• How can I Connect My Nokia C6-01 to any music player?

  I have a problem with Ubuntu 11.10. I can connect my Nokia C6-01 as a Massive Storage and Ubuntu will recognize it like a flash drive. But when I try to use Songbird, Rhythmbox, GMusic Browser and Amarok they arent even detecting it. I checked the add ons in everyone of them and they all have the mtp one. I want to be able to synchronize without problems my phone´s music but it´s so annoying to drag and drop my music and podcasts.

  I am trying to have a website that vertically scrolls about 5 paragraphs of text with a matching audio file that reads along with it. It doesn't need to be synchronized word for word such as highlighting each spoken word but an accurate start and stop time.   I have a laptop whose CD drive is not operational and is too old to boot from a flash stick. I have bought a new hard drive for it for which I have an enclosure. Is there a way to configure the disk as an external to my current ubuntu setup, copy some form of ubuntu on the hard drive, place the HD in the old laptop, and have ubuntu install ubuntu from there? Effectively what I am asking about is some sort of live cd that installs on itself (since the HD is writeable).

For example, the CPU temperature under Windows when watching flash videos is around 50-60 degrees, under Ubuntu it is between 65-75. In idle mode in Ubuntu it is usually around 50. I use an i3 core and an integrated graphics. Is there a way to lower the temperature? And I don't mean via Jupiter as this doesn't work for watching videos..

• Unsafe shutdown on power button press (Ubuntu Server 13.10)

  I have Ubuntu Server 13.10 set up on a machine, and whenever I press (not press and hold) the power button the machine doesn't safely shutdown (it instantly powers off), though it does flash the message "acpid: exiting" before turning off. If I instead run shutdown -h now, it goes through the usual cycle of stopping processes, unmounting filesystems, etc... Any ideas why this might be? I want the power button to safely shut down the system (unless I hold it down, of course).

  I use CyanogenMod and ClockWork Recovery on my Nexus 7. How can my existing full nandroid backup be used to restore my device after installing Ubuntu? The instructions assume "recovery" would mean re-flashing the vanilla image, at factory, data-wiped condition. It would be useful to provide a .zip that can be flash via Clockwork (or other) recovery and back to whatever Nandroid backup there is - much as any other ROM is provided/used.
