• Google bot .net and AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport dilemma

  Hi, i have a .net mobile web site where i use sesion state and due to nature of mobile networks/phones (not all supports session cookies) i had to use <sessionState cookieless="AutoDetect"/> It works fine but because each new session redirected with "AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1" i have a feeling that google won't like this. Here is a small sample from my server logs supportForumReadTopic.aspx id=38 80 - 66.249.71.80 Mozilla/5.0+(compatible;+Googlebot/2.1;++http://www.google.com/bot.html) 302 supportForumReadTopic.aspx id=38&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 Mozilla/5.0+(compatible;+Googlebot/2.1;++http://www.google.com/bot.html) 200 As you see each new hit from google will get 302 to itself. I have a genericmozilla5.browser file where i define google bot as cookie supporting browser in order to get .net not to use cookieless urls but not sure how this 302 would effect me. Any one had smilar exprience? Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks

  Hi, Say you have a Client Buying Card object and a product object. When the client chooses the buy opition you create the object and then add a product. It should be transactional but it's not on the same entity group as the product and the card already been persisted, isn't it? • Intersection of line with cube and knowing the point of intersection.

  Hello everyone, description 1.lines are originating from origin(0,0,0). 2.lines are at some random angle to the Normal of Top face of teh cube. 3.if the lines are intersecting cube , calculate the intersection point. 4.mainly i wan to know how much distance ,line traveled inside the cube. • Is there a way to tell JVM to optimize my code before processing?

  I have a method, which takes much time to execute first time. But after several invocations, it takes about 30 times less time. So, to make my application respond to user interaction faster, I "warm-up" this method (5 times) with some sample data on initialization of application. But this increases app start-up time. I read, that JVM's can optimize and compile my java code to native, thus speeding things up. I wanted to know - maybe there is some way to explicitly tell JVM that I want this method to be compiled on startup of application?

  Hello Guys, I'm a total noob when it comes to iPhone development and have been tasked to create a database app that can download and upload sqlite data to and from a server via http using web services. So far I already have a form for retrieving and saving data to a SQLite database and now I need some information on how I can upload the SQLite data to a server. The SQLite database will only have one table with 3 columns and about 200 rows max. I hope somebody can point me to the right direction or lead me to some sample codes. Appreciate any help.

• .Net: Prevent an object from being paged out (VirtualLock equivalent)

  How would one go about keep an object in memory such that it won't be paged out by the OS in .Net? i.e. Something similar to VirtualLock, but operating on an object, such that if compacting occurs and the object is moved it still would not be paged out, etc.. (I suppose one could pin the object's, determine what pages it belongs to, and then VirtualLock those pages, but that seems non-desireable for many reasons.) If possible, could you point me to a reference or working sample? (C# ideally) Many thanks in advance!

  How do I get around Inconsistant accessibilty error in C # ? I need to pass a pointer to a node in a linked list to a method. When I do, I get a "Compiler Error CS0051" Example The following sample generates CS0051: Copy Code // CS0051.cs public class A { // Try making B public since F is public // B is implicitly private here class B { } public static void F(B b) // CS0051 { } public static void Main() { } } That is a simple example. The actual program is a bit more complicated. I am actually using a node in a linked list to pass to the method LinkedListNode node The method uses recursion because the node is mart of a huge linked list structure of linked lists that outputs an xml file. Either I have to find a way to use recursion without using methods or I need to find a way to pass pointers nodes or actual nodes.

• [java] Trying to use ResourceBundle to fetch messages from external file

  Essentially I would like to have a messages.properties files external to the jar files in my application. So that users can add languages and edit the files easily if my translations are wrong at the moment i use ResourceBundle.getBundle("package.MessageBundle"); But i would like to do something like this ResourceBundle.getBundle("lang/MessageBundle"); Where lang is a folder under my application installation directory. is this a good idea (if not, why not)? can someone point me in the right direction, or some sample code that does this thanks Alex

  Hi I know stackoverflow uses open authentication. I want to try and use this as well. I am using asp.net mvc 2.0 with C#. I found this http://www.dotnetopenauth.net/ and I am wondering if this is what was used for stackoverflow. Also any tutorials would be nice as well. • MOSS 2007 - Using Connectable WebPart - Consumer has TextBox

  I have 2 webparts which are connected, where the provider sends a string to the consumer. However it fails to work if I put any TextBox controls in the consumer webpart. (works fine if I use a Label or Literal control. The idea is that the consumer is to be composed of form controls like TextBoxes. e.g. the codeproject sample at http://www.codeproject.com/KB/sharepoint/ConnectingCustomWebParts.aspx Works fine... until you replace the consumer Label control with a TextBox. Any help gratefully received.

• Using LINQ to search a byte array for all subarrays that start/stop with certain byte

  I'm dealing with a COM port application and we have a defined variable-length packet structure that I'm talking to a micro-controller with. The packet has delimiters for the start and stop bytes. The trouble is that sometimes the read buffer can contain extraneous characters. It seems like I'll always get the whole packet, just some extra chatter before/after the actual data. So I have a buffer that I append data to whenever new data is received from the COM port. What is the best way to search this buffer for any possible occurrences of my packet? For example: Say my packet delimiter is 0xFF and I have an array as such { 0x00, 0xFF, 0x02, 0xDA, 0xFF, 0x55, 0xFF, 0x04 } How can I create a function/LINQ-statment that returns all subarrays that start and end with the delimiter (almost like a sliding-correlator with wildcards)? The sample would return the following 3 arrays: {0xFF, 0x02, 0xDA, 0xFF}, {0xFF, 0x55, 0xFF}, and {0xFF, 0x02, 0xDA, 0xFF, 0x55, 0xFF}

  I need some T-SQL that will show missing records. Here is some sample data: Emp 1 01/01/2010 02/01/2010 04/01/2010 06/01/2010 Emp 2 02/01/2010 04/01/2010 05/01/2010 etc... I need to know Emp 1 is missing 03/01/2010 05/01/2010 Emp 2 is missing 01/01/2010 03/01/2010 06/01/2010 The range to check will start with todays date and go back 6 months. In this example, lets say today's date is 06/12/2010 so the range is going to be 01/01/2010 thru 06/01/2010. The day is always going to be the 1st in the data. • Xcode 4.2 how include one project into another one?

  I keep searching, but cannot find a clear and simple explanation on how to include one XCode project, along with all of it's sub-classes into another project. I routinely see stuff like that in sample projects that I download off the web, but do not know how to do this myself. Within XCode, along with .h and .m files, and folders, there's a whole new project, starting with a blue xcode project icon, that is expandable to contain everything within the project. Please, can someone explain to me step by step what do I need to do to add one XCode project into another one? I've seen a ton of one liners like "header search paths", but that does not tell me much. UPDATE: After re-reading the documentation, I realized that the project to include must be dragged ONTO the BLUE project icon of the parent project. Regular sources can be dragged anywhere, but a project must be dragged onto a project. Thank you!

I keep seeing that yahoo/ google/ MS offer this data, yet I cant find HOWTO doc (or similar) on getting the data. Reuters is an option - ~$300/month puts it out of my range.   In my JFreeChart timeseries plots I find the legends lines to thin to see the colour accurately. Another post [ jfreechart - change sample of colors in legend ] suggested overriding a renderer method as follows: renderer = new XYLineAndShapeRenderer() { private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; public Shape lookupLegendShape(int series) { return new Rectangle(15, 15); } }; this approach works fine until you do what I did renderer.setSeriesShapesVisible(i, false); Once I did that the legend reverts back to a line.
