• Web Crawling Sites with Javascripts or web forms

  Hello everyone, I have a webcrawler application. It successfully crawled most common and simple sites. Now i ran into some types of websites wherein HTML documents are dynamically generated through FORMS or javascripts. I believe they can be crawled and I just don't know how. Now, these websites do not show the actual HTML page. I mean if I browse that page in IE or firefox, the HTML code does not match what's actually in the IE or firefox. These sites contain textboxes, checkboxes, etc... so I believe they are what they call "Web Forms". Actually I am not much familiar with web development so correct me if I'm wrong. My question is, does anyone in similar situation as I am now and have successfully solved these types of "challenges"? Does anyone know of a certain book or article regarding web crawling? Those that pertains to these advanced type of websites? Thanks.

  What I'd like to be able to do is: in config/routes.rb resources :posts in config/locale/en.yml en: resources: posts: "posts" new: "new" edit: "edit" in config/locale/tr.yml tr: resources: posts: "yazilar" new: "yeni" edit: "duzenle" and get I18n.locale = :en edit_post_path(3) #=> /posts/3/edit I18n.locale = :tr edit_post_path(3) #=> /yazilar/3/duzenle I'd also like rails to match any of these routes anytime and pass the associated locale in the params hash such that when I navigate to /yazilar , the request should be routed to the posts#index action. Any simple way of doing that?

SELECT * FROM dbo.table1 WHERE dbo.RegexMatch(column1, '[0-9][A-Z]') = 1 -- match entries in col1 like 1A, 2B etc... I'm just thinking it would be nice to reformulate that query so it could be called like SELECT * FROM dbo.table1 WHERE column1 REGEXLIKE '[0-9][A-Z]' Is it possible to create new comparison operators using CLR Code. (I'm guessing from my brief glance around the web that the answer is NO, but no harm asking)

• A regular expression that will allow a string with only one Capital Letter

  The string should be 6 - 20 characters in length. And it should contain 1 Capital letter. I can do this in code using C# string st = "SomeString" Regex rg = new Regex("[A-Z]"); MatchCollection mc = rg.Matches(st); Console.WriteLine("Total Capital Letters: " + mc.Count); if (mc.Count > 1) { return false; } But what i really want is a Regular expression that will match my string if it only contains one capital.   Suppose I have an ambiguous language expressed in combinator parser. Is there a way to make certain expressions locally greedy? • Best practice for copying private instance vars with NSCopying

  I might be missing something obvious here, but I'm implementing NSCopying on one of my objects. That object has private instance variables that are not exposed via getters, as they shouldn't be used outside the object. In my implementation of copyWithZone:, I need alloc/init the new instance, but also set up its state to match the current instance. I can obviously access current private state from inside copyWithZone:, but I can't set it into the new object, because there are no accessors for that state. Is there a standard way around this while still keeping data privacy intact? Thanks.

• Managing multiple .NET languages in a web application

  I am part of a development team building a new ASP.NET 3.5 web application. Two of us are C# coders, and the other is a VB.NET coder. I know that we can mix languages on a per-project basis, and one can build classes in one language that inherit from classes written in the other language in a different project (which we are already doing), but I can see us getting into a situation where we might well end up with cyclic dependencies between our various project DLLs. Other than simply having a high number of projects (more seperation of concerns into more libraries), how have you managed this situation on your own projects? Note - I believe this question to be different enough from the only similar match I could find (this one) on the basis that we are not wanting to use different languages in order to take advantage of their specific features per se, but rather to make use of what developer resource is available to us (i.e. one dev just happens to be VB.NET only).

• Why would you want a case sensitive database?

  What are some reasons for choosing a case sensitive collation over a case insensitive one? I can see perhaps a modest performance gain for the DB engine in doing string comparisons. Is that it? If your data is set to all lower or uppercase then case sensitive could be reasonable but it's a disaster if you store mixed case data and then try to query it. You have then apply a lower() function on the column so that it'll match the corresponding lower case string literal. This prevents index usage in every dbms. So wondering why anyone would use such an option.

• Changing system colors for a single application (Windows, .NET)

  I know I should generally avoid messing up with such system settings, but my application do already use nonstandard colors and I have no influence on that. I would like to be able to add standard .NET controls in some places, but their colors do not match. I would like to have a hack that would replace system colors for this one application. One more important thing to note is that it is a .NET application. My (incomplete) ideas so far were: To create a proxy User32.dll library with replaced GetSysColor, but it would be very tedious (731 functions to be redirected, 1 to be replaced) and I do not know how to force my application to use that particular copy. To intercept somehow invocations to GetSysColors (unfortunatelly it is somewhere in the CLR I think). To modify somehow .NET class SystemColors (in memory? is it possible?). Do you have any idea, what is the best (and complete) way to achieve this?

How do I have to setup my search in order for this to work so I get an exact match for the tag and value ?

  I have a table of contacts and a table of postcode data. I need to match the first part of the postcode and the join that with the postcode table... and then perform an update... I want to do something like this...   HI,all I am trying to install an app in the iphone using the adhoc build configuration for this i have made all the things first i created the app id that is enable fort he APNS and then create the profile and certificates and than i download to my system and then in the project i have made a plist name Adhoc_Entitlements.plist and in the code signing entitlements i put it name with extension and in the bundle identifier i put the name of the identifier that is used in the provision file and when i try to install in the device it throws the error i have mentioned,Any solution or anything that i am doing wrong.This is the error message i got when i try to install in the device. If i was to do that how do i ensure i just get one product and not a collection.

  I have a template class, called Cell, here the definition: template <class T> class OneCell { ..... } I have a cast operator from Cell to T, here virtual operator const T() const { ..... } Now i have derived class, called DCell, here template <class T> class DCell : public Cell<T> { ..... } I need to override the Cell's cast operator (insert a little if), but after I need to call the Cell's cast operator. In other methods it's should be something like virtual operator const T() const { if (...) { return Cell<T>::operator const T; } else throw ... } but i got a compiler error error: argument of type 'const int (Cell::)()const' does not match 'const int' What can I do? What am i doing wrong here?

We are storing the hash and the binary file in a SQL DB. This works fine when we upload the same instance of a file. But when we save a new instance of the file from the DB (with today's date as the create/modify) on the file-system and then check the new hash versus the MD5 stored in the DB they do not match, and therefor fail a duplicate check. How can we check for a file hash excluding the file attributes? or is there a different issue here?

• Strange behaviour with Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms

  I have a Windows Mobile application in which I want to check the device orientation. Therefore I wrote the following property in one of my forms: internal static Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms.ScreenOrientation DeviceOriginalOrientation { get; private set; } The strange thing is that after that whenever I open a UserControl, the designer shows this warning even if that UserControl doesn't use the property: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=969db8053d3322ac' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) Commenting the above property will dismiss the warning and shows the user control again. The application is built successfully and runs without any problems in both cases. Does anybody know why this happens and how can I fix it?

  I've been trying to figure out how to write this regular expression. It is to be used for ISAPI_Rewrite, a module for IIS 6, for doing URL rewriting. I want the url /hg/<parameter> to be mathed, so it can be rewrited to /hg/hgwebdir.cgi/<parameter>. I've matched it using ^/hg/(.*). My problem is, if the URL /hg/hgwebdir.cgi/<parameter> is used, the regex should NOT match. Using the above regex with this URL, will rewrite to /hg/hgwebdig.cgi/hgwebdig.cgi/<parameter> which is not correct. Can you help me create the matching pattern?
