• Python - a clean approach to this problem?

  Hi, I am having trouble picking the best data structure for solving a problem. The problem is as below: I have a nested list of identity codes where the sublists are of varying length. li = [['abc', 'ghi', 'lmn'], ['kop'], ['hgi', 'ghy']] I have a file with two entries on each line; an identity code and a number. abc 2.93 ghi 3.87 lmn 5.96 Each sublist represents a cluster. I wish to select the i.d. from each sublist with the highest number associated with it, append that i.d. to a new list and ultimately write it to a new file. What data structure should the file with numbers be read in as? Also, how would you iterate over said data structure to return the i.d. with the highest number that matches the i.d. within a sublist?   I'm having trouble with this reg expression which i belive is correct, but it is not working. What im trying to do is redirect bunch of urls containing a specific string like this: http://www.example.com/**undesired-string**_another-string to http://www.example.com/**new-string**_another-string and http://www.example.com/folder/**undesired-string**/another-string to http://www.example.com/folder/**new-string**/another-string So i have this code in the .htaccess: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule (.+)+(undesired-string)+(.+) $1new-string$2 [R=301,L] </IfModule> This should replace ANY undesired-string in any url to new-string, but it is not working, any idea why ?   Hi, I display a list of items via select1 control using xxforms:tree appearance. They are displayed via a code block like: <xforms:itemset nodeset="instance('dataInstance')/*"> <xforms:label ref="fn:concat(./NAME,', ','ID: ',./ID)"/> <xforms:value ref="./ID"/> </xforms:itemset> </xforms:select1> I want to display two icons for each item on the same row as the item: one icon for deleting and one for editing that item, which would all invoke XPL with the item ID as the parameter. The question, how do I render those icons - does itemset support nested trigger elements? If not, how do I go about achieving it (clicking on the item results in an action other than edit or delete, so cannot use that; can show delete/edit on the page shown when user clicks on the item, but want to save that one click if the user just wants to delete the item for example). • Finding the most similar numbers across multiple lists in Python

  In Python, I have 3 lists of floating-point numbers (angles), in the range 0-360, and the lists are not the same length. I need to find the triplet (with 1 number from each list) in which the numbers are the closest. (It's highly unlikely that any of the numbers will be identical, since this is real-world data.) I was thinking of using a simple lowest-standard-deviation method to measure agreement, but I'm not sure of a good way to implement this. I could loop through each list, comparing the standard deviation of every possible combination using nested for loops, and have a temporary variable save the indices of the triplet that agrees the best, but I was wondering if anyone had a better or more elegant way to do something like this. Do I need to use nested routes? I am able to do @user.reviews.new(params[:review]) but I'm not being able of passing the wsp_id and the service_id. • Notepad++ Move Caret Outside Bracket

  I've searched everywhere and can't find an answer to something incredibly simple and useful for Notepad++. When using autoclose, the cursor gets stuck inside, which is good until I've finished typing the parameters. How do I get the caret to jump outside of the currently nested autoclosed element? Regardless of it being (), {}, [], "", '', ? CTRL+B does does something similar, but it goes to the inside of the left bracket first, and then to the outside of the right bracket, which is where I want to be. This only works for brackets though, not tags and qoutations Hitting CTRL+B twice is cumbersome and manually hitting "right arrow" requires too much hand motion while coding. And finally, is there anyway I can map this to "SHIFT+Space"?

  Hello, I have a matrix in a txt file and I want to load the matrix based on my input of number of rows and columns For example, I have a 5 by 5 matrix in the file. I want to extract a 3 by 3 matrix, how can I do that ? I created a nested loop using : FILE *sample sample=fopen("randomfile.txt","r"); for(i=0;i<rows;i++){ for(j=0;j<cols;j++){ fscanf(sample,"%f",&matrix[i][j]); } fscanf(sample,"\n",&matrix[i][j]); } fclose(sample); Sadly the code does not work .. If I have this matrix : 5.00 4.00 5.00 6.00 5.00 4.00 3.00 25.00 5.00 3.00 4.00 23.00 5.00 2.00 352.00 6.00 And inputting 3 for rows and 3 for columns, I get : 5.00 4.00 5.00 6.00 5.00 4.00 3.00 25.00 5.00 Which is obviously wrong , its reading line by line rather than skipping the unmentioned column ...   I'm having trouble with redirecting urls using the .htaccess file. For some reason it adds "?file_name=example-001.php" to the url. Anyone know's why this is happening and how to fix this?

Is it possible to modify the Wrapper definition, to require TValue to be a generic type, and use this 'nested' generic type parameter insted of the TKey type parameter?

  I am currently building my own CMS for various reasons that could take a long to explain... However i am looking for a dynamic solution to create templates for pages within the CMS and all areas must be editable via the administration area, maybe large text areas broken into multiple areas, text and image area on a page etc. Following on from the above i would like to create the following: Create a new page (selecting a pre-defined template like below) http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9872/nestedpages.png and then upon editing the page it would have created as many text editors required for each editable region or a file upload control for an image area for example. i am thinking of using nested masterpages for the design elements, just unsure the best-practice way to achieve the above (db structure etc) I somehow hope this provides enough information but are happy to answer any questions you may have.   I'm running into problems trying to pass absolute URIs as parameters with clean URLs enabled. I've got hook_menu() set up like this: function mymodule_menu() { return array( 'page/%' = array( 'title' = 'DBpedia Display Test', 'page callback' = 'mymodule_dbpedia_display', 'page arguments' = array(1), ), ); } and in the page callback: function mymodule_dbpedia_display($uri) { // Make an HTTP request for this URI // and then render some things return $output; } What I'm hoping to do is somehow pass full URIs (e.g. "http://dbpedia.org/resource/Coffee") to my page callback. I've tried a few things and nothing's worked so far... http://mysite.com/page/http%3A%2F%2Fdbpedia.org%2Fresource%2FCoffee Completely breaks Drupal's rewriting http://mysite.com/page/?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdbpedia.org%2Fresource%2FCoffee Gives a 404 http://mysite.com/page/http://dbpedia.org/resource/Coffee Returns just "http:", which makes sense I could probably use $_GET to pull out the whole query string, but I guess I'm hoping for a more 'Drupal' solution. Any suggestions?

