'sftp' is seriously lacking relative to, say, ncftp: it has no command memory, no Tab-completion of file names, and so on. Is there a non-GUI tool for SFTP that people recommend?
I am using Firefox 15.0 on OS X Mountain Lion alongside with vimperator. Note that I am using a Windows keyboard.
CtrlP is for moving focus to left tab in vimperator. However, the latest Firefox has also CtrlP to enable private browsing.
I looked for private browsing with FF "Customizable Shortcuts" addon but there is only CommandShiftP binding associated to it.
How can the CtrlP private browsing binding be turned off?
I have a Windows 2008 R2 server running RDS. I have installed and configured RemoteApp to publish applications with RDS Web Access. When I browse to https://servernname.domain.local/RDWeb I can log in and get to the RemoteApp Programs tab, but there are no icons or apps to click on. I have added a bunch of apps in Remote App manager and they are all enabled for RD Web Access. Also, I am an administrator on the server.
I noticed that there are two similar options in the "Sound" (Soundcard Configuration window-playback tab in the context menu) window in Windows 7.
What is the difference between these two options?
"Set as Default Communications Device"
"Set as Default Device"
Something went wrong while I was attempting to restore a backup, and KDE System Guard ceased to display properly.
This is the correct display (command running from root: kdesudo ksysguard):
This is the incorrect display (command: ksysguard):
Here in the incorrect display, the menu bar is missing, and the tab "Process Table" is unclickable.
I have already tried to remove the directory ~/.kde/share/apps/ksysguard/ but to no avail.
My question: How do I restore KSysGuard back to factory defaults/normal functionality?

Hi all,
I'm running OpenSuse 11.2 and Wine 1.1.28.
Even if audio is perfectly working fine for me (Skype, Banshee, etc), when I try to configure audio for Wine (to use Spotify) I cannot hear anything from the audio test.
In the winecfg audio tab, ALSA is checked, but no devices are available.
I tried to run alsaconf (it needs root permissions) but it returns:
No supported PnP or PCI card found No
legacy drivers available, either.
Any idea?
Problem:
I have a USB key with Mountain Lion on it and I want to install it on my macbook pro. I deleted the existing partition on the laptop and wanted to created a new one were to install the OS but cant because everything in the partition tab for the drive is grayed out.

In windows 7 , we can define a hotkey for connect to internet via VPN connection immediately without any prompt, through these Steps:
Create shortcut for VPN connection for example in Desktop.
Define a hotkey for that shortcut
In VPN properties options TAB dialing options uncheck this checkbox : "prompt for name and password..."
This checkbox not exist in windows 8
so we cant define in Windows 8 like that.
When downloading executables from the Internet, I always check to see if they are digitally signed before I feel safe running them.
In Windows, when right-clicking a digitally-signed file and selecting Properties, a digital signature tab will be present in the Properties dialog.
What I'd like to know is: does Windows actually verify the digital signature when it is shown in the Properties dialog, or does it merely indicate that the file contains a digital signature that may or may not be valid?
Hi,
I have been experiencing problems with icons in the dock. When I open an application that is not in the dock (e.g. from the finder), a transparent square appears. Same thing happens in the application switcher (i.e. command + tab).
Excel has the functionality to import fixed-width text files where it presents a dialog that lets you choose where the begins and ends of fields are which it puts into columns.
Does it also have functionality where, given an existing spreadsheet, you can export to a fixed-width text file?
If so, how do I access this? I have tried using Save As and choosing Text File but it seems to only save as Tab-delimited which doesn't help me.
This is Excel 2003 if it matters.
Quick example:
~ $ wor<TAB>
~ $ WORDCHARS=
WORDCHARS WORKON_HOME WORKON_HOME workon
workon is the desired command. Is there a way to exclude the environment variables from auto-completing in ZSH?
I am creating a form in Word 2007, using the controls available in the Developer tab.
On my first page, I have the user enter a name into a text control. I want to have a control on the second page to automatically fill in with the same text as the first one.
Is there any way to link these controls together?
I have this problem when my macbook air sometimes does not connect to free wifi hotspots. When the problem happens and I try to run the diagnostics, it normally gets to yellow network settings tab. It seems that it for some reason does not acquire automatically the router or dns address. Sometimes after I shut it down and restart it magically connects to the wifi hotspot but it is very inconsistent. Anyone knows a fix for this problem?
How can I specify multiple startup tasks in Conemu? I want to have each task in a separate tab opened on startup.
Something like:
ConEmu64.exe /cmdlist {Powershell}|{FAR}|{VSConsole}
Unfortunately, this command does not support "console scripts" ("Console script are not supported here").
I know, I can create another task, combining the commands of my desired tasks (full commands, because task command does not support console scripts). Is there any other way ?
I've been using Quicksilver for a while now but lately I've been getting this problem that QS doesn't show the Acrobat Reader icon when a PDF is selected, but goes to the "Open With" tab.
See the screenshot here: http://skitch.com/niels.bom/n8nw5/google-reader-1000
Is this a bug? Or did I somehow bork a preference setting?
I'm using QS B54, 3815, which is the latest AFAIK and Mac OS X 10.5.8.
Thanks!
Create a Database Model Diagram
Reverse Engineer a database (Database Tab, Reverse Engineer).
Once the diagram is created, how do you resize the tables?
I've tried:
Enable Developer mode, Choose Protection, Choose None. When I do that, I'm given the impression that I should be able to resize a given table but I cannot actually do it.
Enable Developer mode, right-click on a table, Choose Show ShapeSheet, Set all Lock values in the Protection section to 0.
I've recently converted to using zsh instead of bash in OSX and was wondering if it is possible to do the following:
When I launch my terminal I would like to start various tabs and have each tab run a different process e.g tailing logs, running ruby scripts etc.
Currently I need to cmd+n multiple tabs and then manually start each process. While this doesn't take long I would like to be able to just launch my terminal and have these various tabs start and run those commands automatically.
Is this possible?
Please share your favorite mc tips here.
My favorites:
I just learned that Alt+. enables easily to toggle display of hidden files (on mc 4.7).
Ctrl+\ - favorite dirs
Alt+s - quick search
BTW:
how to use command line completion without switching to Ctrl+o mode? (TAB does not work, since it changes panels)
how to insert full path of the current panel into the command line?
Hi,
I am using Windows 7 64bit with IE 8. Lately I have been getting this issue, my AVG treats this thunder.dll file as a trojan horse. The thunder.dll is located at C:\Windows\SysWOW64\thunder.dll.
Whenever, I open IE8 or a new tab on IE8, the avg will prompt the warning about thunder.dll file as a posing threat. Can anyone please advise what should I do?
Thank you.

I have a couple of servers with DRAC 6 cards for which I want to set the boot device to PXE via a script. The Web GUI has the option under the "Setup" tab and "First Boot Device". How can I set (and unset) this option in a script?
