• Spring Dependency Injecting an annotated Aspect

  Using Spring I've had some issues with doing a dependency injection on an annotated Aspect class. CacheService is injected upon the Spring context's startup, but when the weaving takes place, it says that the cacheService is null. So I am forced to relook up the spring context manually and get the bean from there. Is there another way of going about it? • What's the easiest way to implement background downloading in Wicket?

  I've got a simple Wicket form that lets users select some data and then download a ZIP file (generated on the fly) containing what they asked for. Currently the form button's onSubmit() method looks something like this: public void onSubmit() { IResourceStream stream = /* assemble the data they asked for ... */ ; ResourceStreamRequestTarget target = new ResourceStreamRequestTarget(stream); target.setFileName("download.zip"); RequestCycle.get().setRequestTarget(target); } This works, but of course the request stops there and it's impossible to display any other feedback to the user. What I'd like to have is something like the typical "Your requested download [NAME] should begin automatically. If not, click this link." Ideally, still displaying the same page, so the user can immediately select some different data and download that as well. I imagine it's possible to do this using Wicket's Ajax classes, but I've managed to avoid having to use them so far, and it's not immediately obvious to me how. What's my quickest way out, here?

• WebKit gets blank when clicking on the menu toolbar

  Hi y'all. I've embebed a WebKit view into a modal dialog using Carbon and appereantly everything works fine. However there's a little problem. When I click on the menu toolbar the view gets completely blank getting visible only when I interact with it. Seems like the control stops reciving the 'paint window' event when I call MenuSelect function. All the events are managed by the parent window because of the nature of the application (videogame). Does anybody know what this behaviour is due to and how can I avoid it? Thanks for all.

• Android and PHP - Do I need to use sessions?

  I have created an Android App that communicates with a PHP web server. They both send JSON to each other. My App is almost finished, however there is one thing left to do: authentication. Since the user's username and password will be stored in Android SharedPreferences, is there any need to use PHP sessions, given that the user won't need to enter the username/password at every request? Since I can just send the username and password in the HTTP POST header for every request, and that I will be using SSL, is this sufficient? I guess I could add an extra field in the header called 'random' that just adds a random value, just to use as a salt so that the encrypted SSL payload will be different everytime. The reason why I don't want to use sessions is that my Android App would either have to handle cookies, or managed the storage of the session ID. If there are some serious cons to using my method above, then I'm more than happy to use sessions, however all advice is appreciated. Thanks

  I am trying to import data from a database that uses primary key / forign key relations to a core data database in Xcode. I have code that creates hundreds of child entities in a managed object context: Each child has an ID that corresponds to a parent. child1 parentID = 3 child2 parentID = 17 child3 parentID = 17 ... childn parentID = 5 I now need to relate each child to its parent. The parents are all stored in persistent memory. My first thought was to preform a fetch for each child to get its parent. However, I think this would be slow. Am I correct? How should I do this instead?

  I using the FileWatcher Class to locate changes on Files in a specific Folder. I managed to detect Changes on Files but not detailed Information. On the WatcherChangeTypes Enumeration Page http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/t6xf43e0%28v=VS.100%29.aspx they write the Change Type detects the changes include: changes to size, attributes, security settings, last write, and last access time. Is there a way to detect which kind of change happened? • Playing around with my Java project in Eclipse... what the crap did I just do?

  I don't even remember how, but somehow I managed to make all of my project's source files hidden in Eclipse's Package and Project Explorer panels. Go figure. 'Show Filtered Children (alt+click)' temporarily reveals the files, and only in Package Explorer can I double-click to reopen them from this view. They go back into hiding after I select another item, though. Plus, now I'm getting other annoyances, such as all of the folded non-hidden items altogether expanding when I click on an item, and the entire folder tree of my project now being shown in these panels (including my .svn subversion folders... which shouldn't be any of Eclipse's business, presently). Long story short, my Package/Project Explorers' just blew up on me, and I want to know how to fix this. Thanks in advance. P.S. What's a good guide I can use to learn my way around this silly contraption, anyway?

  Hi, My current target is to give users the chance to download CSV files from the admin site of my application. I successfully managed to create an additional column in the model's list view this way: def doc_link(self): return '<a href="files/%s">%s</a>' % (self.output, self.output) doc_link.allow_tags = True This shows the file name and creates the link, but sadly - because it's inside my 'searches' view - it has an URL: my_site/my_app/searches/files/13.csv. This is my problem, I would like to have my files stored in the admin media directory, like this: http://my_site/media/files/13.csv Does somebody know how to give url which points "outer" from the model's directory? Maybe somehow tell Django to use the ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX in the link? I'd really appreciate any help, thanks!

