  • Line for signature in markdown

    I'm writing a document using markdown, which I'm exporting to a PDF using pandoc. At the end of the document I need to have space for signatures on a printed copy of the PDF. I've tried to find how to draw a line with a fixed width, but so far I only got to escaping the underscore character, which doesn't feel quite right. It's as if I'm missing something, this couldn't possibly be that unusual to want to do. Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated.

    Hi. sscanf(text, "%s %s", name, company); parses 'ian mceknis' but it also parses 'ian mceknis' and so on. How can i make this to parse only the first one? It must contain only one space not more. Thank you.

  • LaTeX, Two columns, Listings and Numbers

    Hi, I'm trying to get a report done and I have a small problem with the twocolums and the line numbering in listings. The text is on two columns, the listings can be on the two columns as well. If I put the number=left, the space between the columns is not sufficient and the text from the first column is written over. Is there any way to ask the listings to put the line numbers "outside" ? Isn't it a lot cheaper to simply use LAMP + CI or Rails to develop web application ? Can Spring be used to develop desktop applications ?

    I have a server and a client written in C. I try to load a shared library in the server and then pass library function pointers to the client. This way I can change the library without have to compile the client. Because of every process has its own separate memory space, I wonder if it is possible to load a shared library on a shared memory, pass the function pointers and map the shared memory on the client and then make the client execute the code of the library loaded by the server.

For example, there are particular projects I've inherited which, when working on, I cannot use the CTRL+SPACE dropdown symbol list in the Delphi editor without getting an Access Violation error, this would easily top my list but there are many more.     I need to use preg_match to check that only a-z0-9. is used (including full stop(.)). I don't want to replace anything. My problem is that it doesn't notice white space at beginning of a string.
