  Hello, Visual Studio C++ 2008 I have downloaded a sample project. I converted the project from VS 7 to VS 9. However, when I compile I get this error: c1xx : fatal error C1083: Cannot open source file: 'WIN32': No such file or directory Under project properties preprocessor definitions.   Is there a way to tell to VS2005 to get compiler error when using "some defined" method? It probably sounds strange, but I do not want to compile when using Decimal.Round(). Reason: CF does not round by "awayfromzero", so I created a method to do this job. But sometimes I (and team) forget that is not to use Decimal.Round. So I'd like to get a compiler error when using it.

  I am playing with DxScene and VxScene: http://www.ksdev.com/dxscene/index.html It looks very nice and powerful: 3d accelerated vector graphics, cross plaform, nice effects, many 2d GUI controls (vector based), good scaling, transparency, rotating (x, y, z), 3d models, etc. Even with many effects, the CPU stays very low (0%)! http://www.ksdev.com/dxscene/snapshot/screen0.jpeg But can it be seen as a good WPF alternative for Delphi? And does anyone use it instead of normal Delphi VCL?

• How to start/stop CrossSlide (jQuery)

  I found that CrossSlide causes video playback on the same page to stutter quite badly. My thought was to have the cross slide effect on the same page stop or pause during video play back, annd then start again when video stops. Id doesn't look like there is any start stop function included. Does any one know how I might be able to accomplish this? Thanks.

I have installed delphi 2007 and delphi 2009 and I don't know if the cause can come from this. • Enthought Python, Sage, or others (in Unix clusters)

  I am currently get access to a cluster of Unix machines, but they don't have the software I need (numpy, scipy, matplotlib, etc), and I have to install them by myself (I don't have the root permission, either, so commands like apt-get or yast doesn't work). In the worst case, I have to compile them all from source. Is there any better way to do so? I hear something about Enthought Python and Sage, but not sure what is the best way to do so. Any suggestion?

I have a time series (date and value) in 'zoo' format, that I want to annotate with a cross when an event occurs. The events are irregular and in a csv format (just the dates, sometimes repeated).   What is the most efficient way to clone a JavaScript object? I've seen: obj = eval(uneval(o)); but that's not cross platform (FF only). I've done (in Mootools 1.2) things like this: obj = JSON.decode(JSON.encode(o)); but question the efficiency. I've also seen recursive copying function, etc. I'm pretty surprised that out-of-the-box JavaScript doesn't have a method for doing this.

  I am currently using Wowza Media server for recording videos from webcam using Flash. However servers like Wowza, Red5 & Flash Media Server seem to be overkill for merely this task.   So I've been looking at code from various parts of the Android git, but when I try to load and compile many of them (camera, media player, etc) they reference classes and parts of the SDK that just aren't available even with my SDK version updated to 2.2. (for example the bitmap config option inNativeAlloc) Is there a reason that these are not in the SDK given out to developers?
