Fluent NHibernate - Set reference key columns to null

Hi, I have a table of Appointments and a table of AppointmentOutcomes. On my Appointments table I have an OutcomeID field which has a foreign key to AppointmentOutcomes. My Fluent NHibernate mappings look as follows; Table("Appointments"); Not.LazyLoad(); Id(c => c.ID).GeneratedBy.Assigned(); Map(c => c.Subject); Map(c => c.StartTime); References(c => c.Outcome, "OutcomeID"); Table("AppointmentOutcomes"); Not.LazyLoad(); Id(c => c.ID).GeneratedBy.Assigned(); Map(c => c.Description); Using NHibernate, if I delete an AppointmentOutcome an exception is thrown because the foreign key is invalid. What I would like to happen is that deleting an AppointmentOutcome would automatically set the OutcomeID of any Appointments that reference the AppointmentOutcome to NULL. Is this possible using Fluent NHibernate?

Best way to do one-to-many "JOIN" in CouchDB

There are CouchDB documents that are list elements: { "type" : "el", "id" : "1", "content" : "first" } { "type" : "el", "id" : "2", "content" : "second" } { "type" : "el", "id" : "3", "content" : "third" } There is one document that defines the list: { "type" : "list", "elements" : ["2","1"] , "id" : "abc123" } As you can see the third element was deleted, it is no longer part of the list. So it must not be part of the result. Now I want a view that returns the content elements including the right order. The result could be: { "content" : ["second", "first"] } In this case the order of the elements is already as it should be. Another possible result: { "content" : [{"content" : "first", "order" : 2},{"content" : "second", "order" : 1}] } I started writing the map function: map = function (doc) { if (doc.type === 'el') { emit(doc.id, {"content" : doc.content}); //emit the id and the content exit; } if (doc.type === 'list') { for ( var i=0, l=doc.elements.length; i<l; ++i ){ emit(doc.elements[i], { "order" : i }); //emit the id and the order } } } This is as far as I can get. Can you correct my mistakes and write a reduce function? Remember that the third document must not be part of the result. Of course you can write a different map function also. But the structure of the documents (one definig element document and an entry document for each entry) cannot be changed.

Spring MVC: Where to place validation and how to validation entity references.

Let's say I have the following command bean for creating a user: public class CreateUserCommand { private String userName; private String email; private Integer occupationId; pirvate Integer countryId; } occupationId and countryId are drop down selected values on the form. They map to an entity in the database (Occupation, Country). This command object is going to be fed to a service facade like so: userServiceFacade.createUser(CreateUserCommand command); This facade will construct a user entity to be sent to the actual service. So I suppose that in the facade layer I will have to make several dao calls to map all the lookup properties of the User entity. Based on this what is the best strategy to validate that occupationId and countryId map to real entities? Where is the best place to perform this validation? There is the spring validator but I am not sure this is the best place for this, for one I am wary of this method as validation is tied to the web tier, but also that means I would need to make the dao calls in the validator for validation but I would need to call the dao's in the facade layer again when the command - entity translation occurs. Is there anything I can do better? Thanks.

"Find all tiles connected to this one" project

Remember MS Paint? The bucket tool? If you used it and clicked on a pixel, all pixels connected to this pixel that are the same are affected. The theory is, I suppose, to check if there is any pixel adjacent to the selected one. If such pixel is the same type as the selected one, check for more adjacent pixels in this one, and so on. I want to implement something similar in VB.NET. Basically I have a 2D array map which represents the map. Let's assume there are only two types of tile: 0 and 1. Now, I got pretty much everything ready: I got my 2d map and I can tell which tile is clicked and tell what array indexes are the ones that represent such tile. Now for the "painting" process. Whenever I think about it, I can't figure a convenient way to execute such iteration. Can someone help me choosing a correct design/way/tip to achieve this?

I'm developing a webpage and I would just like to make something more user friendly. I have a functional Google Maps api v3 and an address search bar. Currently, I have to use the mouse to select search to initialize the geocoding function. How can I make the map return a placemark by hitting the enter button on my keyboard? I just want to make it as user-friendly as possible. auto_complete plugin error: Couldn't find Question with ID=auto_complete_for_...

