• Redirect with htaccess for images onto another server without redirect looping

  Hey guys, I currently have a host where my main site is hosted on. I have set up nginx on another server to mirror/cache files being requested if it doesn't have it already, in particular images and flv videos. For example: www.domain.com is my main site. www.domain.com/video/video.flv www.domain.com/images/1.png I would like to ask apache to redirect it to imgserv.domain.com (imgserv.domain.com points to another server IP) imgserv.domain.com/video/video.flv imgserv.domain.com/images/1.png Basically redirect everything with certain filetypes and preserving the structure of the URL, like flv etc. I tried something but I am getting a redirect looping error. Could someone help me out? Thank you!

• Floating DIV's alignment problem.

  I have a fluid layout with DIV's of different heights and widths, and I'd like them to be aligned by lines, kind of like when you do a search on istockphoto, except aligned to the top: image here--http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb121/jpbanks/Capturadepantalla2010-06-02alas1902.png I tried floating all the DIV's to the left, but they are not aligned correctly into lines: image here--http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb121/jpbanks/Capturadepantalla2010-06-02alas1900.png See how "Prueba" doesn't go all the way to the left? I thought of the jQuery plugin Masonry but what I want is obviously different. Any solution using either CSS or jQuery would be fine. Any ideas?

I'm facing some problems with my internet connection while gaming, I have DSL 2mb connection. My main problem is latency, in the morning its good but after that its gets really bad. My internet provider says there's nothing wrong and that everything is working perfectly. I tried to explain to them the latency issue but they say that as long as I'm getting the download speed there isn't anything I can do about it. • Make Android Activity looks like dialog

  Hi, I am trying to open a dialog on widget click. I have solved the problem skinning the activity started on click with android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Dialog". Unfortunately I cannot reach the same look of a dialog. This is the outcome: http://i50.tinypic.com/n15lcy.png while I would like to reach this result (except for the button, of course): h ttp://i48.tinypic.com/2ithqpc.png (the widget dialog you can see keeping the screen pushed) As you can see there are some differences: the color of the list items, the color of the text and the list item separator. Is there a predefined theme/style to obtain the same look of a standard dialog? If not, what are the steps to follow to reach that result? I have seen that the widget provided by FoxyRing has the behaviour I would like to have. Thanks

  I'm having trouble while creating an In App Purchase in iTunes Connect. I have created a test user and am able to see the form for creating the in app purchase. However, when pressing 'Save' I get the following error message: "There was an error saving changes. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact us." This error has persisted for about 24 hours now. Have you encountered this problem, and do you know any way to get around it? Edit 2009-11-10: I just received a response from my email to Apple. It stated that they will start looking into it, and expect to have a solution within three business days. As soon as I hear something new, I'll post it here.

  I have to different ISPs, each on each own network. The main connects via ethernet and the secondary via wifi. The two networks have no relation at all. I just connect to them simultaneously. The reason I want to load balance between them is to achieve higher Internet speeds. Note: I have no advanced network hardware. • ASP.NET Charting Control no longer working with .NET 4

  I've just upgraded to .NET 4 and my ASP.NET Chart Control no longer displays. All I've done is to switch the System.Web.DataVisualization assembly from, 3.5 to 4.0. Any help greatly appreciated.

  Hi, i'm making an app that needs to be up and running at all times. (24/7) I'm not very expirienced with services, but I read on the internet that services can be made uncolasble by setting their "onclose" property to false. I have got the service monitoring my app, and the service can't be closed directly from the task manager services window... but, when I click "go to process" task manager leads me to the process the service spawned. From there I can close the process and instantly close the service. Since I don't have much expirience with services i'm wondering, is this behavior normal? If not, how to make the service unstopable?

  Hello, I am trying to call a WCF RESTful service from jQuery. I am using JSON to encode both request and response.   So I am using the Uplodify plugin to allow users to upload multiple images at once. The problem is I need to set a minimum width and height for images. Let's say 150x150px is the smallest image users can upload. How can I set this limitation in the Uploadify plugin?   I have a tab-based iPhone app where I want to increase the perceived start-up speed with a launch image. As defined by the iPhone HIG, the launch image is a screenshot of your app (called Default.png) that is displayed immediately and looks very similar to the app's first screen (e.g., the screenshot of an empty table when the app displays a table first). Now the problem with a tab-based app is that users can rearrange the order of tabs so that any of the tabs may be the first tab to show upon launch. I think I read somewhere that you can't change the Default.png programmatically in your app, but I couldn't find that in the HIG (and the "Clock" app seems to do exactly that - having one launch image per tab). So, how do provide a launch image for a tab-based app?

• Is PHP serialize function compatible UTF-8 ?

  I have a site I want to migrate from ISO to UTF-8. I have a record in database indexed by the following primary key : s:22:"Informations générales"; The problem is, now (with UTF-8), when I serialize the string, I get : s:24:"Informations générales"; (notice the size of the string is now the number of bytes, not string length) So this is not compatible with non-utf8 previous records ! Did I do something wrong ? How could I fix this ? Thanks

• passing json from servlet to dojo

  I am currently trying to pass a generated JSON string to dojo for parsing and am having some issues. The servlet simply writes it as a string as so: response.getWriter().append("{ \"data\": {"); response.getWriter().append("\"type\": \"facing\","); response.getWriter().append("\"score\": " + "\"" + score + "\","); response.getWriter().append("\"count\":" + "\"" + count + "\"" ); response.getWriter().append("}}"); which prints as: {"data":{"type":"facing","score":"10","count":"24"}} And the parsing on the dojo end looks as so: dojo.xhrPost({ url: url, handleAs: "json", load: function(data) { alert(data); /* Parse Not working */ alert(data.data[0].type); }, error: function(error) { alert("No dice") } }); The main issue is the data.data[0].type is returning nothing but when i print this out as text the json seems to be correctly formatted. Any help with this would be appreciated.

  I'm trying to create a simple login window with the very common 'Remember me' functionality. The login validation is done AJAX style, thus the browser won't remember my input. My approach is to use the built-in state functionality, but how to use it confuses me. • Drag/Drop image url in IE

  I have a requirement in our web app. to allow users to drag an image from an external site and drop it in a text editor they have open in our app. This is, as you'd expect, to let them embed the image in the document (its a rich text editor). In IE 8 this functionality appears to be broken. If I drag/drop, IE uses a relative URL for the 'src' tag on the image - which means I cannot then download the file and store it since I dont know the full address (eg: '../../imgs/myImage.png') Safari and Firefox do not do this; they provides the fully-qualified address (eg: www.mysite.com/imgs/myImage.png). Is this a bug in IE or just WebKit/Mozilla going the extra mile?

  I want to draw a text with 32 bit transparency on a graphics object. When I try, I only get black color in the result. If I try to draw a line with the same semitransparent color, it works perfectly. I was thinking it may be that SolidBrush does not support transparency, but I found a predefined brush named Transparent (Brushes.Transparent) that was a SolidBrush when I looked at it in debug. I tried to use Brushes.Transparent as the brush when drawing the text, and it was successfully not showing at all. That means I get full transparency to work, but not partial transparency.
