• Export Certificate Windows Server 2008

  I need to export the private key of a self-created SSL-certificate on a Windows Server 2008. However at Microsoft Management Console (the certificate is located, if it matter, in Personal-Certificate folder) the option "Yes, export the private key" is greyed out. Reading the provided help section it tells that the certificate needed to "be made exportable" during creation. However it also says that it is ONLY a limitation if it was created using Windows Server 2003. It doesn´t say anything how to fix it though on a Windows 2008 Server. The certificate is self-signed. I want to export to PKCS12 format. I´m accessing MMC as administrator so there should not be any permission issues. How can I make this certificate "exportable"?

  I can't figure out a way to allow more than 4000 bytes to be received at once via a call to a stored procedure. I am storing images in the table that are around 15 - 20 kilobytes each, but upon getting them and displaying them to the page, they are always exactly 3.91 KB in size (or 4000 bytes). Do stored procedures have a limit on how much data can be sent at once? I double-checked my data, and I am indeed only receiving the first 4000 characters from the varbinary(MAX) field. Is there a permission setting to allow more than 4k bytes at once?

I would be able to define these groups: supplier (my company) subcontractors customer Then, I would be able to define three type of permissions for issues: Issue that can be viewed only by supplier Issue that can be viewed only by supplier and subcontractors Issue that can be viewed by all (supplier, subcontractors, customer) I tried redmine but I didn't find a way of hide some issues, they are always visible. There is an open issue and a patch for that but I not sure if it suit well for my situation. With this patch you need always to remember to make it private and there is only a level of permission: private or not. I need something more flexible. • Mail server DNS failed to resolved by Mac clients

  We have two internal DNS servers. One is located on a linux server box and the other is the router's DNS management. We set the linux box as primary DNS via DHCP and the router as secondary. We have a few Mac clients that are accessing our internal mail server (hostnamed "mail" internally). When using IMAP or SMTP against the mail server internally, the mac boxes will sometimes fail to locate the server. If I use NSLOOKUP I can see that "mail" is pointed to the correct IP address and is being resolved via the correct DNS server, but if I ping "mail" it fails. ~ (bash)$ nslookup mail Server: 254.254.254.206 Address: 254.254.254.206#53 Name: mail.example.com Address: 254.254.254.205 Note: I replaced our actual internal IP address with 254.254.254.* If I wait a few minutes (3-5 minutes), somehow it resolves itself and sends successfully. This happens multiple times a day.   Hi guys, I'm having a web game loaded in orkut application via iframe so there are the orkut iframe and mine iframe inside the xml. Everything is ok, but now I need to have a button for inviting some friends and wall posts from some features. I didn't find a way for including the orkut javascript in the game's code so the first thing that pops into my mind was to call a custom function in the xml by using: window.parent.myFunction(); but it gives me error: permission denied. I've tried some other ways of reaching that function but the error is the same. Does anybody know a way of doing that or this can't be done ?

• Why can't my C# app create files in Windows 7?

  I have a C# app that creates a settings file for itself to store the current state of certain visual elements. This app works just fine on any machine that isn't running Windows 7, but on those machines we get an error that the settings file can't be created because the user doesn't have permission. Now, I could fix this issue by going to each computer, logging in as the administrator and giving the user read and write access on the program folder for the application that we've installed, but there has to be a better way. It seems like in XP, you got write access on the folders you created by default, but that isn't the case anymore. Is there a setting I need in the setup package to make this work?

  I'm using JQuery mobile frame work. I'm having a server which host a website. The user can connect to website through mobile browser and download files(.doc, .xls, .pdf etc) from that website. I need to open the file which is saved in the user's mobile programmatically using java script. I tried to open using location.href="file://sdcard/download/test.doc". But it didn't work.   I'm trying to remotely access a shared folder with a Windows Service set to NetworkService account permissions. However, I get errors when I try to do this, e.g. Directory.Exists(servicePath) returns false, FileSystemWatcher doesn't recognize activity in the directory. If I change the service's account to LocalSystem, these methods work. I don't want to give the service root-level access, though. It seems to be a permissions problem, so how can I give the service permission to access the directory and monitor it?

