  • Choose identity from ssh-agent by file name

    Problem: I have some 20-30 ssh-agent identities. Most servers refuse authentication with Too many failed authentications, as SSH usually won't let me try 20 different keys to log in. At the moment, I am specifying the identity file for every host manually, using the IdentityFile and the IdentitiesOnly directive, so that SSH will only try one key file, which works. Unfortunately, this stops working as soon as the original keys aren't available anymore. ssh-add -l shows me the correct paths for every key file, and they match with the paths in .ssh/config, but it doesn't work. Apparently, SSH selects the indentity by public key signature and not by file name, which means that the original files have to be available so that SSH can extract the public key. There are two problems with this: it stops working as soon as I unplug the flash drive holding the keys it renders agent forwarding useless as the key files aren't available on the remote host Of course, I could extract the public keys from my identity files and store them on my computer, and on every remote computer I usually log into. This doesn't looks like a desirable solution, though. What I need is a possibility to select an identity from ssh-agent by file name, so that I can easily select the right key using .ssh/config or by passing -i /path/to/original/key, even on a remote host I SSH'd into. It would be even better if I could "nickname" the keys so that I don't even have to specify the full path.

I understand why, but I don't know how to fix it. I want the program to repeat itself each time even after the case statements. Would I just say: main(argc, argv); before every break statement?

I'm making a little application for a friend that will help him take notes, and I want my application to become visible when he types in "note" from anywhere on the machine.     I've got my encryption function working properly however I cannot figure out how to get the decrypt function to give proper output.     I use everywhere NSLocalizedString(@"Text in deutsch",@"das Textfeld Text in deutsch") I have two Localizable.strings files. One for german and one for english. What I realized now is. If you have a german iPhone, you get the german text, if you have your iPhone set to english you get the english text. But if you have lets say french, then you would get the german text, too because I use german as the keys, right ? Is there a way to set english as fallback language instead of the german one used everywhere in my code ? (I have so many occurences of NSLocalizedString that it would be a pain to change the keys now everywhere (in code, in Localized.string.en and in Localized.string.de))

    I'm having a hard time trying to get my stored procedure works with NHibernate. The data returned from the SP does not correspond to any database table. And later on in CheckNamedQueries function, it is not able to find the persistor for SomeClass. I've checked all the obvious things (e.g. make hbm as an embedded resource) and my code isn't too much different from other samples I found on the web, but somehow I just can't get it working. Any idea how I can resolve this issue?

    I am having trouble getting the right hibernate annotations to use on a value typed Map with an enumerated class as a key. Here is a simplified (and extremely contrived) example. public class Thing { public String id; public Letter startLetter; public Map<Letter,Double> letterCounts = new HashMap<Letter, Double>(); } public enum Letter { A, B, C, D } Here are my current annotations on Thing @Entity public class Thing { @Id public String id; @Enumerated(EnumType.STRING) public Letter startLetter; @CollectionOfElements @JoinTable(name = "Thing_letterFrequencies", joinColumns = @JoinColumn(name = "thingId")) @MapKey(columns = @Column(name = "letter", nullable = false)) @Column(name = "count") public Map<Letter,Double> letterCounts = new HashMap<Letter, Double>(); } Hibernate generates the following DDL to create the tables for my MySql database create table Thing (id varchar(255) not null, startLetter varchar(255), primary key (id)) type=InnoDB; create table Thing_letterFrequencies (thingId varchar(255) not null, count double precision, letter tinyblob not null, primary key (thingId, letter)) type=InnoDB; Notice that hibernate tries to define letter (my map key) as a tinyblob, however it defines startLetter as a varchar(255) even though both are of the enumerated type Letter. When I try to create the tables I see the following error BLOB/TEXT column 'letter' used in key specification without a key length I googled this error and it appears that MySql has issues when you try to make a tinyblob column part of a primary key, which is what hibernate needs to do with the Thing_letterFrequencies table. So I would rather have letter mapped to a varchar(255) the way startLetter is. Unfortunately, I've been fussing with the MapKey annotation for a while now and haven't been able to make this work. I've also tried @MapKeyManyToMany(targetEntity=Product.class) without success. Can anyone tell me what are the correct annotations for my letterCounts map so that hibernate will treat the letterCounts map key the same way it does startLetter?