I have successfully set up this plugin before so I am curious as to what I am doing wrong here. I have built the ability for users to add tags to questions. I am not using tagging plugin here but that shouldn't matter for this. With respect to the auto complete, I am trying to have the form located in the /views/questions/show.html.erb file access the Tags table and display entries in the tags.tags_name column. The plugin set up is fairly simple as you add the following line to your controller: auto_complete_for :tag, :tag_name and the following line in your routes.rb file: map.resources :tags, :collection => {:auto_complete_for_tag_tag_name => :get } I have added the controller line to both my tags and questions controller and also mapped resources for both tags and questions in my routes.rb file: map.resources :tags, :collection => {:auto_complete_for_tag_tag_name => :get } map.resources :questions, :collection => {:auto_complete_for_tag_tag_name => :get } I have played around with removing either or of the above but can't seem to fix it. Saving information in the IO System

Hi Kernel Gurus, I need to write a kernel module that simulate a "multicaster" Using the /proc file system. Basically it need to support the following scenarios: 1) allow one write access to the /proc file and many read accesses to the /proc file. 2) The module should have a buffer of the contents last successful write. Each write should be matched by a read from all reader. Consider scenario 2, a writer wrote something and there are two readers (A and B), A read the content of the buffer, and then A tried to read again, in this case it should go into a wait_queue and wait for the next message, it should not get the same buffer again. I need to keep a map of all the pid's that already read the current buffer, and in case they try to read again and the buffer was not changed, they should be blocked until there is a new buffer. I'm trying to figure it there is a way i can save that info without a map. I heard there are some redundant fields inside the I/O system the I can use to flag a process if it already read the current buffer. Can someone give me a tip where should i look for that field ? how can i save info on the current process without keeping a "map" of pid's and buffers ? Thanks!

More than one unique key for HashMap problem (Java)

This question is a continuation of this thread: In short: To solve my problem, I want to use Map<Set<String>, String>. However, after I sort my data entries in Excel, remove the unnecessary parameters, and the following came out: flow content ==> content content flow content ==> content depth distance flow content ==> content depth within flow content ==> content depth within distance flow content ==> content within flow content ==> content within distance I have more than one unique key for the hashmap if that is the case. How do I go around this... anyone have any idea? I was thinking of maybe Map<Set <String>, List <String>> so that I can do something like: Set <flow content>, List <'content content','content depth distance','content depth within ', ..., 'content within distance'> But because I am parsing the entries line by line I can't figure out the way how to store values of the same repeated keys (flow content) into the same list and add it to the map. Anyone have a rough logic on how can this be done in Java? Thanks in advance.

Load image blurred Android

I'm trying to create a map for a game through an image, where each black pixel is equivalent to a wall, and yellow to flowers(1) and green grass(0) so far i had this image (50x50): http://i.imgur.com/Ydj9Cp2.png the problem here seems to be that, when i read the image on my code, it get's scaled up to 100x100, even tough i have it on the raw folder. I can't let it scale up or down because that will put noise and blur on the image and then the map won't be readable. here i have my code: (...) How can I bind the second argument in a function but not the first (in an elegant way)?

Is there a way in Haskell to bind the second argument but not the first of a function without using lambda functions or defining another "local" function? Example. I have a binary function like: sub :: Int -> Int -> Int sub x y = x - y Now if I want to bind the first argument, I can do so easily using (sub someExpression): mapSubFrom5 x = map (sub 5) x *Main> mapSubFrom5 [1,2,3,4,5] [4,3,2,1,0] That works fine if I want to bind the first n arguments without "gap". If I want to bind the second argument but not the first, the two options I am aware of are more verbose: Either via another, local, function: mapSub5 x = map sub5 x where sub5 x = sub x 5 *Main> mapSub5 [1,2,3,4,5] [-4,-3,-2,-1,0] Or using lambda: mapSub5 x = map (\x -> sub x 5) x While both are working fine, I like the elegance of "sub 5" and wonder if there is a similarly elegant way to bind the n-th (n 1) argument of a function?

seam page parameters not working as expected.

