  I have a cluster (4 node ) and a node have 16 core and 24 gb ram: 192.168.23.114 datacenter1 rack1 Up Normal 44.48 GB 25.00% 192.168.23.115 datacenter1 rack1 Up Normal 44.51 GB 25.00% 192.168.23.116 datacenter1 rack1 Up Normal 44.51 GB 25.00% 192.168.23.117 datacenter1 rack1 Up Normal 44.51 GB 25.00% We use about 10 column family (counter column) to make some system statistic report. Problem on here is that When i set replication_factor of this keyspace from 1 to 2 (contain 10 counter column family ), all cpu of node increase from 10% ( when use replication factor=1) to --- 90%. :( :( who can help me work around that :( . why counter column consume too much cpu time :(. thanks all

  Guys i have the following oracle sql query that gives me the monthwise report between the dates. Basically for nov month i want sum of values between the dates 01nov to 30 nov. The table tha is being queried is residing in another database and accesssed using dblink. The DT columns is of NUMBER type (for ex 20101201) .The execution of the query is taking a day long and not completed. kindly suggest me , if their is any optimisation that can be suggested to my DBA on the dblink, or any tuning that can be done on the query , or rewriting the same. • How to tell when my batch of EAP calls are completed?

  This is following my question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2607038/c-how-to-consume-web-service-adheres-to-the-event-based-asynchronous-pattern My program is calling the DoStuffAsync() x many times in a batch, hence the callback will get invoked the same number of times upon OnComplete(). Is there a way to find out when my batch is finished such that I can generate a report on the success/failed results? All I can think of is to have a static count variable for x and deduct 1 every time OnComplete() is called, but its kind of silly and error prone I'm afraid. TIA.

• SQL query duration is longer for smaller dataset?

  I received reports that a my report generating application was not working. After my initial investigation, I found that the SQL transaction was timing out. I'm mystified as to why the query for a smaller selection of items would take so much longer to return results. Quick query (averages 4 seconds to return): SELECT * FROM Payroll WHERE LINEDATE >= '04-17-2010'AND LINEDATE <= '04-24-2010' ORDER BY 'EMPLYEE_NUM' ASC, 'OP_CODE' ASC, 'LINEDATE' ASC Long query (averages 1 minute 20 seconds to return): SELECT * FROM Payroll WHERE LINEDATE >= '04-18-2010'AND LINEDATE <= '04-24-2010' ORDER BY 'EMPLYEE_NUM' ASC, 'OP_CODE' ASC, 'LINEDATE' ASC I could simply increase the timeout on the SqlCommand, but it doesn't change the fact the query is taking longer than it should. Why would requesting a subset of the items take longer than the query that returns more data? How can I optimize this query?

  Hi, I need to set a unique color to each bar in the stacked bar chart. Whatever the color I see in one bar it shouldn't be repeated in any other bar or any other stack. For example: I have 5 bars in the report. Each bar has 3 different stacks. I want to apply a red related colors to the first bar and its stacks. Second bar should have blue related colors. etc..   Hi All While I am running on MS Access myapplication.mdb, I am always getting this error "Microsoft Office Access Has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience, send error to report , don't send...". I tried to create a new application.mdb then to import the database, the form and the modules but I couldn't because I'm getting the same error while I'm importing most of the modules. P.S.: I'm trying to import the modules one by one but for the majority of the modules I encounter this error. I tried to open an old version of myapplication.mdb then to import the updated modules but just when I selected the damaged application to import the updated module I got this famous error directly... Any help will be highly appreciated...

• Is MS Reporting Services suitable for stand-alone reports?