If I'm not crazy, you'll see that it occasionally appends 'false' even though the d key was never released. (I've tried this in FF and Chrome in Linux and Vista). Anybody happen to know why, or have a workaround?

    I'm using Ubuntu 9.10, and need to add some apt repositories. Unfortunately, I get messages like this when running sudo apt-get update: W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net karmic Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 5A9BF3BB4E5E17B5 W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net karmic Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 1DABDBB4CEC06767 So, I need to install the keys for these repositories. Under 9.10 we now have the option to do this: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nvidia-vdpau/ppa See this Ubuntu help article for details. This is great, except that I'm running this on a workstation behind a firewall which blocks outbound connections to pretty much all ports except those required by secretaries running Windows and IE. The port in question here is the hkp service, port 11371. There appear to be ways to manually download keys and install them on apt's keyring. There may even be a way to use add-apt-repository or wget or something to download a key from an alternative server making it available on port 80. However, I haven't yet found a concise set of steps for doing so. What I'm looking for is: How to find a public key for an apt-package (recommendations for resources which have these, and/or tips for searching. Searching for the key hash doesn't seem all that effective so far.) How to retrieve a key (can it be done automatically using gpg or add-apt-repository?)     I have a small Foundation application that checks a website and plays a sound if it sees a certain value. This application successfully plays a sound when I run it as my user from the Terminal. The sound files are located in the same directory as the binary, and I use the following code: NSSound *soundToPlay = [[NSSound alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:@"sound.wav" byReference:NO]; [soundToPlay setDelegate:stopper]; [soundToPlay play]; while (g_keepRunning) { [[NSRunLoop currentRunLoop] runUntilDate:[NSDate dateWithTimeIntervalSinceNow:1.0]]; } [soundToPlay setCurrentTime:0.0]; Is there any way to get my LaunchDaemon application to play sound? This machine gets run by different people, and sometimes has no one logged in, which is why I have to configure it as a LaunchDaemon.

    We're using FluentNHibernate and we have run into a problem where our object model requires data from two tables like so: public class MyModel { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual string Name { get; set; } public virtual int FooId { get; set; } public virtual string FooName { get; set; } } Where there is a MyModel table that has Id, Name, and FooId as a foreign key into the Foo table. The Foo tables contains Id and FooName. This problem is very similar to another post here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1896645/nhibernate-join-tables-and-get-single-column-from-other-table but I am trying to figure out how to do it with FluentNHibernate. I can make the Id, Name, and FooId very easily..but mapping FooName I am having trouble with. This is my class map: public class MyModelClassMap : ClassMap<MyModel> { public MyModelClassMap() { this.Id(a => a.Id).Column("AccountId").GeneratedBy.Identity(); this.Map(a => a.Name); this.Map(a => a.FooId); // my attempt to map FooName but it doesn't work this.Join("Foo", join => join.KeyColumn("FooId").Map(a => a.FooName)); } } with that mapping I get this error: The element 'class' in namespace 'urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2' has invalid child element 'join' in namespace 'urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2'. List of possible elements expected: 'joined-subclass, loader, sql-insert, sql-update, sql-delete, filter, resultset, query, sql-query' in namespace 'urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2'. any ideas?

    I've run into the same problem as found in this question. However, I have a follow-up question. I seem to be in the same situation as the original asker: I have a plist with a hierarchy of dictionaries that define a configuration screen. These are not mutable and will stay the same throughout the application. Since the original discussion seems to focus on problems arising from mutating the dictionary, I must ask for comfirmation: is the order of a dictionary guaranteed the same as they are in the plist, i.e. as it is read (with initWithContentsOfFile)? Can I use allKeys on it in this case to get a correct-order array of keys if the dictionary never changes?

  • Android ListView clears when hard BACK key is pressed.

    In my android app I have a Tabhost with a ListView as one of the tabs. By clicking on an item in the ListView (an address) I start an Intent to Google Maps for directions and the choice dialog pops up for google maps, web browser etc. Problem is if I press the hard back button then the launch dialog goes away but also the ListView is cleared. Any idea why?
