch from notepad to the player to pause the movie. I was thinking that the guys who add subtitles are using this kind of feature. Any idea? many thanks

  I found a classic M-Series keyboard and I want to use it. However, it does not have the "Windows" key (a.k.a "Super"), only the Shift, Control and Alt modifiers.   I use a Stinkyboard Footboard to enter shortcuts with my feet on my mac. This works fine, the Footboard is recognized as another USB keyboard and the shortcuts are working. One thing that is not working is to assign two Keys like ALT + SHIFT to the foot pedal and then add another key like 1 with the keyboard I use with my hands. Is there a way to make this two keyboards combine its input into one shortcut?

The problem with that though is that you have to use both hands (the Window button is too far away from the directional buttons), which is kind of annoying because generally, one of my hands is on the mouse.   OS X is 10.6.3. I create the partition with Boot Camp, insert the Windows 7 DVD, reboot, and that's what I get. I'm at loss. When I press alt/option to bring up the boot disk selection screen, the Boot Camp partition isn't an option. I don't know if this is normal or an indication something's not quite right.

  So I have a table in MS Word which has two columns. In the second column the text is spread on multiple lines, ie I have pressed 'Enter' to achieve this. When I paste into Excel, it converts these separate lines into separate cells. What I want it to do is to keep the lines in the same cell, just on different lines, ie what would happen if I were to press Alt+Enter in a cell in excel. How would I go about this?

• Windows 8 black screen with mouse pointer after login

  I restarted my system today and after logging in, i could see see nothing but a black screen with mouse pointer. I can start task manager via alt+ctrl+del, Task manager and msconfig show fine but when i try to run 'explorer' nothing happens. In safe mode everything seems fine. I do not have any system restore points and repair options from the DVD show "this option is not available for the selected OS" I've also updated my graphic drivers. Didn't help

As in, my startup script should spin up the headless machine and then immediately perform a "startx" pointed at the vm.

  I recently started using Linux and was floored by the ease with which windows can be moved and resized with simple keyboard combinations using Compiz. If I want to move a terminal to top-right of the screen a simple CTRL+ALT+Numpad9 does the trick for me, and it resizes the window at the same time. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.