Hi, I am learning seam and following a very famous book Seam In Action by Dan Allen. This is an example from this book. Seam 2.2.0.GA JBoss 5.1.0.GA Here the page parameter roundId is always null even after a round is serialized, it is never passed. Neither to Roud.xhtml nor to RoundEdit.xhtml after clicking save on RoundEdit.xhtml. The entity always stays unmanaged. Can't change text color in Microsoft Word 2010

I have Microsoft Office 2010 32-bit running on Windows 7 32-bit. When text is highlighted and a color is selected from the mini-toolbar or the ribbon, the text does not change color. If I change the color for multiple words, and select a different color for each word, the toolbar and ribbon will reflect each of the different colors that I chose, however it is not displayed in the document. So it appears that Word is aware of the text color and not as if it is simply not applying the change. What may be causing this inability to view text colors and how might I fix it? My only troubleshooting attempt so far has been to perform a repair installation of Office. EDIT 1 I created a document, typed a word, selected it and changed the color. I then saved the document as HTML. The text did not change color. Oddly, I had some strange issues while the macro was recorded. I could not select text with my cursor. I had to select the text with control a and then apply the color change. I then couldn't deselect the selected text. Nonetheless, the text showed that it had a different color in the toolbar, but the color did not display in the document. Here's the macro: Sub Change_Text_Color() ' ' Change_Text_Color Macro ' ' Selection.TypeText Text:="Test Text" Selection.WholeStory Selection.WholeStory End Sub EDIT 3 I opened WordPad and created some text and was able to successfully change the color. If I copy and paste the colored text into a Word 2010 document, the color is lost. However, if you place the I-beam in the text and then look at the color selection drop-down menu on the ribbon or mini-toolbar, you can see that the proper color that the text should be in is highlighted. Edit 4 I uninstalled the entire Office 2010 Suite, rebooted and then reinstalled the suite. No change in behavior. Edit 5 Text cannot be colored in Excel either.

Group Policy drive maps fail with Error Code: 0x80070043

I'm running a Server 2008 R2 domain with all Windows 7 x64 bit client machines. All drives are mapped using Group Policy. Which were previously on a NAS We just built a new, huge, fast server. So I'm in the process of migrating all the network drives from the NAS to the new fileserver(fs). The old drive maps were mapped using group policy so I just went in and updated to the new server and selected the "Replace" option. But the drives just plain do not map. I do an RSOP on my machine and the error for the drive map is: Result: Failure (Error Code: 0x80070043) The other odd thing, though it may or may not have anything to do with it, is that the winning GPO shown is shown with its SID instead of its name. The SID is correct though. Accessing the shares through Explorer works fine, and mapping them manually works fine. Any ideas? Thanks Chris

Windows Server 2008 R2 Accessing NFS share without AD or NIS

I'm trying to mount an NFS share on our NetApp SAN on Windows 2008 R2. Using XP I have no problem mounting this share without a username/NIS/pswd file etc, but the new functionality in 2008 seems to insist on either using AD or an NIS server (to "streamline" Services for NFS MS removed user account mapping) see Technet. When I go to map the share using "map network drive" no combination of "root", no username, no password, my username works. Using the command line mount -o anon \\172... :n or mount -o -u:root \\172... :n either gives me a network error 53 or 67 error Is it possible with 2008 to mount an NFS share without AD or NIS? If so what am I doing wrong? (Security is taken care off by IP address permissions and VLANs)

