  • Gigabyte Onboard graphics card heating up and then crashing

    5 minutes after I turn on my PC the onboard graphics card is usually over 80° celsius and then crashes (random colors on screen, only way to get out is to just plug out the pc). I haven't installed any new drivers or added/changed hardware recently Everything went fine until yesterday What should I do next? Do I have to buy a new mainboard right now? There is no fan on the onboard graphics card, only a heatsink.

  • Mounting a share with spaces in FreeBSD fstab

    I'm trying to mount a smb network share in fstab on FreeBSD, which works fine for a share without spaces, but fails if a space is in the name. I have replaced the space with \040 which is what everything on google has said, but that didn't help. Share name I'm trying to mount is "Data Backups". Share name as written in fstab that doesn't work: //USERNAME@COMPUTER/Data\040Backups Any suggestions?

  • Driver for Ensoniq AudioPCI ES1370 on Windows 7

    KVM is a virtualisation package for running operating systems such as Windows on Linux. Windows XP works fine in this, but Windows 7 fails to recognise the sound card. According to the documentation, the soundcard is a Ensoniq AudioPCI ES1370. Does anyone know where I can find a driver for this, or a compatible driver that will run under 7. I've not tried this in Vista as yet.

    Hello, using the stsadm command I have been able to export a MOSS website and restore it on a different server which works fine. I tried the same for the shared services, it gave no errors, but it does not have all the import connections when I check around. Is there a better way to export and restore shared services, or a way to synch the import connections and user list?

  • Windows 7 XP mode missing driver virtual pc integration device

    I have XP Mode installed fine, but the shipped Windows XP installation is too heavy. I tried to install a light XP using my ASUS Eee PC. After installation, I have to install a few missing drivers and everything worked OK except I can't copy and paste between host and guest operating system. I checked Device Manager and found the Virtual PC Integration Device is not installed correctly. I can't find any driver for that. How can I fix this problem?

    Hello all. Anyone having issues with AD group policy script errors when enabling VMware Fusion's "Sharing" feature? I've run into this problem in version 2.0 and 3.0. I have a logon script applied on an AD OU. It works fine on all Windows client workstations and in VMware Fusion only when the "Sharing" feature is NOT enabled. Any ideas would be much appreciated.   • MDT 2012 Image Capture

    I am using MDT 2012 Update 1. Attempting to Deploy 2012 DC to a VM, run windows updates, and then sysprep/capture that image. This is the same task sequence process I have used for Windows 7 / 2008 R2 and it works fine. However, for 2012 DC it deploys the image, starts running/installing updates and then on reboot it goes to a "Choose an option" screen if I choose "Exit and continue to Windows Server 2012" it reboots and goes back to same screen. Any ideas?

  • Mixed-mode C++/CLI crashing: heap corruption in atexit (static destructor registration)

    I am working on deploying a program and the codebase is a mixture of C++/CLI and C#. The C++/CLI comes in all flavors: native, mixed (/clr), and safe (/clr:safe). In my development environment I create a DLL of all the C++/CLI code and reference that from the C# code (EXE). This method works flawlessly. For my releases that I want to release a single executable (simply stating that "why not just have a DLL and EXE separate?" is not acceptable). So far I have succeeded in compiling the EXE with all the different sources. However, when I run it I get the "XXXX has stopped working" dialog with options to Check online, Close and Debug. If I tell Visual Studio to continue, the program starts up fine and seems to work without incident, probably since a debugger is now attached. What do you make of this? How do I avoid this heap corruption? The program seems to work fine except for this. It seems that the CRT atexit function is responsible, being inadvertently required due to the static initializer. I have added a mixed C++/CLI file that has a C++ main or WinMain: using namespace System; [STAThread] // required if using an STA COM objects (such as drag-n-drop or file dialogs) int main() { // or "int __stdcall WinMain(void*, void*, wchar_t**, int)" for GUI applications array<String^> ^args_orig = Environment::GetCommandLineArgs(); int l = args_orig->Length - 1; // required to remove first argument (program name) array<String^> ^args = gcnew array<String^>(l); if (l > 0) Array::Copy(args_orig, 1, args, 0, l); return XXX::CUI::Program::Main(args); // return XXX::GUI::Program::Main(args); } After doing this, the program now gets a little further, but still has issues (which will be addressed elsewhere): When the program is solely in C# it works fine, along with whenever it is just calling C++/CLI methods, getting C++/CLI properties, and creating managed C++/CLI objects Events added by C# into the C++/CLI code never fire (even though they should) One other weird error is that an exception happens is a InvalidCastException saying can't cast from X to X (where X is the same as X...) However since the heap corruption is fixed (by getting the CRT initialized) the question is done.

  • Apple Airport Extreme and PS3/PSP remote play

    I have not been able to get remote play over internet working through my AEBS. I have fiddled around with countless settings and also tried to telnet into the router, to no avail. The setup works fine inside the netowrk (I can remotely turn on my PS3 wirelessly using my PSP). However, outside the home network I cannot get it to work. Any help would be most appreciated.

    I had set up a newly purchased HP F4488 using HPLIP, I installed it on my Fedora 10 desktop and it worked fine for the past 2 days. Suddenly, it is failing to print. The scanner works and the photocopier works. When a print job is initialized there is an error and the printer gets disabled. What is the problem? Is there anything that I should fix additionally to make it work?

    i have a video that i cannot render in Graph Edit: GSpot cannot render: and AVISynth's DirectShowSource cannot open: And yet Windows Media Player (12) can play it fine. How can i figure out the filters that Windows Media Player is using, when DirectShow itself cannot render the file? i tried running GraphEdit as an adminstrator and connecting to a remote graph, but Windows Media Player does not register its graph in the running objects table: Related question: How can i access a file in AviSynth that Windows Media Player can play, but DirectShow cannot?

    i have a ubuntu server with apache setup, the main domain on the server is a subdomain app.example.com, which is working fine, now if i setup john.app.example.com, then that also is displaying the web page of app.example.com, the DocumentRoot for john.app.example.com is different, still it shows the web page of app.example.com. how can i resolve this, so john.app.example.com displays the pages that are there in its DocumentRoot.

  • Controlling the fontsize across multiple browsers

    Hello, I've got 3 browsers on my WinXPpro: Firefox 3.5.2, Opera 10 and IE 7. Alle pages are displayed fine in FF. Opera and IE seem to have a very similar issue: Both upsize fonts eventhough zoom mode in both browsers is set to 100%. I tend to believe that this might be a system-wide setting, somewhere. Does anyone know this problem? Thanks in advance.

  • Passive ftp on Server 2008

    I have a new Windows 2008 server with IIS7. When I connect to the ftp in active mode, it works fine. In passive mode, it connects, but then times out trying to get the directory listing. I tried disabling both firewalls, but it didn't help. I've tried this with difference client machines and different ftp client software, with no change. Any ideas?

  • Windows service fails to start with custom user until started once with local user

    All of a sudden my Windows service application after installation does not start. (Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do.) The service uses a custom user. If I change the logon setting to use the local system account, the service starts fine. Then when I go back and change the login setting to use this custom account (local user - custom user under user group), the service will start. Why doesn't it work in the first place?

On Ubuntu Linux, this works perfectly fine, I don't need to install any drivers; however, on the Windows equivalent - Windows XP in my case, I don't seem to have any drivers for it.