• Windows XP Rejecting Digital Signature

  I don't want to see unsigned driver warnings while installing a driver, so I'm trying to digitally sign a driver using signtool, inf2cat, and a Software Publishing Certificate. Vista x64 requires the drivers to be digitally signed or it flat out rejects them, but I have managed to get Vista x64 to accept the driver, so I know I'm doing the process correctly. However, I repeat the process for the Windows XP x86 driver. inf2cat and signtool both return successful results, signtool verifies the digital signatures, right-click - properties on the file verifies the digital signature too. However, when I go to load the driver in Windows XP, it still prompts me with an unsigned driver warning. Why does XP consider the file unsigned, but Vista does not?

  Hello, I'm trying to implement a facebook search in my system (auto suggest while typing). I've managed to code all the ajax stuff, but I'm not sure how to query the database. I've created a table called People which contains the fields: ID, FirstName, LastName, MiddleName, Email. I've also created a FTS-index on all those fields. I want to create a stored procedure that will get as a parameter the text inserted in the query box and returns the suggestions. For example, When I will write in the textbox the query "Joh Do" It will translate to the query: select * from People where contains(*, '"Joh*"') and contains(*, '"Do*"') Is there a way to do that in stored procedure? P.S I've tried to use the syntax select * from People where contains(*,'"Joh*" and "Do*"') but it didn't returned the expected results, probably because it needs to search the words on different fields. Is there a way to fix that? Thanks.

• em.createQuery keeps returning null

  I have this application which i use JSF 2.0 and EclipseLink, i have entities created for a database made in MySQL, Created these entities using netbeans 7.1.2, it gets created automaticly.   Hi I have a C++ console Exe which does some progamming. Now i wanted to write a C# GUI which does some of the programming that the C++ exe does. I was thinking of few approaches, Write the C# GUI with all programming in C++ done from scratch.(I do not want to do this for the amount of rework it entails) Build a C++ dll which does the programming and have it imported in GUI app.(Now here i have a concern. • NServiceBus - Message Sent to and Removed from Queue, but Never Fire IHandleMessages.Handle

  First let me state, today is my first day using NSesrviceBus - so I hope my question isn't too elementary. I have managed to set up Sender, Receiver, and Messages projects. When I debug the Sender, I see the messages show up in the configured queue. When I debug the Receiver, the messages are removed from the queue. However, my IHandleMessages Handle event never fires, and no Console output is displayed. I'm sure I've done something wrong (I think I may have mixed tutorials from different versions of NServiceBus) - any suggestions would be appreciated.

• Remote desktop connection to Raspberry Pi without specifying a port

  I have a Raspberry Pi running Raspbian Wheezy connected in "Site A", where the network is managed by a third party company and where all ports are closed the the Internet (for security reasons). So, there is no way for me to do any port forwarding to VNC, nor SSH or anything else. That means I just can't access it in any way other than locally, on-site. However, I need to connect to that device on the X Desktop session (graphical interface) to do some maintenance, and I am located in let's say "Site B", which is nearly 300 miles away from site A. I know you can do such tasks on Windows or x86 Linux computers with TeamViewer (we use it for our other hardware in the same location and it works like a charm), but since the Raspberry Pi is based on an ARM architecture, it isn't supported by TeamViewer yet. If anyone has ever achieved this, I would be glad to hear how to do it! Thanks!

• get data from gridview without querying database

I have managed to get the following code to work...so when I click on the "select" link in each row of the gridview, the data is transfered to other label/textbox on the webpage. So far so good, the thing is that everytime I click on select...it goes and checks on the database for the data and there is a delay of a few seconds... I was hoping that the data, since it is already visible on the gridrows, is simply "picked up" and used on other labels/textboxes...without requerying the database. Is this possible ? • Finding files with bash and copy to another location and reducing depth of folders

  I'm trying to recover a mates hard drive, there is no structure what so ever so music and images are everywhere but in named folders sometimes 5 folders deep, I've managed to write a one-liner that finds the files and copies them to a mounted drive but it preserves the file structure completely. What I'm after is a bit of code that searches the drive and copies to another location and copies just the parent folder with the mp3/jpg files within and not the complete path. The other issue I have is the music is /folder/folder/folder/Artist/1.mp3..2.mp3..10.mp3 etc etc so I have to preserve the folder 'Artist' to give him any hope of finding his tracks again. What I have working currently: find /media/HP/ -name *.mp3 -fprintf /media/HP/MUSIC/Script.sh 'mkdir -p "/media/HP/MUSIC/%h" \n cp "%h/%f" "/media/HP/MUSIC/%h/"\n' I then run the script.sh and it does all the copying. • UITableView - Loading data from internet

  Hey. I have seen many apps that load data to UITableViews from the internet, and they usually load smoothly. Now it's my turn to load in that kind of data. I am getting different data at the same time, separating categories with ~ and pieces of categories with #. This works great, and I have managed to separate the data in obj-c perfectly. Everything in my app works, it's just that the loading takes a lot of time. So, I guess the real question is, how can you load in data for a tableView in the background, showing a label/UIActivityView or something while it is loading? Thank you.
