• Outpost Firewall asks every time one specific application tries to access to network

  One of installed applications on my PC tries to send UDP packed. Outpost warns me about this. I say that Outpost should allow all activity for this application. But next time application wants to send UDP packed Outpost asks me again and again the same question. There is no problems with other applications but with this only. Is it possible to resolve such behavior or is it known bug? Thanks! I have installed Outpost Firewall Pro 2009 Version 6.5.3 (2518.381.0686)

• Rails and MongoDB with MongoMapper

  I'm new to Rails development and I'm starting with MongoDB also. I have been following this Railscast tutorial about complex forms with Rails but I'm using MongoDB as my database.   I have seen many questions already and all are about background page to content script. Summary My extension has an options page, and a content script. The content script handles the storage functionality (chrome.storage manipulation). Whenever, a user changes a setting in the options page, I want to send a message to the content script to store the new data. • Is it possible to open Adobe Illustrator files from last close?

  Say you have three files open in Adobe Illustrator, but you exit out of the program. Is there a way that you can have those three files opened back up when you open up Illustrator again? Similar to how most text editor programs are set up -- so when you open up the program again all your last stayed-open files are there. Also, does anyone know what the terminology for this saving-behavior is? State-saving? Googling to find the answer is difficult within the sea of Illustrator 'saving files' questions.

  Hi Guys, arrived to work this morning just to find that I couldn't log on to my computer. As it turned out my computer had been "unjoined" from our domain. I am positive that I didn't "unjoin" manually yesterday before I closed the computer down. Have anyone experienced this behavior before and is it even possible? Or should I start getting nervous about anyone playing around on the serverside? I'm running my domaincontroller on a Windows2003 server and the client computer that got "unjoined" is a Windows 7 Ultimate.

• Why is Google Home page changing spontaneously

  Periodically, my Google Chrome home page (which I have originally set myself) changes spontaneously on opening the browser to display, instead, the page showing the rectangular small images of webpages I have visited before. In addition the bookmarks bar and my homepage icon has disappeared. I am also not directed to any other website location as might occur if a virus or malware were involved. I can correct all of these changes back to my original settings the way I prefer (and nothing prevents my resetting it) and can continue to browse with no difficulty but this changed situation has happened several times in the past month. I had assumed that this was an idiosyncrasy of how Chrome (mis)behaves but worry whether virus or malware might be involved. I have monitoring by antiviral and antimalware software and run periodic complete scans and occasionally these find Trojans and other malware which are removed but this browser behavior seems to recur I would like to prevent the surprises Thank you.

But, how do I fix this? UPDATE (SOLVED): Apparently, the problem is not the warning shown above, but there is another error down the road. It says that "curl_init()" is undefined. I already enabled the php_curl extension, but the PHP from CLI is not using the same .ini file as the apache one. So, after I enabled the php_curl in the CLI version of the ini, it works fine now (still giving the warning, but the test is running).

  I am using Heroku with a Ruby on Rails application, and running from Safari. I have the following Ajax call: $.ajax({ type : 'POST', url : '/test_page', data : {stuff: arr1}, dataType : 'script' }); arr1 is supposed to be an array of objects. There's a console.log right before that, and it is: [Object, Object, Object, Object, Object, ...] However, I got an error on the server side when I made this ajax call. • Snow Leopard, PHP, and MySQL

  I have just installed Snow Leopard and now my PHP/MySQL program ends in a "Segmentation fault". I have been searching the web for a solution, I realize that there are some issues with SL/PHP/MySQL, but I have not found anything that works yet. I downloaded the binary MySQL package mysql-5.1.42-osx10.6-x86_64. I have updated the php.ini file as suggested at various posts. When I run PHP and connect to the MySQL server the behavior is a bit random. In many cases it works fine to connect and read data. In my specific case the PHP program constructs a LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE ... statement to load data from a text file. It should do several such queries after each other in a loop. It works one time but the halts in a "Segmentation fault". The program worked fine in Leopard, but not now. My versions are: OS 10.6.2, PHP 5.3.0, MySQL 5.1.42

• Drupal on IIS 7 (PHP FastCGI) produces blank every 1 hr

I think this has to do with PHP Process Recycling Behavior or other things that I'm not sure about. Can you show what's the cause of the problem?

There are numerous jQuery calls in the scripts file. The place I include it does not have jQuery. I want to void all $() type things. • Microsoft Office "Read-only" warning not appearing on Samba shares on Mac OS X Server

  Hi, some of my users don't get the "read-only" warning (but "read-only" does appear on the title bar and the document is indeed opened read-only) when opening Office 2007 documents already opened by another user. We run the samba share off an XSan volume under Mac OS X 10.5.8 Server. Strict locking is on but oplocks are off (from Server Admin). At home, with a simple samba share in 10.6.3 server, it works correctly. Any ideas? or is this a 10.5.8 behavior?

  Hi, I am creating a WCF service which is to be hosted in Windows Service. I created a console application as follows I went to management console (services.msc) and started the service. But I got the following error "The LijosWindowsService service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service" I went to the event viewer and got the following "Service cannot be started. • Mac OS X: How to change word separator characters?

  Depending on your system, the word separator characters change the way you can select/delete a word (e.g. by double clicking on it or using a key combination with your keyboard). The fact is that I hate the default behavior of OSX. For example: Take the following line of code: obj.attr1.innerAttr. If my cursor is at the end of the line and I press alt + backspace, it will delete everything and not just innerAttr. I only found some apps (like iTerm) which let you change the word separator characters. Is there a way to change it for the whole system?

  i install libgtkmm-3.0-dev in ubuntu 12.04 and i try to learn and write program with c++ and gtkmm 3 i go to this link "http://developer.gnome.org/gtkmm-tutorial/unstable/sec-basics-simple-example.html.en" and try to compile simple example program : #include <gtkmm.h> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { Glib::RefPtr<Gtk::Application> app = Gtk::Application::create(argc, argv, "org.gtkmm.examples.base"); Gtk::ApplicationWindow window; return app->run(window); } my file name is "basic.cc" and i open terminal and type following command to compile: g++ basic.cc -o basic `pkg-config gtkmm-3.0 --cflags --libs` compile completed without any error but when i try to run program with type ./basic in terminal i get following error : ~$ ./simple ./simple: symbol lookup error: ./simple: undefined symbol:_ZN3Gtk11Application6createERiRPPcRKN4Glib7ustringEN3Gio16ApplicationFlagsE ~$ how can i solve this problem ? i can cimpile any gtkmm 2.4 code with this command : " g++ basic.cc -o basic pkg-config gtkmm-3.0 --cflags --libs " and this command : " g++ basic.cc -o basic pkg-config gtkmm-2.4 --cflags --libs " thanks