Cisco ASA 5505 - L2TP over IPsec

I have followed this document on cisco site to set up the L2TP over IPsec connection. When I try to establish a VPN to ASA 5505 from my Windows XP, after I click on "connect" button, the "Connecting ...." dialog box appears and after a while I get this error message: Error 800: Unable to establish VPN connection. The VPN server may be unreachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly for this connection. ASA version 7.2(4) ASDM version 5.2(4) Windows XP SP3 Windows XP and ASA 5505 are on the same LAN for test purposes. Edit 1: There are two VLANs defined on the cisco device (the standard setup on cisco ASA5505). - port 0 is on VLAN2, outside; - and ports 1 to 7 on VLAN1, inside. I run a cable from my linksys home router (10.50.10.1) to the cisco ASA5505 router on port 0 (outside). Port 0 have IP 192.168.1.1 used internally by cisco and I have also assigned the external IP 10.50.10.206 to port 0 (outside). I run a cable from Windows XP to Cisco router on port 1 (inside). Port 1 is assigned an IP from Cisco router 192.168.1.2. The Windows XP is also connected to my linksys home router via wireless (10.50.10.141). Hi all, I am gathering performance data via WMI and would like to avoid having to use an account in the Administrators group for this purpose. The target machine is running Windows Server 2003 with the latest SP/updates. I've done what I believe to be the appropriate configuration to allow our user access to WMI (similar to what is described here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa393266.aspx). Here are the specific steps that were followed: Open Administrative Tools - Computer Management: Under Computer Management (Local) Expand Services and Applications, right click WMI Control and select properties. In the Security tab, expand Root, highlight CIMV2, click Security (near bottom of window); add Performance Monitor Users and enable the options : Enable Account and Remote Enable. Open Administrative Tools - Component Services: Under Console Root go to Component Services- Computers - Right click My Computer and select properties, select the COM security tab, in “Access Permissions” click "Edit Default" select(or add then select) “Performance Monitor Users” group and allow local access and remote access and click ok. In “Launch and Activation Permissions” click “Edit Default” select(or add then select) “Performance Monitor Users” group and allow Local and Remote Launch and Activation Permissions. Wrong keymap in games under OSX

While it's somewhat related to gaming, I believe this kind of question definitely belongs here. On most games, I have a very weird problem related to keymap: they apparently load a wrong map, i.e. a legacy one that has not been used since 68k AFAIK, that is a QZERTY, with M to the right of the L. I can't understand why this happens, I guess they use a bugged library for getting keyboard input, I'm not sure. While I can actually bind the keys using this map, sometimes it prevents me from binding some, such as the numbers. A very odd workaround happens with Urban Terror: if I enable and disable fullscreen, it reverts to the correct keymap (didn't try this on other games, such as Aquaria). It may or may not be useful to know that I use a custom keymap but even if I select the standard keymap before starting the game the problem happens anyway.

Adobe Illustrator can't open SVG file

I have a generated SVG file which for some reason won't open in Adobe Illustrator when I serve the file content from my ASP.net application, but if I were to write this generated file directly to the file system from my ASP.net application, the file opens fine! I've put a zip of the two files here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1761973/Files.zip The zip has two files: Map.svg Test.svg Map.svg doesn't open in Illustrator, it shows up a Text Import Options dialog, and upon clicking OK, will show the XML content of the file. Test.svg opens fine in Illustrator. Doing a comparison of the two files yields NO DIFFERENCES whatsoever! There must be something different in these two files (caused by downloading the generated SVG from the web browser), but I have no idea what?

.htaccess Permission denied. Unable to check htaccess file

I have a strange problem when adding a sub-domain to our virtual server. I have done similar sub-domains before and they have worked fine. When I try to access the sub-domain I get an 403 Forbidden error. I checked the error logs and have the following error: pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable I've searched Google and could only find solutions regarding file and folder permissions, that I have checked and the solution isn't solved. I also saw problems with Frontpage Extensions, but that's not installed on the server. Edit Forgot to say that there isn't a .htaccess file in the directory of the sub-domain Edit #2 Still not been able to find a solution on this. Only things I have been able to find out is: It doesn't seem to be a problem with any .htaccess files (I've tried creating blank ones, with correct user privileges). It doesn't seem to be a problem with any folder permissions as they are all set correct. There isn't a problem with the way the sub-domain has been set up, as I've tried pointing the DocumentRoot to another folder and it worked fine. I've also done sub-domains fine before with no problem. Edit #3 Find out more information. I don't think it can be a file permission problem now, because if I access it by going to the server ip and then the directory where the site is hosted it all works fine (minus the stylesheets & images, which is just down to how they are linked)