Due to the complexity of the business objects ( nested hierarchies ) I want to flatten out my business objects into a dataset/datatable. There are many more tutorials and how-to on successfully using datatables in a report than with a business object so I am pretty attached to this idea. My question is what sort of DataSet should I use? Strongly typed or not? If strongly typed how do I import my business objects into the Datatables?

• Getting "too many rows" error inside a "for" cursor loop

  I have a trigger that contains two cursors loops, one nested inside the other like this: FOR outer_rec IN outer_cursor LOOP FOR inner_rec IN inner_cursor LOOP -- Do some calculations END LOOP; END LOOP; Somewhere in this it is throwing the following error: ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows I've been trying to determine where it's coming from for an hour or so.. but should this error never happen? Also.. I am assuming the inner loop automatically closes and opens itself again every time the outer loop goes the next record, i hope this is correct.

  I'm building a versioned API, so I have the following nested controllers: ApiController < ApplicationController Api::V1Controller < ApiController Api::V1::EventsController < Api::V1Controller The API is accessed via a subdomain. I have the following routes: constraints(:subdomain => "api") do scope :module => 'api' do namespace :v1 do resources :events end end end This produces the type of URL I want (/v1/events). The problem I'm facing is when using responds_with in Api::V1::EventsController. Just doing something as simple as the below fails with the error too few arguments: def index @events = Event.all respond_with(@events) end I know respond_width is meant to be used with resources, but I'm not sure how the events resource should be accessed from the constrained, scoped, and namespaced route. I can output other things (such as current_user), just not an array of events. Help?

I'm having trouble with the separator bar | printing at the beginning when I don't want it to: foo = "blah" paste_all_together = NULL for (n in 1:4) { paste_together = paste(foo ,sep = "") paste_all_together = paste(paste_all_together, paste_together, sep = "|") } > paste_all_together [1] "|blah|blah|blah|blah" I just want it to print out "blah|blah|blah|blah". Do I need a nested loop, or is there a better itterator in R for doing this? Or perhaps a better way to input SQL statements?

• [as3] Movieclip.width returns higher value than Movieclip stage on Width.

  I have a Movieclip on stage with nested movieclips inside. All referenced at 0,0. None of the child movieclips load any dynamic content, animate or have Masked Layers. It does have an input textfield in one of the child MCs. The parent MC shows 280 px width, while it returns 313 px with a .width trace. There is no code that alters the .width value of the parent MC at run-time. And the ParentMC on stage is not scaled (it is at 100% width/height). Any pointers, to what could be the reasons for the discrepancy in .width values on stage and on run-time? Its breaking the scaling code that follows.

  Im trying to create a xml file from a POJO , in which i have a property that stores urls, I have been using the below method to replace all & in the url String to make the xml conform to standards and pass it as an html char entity but the string does not change. public static String forHrefAmpersand(String aURL){ return aURL.replaceAll("&", "&"); } the value might be www.abc.com/controller?a=1&next=showResults I have even tried changing the above method to use "/" as i read replaceAll uses regular expression but replaceAll is not working as exprected, Can anyone tell me what is the mistake im doing ? • Problem with httpContext.RewritePath on IIS 7

  I am using httpContext.RewritePath in Global.asax for som URLrewriting, and it works very well in my development environment on the Cassini server. But when I copy it to the production server, witch is a IIS 7 it isn't working. I have also tried to use Context.Server.TransferRequest but thne I get the error: "This operation requires IIS integrated pipeline mode." on both Cassini and IIS 7, and on IIS 7 the website is running in "Integreret" mode in the AppPool. I rewrite all urls on the website like /[The main menuname]/[pagename].aspx fx from /web/thesite.aspx?mainmenu=manager to /manager/thesite.aspx OR /web/theOtherSite.aspx?mainmenu=about to /about/theOtherSite.aspx And so on...   I have defined a class named MyClass and I have defined two methods myMethod1 and myMethod2 for it: function MyClass() {} MyClass.prototype.myMethod1 = function() {...}; MyClass.prototype.myMethod2 = function() {...}; Inside myMethod1, I use jQuery and there's a callback closure defined there: MyClass.prototype.myMethod2 = function() { $.jQuery({success: function(data) { this.myMethod2(); }, ...}); } Now the problem is that this no longer is referring to MyClass. The question is how can I refer to it? At the moment I have assigned it to a variable named thisObj and access it this way: MyClass.prototype.myMethod2 = function() { var thisObj = this; $.jQuery({success: function(data) { thisObj.myMethod2(); }, ...}); } Is there a better way to access MyClass.this from the closure nested in myMethod2? What i intend to do is get z.php to read a text file called 'sites.txt' which has a list of sites: site1.com/a.php site2.com/b.php site3.com/c.php to execute the urls in the sites in 'sites.txt' i want it to go through siteA.com/z.php?ip=xxx.xxx.xx.xxx&location=UK (z.php will then read 'sites.txt') All sites in the 'sites.txt' file will be executed as site1.com/a.php?ip=xxx.xxx.xx.xxx&location=UK site2.com/b.php?ip=xxx.xxx.xx.xxx&location=UK I hope that makes more sense, i have tried looking around but couldnt find what i was looking for.