  Hello all: I work for a ISV. Our product can use both SQL Server and Oracle as its back-end server. It includes a number of reports (currently in Crystal). We are investigating moving to Micrsoft Reporting Services, but I'm beginning to think that it's a bad idea. We want for our reports to look and feel as though they are a part of our application, and we will not require SQL Server (the customer can choose Oracle). Although I see the reporting services supports a stand-alone mode (RDLC), the boundry between what requires SQL server and what doesn't looks extremely ambiguous. (example, the stand-alone report builder appears to require SQL Server, most of the documentation appears to be part of SQL Server's documentation) It looks to me like if I want to keep my application DB-agnostic, I had better steer clear of Reporting Services. Have I missed the boat here?

  My Application (Vb.net, Access 2003/2007) is to scan Access Database files for activex controls and to generate report accordingly. Problem: Getting an error like: "Insufficient memory to continue the execution of the program." The above error occurs while scanning for older version of Access files like prior to office 2000. And the line of code where I get this is as follows: Dim oForm As Access.Form Dim oAccess as Access.Application oForm = oAccess.Forms(objForms.Name) But it opens the file and form as well. • MS-Access 2007 Runtime SendObject Crash

  I have programmed an Access Database program using Access 2007. I have a button that points to the event: DoCmd.SendObject acSendReport to have it email a PDF report (acFormatPDF). Everything works fine in the normal Access 2007 program, but when a user opens the program with Access 2007 Runtime, when clicking on this button it goes through the normal steps (notifying Outlook, waiting for Allow/Deny clearance), and then after you click Allow, the program crashes with a Runtime Error. Does anybody know what is going on here? Is this a normal error with Access Runtime? I have tried other file formats (RTF and XLS) instead of PDF, but it seems to be the SendObject command that is crashing the Runtime Environment? Clarification: Access Runtime does not output an error code upon this crash. Just a window stating a "runtime error has occurred".

  I've a report which shows five different activity codes. I'd like to sum all like codes and place a total for each of the 5 activity codes in a group footer. I have it working for one activity code, but would like to write a formula which will look for all five and total each. • Is it possible to use SWT on a Mac with Mac Java 1.6

  The official Eclipse site seems to indicate this is not possible: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=216051 which says: Apple is not supporting the 64-bit carbon API. SWT is written using carbon so it must be 32-bit. Apple won't support 32-bit JDK 1.6. Therefore SWT won't run on JDK 1.6 (along with any other Java program that had natives that made carbon calls). Nothing we can do here other than port to cocoa (which has been started but is still in the early stages). Is this still true? (This bug report comment is from over a year ago.) Is there no way to write an SWT app that I can distribute and will run on any Mac unless the user installs an old/Sun VM?

How to implement callback (or receive a message) in supervisor that will be called when child exit normally?   Hello I have an asp.net application which I used some Ajax method. in some cases I open an new window ( Full Screen ) and users must work on it. the problem is , some users report me that some times new window was blank and didnt show any content , in status bar just write connecting .... and nothing else. Just when customers closed all opening browser and open again , they can view pages. this happend when users work for a while and click open new window links before the page loaded compeletly. how can I fix this problem? regards

  I have two Custom Validators attached to a textbox. The textbox is to enter comma separated list of emails. The first validator checks that there is not duplicate email address. The second custom validator checks that all the email addresses are in valid format. I have following code and it works fine. However, when both the failure criteria is met both of them are firing and I get two * at the right side of my textbox. What is the best approach to show only one * at a time? • "lock request time out period exceeded" Error When Trying to See DB Hierarchies

  I have a DB that I can run basic queries (albeit much slower than normal) off of. When I try to see the hierarchy trees for tables, views, or procedures in SSMS Object Explorer, I get the "lock request time out period exceeded". My Report Server reports that run off of objects in this DB are no longer completing. Jobs associated with procedures stored on this DB also do not run. I tried using sp_who2 to find and kill all connections on the DB. This has not solved the problem. What is going on here? How can I resolve this?

How would you do this? I can't depend on the date/time as this is a login report that is constantly getting updated - all I want is to ensure that the last line ends with that email address. And I can't figure out how to do it using Selenium expressions, DOM, or XPath.