  I am using the Kohana 3 framework, and am using the native session driver. For some reason, occasionally the sessions fail to write to their file. Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/tmp/sess_*****, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in /home/site/public_html/system/classes/kohana/session/native.php on line 27 I am pretty sure Kohana has its own in built error handler, but it is not triggered with this error (i.e. it shows up like a normal PHP error, not the Kohana error). Anyone that has ever used Kohana will notice this seems to have bypassed Kohana's error handling (perhaps set with set_error_handler()). Is there anyway to stop this error from appearing without switching from the native session (i.e. file based) driver? Should I just give good practice the boot and append an @ error suppressor to session_start() in the core code of Kohana? Should I relax the error_reporting()? Thanks

  I have the below code which fires the GeoCoordinateWatcher PositionChanged event for every 0.5 meteres .It might be less.But thats my requirement. The issue is when i am walking with phone doesnt fire the event at every 0.5 meters instead it fires the event after 0.5 meters randomly.And sometimes when i move fast it fires few events one after another immediately. • Data validation between SQL replicated tables

  Hi All, I am trying to figure out a way to validate the data in my publisher and subscriber in SQL 2005 replication. I thought of using sp_publication_validation, but it needs db_owner permission and we are not allowed to have it in our company. So I did bit more reading and found out about two other SPs that I think work for me. First one is sp_article_validation, which I plan to run on the publisher. For each article that I call this SP, its gonna give the row count and a checksum. With that info, I intend to call sp_table_validation on the subscriber, passing the row count and checksum from the previous SP, there by validating both tables. What do you guys think? Is this a proven way to validate data in replication? There is very little documentation on these SPs. Since my domain account is a member of the local Administrators group on these boxes, is there still a way to override them locally?   Hi i'm doing a fb app that update the status box(what's in your mind), i'm using set_status from facebooker .. first i have this error: set_status needs extended permission so i google it and find this: before_filter :ensure_has_status_update .. so i put it in my controller and that solves the problem, but when i try to update the status, all ways redirect me to a fb page that says: You have already granted permissions to this application. so i go to the controller comment before_filter :ensure_has_status_update and then go to my app again and it works.. so i want to do this if (has_status_update == false) ask for permision else update the status i google it for a long time but i can't find an answer..

  Question: Is there a mechanism in the .NET Framework to hide one custom Type from another without using separate projects/assemblies? I'm using C# with ASP.NET in a Website project (Note: Not a Web Application). Obviously there's not a way to enforce this restriction using language-specific OO keywords so I am looking for something else, for example: maybe a permission framework or code access mechanism, maybe something that uses meta data like Attributes. I'm unsure. I don't really care whether the solution actually hides classes from each other or just makes them inaccessible, etc. A runtime or design time answer will suffice. Looking for something easy to implement otherwise it's not worth the effort ... Background: I'm working in an ASP.NET Website project and the team has decided not to use separate project assemblies for different software layers. Therefore I'm looking for a way to have, for example, a DataAccess/ folder of which I disallow its classes to access other Types in the ASP.NET Website project.

I found the problem that when I use account ( this account is also the fb app admin ) to login, everything is be work including login dialog and oauth dialog , but when I use another account ( General account ) the login dialog is work but OAuth Dialog is not work . I've tried another account ( General account ), it had the same situation, Only when I use the account which is also the fb app owner account would be work. Any Ideas ? Below is the code... • How do you get the email using facebook api?

  I'm using this code but I can't figure out how to get the email from the user. I know you must get special permission from the user but I don't know how. I can get the public data from the user but that's not what I even need. The only thing I need is the email. I guess it's something with this line: $me = $facebook->api('/me'); I have read the documentation but I still don't know how I can get the email. How do I get the email from the user loggin in on my website with the facebook api?
